Short excerpt from a June coaching-call video where two speakers advise digital creators to specialize in a single skill (e.g., video) rather than trying to become proficient in every available tool; emphasis on going deep into what you’re good at (storytelling, hooks, food-related video techniques) instead of spreading attention across many tools.
And I think sometimes what can happen.
Is, like, as digital creators, we can.
Look at a tool set and think.
Like, we need to get good at all of them, but then what ends.
Up happening is.
Like, we're kind of using a bunch of different things and we never get excellent at one thing. And so what my encouragement to creators, creative people who are creating digital content would be is like to understand what you are really good at and go deep on that thing.
And I think what can sometimes happen.
Is, like, we see a tool as available, and we're like, I should probably get good at that. In your case, what you're really good at is video. Like, you are an excellent video creator. You can tell a story, you understand hook, you understand food as it relates to video, how all of that flows.
And then to.
Introduce, like, keyword research is like, oh, this is a very different thing.
And suddenly it's.
Like, maybe.
Not as exciting.
Maybe it is exciting.
But I think sometimes what happens is.
It feels like we enter into this necessary evil. Whereas I feel like the people who really excel at keyword research are. That's their tool.
