Chapters
Pretty tough match for Brother Nero. Chun-Li is a tough character to play against. I've got some action for you. Brother Nero is a go for it type of girl. Leader building. Chun's playing very patient here. Really hard to get on Chun. Chun's There. Nice overhead. Oh, the pure grab. He put him right in the corner with a mix of power and burst. Oh, nice super. Ooh, nice overhead. Rock one for Brother Nero.
Engage.
Oh, nice spin wheel there. Oh, caught him with the super R2. That's really gonna hurt. He wants to keep him in the corner for the mix-ups. Oh, seems like it's a chunky— Oh, in the corner. What's he going to do for the mix-up now? Well played for Tron.
Final round now.
Good grab. Never has really good grabs. Nice reset. Wake up. Oh, the dizzy. We're going to go for super. Round 1. Wow, very solid. Necro can be very scary in the corner with those sidekicks. It's hard to parry and block, and it's grab. It's, it's a tough matchup. Good one, first one for Brother Nero there.
Now find a new rival.
Welcome to the world of Street Fighter 3. Oh, we're switching to that hand. This is going to be interesting. In my opinion, I think he's a bit more mobile, more— can dance around Necro a little bit better. So let's see how this adjustment is made here. Nice grab right in the corner. I think he wants to get him in a corner so he can do the high and low mix-up. He has to watch out for that. Let's go, let's go! Wow, he's got the aggressive style of Brother Krab. Right back in the corner, see what he does. Ooh, wake up DP, smart! Ooh, short, short super! Okay. He's got a little bit of answers for him.
Okay, prepare to strike now.
Yeah, Brother Nero is definitely a threat in the corner. Those resets are very effective.
Final round, go for it!
Oh, wow, that's some intense magic right there. Like the adjustment from Tron Swanson. Local from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Wade is a very strong Alex player. Ooh. Alex can really load on that stun. Even as a Hugo player, you know Hugo has a lot of stun. Alex can just rack it up in a couple of hits. Oh, nice grabs. Okay, nice buttons from Travis there. Oh, nice grab! Wow, I didn't think that would work. Elena is a tricky character because she can kind of jump in and out and she's got those wacky buttons. It can be really hard to get grabs in on Elena. All right, just Wade playing very patient here. Travis kind of in and out with the buttons, dancing around Alex quite a bit. And that's kind of how you got to play as an effective Elena— a lot of dancing around, knowing your buttons. Good EX wake-up there. Going to the overhead, another overhead. Oh, nice tech grab. See, in my opinion, Elena just gets you with them small hits back and forth, those little kicks. All that damage definitely adds up. All right, pretty convincingly there for Travinx. I'd like to see if either one of them— Alex kind of slows down a bit and just kind of forces it to be more of his game. Sometimes if you go toe-to-toe with Elena, they can run all over you. Oh, okay. Oh, nice move. Oh, missed the follow-up. I don't think— oh, wake-up super! That's a little risky. Oh, nice follow-up there. Oh wow, missed it. Nice grab, nice job. Oh, shut down the anti-airs there. I think he tried to parry that. Oh, the jumping jab grab! Ah, so dirty, so dirty. That gets me all the time. Hate that move, but it's effective. It's effective. Match 1 going to go to Wade Loco. All right, fight a new rival. Welcome to the world of Street Fighter 3. Well, I got to prepare for battle. See if Travinx is going to mix it up here. He's going to Akuma. This is a pretty good matchup here, I think, for Alex. I think— I mean, it depends. The Akuma can really get Alex, but the thing Akuma has to watch out for is the stun. Only takes a couple of hits for Alex to really get Akuma in that stun. But wow, looks like Travinx is starting out pretty strong. Nice Tatsu! Oh, Akuma's best weapon right there is that Tatsu grab. Oh wow, looks like Travinx made a good choice. All right, starting off the sweep. Ooh, head stomps. I wouldn't know why he supered there. I would have saved that, but he's keeping a good distance game with Wade Loco here. Hit the grab. Oh, the wake-up DP super. Tick throw. Oh yeah, those high and low mix-ups for Akuma can be tough to deal with. All right, we are tied 1-1. Close match here. Now find a new rival. Welcome to the world. All right. Very, very strong from Travinx there in round 2. Final round, let's go! All right, I see Wade blocking a little bit more, but that Tatsu is so hard to deal with. Oh, nice grab! See, look at the stun on Kuma. Look at that, and just the damage just off a few hits. Oh, that, that's a tough one. You know, with Akuma, you live by the offense, you die by the offense. All right, both players are playing a little bit more patient. He gets him with that crouching Tatsu. Oh, the walk-up grab! Oh wow, nice tick throw! Oh, oh, he got him! Wow! Oh, okay, here we go. All right, wow. All right. Oh, you never want to jump against an Akuma. Oh, okay, try to punish that. Oh, he jumped over it, but he missed the punish. Wade's playing very patient, very patient, very calculated. Nice grab. Oh, nice overhead! Oh my God, he missed it! Wow! Oh, he missed this. He was trying to do his knee into the EX. This is still anyone's game. You can never count out Alex with the stun and the damage. Oh, he missed his move. He's jumping. Oh, he got the grab! Oh, and that'll do it! Wow, that was so close. He was Very good play from both players, very solid. We got Mungwise, who is originally known in Minnesota as the Duck King, and we have Blue Abs, which is an online player from Minnesota, one of the many strong Ureans we have here in Minnesota too. Oh, you can— Are you ready? Go! All right. Oh, nice cross-up Tatsu. Oh, oh, oh, he missed it! I thought he should have connected with that. Oh, okay, you got the grab in the corner. That's the one place— oh, nice parry! Oh, nice blocks! Oh, wow, okay. Oh, he got him! Wow! Wow, he connected! You can never count a Super Art 2 Ryu out. That hurts, let me tell you. Mungwise is pretty solid because he hits that on me all the time offline. Oh, nice grab. Okay, sweeps. Oh, crouching Tatsu, that hurts. Oh wow, he's got him in the corner. What's he gonna do, high or low? Oh, the unblock. Oh no, he missed it. Maybe some early jitters. Oh, DP right through the fireball! My God, wow, those overhead DPs are just nasty. Whoa, first match goes to Mungwise. It's kind of weird saying the name. I know him as Duck King, so I want to say Duck King, but I'm assuming the name is probably already taken here on Fightcade. All right, match 2 on the way. Let's see if, uh, Blue Abs can make some adjustments. I know he's a very solid Urien player. Oh, okay, he's got him with the sweeps. Oh, missed the DP. He's definitely utilizing those overheads. Wow, the high and low mix-up can be really deadly for Ryu. Oh, nice jump! He jumped right through the grab. He's gonna get him in the corner, see if he goes high or low. He's gonna go low. Oh, there we go. He's got his combos down. Nice parry. Wow, big adjustment from Blue Abs. Very big adjustment. If I am Mungwise, I want to stay out of those corners. Out of those corners. You don't want to get caught up in the corner there. Oh no, he misses his crouching fierce. Oh, wake up super. He's gonna punish him and get him right in the corner. He's relying heavy on those sweeps there. Oh, nice DP right in the middle stage there. Oh no, he's gonna get him right in the corner so he can activate his Aegis Reflector. Oh, oh, nice parry. Oh, okay, quick turnaround events there. It's always down to the wire. These are some really good matches, guys, if you're tuning in. Quick comeback from Blue Abs there, 1-1. All right, gotta drop a couple coins in there, hit the start button. Maybe he's just collecting his thoughts. There we go. Sometimes after a tournament, it's always good to sit back and kind of readjust, think of what you could do better, what, you know, what some changes you can make. So it never hurts to take a couple of extra seconds there. Are you ready? Go! Okay. Oh, you think he missed it? Okay. Oh, he's missing his tatsus. He's getting him with the buttons there. Oh, watch out! Oh, nice headbutt! And he's gonna do the mid-screen unblockable. Nice blocks, get him in the corner. Oh, nice sweep. What's he get? Oh, you gotta watch out. Oh, we got him with the— oh, the taunt! He got the taunt in. Uh-oh, let's see how Blue Abs responds here. Taunts usually get me going a lot stronger there. Oh, nice sweep. He's really keeping the distance well. You notice how he kind of kept it mid-screen, not allowing Urien to get him in the corner for a punishes. Oh, he tried the overhead, it didn't work. No! Oh, okay, he's got the mid-screen unblockable. Oh, nice combo! EX Headbutt. Oh, the stun and the coins! Wow, he answered back strongly. Down to the wire, guys, this is it. Oh, okay, nice punish. Oh, right there. Now he has to be careful because if he gets him in the corner, it just takes one grab to put you in the corner. That's over half your life. Oh, yep, he's gonna keep him right in the corner. Aegis is gonna go high or low? He's gonna go low, then high. Oh, okay. Oh no, Mung Lai can still come— oh, nice! Oh no, he got him! Oh, he got him with the overhead! Wow, that was a good match. It could have went either way. Wow. All right guys, no delay. I think we are getting right into it. No button check. All right, bear with me guys. Sorry for the black screen. I think we're just jumping into it here. Typically, um, Wow, Satsumo, another strong urian player there, takes round 2 convincingly. Sorry once again, guys, for the black screen. Typically we have our players, you know, press reset the game just so we can see it fully, but we'll just continue on. It's actually very evenly matched here. He's got him right in the corner. What's Ken going to do? Oh, okay. Oh, the headbutt grab! You're in on those dirty grabs. All right, looks like game 1's going to go to Sachmo.
You win.
All right, so game 1 goes to Sachmo. We are officially in game 2, guys. All right, nice overhead there. Oh, grabbing the corner. What's Ken gonna do? All right, okay, nice tech. Oh, nice DP! Wow, the damage on that. Now, Circus Cancel is another player from La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Sachmo is one of the OGs from La Crosse. We claim him now a part of Minnesota. He's our Minnesota crew. Sachmo is a veteran of Third Strike, very good player, online only player. You can find him on PS4 and Fightcade now. Nice block DP, and he's got him in the corner for Aegis. What's he gonna do? Oh, good blocking! Oh, nice EX Tatsu to get out of the corner. Oh, okay, he's trying to grab. Oh yeah, you know, grabbing Urien is very tough in this game. I don't know what it is, but you got to get really close to grab him, and I feel like the grabs always favor Yuri, and so you got to be a little smart with the grabs. It can be tough to get a hold of them. Oh, nice parry! Oh, he blocked it. Okay, right back in the corner. Sashima wastes no time. He's building meter to get that Aegis Reflector in there. Got him! Oh, see, oh wow, he puts the higher one. Okay. Nice reset. Oh, okay, it's like game 2 is gonna go to Satchmo. It's gonna be Necro and Urien. This will be very interesting. All right, got their button check through. We are on the roll, guys. You know, one thing I like about Brother Nero's playstyle is he's a very aggressive Necro, and so I really respect it. He's in your face, in the corner, got his wheel thing going, high and low mix-ups. It's just fun to watch. Look at that. Oh wow, we got him with that grab there. Oh, he's following up. All right, a little bit of meter building. We got Nero coming in with the little dive kick there. Oh, nice overhead! Oh, it's so close, any move can do it. Oh, nice! Wow, very patient from these guys, just picking and choosing their way of getting in. Oh, he got him with the super empty jump super! Very smart. Wow, this is intense. Oh, very smart buttons there from Brother Nero. Oh, nice trade. All right. Oh, he's going for the reset there. I don't know if it works on Urien though, just because of this funky hitbox. I feel like Blue Abs is just waiting to get an opportunity to get Necro in the corner there. Oh, nice super, but he misses it. Oh, oh, nice buttons. It can be really tricky to get in on Necro with those buttons. Oh, nice shoulder! Oh, and he's super— oh no, he got him! Aegis Reflex, see how he uses it? Oh, he backs out of it. Necro has a really good backdash. Oh, nice EX getting in. Pinwheel, what does he do? Oh, he does the lightning! Very smart, I never thought of that. Wow, match 1 goes to Brother Nero. All right, Texas kicking Minnesota ass. Let's see if we can change that here. We got to get this guy out of here.
Into the heat of battle. Go for it.
Okay, Brother Nero coming off very strong. He's got those buttons down. Go for it! Oh, into super! Wow, I didn't even know that was cancelable in the super. Nice parry right in the corner. Let's see what he can do. This is very scary for Necro here. Oh, he jumped out! Wow! See, the interesting thing is being a Hugo player, I never get to see these other matchups, so I just don't know how they go. But this is really fun. Oh, nice overhead! Oh, the trickiness! Wow, 2-0, Brother Nero coming out strong. All right, all right, match 1 down. Travinx and Sashmo, this is going to be a very hard match for Yuri. And now Sashmo's a very well-experienced player, definitely a veteran in Third Strike, originally from the lacrosse scene. But just as I hear, you know, the high and low mix-ups from Akuma can be tough for Urien players, but it appears that this is no match for Sachmo at all. Wow, strong start out from Sachmo. He's definitely a player that gives me a run for my money when we play casual. Sachmo beats me quite frequently, very strong player. Oh, very smart. See, I'd like to see a little bit more Tatsu from Travinx. There you go, but good blocking from Satchmo. Satchmo's trying to bait those jumps in so he can get him with the fireball into headbutt there. Oh, nice grab. Aegis Reflector, push him into the corner. Oh, nice teleport out. Oh, oh, scary to the super, but now I'll tech the grab. Oh, he put that shield up just to keep from going ahead and Tatsu in the air. Oh, nice teleport again. Oh, caught him jumping in the air. Oh, convincingly taken by Sachmo. You win. Now find a new rival. All right, we are moving things along very quickly here, guys.
Yeah, well, I got the picture. Time for the huge battle. Go for it!
Just those who are tuning in, thank you for tuning in to the Black Ice Third Strike tournament. Oh, nice parry! Oh, okay, nice jumping. Wow, oh, nice air fireball to nullify the other one. Wow, okay, a lot of patience from these guys. See Travis changing up his play a little bit more. Oh, he's going for that crouching short into Tatsu a lot. Wake up super. Oh, headbutt into the Aegis. Nice teleport, but I think there, Sachmo's baiting that out.
All right, go for it!
Travis can just Tatsu and pick his offense pretty smartly. He can kind of get Sachmo in a bit of a jam, but I would recommend staying out of the corners there. There we go! Oh, Tatsu jump! Tatsu! Okay, see, if he kind of dances around Urien like that, he can really pick him part. Oh, nice parry! Oh, okay, got the headbutt. Oh, he's going for blood, he can smell it. Stun is close, but he teleports out. Wow, good teleport into the corner. What's he gonna do? Oh, headbutt! This might be the unblockable. Oh, he got him with the unblockable! 2-0 Satchmo! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!
Well, yeah, on the way through. Well, I got the picture. Into the heat of battle. Go for it.
Okay, oh, nice parry! So this is gonna be— so after these two matches, guys, we're gonna get one more match in with these guys. It should be a first to three. This is winners finals. Oh, nice parry! Oh, and the overhead! Brother Nero starting off strong.
Engage!
Oh, nice parry! Oh, got the overhead there— the anti-air, I should say. Oh, he's got that. Uh-oh. Nice parry! Okay, answers back. Wow, Sashmo with the parries! He's parrying like Big Bad Wolf now. Oh, oh, he got him! Oh, he missed it! Oh wow, wow, I was expecting maybe EX Headbutt. That That was a close round.
Now find a new rival. Welcome to the world of Street Fighter 3.
Right in the corner where he wants. Oh, nice red parry! Wow, Nero starting off very strong. Wow, he's coming out with a strong offense. Nice red parry! Ooh, Nero coming out very strong in this tournament.
Are you ready?
Go! Wow, answers with the double parry. Keep him in the corner with Aegis. Oh, nice grab. Headbutt grabs. He's got him right where he wants him. Wow, Sachmo's ever so deadly with those corner combos. And he answers back! Wow, look at the momentum shift! Let's see if Sashmo can keep this momentum going into the next round. Oh, he answers with a long poke there. He's got to be careful because once Nero is on a roll too, he's a very momentum-based player. Oh, I think he tried to red parry that. Oh, right into the corner, right where he wants him. Oh, grabs him. This is a battle of the corners, guys. Nice grab. He's going to do Aegis Reflector. Oh, he tries to mix him up by going on the other side. Nice blocking from Satomo. Oh man, immaculate blocking. Uh-oh. Oh, nice blocking! Oh God, that was crazy amazing blocking from Sachmo! Wow, that was good defense! Oh, Satchmo's ever so deadly in that corner. Wow, nice corner combo!
Are you ready? Go!
Wow, look at other Nero coming in. Hmm. So Sachmo's goal is to just push him right in the corner. Oh, he missed his grab! Oh, I was expecting the Aegis Reflector. Now the tables have turned. Oh, he's going to try to go for the— oh, nice grab! Oh, he— oh wow, I don't know if Brother Nero planned for that to happen or not, but he just did the, the quick Lightning for the one parry. Wow. Oh, parry grab through it. I didn't know that was possible. Oh wow. Uh-oh, let's see what he does. The Egg is Reflector. Nice tech throw. Got him with it. Uh-oh. Oh, and he grabbed him through it. Wow. Okay guys, this is not over. They're gonna go again. It's gonna, it's gonna be first best out of 5. He is one of our online warriors. We try to get him out to local scene. We will someday. It's the goal. But for now It's definitely a threat, but Brother Neil looks like he's switching up to— oh God, Remi! There we go. Oh my God, and this is— I've never seen Nero play Remi before, so this is news for me here. I definitely think with Remi's short stun, I assume that Necro would have been the better choice, but we'll see. Oh, nice grab. Oh, pretty evenly matched so far. I thought the reflector was going to get him right in the corner. That's where Remy does not want to be. Oh, oh, and headbutts! All right, into the heat of battle. Go for it! All right, very slow match. A lot of fireballs, a lot of buttons. They're playing very smartly though here. Oh, misses! That's gonna hurt. He's gonna get him right in the corner. Aegis reflects. See what mix— oh, it's too far. Oh, nice headbutt into grab. Very smart play. Oh, but wakes up EX kicks there. Flash kick, I should say. This is a tough one. You're in such— oh, and with the disrespectful taunt. Here we go. Oh, caught him with that. Oh, he's wasting no time. Oh, nice parry. Wow. Oh, he missed it. Oh, okay, Sasuke just has to play very carefully. He's in the life lead for now. Oh, nice jump! Wow, he baited that perfectly. Oh, he got him! He missed it. Oh, nice overhead! Oh, he got him with the extra. Oh, he grabbed him! He gets reflector. Oh my God, watch out for the super though. Oh, he got him! Wow, Satchmo takes it! You win! Satchmo takes it! That was some intense matches, guys. That was pretty intense. So we just made it all the way through winners, guys. Thank you for tuning in. We are now going to go through the losers, so we're just getting the bracket set up here. Sashmo's in winners. So we are going to do Travinks and Tron Swanson next. Travinks and Tron Swanson, these guys are very familiar with themselves. They play quite often. Definitely Travis goes up to the local Scrub Series, um, tournaments that are held. They are part of the Jazzy Circuit. Shout out to Jazzy Circuit and shout out to Black Ice. I want to give a quick shout out to my buddy Hector. Shout out to Rob. I think we are just getting this going. All right, oh, nice setup for Wade there. Oh, good parry. Again, we got a Minnesota versus Wisconsin matchup here. Oh, nice parry! Okay, nice parry! Oh, he's got him right! Oh, he's going for the— oh, all right. A lot of Urien love here in Minnesota, very strong Urien players. He's got the— going for the mid-Aegis reflector there. Oh, nice shoulder or elbow. God, I don't know some of these moves. Keep our Aegis Reflector, keep him right in the corner. Wade just playing very patiently there. Oh, he tried to go for the big boot. He's got another Aegis Reflector. Nice blocking. Oh, got him with the overhead. All right.
Well, I got the picture. Yeah, I've been waiting for this. Into the heat of battle. Go for it.
Oh, he switched up to Ryu. Okay. Oh, crossed over with the Tatsu. Ah, okay, much better played by Wade Loco. Surprised he picked Ryu. I forgot that he played Ryu. I know his character is to be more of a Ryu— I mean, a Q and Alex player, but looks like Ryu is going very well for him. Nice tech throw. Oh, nice grab center screen. I noticed Blue Absinthe's going for those mid-screen Aegis reflectors. I want to see if that can make a difference for him here, but he's got him in the corner, doesn't need it. He's going to use it. Oh, nice low. He's going to go for the high. Nice blocking by Wade. Oh, he got him with the head But okay, all right. Oh, nice grab. Okay, okay, got the headbutt. Oh, missed the elbow. Oh, he's got him right in the corner. He's gonna throw it on. Oh, okay. Headbutt into Aegis. Shoulder, shoulder. Wow, he's got those shoulder combos down. Oh, he's got him in the corner. Oh, you think he missed his Super Art 3. There he goes. Oh wow. Oh no, he can still stun him. Oh, but he's got the Aegis Reflector. All right, good games, good games. All right, prepare to strike now. All right, these guys are definitely familiar with each other. Tron Swanson from La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Travinks from Minnesota. Travinks is a a very solid player all around. He plays just about any fighting game you could think of. Travis plays it. Oh, nice tick throw. Oh, and the target combo. This is a tough matchup for Elena because I feel like with Ken's Dragon Punches and his mobility, it's a little hard for Elena to get any moves out. Once again, Travis is no stranger to this matchup or Tron Swanson. Okay, I think he missed his Super 2. He's going into the crouching short end. All right, Travis just dancing around a lot, definitely keeping them— oh, and he got him with the Super 3! Oh, missed his target combo. Oh, and he— oh, it's not an anti-air. Oh wow, nice. Oh, and he got him! Wow, really good patience from Tron Swanson. All right, now we have Travis switching to Ibuki. This will be an interesting matchup. I know Travis has been working on his Ibuki a lot. Oh, nice DP! Plays very patiently, knows when to stick and move. Nice mix-up there. Oh, oh, nice overhead! Oh, into the EX legs there. Oh, and the tick throw! Wow, sneaky, very sneaky. Travis is a very sneaky player. He'll get you with some stuff. Good blocking there, very good defense from Tron Swanson. Oh, and the overhead! Oh, that target combo is nasty! Look at the stun on that! He's got him in the corner. Nice tick throw, crouching super. Oh, tick throw again! Oh, you got to be careful, watch out for the— oh, if he would have blocked it, I think he would have punished with this super art. Oh, and he misses it! Wow, down to the wire every match, it feels like.
Now find a new rival. Welcome to the world of Street Fighter. Well, I got the picture. Prepare to strike now.
Oh wow, that damage! Wow, very close. Okay, I see Tron's making an adjustment here. It's definitely working well. I feel like I like the I like the Chun matchup against the Ibuki. Tron playing very patiently, waiting for his moment to strike with the crouching. Oh, and he got him with that! Ouch! How's he gonna follow? Oh, and he missed it! Nice parry! Oh, he's got the grab. Oh, nice blocking from Travinx there. It's got the grab. Oh, definitely. Oh, it's so close. This could be anyone's game. Oh, he's gonna do it! He got him with the raw super! Wow, that was crazy. The raw super! Wow, I believe this is a button check, or maybe it's going right into game. Either way, let's see. Okay, it looks like it's a— I believe it's a button check. Actually, I don't know. I think we are right in game, guys. Are you ready? Go! I believe we are just right in the game. All right, so Tron's going with Ken this round. Oh, nice combo by Blue Abs there. Oh, nice grab! Oh, he's got him in the corner. Wow, definitely want to stay out of the corner against Urien. Final round, go! All right. Oh, nice chop! Oh, he parried! Wow, he grabbed him out of the super! I didn't think that was possible. See, Urien's got that dirty grab. All right, he answers back with the super. Oh, missed his target combo. I think he was going for a tick grab there. Another tick throw. Oh, target combo, and that'll do it. Round 1. Tron Swanson taking it convincing through there.
Now find a new rival. Welcome to the world of the street.
Well, well, I got pay us for battle.
Get ready.
Fighters ready. Engage. Oh, nice headbutt! Got him right in the corner, right where he wants him. Oh, grabs him! That dirty grab! Oh, EX Tatsu! That's very smart. Sometimes you never want to go air-to-air with Ken. That EX Tatsu will get you and it hurts. Oh, nice grab! Oh, nice parry! Oh, he got him right in the corner where he wants him. Oh, missed the Aegis Reflector. Good parry by Tron Swanson. Back in the corner, he's looking for the short into super there. Oh, overhead! Uh-oh, let's see how Blue Abs punishes this. Oh, nice punish! Okay. Oh, nice punish! All right. Oh, he missed his super. He was going for the short into jab into super. Oh, it's very smart. Tron Swanson's trying to stay out of that corner. Hit him with the super art. What's he gonna do here? Oh, hard punch, empty jump Grab. Oh, and right into his combo. You win. All right, and he is going with Dudley. Wow. Are you ready? Go! Okay, I didn't know Nero played Dudley. Oh, okay, Tron answering back very strongly. Oh, okay, nice. Oh, it's punishable. Yep. Oh, that's gonna hurt. Follows up. Look at the damage on that. He's in strong with the grab. Can never count Chou out. Her buttons hurt. Oh, that was smart. Nice parry! Oh, he missed the super, Chan, but doesn't matter. That one hit can do it for Chan. All it takes is one hit. Brother Nero playing very patiently. Chan looking for that super. Oh no! Oh, he missed the punish! Oh, and he missed the parry. Oh no, wake up super! Oh my God, he caught him with it. Wow, looking for trying to play very patiently and just press his buttons at the right time. Oh wow. Oh, he missed it. Okay. Oh, he missed the parry again. Tron with a big life lead here. He's in for the grab. Oh, nice parry! Wow, definitely Tron has a lot of experience with this matchup playing, um, oh, what's his name, uh, Adrian. Oh, I got a— Fody! There we go. God, I forget these names. So yes, Tron is very well experience with Dudley playing Fody, so the matchup is not new for him. That's why I'm not surprised with the parries, but he's playing very well. Oh, nice parry! Oh, trying to definitely— oh, empty jump grab. It's like Nero's keeping that pressure on. Oh, nice setup! Oh, nice parry! Chun just keeping distance. You still can't count Chun out. She can still win if she connects super once. Oh, no matter the life lead on Chun, she still has it, still has it down. It can change at any second. So we're gonna see Tron try to create more distance and not allow Nero to kind of close in the gap. Once he gets Chun in the corner, it's kind of hard for him to— oh, got him! And the damage! Ah, Tron has one super left. Oh, nice dodge under, wake up grab. Oh, walk-up grab. Oh, good blocking. Oh, just a quick jab. I was actually kind of anticipating the, the naked super. All right, final round. Remember, they must win 3 times to advance on to the grand finals. Oh wow, missed grabs. Sean's out of the corner, has a little more room to work with. Oh, looking for that Super Art 2. Very patient. Oh, missed the grab. Oh, he's gonna get him in the corner. Such patience for these players. It's a very close round. It takes this one super to really turn the tables in the corner. Oh, tick throw! Oh, he's going for the walk-up throw again. What's he gonna do? Oh, now it's up for Chun to be the more aggressor. The grab, what's he gonna do? Oh, oh, he missed the super! The chip maybe could bring it close, but can't risk it. Oh, it's even, I think. Oh wow, that was such a close game. 2-0 Tron Swanson. See if Brother Nero sticks it out with Dudley. If he mixes it up, I'm gonna see him. Oh, he's Sticking with Dudley. Okay, I was expecting him to go back to Necro. I think he had better luck with Necro in this matchup. See if he can turn the tables here. Going to grab. Oh, nice overhead into grab there. So I think Nero's going to get him in the corner and he just gets him with the high-low mix-ups and really overwhelms him. Oh crap, right through his move! Oh wow, nice parry! Chan building up some meter there. You want to close the gap in On Chan. Nice tech throw there. Oh, Oh, he misses the X. Still a very close match. One hit could do it. Oh, nice! Heck, God. Oh, the sweep! Oh, and does he chip? No! Oh my— oh, he parried it this time! Wow, that was so close. This is anyone's game, really. You can't count any of these players out. You don't want to let Chun build the meter because now she has a super, she's a big threat. Oh, Dudley has that awkward jump in with that elbow. It's really hard to parry and it hits at such awkward ranges. Empty jump grab, got the stun up. Oh, nice grab! Oh, and she's stunned, what's he gonna do? Oh, he missed it! It's gonna make it interesting. It's still in Brother Nero's favor, but it can be— oh, he got it! Oh my God, still anyone's game. Oh, Chun's got the lead! Chun just has to kick back. Oh my God, Tron Swanson did it! Wow, Chun's got one super, full three supers for Dudley. Any type of confirm can really change this. It's— oh, nice block! Oh, he missed the punish into super too. Nice parry in the corner. Oh, nice parry but didn't follow with the rest. Oh, missed the overhead. So Tron's gonna back up and just wait for him to jump in so he can catch him with the crouching short end of SA2. With 2 full bars, Tron's a big series threat now. Oh, missed the Oh, got the throw. Oh, nice tech throw. Oh, the sweep. Throw in the corner. Oh, he missed it. Trying to dash in and throw. Oh, he got him! He hit him! It's going to be 2-1. Tron Swanson in the lead. Wow, a lot of good pokes. This is an intense match. Are you ready? Go! All right, I see Tron's gonna build some meter. He's gonna stay back and it's like Brother Nero's gonna try to make his way in. Definitely taking advantage of Dudley's awkward jump range. Oh, nice! Slowly picking away at Tron Swanson there. Like I said, no matter the life lead, you can never count Chun out. It takes one super to totally turn the tables in any game. Oh, nice super jump! Oh, he missed the super. Oh, walk-up throw! Chun has a dirty throw as well too. Too. Oh, and he throws right out of the— sweet! Oh, a nice overhead there. He got him with the super! Wow. Crash into the heat of battle. Go for it! Really feeling out their distances there. Nice throw. Oh, and he got him connected into the super! He's gonna back off a bit. He's— see, Tronzy needs to stay out of the corner, kind of keep it in the mid-game so he has more room to move around. Puts Dudley right in the corner. Oh, nice parry! I think he missed his super there. Oh, one super could end this for Dudley. Oh, missed it. Oh, nice parry! Missed the grab. And another throw. Oh, and the Ross! Oh, I thought he had it! Oh, hey, A for effort. That was respectable. That's, that's— nice tech throw there. This— oh wow, right under the super! I expected that to hit Chun. I see Tron definitely taking advantage of the throws there. Oh, nice Kara throw! I'll throw again. Wow. Oh, throw again. Brother Nero has to watch out for those. Another throw. Wow. If you can turn this around into super, still anyone's game. Wow, he's in the corner, got some right into super, locked it! Oh wow, that was so close! Game goes to Tron. Whoa, that was close. Good games, guys. Wow, that was an intense losers finals. That'll give it Brother Nero third place. All right, thank you guys so much. We have our grand finals coming up, guys. So we are at the grand finals of the Black Ice Christmas tournament. For you guys that have been tuning in, we have had some amazing matches, a lot of close matches, great players. You know, I'd love to give a shout out to Brother Neo from Texas. I appreciate you. Thank you for joining this tournament. I'll follow up with you later. I got some great Black Ice merch to shoot your way. I really appreciate the, um, you know, entering the tournament. Also shout out to the Minnesota crew and the La Crosse, Wisconsin crew for supporting this Black Ice Minnesota Fightcade 2 tournament. We appreciate the donations. Shout out to Andy Tron Swanson for a big support of this tournament as well. Um, and once again, shout out to Black Ice for hosting this. Uh, it's been an intense Sunday night. We have great prizes going out for first, second, and third place. Um, most definitely. Now what's interesting is, so Tron Swanson from La Crosse is going to be playing Satchmo. Now, Satchmo originally was from La Crosse, but he is one of us now. He is a Minnesota boy. We claim him. So I don't care what anyone says, Satchmo is one of us. You are, uh, we have Minnesota and Wisconsin now duking it out in the grand finals. And so from grand finals, it looks like we are going to have to have Tron Swanson's gonna have to reset the bracket. In order to win, but it's possible. Tron is a very strong player. This is it, guys. Grand finals, Christmas tournament for the Black Ice Street Fighter Third Strike underway. We got Tron Swanson from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Team Scrub Series, and then we got Sashmo from Minnesota. Again, Tron Swanson is no stranger to this matchup. They have a really strong player from lacrosse, Ethan, AKA Mashlegs, so they definitely get quite the good matchup experience. Oh, Sashmo coming out strong! Oh, nice counter super there. Actually punish, I should say. Okay. Oh, you gotta watch out when jumping in on Yuri in there. Elbow into headbutt. Wow, Sashmo looking very strong there, very strong. So Sashmo has to win 3 to take the tournament, and Tron has to win 6. It's definitely possible. I think Tron feels a little more comfortable with the Ken matchup in this. Oh, nice parry into the elbows. Oh, nice DP and the jump in there. Tick throw. Oh, okay, nice tech. Oh, it gets you right in the corner. Sachima is going to get you right in the corner So we can just Aegis Reflector. Oh, Sashmo very strong in the corner there, looking super strong. Prepare to strike now. Who's got him? Oh, nice headbutts! Wow, he's really good at the center too. Oh, he parried that! Wow, Sachmo is not playing. Wow, Sachmo's playing like a broken Xbox. He don't play games right now.
Fight a new rival. Welcome to the world of Street Fighter. I got the picture. Get ready. Fighters ready.
Engage. Nice grab, nice grab again. Oh, right into the corner again with the headbutts. Wow, tournament point for Satmo! Oh, he's in the corner again. Oh, this is a place you don't want to be. Okay, let's see if he can— oh, he did that to keep from jumping out. Oh, nice sweep. No, Sasuke trying to bait the jump out EX atsu. Oh, gets him in the corner. Okay. Oh, he missed his— oh, he missed it. Oh, wake up super. Oh, wake up super. And that is it. Congratulations to Satchmo, tournament winner. Shout out to Tron Swanson on a strong second. All right.
