"You might be a scam?" vs. $8m Closer

Christian Polk argues that 99% of online ventures deliver on their promises, not 1% scams. He says media amplifies negativity bias, citing Tai Lopez as a high-profile example. Polk pushes back on fear-based thinking, saying skepticism paralyzes progress more than actual fraud does.
You might be a scammer for all I know.
Yeah, maybe I am, man. What makes you say that?
I've seen this one guy get sued. I think his name was Tai Lopez. I don't know, man. I just don't trust the space right now.
But walk me through, man. Like, when you're talking about, like, scams and stuff out there, especially now in today's internet, do you feel like back before is easier or is it harder now? Because Tai Lopez was a while ago.
Well, now there's a lot more people, so more competitive.
But then also you have people, their whole career is basically exposing scammers. So if somebody is a scammer, how long until people actually figure that out in today's internet, bro.
Just a matter of time.
So can I share perspective on it, man?
You may.
All these businesses you see out there, I'll tell you, most of them are not scamming because if they were, they would get found out. And then once they're found out, how long do these people stay in business?
Not too long.
The people you're seeing right now, 99% of them are actually doing what they say they do. Now, some are better than others. Like, don't get me wrong, it's the 1% that are scams that everyone actually focuses on because our brain, our mind is just focused on negativity. That's why if you turn on the news, they're always going to tell you that the world is burning down. But when you go outside, does it actually connect to reality?
Most of the time, though.
What do we actually want to focus on right now for ourselves? Do we want to focus on like the negativity and the 1% of scams out there, or do we want to focus on what we can actually get out of it and the 99%?
Focus on what helps me.
Why though?
The negative mindset, it doesn't help. It just makes you too scared to do anything.
I do have to ask, dude, if we do stay in more of that negative mindset or we tell ourselves things like, you know, it's too good to be true, ultimately, where is that going to lead us?
Same spot.
Do you want to be in the same spot?
Not anymore.
So what do we need to do to make sure we're getting out of that spot and we actually do something about this and we change?
Gotta get the skills and do it. Let's do it, man.
