Dr. Charles Mok explains how to use your own blood as a filler. Draw blood, spin it to separate out platelet-poor plasma, heat the albumin until it gels, then inject it into your face for volume. It's an alternative to fat grafting that doesn't require liposuction.

Now, there's another concept called platelet poor plasma gel, and this is what people refer to as a biological filler. Using your own tissue to make a filler. One type of biological filler would be using your own fat. We've been doing that for decades. That involves liposuction, and maybe some people aren't crazy about that. We can also take your blood, draw your blood, take out the platelet poor plasma. We talked about platelet rich plasma and platelet rich fibrin. We can spin it a little bit faster and separate the platelets, which would fall down close to the red blood cells, and the platelet poor plasma, which would be the plasma, principally albumin. We extract this albumin, we put it in a special device that puts it at temperature, where it denatures the albumin and turns it into a biological filler, turns it into a solid, and that can be extruded through a needle.
