HRT and it stands for hormone replacement therapy. It's got shortened hrt, but the concept is that you're born with different kinds of cells. So we have somatic cells, which is all the cells you typically think about in your body. And then we have germ cells, which are the cells that allow us to reproduce. They're essentially immortal. So you'll pass on your germ cells, your kids and not so much your somatic cells and that's through reproduction. And those same organs produce our kidney sex hormones. So when we say hrt, it really is kind of a crude term for sex hormone replacement therapy not regarding to having sex but regarding to the sex type hormones. So we have many hormones in our body you might even think of like your cortisol level or your thyroid. And hormone replacement therapy, typically in this setting we're referring to testosterone, estrogen and progesterone. And there's a whole slew of other ones, but those are the key ones and we have tons of other hormones beyond that.
