Why Xeomin Might Last Longer

In this segment Dr. Charles Mok explains how neurotoxin products differ in their dose‑duration curves. He notes that Botox shows a weak dose‑duration relationship, whereas Xeomin exhibits a stronger curve, meaning more units tend to extend effect duration. On average, using the same unit count as Botox, Xeomin provides roughly two to three extra weeks of benefit, allowing clinicians to extend treatment intervals from the typical three‑month Botox schedule to about four months for Xeomin. This can reduce the number of annual treatments for patients. Dr. Mok also shares his practical preference regarding Dysport, citing confusion over unit conversion and its less predictable spread, which makes it suitable for some areas (e.g., forehead) but less reliable elsewhere.
