A Colombian surgeon mixed platelet-rich fibrin with Radiesse during tummy tucks and found the combination produced roughly three times more collagen than Radiesse alone. A separate study of 100 women showed visible results in one week instead of one to two months.

Then a doctor in Colombia, South America, was looking at the dental literature where they were using the same product, the Radiesse product, calcium hydroxyapetate, to fix teeth. So he did a study. Being a plastic surgeon, he would do tummy tucks on people and he'd take the PRF in the calcium hydroxyapatite, mix it together and inject one side of the flap thinned out and the other side of the flap, which is the radius only, and the other areas that were untreated. And then you wait two months and do their tummy tuck and then take this, the tissue, and send it to a special pathologist that looked at what happened. So the people that had Radiesse got more collagen in their skin, the skin got healthier and younger sticker. But the ones with the PRF and radiesse together was like 3x amount of collagen deposition. So they did a study doing this on women's faces, about 100 women. And the people with the PRF, calcium hydroxyapatite, PRF, Radiesse got more results in about a third type. So instead of waiting a month or two to see something like a week.
