Dr. Charles Mok explains how NeuroQuant uses MRI scans to estimate your brain age by measuring brain tissue versus fluid volume. Your APOE genes affect Alzheimer's risk, and a $25 genetic test can identify it. Brain imaging through NeuroQuant costs around $300 and shows whether your brain looks younger or older than it should.

We don't really know who needs to do the interventions or what interventions are needed unless we identify the people that have risk for neurocognitive decline. Now, there's certain genes. There's a gene called the APOE gene. And just in a brief summary, APOE is a 2, 3 or 4, and 2 is protective, 3 is neutral and 4 is risk for Alzheimer's. And there's even different things called homozygous and heterozygous that's worth testing. It's probably a $25 test be a higher risk. I would definitely do the imaging for neurocognitive decline. But let's talk about neuro quantitative imaging. We're using a local radiolog called Bionic mri. They're using a company called Neuroquant, and I've been following them for a while and they really have some pretty good testing for brain age. So what we're going to look at is the amount of brain mass ratio to the amount of liquid in the brain.
