STOP offering payment plans

Sales coach Christian Polk says stop offering payment plans. Quote a single price, stay silent, and let the prospect respond. Only ask about their budget and payment options if they push back.
Stop offering payment plans, you're losing money. Instead. When you get to the end of a sales call and you tell someone the price, you're going to say so to work with me over the course of the next 3 months, it's a one time investment of 5k 10k then shut the fuck up.
Shh.
Silencio. Becky. What you're not going to do is say it's a one time investment of 3K. But you could do like payment plans or we could split in half and then start listing off a bunch of stuff that they get extra instead.
So she is right. I mean I maybe want to be so girl bossy explaining it the way that she would, but you don't want to overcomplicate the, you know, you dropping the price. So I'm just going to be very, very simply, hey, the investment required to get you outcome not to work with me, they don't care about you to get outcome is going to be this. Any questions on how that works? Right now I'm just flushing it back to them again. This. Oh, you need to be silent as soon as you drop the price. It's kind of like old salesy bullshit. I don't really see much of a difference. But you do not want to over explain. If you try to over explain then this is going to come across desperate. The one caveat I would make to that is if you get a lot of price shock, what price shock is is when they hear the number they freak the fuck fuck out, right? And they don't even listen. They don't even allow you to even move the conversation forward at all. On some offers this will happen most likely like a fitness offer or a non ROI offer which means you don't help people make more money. If you're on an offer that gets a lot of price shock, I would add in a little bit at the end. Okay. So the investment to go ahead and get you to a point to ABC result is just going to be $5,000. Okay. There's a couple of different ways to break it up, but it's just going to depend on what works best for you. Any questions on how that works? And if they ask, oh, how does the payment plans work or how does that work or whatever it like. Yeah, it's just going to depend on your situation. Any particular reason why you ask? I need to get them to tell me the objection before I even go about trying to handle it. Give them different payment plans and different things on those lines. So overall I think it's good like get them to actually tell you what the objection is. Where I'm going to disagree is you don't want to ask, hey, hey, what would make this more digestible for you? Actually ask what they have. Like, hey, bills, expenses aside, like, what are you even working with? Not what would make it more digestible? Because their definition of more digestible is probably going to be different than your definition of more digestible as a salesperson who's trying to collect as much cash up front. Right. So once you understand what they have, what they're working with, then you create a game plan with them. But overall, not bad, right? Some decent advice.
