I am captivated by M.C. Escher's surrealistic and impossible sketches and patterns. I've collected his prints since I was young and built my own art collection inspired by his unique perspectives. My husband gave me a calendar a few years ago featuring similar impossible images, and it deepened my appreciation for this artistic viewpoint. Escher and other Surrealists intentionally paint perspectives that others miss, challenging us through dissonance and discomfort to see our world differently. As a futurist, I believe this is an essential skill to develop. So as we enter 2025, we must learn to embrace such innovative thinking so that we can shape a future we want to inhabit. Join me as we explore these new perspectives and develop thinking fit for the future.
