There are two main ways to treat the veins that cause varicose veins. There's surgical stripping and what we call laser ablation. Now, the stripping, the surgeon makes incisions along the vein and pulls it out. And that works effectively. The newer procedure is laser ablation, where laser inserted inside the vein to destroy the vein from the inside, which is far more successful, less recurrence rate, and no scars.
