A short YouTube video by Dr. Charles Moak (Allure Medical) explaining NightLase, an in-office laser procedure for reducing snoring in people without sleep apnea. He recommends using the SnoreLab smartphone app to measure baseline snoring and to re-check results after treatment. Typical regimen described is three treatments two weeks apart, producing about a 50%–66% reduction in snoring; results often last roughly two to three years and the procedure is tolerated without general anesthesia. The speaker notes additional treatments are possible if further reduction is desired.

Hi, I'm Dr. Charles Moak with Allure Medical. So if you have snoring and you do not have apnea, well, the good news is you can do the night lays procedure to substantially reduce the amount of snoring that you have. Now, you might have a sleep score where you know how much of the night you snore. Also, I recommend you get something called the Snore Lab app. S N O R E L a B app for your smartphone. It's free and you can measure yourself a few times, get an average percentage of the night that you snore and about how loud you snore. So you have a good baseline. Then we do the night lace procedure. It's done in our office. You don't need to be put to sleep for it. It's very, very tolerable. And you do typically three treatments two weeks apart to get about better than 50%, maybe two thirds reduction in your snoring. And then you could do the Snore Lab app again about a week after your last treatment to see is it sufficiently reduced. Or you can ask your bed partner, did I stop snoring enough? And if you want to get additional treatments, you can take it down even further. Now, the durability of the results are known to last two, three years on average, can last longer or shorter, depending on the person. And it's something that we can measure and it's something you can schedule and set up and do now. Thank you.
