If you're interviewing for a sales job, I want you to make this, okay? So consider making or completing a template that lists potential sales leads that you have that can help the person you're interviewing with, okay? And you're going to meet with these people first, okay? And then when you meet with people in your interview, you can say, I have these leads. And they might say to you, how did you get these leads? And you'll be very proactive and you'll say, well, I leverage my network and I met with people that can be customers for you. And so remember, whenever you're meeting with somebody or interviewing with somebody in a company, you got to do, you know, four things. Number one, get them to like you. Of course, get the bond. And you have to like them, too. Remember, you're interviewing with them as well. You're interviewing them, okay? Not just the other way around. Number two, how can you help their career? Okay? Hopefully by hiring you. Number three, how can you help them to save money? Okay? And the templates will show you how to do that, meaning how to tell them how to run a certain part of their departments or do their job in a certain way that's cheaper for them and makes them look better. And four, how are you going to make the money? Okay? So think of the motivations for them, okay? And so this template will help them make money, okay? So what you gotta do is during this meeting, when you're interviewing with a person that's in sales, okay, I want you to be preemptive. I want you to think about during that meeting offering to introduce them to three or four sales leads you have, okay? You're helping them make money. Who does that? Nobody does that except for you. And remember, every battle is won before it's been fought. I want you to work hard, and then I want you to work harder. How badly do you want this job exactly? Okay? So if you know people that might be a sales customer or a person that might know somebody that might be, just talk to them on the phone and try to see if you can name drop that person on your template that you're going to give to your interviewer. Again, if this is a salesperson that you're interviewing with, okay. Better yet, come up with a list of people that you're very confident that the person you're interviewing with wants to meet but has not met them yet. And so here's an image of the template you can fill out, okay? And it looks like this at the top. And I've changed the colors a little bit on many of these templates in case you give multiple to somebody that's very senior, right. And they'll look through them and know that they're different. Okay, so this one is entitled six Sales Leads, okay? And you insert the product name in blue there. You see the blue writing where it's in caps. That's where you replace it with your text, okay? And so there's six leads. And there's a number of different criteria as to why these are leads. And you can see it there. Okay? So just fill this out to the best you can. If you only have five leads or two, then than just have, you know, delete the other three or four entries on this. And as always, your name is on the bottom. Okay? And it's another great marketing document for you. See, most people interviewing will give one document, which is their resume. The people interviewing you are going to have multiple documents with your name on it, your resume. Obviously your name's at the top. And with these exhibits, your name's on the bottom. Okay? So getting a job is very competitive. You can do this because nobody else will show this initiative except for you.
