Danielle Stabley, a PA-C, talks about staying healthy and mobile into old age, aiming to "be a badass at 100." She sees longevity and anti-aging becoming a major healthcare industry, and argues that cosmetic treatments work best when paired with internal health goals rather than just vanity.
I want to be mobile under my own force. I want to be a badass at 100, which means I got to be badass now. That's the game plan. I think we're going to see that one of the biggest industries in health care is going to be the ability to live longer. And what I've noticed the pattern is most people love their money and their things more than themselves. And there's a subsegment of the population that loves themselves more than their money and things. Those are our patients. They're coming in here to get some cosmetic stuff, but they also want to look better on the inside.
Some patients I was talking to, my brother actually is talking about, you know, do you love your money more than yourself? And he's like, no, but I love my life more than my money. I love my family, you know, more than my money. And I thought that was an interesting perspective, too, to think about. Even yourself, Maybe you would say, I love my life or my family even more than my money.
Right. So you want to. I want to extend that as long as possible.
