So what can you do to make your Botox more effective? Not much, but there's a couple things. First off, Botox requires zinc to be active, and certain foods we eat might impair zinc absorption. So there's some logic and there's been some limited science showing that if you stay away from grains for a couple days before and after Botox and take zinc supplement, it may last longer. That that's number one. Number two is your provider should have you scrunch the muscles right before they inject the Botox, because that discharge, what's called acetylcholine. That way it takes up Botox faster. Other than that, really not much control. There's a few factors that might affect it in terms of how we're injecting it, but those are the two things that you can do to maybe get a little bit better results out of your Botox.
