Obviously, I'm sure you're aware Christmas is coming up, New Year's is coming up. I have gifts to buy, so money is just a little tight. Can you just reach back out to me? Like, January 1st?
Why? Like, you know, we got Valentine's Day after that. Don't we have to save up for that, too?
I mean, I'm saving up, so it doesn't really matter to me.
Right. But I'm sure, you know, we could get a partner, save up for Valentine's Day. We got the Fourth of July. Then we have, you know, more holidays. So why won't we just push this off like, another year or two years and just, you know, hope and pray things change?
I'm not gonna kick the can that far, man. I'm just, like, Christmas is coming up in two weeks, and I've got gifts for my family to buy, so it's just.
I can definitely appreciate, like, us telling our. Ourselves, like, it's not a good time, but if we just put money aside for a second, because we can definitely have a chat about it, man. Like, is this something you would actually want to do?
Oh, yeah, 100%.
Why, though?
I'll leave a lot on the table every month.
Why do you have to choose? And what I mean by that is, why do you have to choose between investing in your skill set to make more money versus buying Christmas presents?
Well, because my funds are limited.
Yeah, but why are they limited, man?
So I'm not making enough.
And how are we ever going to get to the point where our funds aren't limited if we don't actually get the skill set to start making more money? How are we going to be able to do that? How are we ever going to get there if we don't invest in our skill set?
Well, basically, off that, we wouldn't.
Do you want to stay in the same cycle to where you have to choose between you getting the skills and you actually being able to give presents? You want to choose between that?
No.
Okay. So why right now are we choosing the path that has led us to having to choose? Why are we continuing to double down on that path?
It's the holidays, man, and I just. I want to be able to give presents and gifts to everyone. That has an impact on me this year.
I can definitely appreciate that. But why do we double down on our decisions? The same path that got us to where. The point where it's like, we have to choose between the two. Between giving presents and then investing our skill set, why do we double down on that? Same path?
I don't know.
Well, if you really thought about it.
It'S comfortable right now.
I can appreciate you being open about that. Because the path that you know, even though right now you don't like the path, it's a path that's known. And this other path, you don't know it. So what does that make this other path? Uncomfortable. But who do you know who grows inside their comfort zone? Nobody said, dude, if you're sitting there, cool as a cucumber, like, I'd have to check your pulse. The fact that this is uncomfortable means that we're growing. Like, wouldn't you agree?
I agree.
So it's like, let's not focus on the money because we can figure that part out. Let's just focus on are we actually committ to change and are we committed to getting uncomfortable? If that's what's required. Are you actually committed to do that?
I am.
Okay. Why are you though?
Because I don't want to keep going through the same path that I've been living for the last couple years.
But like, you could. So it's like for you, like, why is that path no longer acceptable?
Like you pointed out, there's Valentine's Day, there's fourth of July, there's other holidays coming up. I guess there's always going to be an excuse to push it off.
And we can always be that guy who's like, new Year, new me, go to the gym. You see those New Year's people come in. How long do they stay around?
Maybe a week.
There's a reason for it. What do you think that reason is? Because if they're really serious, when would they have started yesterday for you? Let's not focus on what we can't do. We'll be here all day. Let's actually focus on what we can do. So bills, expenses aside, like, what are you actually working with that you can invest in yourself? So again, I'm not putting you out on the streets, but we can actually increase the skill set so we can start making more money right away.
Do you have any like, buy now, pay later options we have?
It just depends on like what your situation is.
I have a couple grand.
Well, if you have a couple grand, this is what we can do for you.
