Chelsea Cole built her food blog on sous vide expertise but now wants to branch into recipe development and cookbooks. She's rebranding her social channels from her niche to her name, worried about losing the clarity that made her successful but hoping to avoid burnout.
I think part of that fear is I, we have all in this community talked for years and years about the importance of niching down and having a niche. And I have seen how well that can work firsthand. It's worked incredibly well for me. The only reason my blog does as well as it does is because of that. And so it can feel scary to be like, I am doing this thing that has literally, there is no Venn diagram. Like, nothing to do with what I do now. But being.
That you do sous vide and that's your specialty, but if you look at the broader Venn diagram, it's recipes, it's food, it's recipe development, it's cookbook. So I would, I would make the case that there is some overlap.
I like that. I appreciate that. It's just been a little, like, weird. And so we're reframing. Like, you know, one thing I'm in the process of is, like, turning my socials into more like Chelsea Cole versus, like, sous vide. And just like, here are all of the things that I do and just kind of trying to wrap my head around that. But I think that you're exactly right because I have felt myself kind of like, stale, burnt out, etc, for several years, and it. But this is so exciting.
