A short single-speaker video (Dr. Charles Mok) argues that many women were denied hormone replacement therapy because doctors were scared off by the FDA and media; the speaker claims media reports wrongly labeled estrogen (including vaginal estrogen) as causing breast cancer and states that studies showed estrogen-only users had lower breast cancer rates. The whole generation of women were not given the opportunity of hormone replacement therapy because their doctors were scared off by the fda. And quite frankly, there's a whole generation of doctors that have no idea how to prescribe hormones. And it's quite simple. The media jumped on that they labeled these products, even vaginal estrogen, as causing breast cancer, which is nonsense. But when the media said estrogen causes breast cancer, interestingly, the study showed women on estrogen only had less breast cancer.
