Behind the Scenes of Tribe

Christie Renee Hawkins walks through Tribe, an art community with live painting lessons, a vault of 200+ tutorials, and a Facebook group for members. At $47 a month, it's built on confidence, creativity, and what members call sisterhood.

Hello, Dena Spindler here. So the reason that I joined TRIBE— I started out as just the Painting of the Month Club and probably was only doing that for about 2 or 3 weeks and got the opportunity to go out to the Social Easel Live out in Branson and quickly fell in love and quickly fell in love with the group of women, quickly fell in love with Christi and what she's about, and decided to join Tribe as soon as she opened it up. So I've been in just, you know, a few short months but have learned so much. Never would I have imagined being able to paint some of the things that I'm painting. Just have a newfound love and passion from being a part of this tribe, not only for the paintings that we do together and the things that we learn from Kristi and from some of the guest artists, but also just the support and the love and encouragement and affirmation and all the wonderful, beautiful things that we get from all the ladies here in the tribe. So I am super happy that I joined. I'm super excited for all the things that in the future that we're going to learn and participate in together as sisters. So thank you, Christy, for doing this. Um, love you and love this group and love what you're about.
Thanks.
Hi, I'm Lori, and I became an Inner Tribe member in the fall of 2022 because I had just done Summer Funky Flowers, the workshop that Christy did, and I just had a great time. So it was just a lot of fun, and I thought, well, maybe I, maybe I could do this. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little scared because I thought, oh my gosh, I've seen what so many of these women do, and it's just beautiful, and I don't know that I can do that. And I jumped in and did it anyway, and I'm so glad that I did. I think I was afraid that it would be kind of too hard and, and I wouldn't succeed. And you know, you just start talking yourself into things. And I still concentrate a lot when I do it, but I have found that I'm starting to think like an artist, and I'm really proud of myself, and I'm having fun. Even when I was picking out flowers from my garden, I was thinking about, oh well, now these colors go together because of you know, they're opposites on the color wheel. And, um, so anyway, um, I just think it's been a great experience for me. I've gained so much confidence. I have a new hobby, and, um, you know, I show people and, and they're like, oh my gosh, you did that? So, um, it's great.
Hey everybody, okay, we are here for our final live together this week. I should have refilled this water before I came back in here. This morning was one of those mornings where I got done um, doing the mindset session with you and then thought, now I'm gonna get prepared for the 1 o'clock session. And then everything that could happen in the span of that 2 hours that just went by, um, has. So, so I am pulling things up, um, right now to make sure that I'm not forgetting anything to go over. With you guys. Ignore my yawn, it's just been a long and crazy week, um, but it's been a really, really fun one. So, um, I just want to thank all of you guys for being here, hanging out with me, learning a little bit more about TRIBE. And so in this session, we're gonna go over basically everything. Um, we're gonna go behind the easel, you get a peek inside of TRIBE. Um, I'm going to share some more TRIBE sisters' stories with you because their stories are just amazing, and I love for you to hear from them. And most all of them were in the same, um, boat as you at this point. They're in the comments and they're curious and they're wondering if they can do it, can it fit into their life. And maybe you've seen my paintings. Maybe you've watched the joy of the community from the sidelines, and you hear about it and you see about it, and maybe you've had a little tug on your heart that, you know, you want to be a part of this, or you feel drawn to being a part of this, but you haven't quite made that leap yet. So we're gonna talk about all those things, um, today. I'm going to show you everything inside. I'm going to share some more stories with you, and then I am going to open it up at the end to answer any questions that possibly I did not cover while we're going over everything today. So what I would suggest for those of you watching is hang on to your questions right now. Let me kind of guide you through everything that I have planned, and then after I show you all the things— which I'm writing down right now one more thing to not forget to show you— um, Then if you still have some questions for me, I will answer those. So I'm just jotting myself a note down here really quick. Um, Sherry, I'm sorry to hear that and hope you continue healing. Um, if you haven't been able to access the classes, um, those replays are available through Sunday. And then if you become a tribe member and join us, then you're able to continue access to those because we are adding them to the Tribe Sister Vault. Um, Michelle said, I joined Tribe. Is there a Facebook group for Tribe Sisters? Yes. So Michelle, um, and everyone who joins, as soon as you join, you should have a welcome email from us, and it has the links to everything that you need. That link was also on the thank you page when you got done signing up. But yes, there's a Tribe Sister group. I'll be showing that today. Um, if you don't see that email, make sure that you are searching for— hold on just a second— this email. So if you, um, you can copy and paste that from any of the emails that you've gotten from us, put it in your search bar in your email, and you should see that welcome email from us with all your information. And if you don't see it, you can just email in and they will, they will guide you along. But you should have a link to join. Welcome, Sue! So glad you joined. And we are gonna have our— for those of you that are new and coming in, we are doing our big welcome ceremony on Tuesday. So it's gonna be similar to this, but I'm gonna be walking you through where to find everything, and we'll go into more detail about all of that. Okay, Michelle, it should have taken you to the Facebook group. So if you're having issues, email into support, and they'll guide you in the right direction. Um, okay, so let's get started. Let me turn my notifications off really quick so we don't have any more interruptions here. Okay, so first let's talk about what you're actually going to get when you become a Tribe Sister. So when you become a Tribe Sister, you're going to get step-by-step live tutorials with me. So very similar to what you've experienced in this paint week, they are taught in the exact same manner. So we use those StreamYard links, we, um, put them up in a calendar, we send you those links. That's how you join us live, and you're just painting with me. So this is your chance. Um, you know, I was reading some of my Tribe Sisters' comments, and there's So many of them I have not met, um, in real life, but they were like, it's just like, I feel like Christy and I are friends, and it's just her sitting at the kitchen table painting with me. And that's exactly what I want it to feel like. Um, so I teach these live where you can interact with me. You don't have to know a thing about painting. You don't have to have any experience. I'm going to walk you through each step of every painting that I teach. Step by step. If you can't join us live, I know that's always a concern for a lot of people. I don't have a set schedule, and everyone that is in TRIBE is from all over the world, which is a really, really cool thing. But I like to remind people of that because sometimes we think like everyone lives in the same time zone as us, and that's not true. So there is no perfect time. Um, to do those live lessons. And again, I alter them month to month, so it's not a set time. But the great thing about them is you have immediate access to the replays as soon as they're over. So you don't have to set your schedule around when I teach live. If you can join live, that's great, but I want you to know, like, you are still going to be able to access those replay videos. Um, you're never behind. Everyone is working on their own schedule. Um, so you do what you feel drawn to do inside of Tribe. You're going to realize you're going to have a lot of choices inside of there. Um, so we, um, you'll be able to access those replays and do everything on your own pace. Um, you will also get access to our, um, our whole library of paintings. So we call this the Tribe Sister Vault. There are over 200 painting tutorials in there as well as technique lessons, previous devotionals that I've done, live Q&As, critiques. It is just— think of it like, I mean, we say like, think of it like Netflix for painting. It truly is like you can just scroll through and pick what you want to do. But if you're like feeling like, I just feel like I don't know like my brush strokes enough, like I don't know like what brushes to use for what, we've got a video for that. If you're like, I'm not sure about color mixing or like how to edit my photos and like share them online, we've got videos for that. And if you're like, I feel like painting a bird today. We've got videos for that. So, um, and that isn't going to be like your resource. This is kind of— I think of it like a resource library. It's your tutorials, it's techniques, um, your templates if there's templates available, your color lists, everything that you need to do any of the paintings or the lessons with me are all going to be in that Tribe Sister Vault for you. Carolyn said, I tried to join but I'm not sure if it went through. So, um, Carolyn, did you see, like, when you hit complete purchase, did you see a thank you page that popped up that said you're in, congratulations? Um, and you should have also received a welcome email. So double check that, double check your email, make sure, um, you look in your spam folders and all that good stuff. And then if you're still not sure, then email in. I can check with them after this call and see, make sure that you got in there. Okay, so if you didn't get any of that, then it sounds like maybe it didn't finish going through. So make sure— you will get a confirmation screen. You will see like, it— thank you, you're in, like that whole, whole type of thing. Okay, and then you are also going to get obviously our Tribe sisterhood. We call ourselves Tribe Sisters. I honestly can't even remember how I came up with that name many, many years ago, but that's, that's what it feels like to me, is a sisterhood. And so I was like, okay, we're Tribe, we're sisters, we're Tribe Sisters. And this is one of the most beautiful parts of this, is our community. These are the women who are cheering you on celebrating your wins, big or small, and, you know, helping give you the courage to like pick up the paintbrush again when, when life gets crazy, when life gets messy. Like, it's okay. Like, I want to say this up front, everyone has to take breaks sometimes. Everything that I have been a part of, like in adult life, continued learning, anything that I do, um, I think sometimes we think, well, if I can't give 150% to it, then I'm not going to do it at all. And man, I can't tell you, like, that's the biggest, like, absolute no. Like, don't think you have to be able to do everything that I'm talking about today when you see what's available. I want you to think about these as, like, resources available to you when you fit it into your life. And we're going to talk more about that because I have a planning calendar that I made for the Tribe Sisters. Um, I think at the beginning of this year is when I issued that to them because this was a huge concern that I saw with people and they felt like, I'm not sure, am I utilizing it enough? And I need like a better plan. This is for your convenience. Everything is available on your own schedule, okay? But this planning calendar is going to help you— things I've been talking about all week— but like mark that time down in your calendar for yourself, no different than you would any other appointment. If you were taking a college course right now, you wouldn't just show up to that college course whenever you wanted to, right? Like you would have a set time that you're like, this is when I'm painting, this is when I'm taking that class. So like start treating, you know, taking online classes in the same way, right? So plan it out. I'm going to go through the full calendar with you and how we share that with you as Tribe Sisters, and then how you can work that into your schedule. Um, so let's talk about a few of the things of, um, that you may be thinking right now. And that first one is like, I don't have— I don't know if I have the time. Like, do I have the time to commit to this right now? Um, time is usually one of those top things that is like keeping you like on the fence, like, I'm not sure, do I do it, do I wait? Um, you don't need hours upon hours a week to become a part of Tribe, and I don't want you to think about it as just more tasks for you to get done. This truly is about being a part of a community And it is about a lot more than just painting, as you've heard multiple tribe sisters say. Um, so it's about— even if you don't have time to paint that week, you're still a part of it. You're still in the group. You're seeing what other ladies are doing. You're cheering them on. And then maybe you don't get to paint till the weekend, or maybe you grab 30 minutes on Mondays and Wednesdays that you're going to sit down and work on a painting. It's not about you finishing Okay, like let's use next week as an example. Next week I'm teaching the hydrangeas painting, and, um, I'm teaching that on— I don't know what day off the top, but I think I teach you to do it on Wednesday. Um, but like let's say you're like, well, I can't do that on Wednesday. That's okay, doesn't matter. And let's say that that class ends up being an hour and a half long, and you're like, well, I don't have an hour and a half, or if it takes Christy an hour and a half, it's probably going to take me 3, right? I don't have 3 hours next week to paint. That's okay. And you don't have to— I think it's really important that we let ourselves realize you don't have to sit down and complete a full painting in one session. In fact, most artists don't do that. Like, I mean, if that works out, that's great, but like, think back to all the famous artists in the history of the world and those of us who are not so famous now. Like, do you think I sit down and paint one whole painting at one time and never get up and leave and come back and have multiple sessions with one painting. Painting can be done on your pace, in your schedule. Like, I'm a very busy mom of 3. We have all kinds of things going on. Our schedule is nuts. So most of my painting time is broken up into segments of time, and then I break it down and I plan that into my calendar though, so that I can make sure, um, that I have that time. Because I know— and I'm talking about like just for painting for me too, not just work painting— Um, like, painting is 100% my therapy. And when I'm super stressed out, I'm like, I gotta go to the studio, I gotta paint, I gotta have my time to myself, I gotta paint. So just remembering, like, this can be like your reset button. If you need 30 minutes to step away, come hang out with me, come hang out with the tribe sisters and paint for 30 minutes. It's going to fill your cup back up. Um, if you're worried about the money part of it. The cost is $47 a month or $470 for the year. And I get it, but this is not just a painting class. You are getting so much more. You're investing in yourself. You're doing something for you again and for your peace and for your growth. So for $47 a month, it's not just— think of that as like one dinner. Oh my gosh, by the way, how expensive is like going out to eat now? Like that's one dinner out a month. What if instead of you doing that one dinner out a month, you take that $47 and invest it in yourself instead? You invest that to give back to you, to show up for you, to do something to help you grow in something that you're passionate about that you really want to learn. So it's really about changing— just talked about it all week long— changing your mindset around stuff. Our knee-jerk reaction when we hear the cost of anything that's not already in our budget, we're like, that's too much. I can't do it. Well, let's slow down and like break it down. Like, that's like $12 a week. $12 a week. Okay, so for a little more than a dollar a day, you could completely change your life. And I know that's a bold statement, like, oh, I've changed my life for a little more than a dollar a day. But when you hear these Tribe Sister stories and you talk to these other ladies, that is actually what is happening for them when, when they show up and when they invest in themselves. They are seeing a change in themselves. And I'll tell you, we've talked about this, like, being for therapy. I go to a therapist. Guess what? It's a whole lot more than $47 a month, right? Like, so, like, think about, like, what you're actually paying for. This isn't just you paying for a painting class. And by the way, back when I used to teach in-person paint classes, one paint night with me was $40 to $50 for one painting. And now for $47 a month, you have access to over 200 paintings with me anytime you want them. You don't have to wait for me to do a live event. You don't have to wait for me to host a paint night and pay that for one painting that you walk away with, and then you never get to see those videos. That technique again, right? Like you have continued access to this. So the value of what you're getting inside of TRIBE is, is amazing. And for the transformation that I know you're going to see and the confidence and that I know you're going to get from joining is so worth it. So what about those of you this week who were saying, we talked about this yesterday, Worried that you're not good enough, um, worried that maybe you're not creative, or I wasn't born that way. Those are all lies, by the way. Um, every one of you is creative, and you may have just not had the right resources in your life, um, to be able to pull that out of you. And I feel like that is one of God's purposes for me on this planet, is to use his love and his light and his joy and spread that to as many people as possible through art. I feel like that is why he put me here. I feel like he has continued to bless my direction in sharing art with you and sharing painting with you, because I, I see the ripple effect of what it's doing. Um, so if you haven't found that place yet where you can really explore your creative side, I mean, I would love to be able to help you do that. And, and that's what I do for these ladies inside. Um, it's not about you. Being good enough. It's not about waiting until you're good enough to come into Tribe. You're good enough right now. You don't have to have any experience. That's the whole point. I want to teach you in a way that's fun and it's easy and it's full of grace. We need a whole lot more grace in this world, and there's a whole lot of grace inside of Tribe. And we talk about how we focus on progress, not perfection. We're trying to break people from the mold of perfectionism and really focusing on the process and the progress of being creative instead, and helping you uncover that for you, not for anyone else, for you. Um, and maybe you're watching and you've said, I've, I've tried doing this alone and I just feel stuck, so I've already tried and it already doesn't work for me. And that was why we had the session today about community, because you weren't meant to do it alone. You were meant to do this in a community environment with other people cheering you on. And inside TRIBE, you aren't ever alone. You're not only going to have me as your guide teaching you the same way I've taught thousands of others, and you're also going to have this group of amazing TRIBE sisters behind you. There's no more trial and error and isolation. And I, I guess I'll try this tutorial and I'll take this class from this person. We're going to grow together inside of this. Um, so I'm going to give you a quick— do you guys want to tell me what you want to see first? Would you like to see inside the Facebook group first and see what the community is all about, or would you like to see inside the vault? And then, um, after that, I'm going to share some of the Tribe Sister stories with me— with you, not with me. I know them. I'm going to give you guys a second to vote, and then I'll be ready to go. Okay, Teresa says she wants to see what this community is all about. Sherry says tribe. Okay, let's go take a peek and see what our tribe sisters have been up to lately and what our community, um, Facebook group looks like. So let me pull this up. Okay, hang on. Let me see if I can make this bigger. I'm trying to pull up 2 screens at one time so I can make this as big as possible for you guys. Okay. So Everyone sees this okay? We're good. So this is our Tribe Sister Facebook group, and you can see right up at the top, this is where we put our monthly calendar, and we, and we give it to you guys in a couple different ways, and I'm going to go over that. But if you're ever like, I don't know what's going on inside of Tribe, but let me go check it out, well, the header of our group always has our calendar on there, so you can see exactly what we have going on. So starting next week, um, we have a full month of things ahead for you. So this whole week, Tribe has been doing this paint week with me. So we actually start all of our Tribe stuff next week. On Tuesday, we are doing our welcome ceremony. On Wednesday, we are doing the hydrangeas painting. And then, um, the following week, on that Tuesday, we're doing my new Coral Skies and Turquoise Water. Um, that is that impasto style, like heavy-bodied ocean scene. And then on Wednesday, May 21st, we're doing a live Q&A, and we purposely scheduled the live Q&A in for this first month for so many new Tribe Sisters. By the way, I'm so— like, we have welcomed over 100 new members, um, this week so far. And so we wanted to make sure that we're bringing you in and holding your hand right away, um, and guiding you along on this journey. So we're making that a Q&A. So any questions that you have when you come in, you can submit for that or come and join me live and ask them there. Um, Thursday, May 22nd, we do our Tribe Sisters Zoom party. And then, um, obviously the paint, paint week is listed down below there. So that is just our header. That is just a quick, um, look at what we have to come. So when you come into the group I'm gonna go to the discussion feed. And of course, this is on desktop. So okay, keep in mind, this is what it looks like on desktop. It may look a little different on your phone, but not much. When you come in, whether you're on your phone or here, it's going to take you to the discussion section. And this is where everyone is sharing their work. So right below here, this is where you can share. So if you want to like post a painting, you can say, hey ladies, blah blah blah. And then you click this little photo button and you can share with us and it will go into the Facebook group. Then we have our little featured section here. This is all the important things you need to know inside a tribe is always going to be in the featured section. I'm going to go over that a little bit more, but then you come down to other Tribe Sister posts and Facebook chooses how you see this stuff. So you can come in and click on this little drop-down and you can see new posts first. You can see recent activity, which is like what has been commented on, blah blah blah, all that stuff. Or you can see most relevant, that's just letting Facebook pick for you. So I'm gonna hit a refresh here. Okay, so this is, um, Wendy's from, uh, Tuesday. Yeah, that was Tuesday night we did the florals. I love her take on it. Um, she said, finally dry enough to see the beads as well. She did it with multimedia, so she used scrapbook paper and beads. And this is where, like, you're gonna start being inspired by the other ladies in the group, kind of like what we talked about this morning. It's fun to see what everyone's working on. Um, this is Mary's from earlier this week. Um, obviously, like, stuff we're sharing with you guys and giving you the links to things. We do a Tribe Sister Weekly Win. These are always fun, and honestly, for me, like, the highlight of my week I love coming in here and seeing what some of the Tribe Sister wins are. So let's look at a few of these. April said, it happened to not be painting, but I was listening to you talk and readjust wording to sound positive. So when I commented to someone in Tribe about not having time to paint, I turned my words around to be positive because I will, I will get to paint, just not at that time. Finding the positive and speaking it into existence. So like, that's awesome. And this is what I'm talking about, like, it's not just about painting, right? Like, we're going through this whole thing together. We all need help with our mindset sometimes. We all need that reset. And that's why having a community, being able to do it together and have me as your coach or your teacher, however you want to say it, like, to give you those reminders, like that we can reframe things. Um, and Jan, I love this. This is the same— Jan said, my win was realizing that I'm not the only one afraid to think that I'm enough and that my art isn't enough. I've learned that I need to change my self-talk about my art and why I create. I do it for joy and to celebrate the gift I was given from God. Thank you, Christy, for yesterday's talk. So I love that, like, that's just showing you kind of like what you know, what women are sharing in here. Um, Crystal said, painting with palette knives, I was so happy with the results, and my husband said he thought it was one of the best pictures I've ever painted. Yay! I learned so much in these 4 days and look forward to this new journey I am on. The morning mindsets were great and uplifting. What a huge blessing Tribe is. Thank you so much, Crystal, for sharing that. Um, so I just wanted to just kind of give you guys a little bit of a peek into like the weekly wins, um, and then just some of what— this is so pretty, Miss Pauline— uh, some of what the ladies are working on. And, um, this is Christina's from the other day. Look at Deanna's, uh, use, uh, Dina's. Sorry, you saw Dina at the beginning of the video that I shared, um, on this stream. That was Dina, um, talking first. And this is her painting from the Palms. I love it. I'm just telling you, I love the colors of this. So yeah, everyone's working on something different, right? And it's just fun to come in here and see what's going on. We have, we have Tribe Sister posts where people will post something like this and then say like, show me how you guys are organizing your space, like how do you keep your supplies together. We have ask threads for that kind of stuff. So it doesn't just have to be about what did you paint this week, right? But it is also fun to come in here and see what everybody else is working on as well. This one's so pretty, Sandy. And then if you want to do, um, over here on the side, you see this thing that says, um, recent media. You can just jump over here and start like clicking through and seeing, um, different photos from the different ladies if you want to go that route. So that is just an overview of like how we share kind of like what's going on inside the Facebook group. I'm gonna go back up to the top and don't let this overwhelm you again. Just keep in mind, I'm, I'm showing you all the things. You don't have to like have a master plan right now. I just saw Carolyn said, not sure where to start. And we're gonna get to that. We have a welcome guide and I'm gonna walk through that welcome guide with you. It's gonna tell you exactly how to get started. So that you are not overwhelmed. Um, Marie said, I have a win to share. My daughter likes my paintings. Okay, that's good. So, um, so that's the discussion feed. And then, um, if you jump over to guides, this is guide number 1 where you want to go, right? As you're coming in, guide number 1 is getting started. This is where the welcome guide is. This was my last welcome ceremony in the fall of 2024 when we last opened doors. This is where you can get your Tribe Sister planning calendar. We're going to talk about all these things. Guide 2 is May lessons and resources. Any resources that you need for what we have going on will be here. And then April, these are like the color list um, that we had for April, paintings, all of those are listed here. And then the way that we organize, so we start it here in the Facebook group currently, and the month before, what we have, the newest material that we have is stored here, like your resources for it, until we have time to move it over to our Tribe Sister Vault. So it'll be here and then it will be moved over to your Vault along with all the other paintings, um, from the past as well. Um, then the featured section, like I said, if you're ever like, I'm not sure what's going on in Tribe or what Kristi's doing this week, and is there anything like, is there a contest going on, I don't know what's going on, come to the featured section. And remember that you can keep scrolling. Um, so you can come to the featured section. This is where we're sharing the links, obviously, with the Tribe sisters so they can join us. Um, for Paint Week. So we get past those, um, this is where Megan, who is our community manager— she's been hanging out with us all week behind the scenes answering your questions in these comments, um, but she is our actual Tribe Sister community manager. So she does all the organization and all the back-end stuff for Tribe, and she's showing you how to access your bonuses that you get when you sign up. So that's a quick walkthrough for you there. This is another Tribe Sister raffle that we're doing, um, and they're sharing their stories. So that is in the featured section, and we're going to be sharing some of those stories with you here shortly. Um, obviously there's a lot of Paint Week going on, so that's taking up, um, a lot. But this is what I wanted to get to. Um, so I showed you the calendar at the top, which is like our header of the Facebook group, right? But We also have, let me see how this is showing up over here. Okay. We also have a printable calendar. So we make it both ways. We do it in list form and we do it in, like calendar form. So you can print it off, which is what I recommend. I recommend printing it off. And then I'm going to show you how to work that with your planning calendar. So this tells you everything that you need to know what's going on each month inside of TRIBE. and you can mark it on your calendar, um, on those days if you're able to join us on those days. But you can also print this off and then mark on your calendar when you're going to sit down to do that lesson, because it may not necessarily be when I do it live. And again, a lot of the— I will say most of the Tribe Sisters, they join me live for those lessons like the Hydrangeas or the Turquoise Waters. But they're not painting during that time, so they'll watch and join live so they can hang out and chitchat and ask questions. But then they paint it on their own time, and they can go back and access that replay. Sorry, Marie said her whole comment didn't go through. She said her win this week is that her daughter liked her painting. She said when she showed her the tropical sunset with the palm tree, she said, I love it. So that's always a good— it's always a good win. Okay, so I wanted to show you that calendar. And then we also include, like, when we release that on the first of each month, um, and then we also show the paintings that we're doing. So this is the Turquoise Waters, Coral Skies. This is the hydrangeas that we're doing this month. So we try to include those Oops, that took me back to my page. We include those, um, on that, that, um, calendar post on the first of the month. Um, Lori said, will the Tribe Sisters have access to the hummingbird from May 1st? Yes. So, um, you actually already have access to the hummingbird. It is part of the Tribe Sister Library. So Painting of the Month Club, those are not new paintings that I do each month. Those are taken from the Tribe Sister Vault But what we do is we put those, um, they're in your Vault, so you can just search hummingbird in the Vault, and I'll show you that in just a second. But then you also get it added to your library later as a separate— it's broken down separately for Painting of the Month Club too. So yes, you already have access to that. Okay, what else was I going to show you in here? I think that's it. So let's jump over. Oh, I know what I can show you next that will take a little break in between this and the vault. Um, let me switch screens here. Okay, so we're talking about obviously like the calendar and stuff. So a few months ago, like I said, I think I gave this to them at the, the beginning of the year, I created a Tribe Sister painting planner, um, and found this to be super helpful. And would— and I actually had a tribe sister reach out to me last month and said, you know, I went a couple months without using that and thought like, I can just— I'll just do it when I have time type of thing. And she's like, I found like, I, I'm— I hardly painted that month. So I pulled my monthly painting planner back out, I sat down, I matched it with what you had going on in the calendar, and then in my calendar, which is what you see here. I wrote down when I'm going to do those classes, and it helped me so much. So that is exactly why I created this, the painting planner. Again, you can print off our calendar that we already make for you, but then you can use this to fill in. Like, okay, let's say like this Wednesday on— I'm just going to say the 22nd, I don't know what day it is, but that's when Kristi's teaching the hydrangeas. Okay, well, I may watch it with her that day, but I know I can't paint it then. I've got an appointment Thursday. I'm going to block in time Friday night from 6 to 9, and that's when I'm going to paint that painting. This is how I want you to use the planner, because again, we have to make those appointments with ourselves. We have to put ourselves back on the priority list, right? And this is, this is to help you do that and help you brainstorm. Like Carolyn was just saying, she's not sure where to start. So this painting planner is here to help you. Um, as you start digging in and looking through the vault, you're going to start finding like, oh, I want to do that painting, I want to do that painting. So you can start listing out, or maybe sessions. Like I said, maybe you need to learn color mixing or brush strokes. You're going to start writing down what you want to do this month in Tribe. Do I expect you, or should you expect yourself, to get through that whole list No, that's not the point. Again, we're not trying to give ourselves stress or create more headache, but it is allowing you to create a list of what you want to get through and then start creating goals for that. They don't all have to get done in one month. Um, whatever you don't mark off this list, carry it over to June, and then it can move on to your June list, and then you can add other things that you may want to do in June. Um, but these are here to, again, help keep you organized. As creatives, we tend to be a little bit scattered, so having these little things can be helpful. Um, and then you can decide, like, what is my focus this month, right? What do I want to do? Do I want to complete my first painting? Do I want to really, like, work on my basics? I want to really understand my brush strokes. I'm going to practice in my mixed media pad every day. Like, what— whatever that means for you. These are for your goals for the month. And then your top 3 projects that you want to do. And then decide right here how many hours a week do you want to paint. And that may change week to week, but it's really about setting goals and holding yourself accountable. And something that's even more helpful, and, um, you know, I'm encouraging all Tribe Sisters to do this, is when you fill out this first page. Share this in the tribe if you want accountability, if you want to be reminded by your tribe sisters and encouraged. Like, okay guys, here are my goals for the month. What do you think? Or like, what are your goals? It can become a conversation and we can cheer each other on. You can take a picture of your, um, your goals and your calendar on that first day and share it with the tribe if you want to be held, um, accountable for that. And then, so that's like your whole month overview. And then page 2 is your weekly planner. Okay, you can jot down when you're going to watch my live video. You can jot down when you're going to actually sit down and paint. And again, maybe that's over a couple different sessions. What your priorities are this week, what's on your to-do list. You can use this— I would recommend what I typically do is every Sunday I set out my weekly planner and I look at all of my life stuff, right? Add all my life stuff in there, and then I add in when I'm going to fit my creativity in around that. So that's what the weekly planner is for. And then this is just something fun that I wanted to add in because I think it's helpful for a lot of reasons. One, um, a lot of Tribe Sisters have like a notebook that they keep their stuff in, so I would recommend doing that with these it's almost going to become like a journal for you. Or maybe you want to tape it in on a page in your mixed media pad. But you can write down— let's say you want to do the Van Gogh Starry Night that I, that I taught last year. So you write Starry Night up here, you go look at your color list, you see what colors you already have and what you need to buy, jot those down. And then the time log and the notes section is for when you actually start And I think this is mostly helpful for those of you who may want to sell your work and you're like, well, how many hours did I put into that? You can come in here and jot down your sessions, time in, time out, total time. This is super helpful. We had some questions earlier about how do I know how to price my work? Well, there's a lot of variables that you want to think about, but one of those is how much time did you put into it? and you need to know how much time you put into it. So this is a way for you to log that, um, so that you can say, okay, well, that painting took me 15 hours, and then you decide, okay, well, what is my time worth, right? So that's just a— those are quick little tips that I'm giving you on pricing, um, but this is an important part of it and one of the variables that you need. And then notes— this is where, like, if you're watching the video, and you're painting along. But maybe I said something, or maybe I taught a certain brushstroke or technique, and you're like, oh, that was really good. Pause. I need to write that down in my notes. And maybe even like, you're like, okay, this lesson's really good for focusing on not overblending, right? Like that. You can put your notes there. And then the last page, and again, what I would recommend is you print multiple of these off per month, depending on how many paintings you're doing, or whatever. And obviously 4 of the weekly planners. But the last page is something that I really wanted to add in because I think we need to remember to be reflective and like think about our growth and think about what we're learning. And remember, because we're focusing on progress, not perfection, so we need to focus on our progress. Let's talk about how we've grown. So this last page is, what did I learn? What did I learn in this painting? It could be technique-wise. It could be maybe I said something about mindset during that, and you're like, okay, that's clicking with me. I need to write that down. What were your biggest wins? What areas do I need to improve on? This is important right here, the areas to improve. We all have them, number one, because, right, no one's perfect. So we all have areas to improve in. Let's say you did this painting and you really struggled with the brush strokes. Okay, that's your area to improve. I need to go back back to the basics. I need to like practice my brush strokes more, maybe do another painting in a similar style to this to see Christie do it on a different painting. The more I do of what I'm struggling with most, the better I'm going to get at it, right? So write down your areas to improve. When you write those down, it's going to guide you to your next step, and you're going to say, okay, now found my areas to improve on, what's going to be my next step to do that. Write those down there. And then you have your next month's goals. So see how this just helps keep you moving forward, keeping you on a path for success, keep you like continually learning. So it's all about consistency. It's not about having, you know, 100 hours to be able to commit to this. However many hours you have, it's consistently showing up for yourself and showing up for painting. That is going to continue to help you reach your goals. So, um, I would love to hear in the comments what you guys think about the planner, if you think that will be helpful for you when coming in. I think it is super helpful, and I personally use planners for my life, or I would never know what I'm doing. You can clearly tell that when I'm like talking about next week, and I'm like, I don't know what day I'm teaching that next week, but it's in my calendar, and that's what I go off On Sunday, I'll know what I'm doing for the rest of the week. Carolyn said Facebook is deleting videos. Yeah, that's actually why we don't post videos in Facebook anymore, because they delete them. So we do everything through StreamYard, which is how I host all of my live videos, and then we don't have to worry about Facebook doing anything to them. Lori said, I love the planner for the notes section. I know it's so helpful, and I would also say to current Tribe Sisters. It is really helpful for you to share yours, if you don't mind, for you to share this page. This is huge for us to be able to share that together. And again, it's all about accountability and doing it together. It's so helpful. And then it's also going to help other Tribe Sisters when they're like, I don't know what to put in that section, you know? Like, you ever feel like that in school and you're like, what'd you put? Okay, yeah, that's right, I want to work on that too. Like, but we're like that by nature. We want to know what other people are doing. Um, so this is a great share post. This is a great thing to share. And maybe I'll talk to Megan about that. I think maybe we need to, uh, make a post about that inside the group to get everyone on board with it and really utilizing it and remembering it's there. Um, Tricia said, I think the planner will help. Life is so hectic. I get it, girl. Claudia said, this is so helpful. So yeah, I'm glad, I'm glad it's helpful for you. Pauline said, everything is so well organized and organized to make our creating so easy to adapt to, and the planner is super helpful. Very good. Yes, I think so too. Don't be scared, Carolyn. There, here's— okay, Carolyn said, I'm scared, but I can't wait to try. There's nothing to be scared of, right? Carolyn, if you missed my mindset session earlier this week, I think it was on day 2, where we really talk about that. But what's the worst that can happen, right? Like, that's how we have to start thinking about things. Fear is a liar, number one, right? And when you really think about, like, what that thing is that's scaring you, and then you think about, like, what's the worst that can happen, you realize, like, okay, I guess it's really not that bad. Like we give fear way more control in our lives than it deserves, and we have to trust. But I would say jump in, trust me, trust your fellow Tribe sisters to help guide you along. I mean, it's all going to be good. There's nothing to be scared of. There's just things to be super excited about. Amy said that planner is a wonderful idea. Yeah, I, I love it, and I think it's helped so many people since we brought it into Tribe. Um, so I think we just need to remember to talk about it, um, every single month because it is so, so much, so much more helpful to just kind of be guided along with that. Okay, are you guys ready to peek into the vault? I am going to jump over to that page. Let me get this off the screen. Okay, front page. Okay, so this is our website. Um, this is where we store your library, your vault. All of those things are not on Facebook. They are here on our own independent website. You can get to it by logging in, and we even made that simple. You just type in tribesister.com and it takes you exactly to the login. So I would bookmark that page and I would save your username and login so that you don't have to remember it every time you come back. Your computer can make it easier for you. Save all of that, bookmark it, save your login and password, and then every time you go to tribesister.com, it's going to take you right here. Okay, so this is inside the vault. I'm going to pull this over so I can still see your comments while I'm talking to you. So I'm going to go back here. Real quick. This is what it will look like when you log in, okay? So, um, I'm just going to give you an overview because we have big bonuses that you're getting today, okay? So don't forget, tonight's last night to get those bonuses. They end at midnight tonight when you sign up. And, um, this is how you will find them in your artist library. So when you log in, it's going to take you to your library The Tribe Sister Vault is at the very top, so you would click Start Painting to go into the vault. But underneath that is other workshops. This— everyone's library is going to look unique to them, right? So whatever you have purchased with me, um, whatever bonuses you've gotten, everyone's is going to be independent to what you, what you did. But this is how it is laid out. Each one of these— Jar Full of Sunshine, the Jump Into Um, Jump Start into Acrylics, Mastering the Color Wheel— these 3 things right here are all included when you become a Tribe Sister. So if you're— for those of you who are beginners and you're like, this is scary, I don't know, I don't know if I should be doing this— number 1, yes, you should be. Best place to start is in a group where we can do it all together and you're not alone. But these are the, like, fundamental essential classes that if you don't want to just jump into more step-by-step tutorials, this is where I'm really talking to you about like just learning painting. Um, Jump Start into Acrylics is all the things. Mastering the Color Wheel, obviously specific about color and understanding how color works, understanding the color wheel, understanding how to mix colors and make tints, all that fun stuff. I love the color wheel. And then our 4-day Basics in Acrylic Series. So these all three of these. If you haven't— and I'm saying this to even current Tribe Sisters— if you haven't done all three of these, I highly encourage you to go through all of them because these are some fundamentals that are going to make— when you come to full lessons with me, it's going to make everything so much easier because you've already got these basics down. Okay, and so then someone was asking that about the hummingbird. So that's where this would be, like, separately. You can see, like, this is the Spring Blossoms, was the March Painting of the Month Club. So those are all separate in your library, but because you are a Tribe Sister, those paintings are also in the Vault. So the Vault is where all the good things are. Um, you're gonna have a little welcome to our tribe video over here, and then you have our welcome guide. This is what I wanted to show you as well. Um, the link to my paint set with DecoArt. So if you don't have my paint colors, these paint colors are what I use in almost every single painting in Tribe, unless I use like the heavy-bodied acrylic. But as far as craft acrylics, these are my go-to colors, and you can buy that set from DecoArt. Sorry. Um, and then it has my link to the Amazon store as well. Those are just some of my favorites from Amazon. And then if you want supplies directly from me, we have 2 starter kits here. I can click over to this. So we have the I Want It All, which is my signature brush set, my palette knife set, your mixed media pad, your tearaway palette, your paint pens, an apron. It's literally everything that you need all in one kit at a crazy good price. So that's the I Want It All Supply Kit. Or we have the Basics, which is my 3-piece brush set, the plastic palette knives, and then some of those other things. But you can also buy these individually. So if you go to shopsozialeasel.com— is that showing you? Okay, just want to make sure. All of these are available individually too. So you can do kits or you can do individual purchases on those items. So all of that, again, all of this is linked inside of your Vault. Okay, then we have our Start Here section, um, beginner technique videos, the Jump Start into Acrylics that I recommended. And this will be up here is where we, we will be adding the Paint Week, so you can expect to see those lessons added up here as well. And then we go into the actual vault. We have it— I'm going to pull this over— we have it, um, separated in column form if you want to do it this way, or you can come over on the main page and scroll down. So this lists everything out. You can see all the different, um, categories that we have. Studio technique sessions, devotionals, technique videos. You can click by style if you want to do it that way. So all of that is there for you. And then if you want to go back to your library, you would click that. But I'm going to X out of that and show you this way. This is where we— why we call it like Netflix for painting, because just like on Netflix, you can just start scrolling through and figure out what you feel like painting today, right? So we've got animals, we've got coastal, floral. Um, you can always count on me doing lots of floral paintings because I love doing them. Um, all of these are included. Like, you can just keep going through here. Okay, so I'm just doing it quickly just to kind of give you an overview. Landscape, same thing. I love landscapes. We have all different styles. Again, I don't teach in just one way, so there's going to be a variety of choices for you. And then we also break it down by season— spring, summer, fall, winter, Christmas— um, and then the religious, spiritual, or inspirational. And then you get down to your studio technique sessions and all of the critiques and all of that good stuff. So that kind of gives you, um, an overview of how the Vault is set up, how it's organized. And then the other thing I want to show you back up at the top is this handy-dandy little, um, magnifying glass. And so if we type in ocean, if you're feeling like you need to go to the beach This is going to pull up all these different ocean-related tutorials, so you see all the different options that you have. And then let's go inside, let's click this, go to movie. Um, so we're going to go to the Impasto Caribbean Beach. I taught this last Summer. So I want to share this because I want you to see like what it, what it's like on the inside. So you'll come in here, this is obviously the full video. So if I click play, you can see it's going to be an overview just like I taught all week with you guys. And then you have this bar across the bottom. So as you're going, let's say you're right here and this is where you have to stop your session. Just hit pause. It'll stay there. You can come back and pick it up. You missed something I said, drag it back a little, it's going to go back. So you can rewind, stop, pause. You can turn closed captioning on if you need it. You can even change the speed. Not— now all my tribes are like, we don't need to go any faster. Then you go. But if you needed to, you could even slow me down. I might sound a little funny, but you could slow the video down. So this is how this looks. You can make it full screen. If you need it bigger, and then obviously get back out of it. As far as— this is not going to include a template for this one. We have your color list below. It tells you what size, um, panel I painted that on, so you can download that. That's just a photo of it, but if you need to download it, you'll come up here and you can download the reference photo. So if you are one of those people, you want to have the reference photo next to you, you can print that off, keep it next to you while you're painting, and then you can print off your color list. All of the color lists always come with color swatches on the sides of them. So again, we have women from all over the world inside of our group, and so not everyone can buy DecoArt, not everyone can buy Artist Loft or Master's Touch, or the brands are different everywhere. So what I'm saying is we include the color list because you can either look at this digitally on your phone and you can find wherever you do buy supplies, you can find similar colors. Or you could take this in with— if you don't want to print off on paper, take your phone with you to the art supply store, craft store, wherever you're getting it, and you can literally just hold paint bottles up next to the color swatches and you'll get something similar. But I do want to say, one of the things you will learn, and I know my tribe sisters can attest to this too, is in the beginning it feels like you have to have like all the exact exact colors I have and all that stuff. You really don't. If you have something similar, your painting's still going to turn out perfect. So I'm saying that to say, don't get hung up on details. Don't let small details or not having the right brand or right color or those types of things stop you from jumping in and getting started. Use what you have. You'll learn along the way that you can probably mix a color that you didn't realize you could mix instead of buying every single color out there. Um, although it is just fun to have a lot of paint colors. I know that's because we're creatives and we just like that. Um, so I wanted to share that with you, how the videos are set up, how you access them. Um, you can also, if you have a smart TV— I'm not going to go through the steps of doing that because it's actually on your phone, not in here— but you can cast these to your TV. So I know a lot of Tribe Sisters will throw me up on their TV and their husband just has to sit there and paint along. He didn't paint, but, um, hang out while they're painting. So multiple ways for you to watch. You can watch it on your iPad, your computer. Um, I don't recommend phone. If that's the only thing you have, that's okay, but it definitely is going to be a very small screen. So I would recommend either iPad, computer, or casting it to your television so it's easier for you. Okay, then let me jump back here. If you click on the Tribe Sister logo back here, it'll just take you right back to the home page again. Um, so the next thing I wanted to share with you guys— first of all, let me know, was this helpful? Is it good for you to see behind the scenes? Do you have any questions about the vault before I move on to the welcome guide? Um, so Margaret, I'm not going to read the entire thing, but I see your, um, comment here about time, and I think it comes down— I don't know if you came in later after I already talked about the planner. But here's the thing, like, I know you guys have a lot going on in life, and I totally get it, um, but we're always going to have a lot of things going on in our lives. And if it's kind of like you hear this conversation of like new parents, and it's like, it's not the right time to have kids— like, we all know that. I mean, most of us here today are moms. Like, is there really ever the right time for a kid, right? Like, you figure out how to fit it into your life. So I would never say, like, I would hate for you to miss out on the opportunity of what TRIBE has to offer in its entirety, in the community and everything. It's not about just taking one more class. I don't think you need to finish your past classes before you do this. If we kind of live in that mindset, things will always just get pushed off and we'll never experience new things because we're telling ourselves, well, you didn't do this over here first, you have to go do that before you do this. And maybe this will help you even complete those classes that you already purchased. You're going to have that continued support. You're going to have the planner to help you fit it in when you can. And that may only be a couple hours a week here or there during super busy times in our lives. So it's really about deciding what is tribe to you, right? Like we've kind of talked about it, like, do you want to be a part of it just because of painting, or do you want to be a part of it for the Community or a combination of both. I mean, we're here to support you no matter what that journey looks like for you. But I would say us waiting for the exact right time to join, I don't think there's ever really just an exact right time. I think we decide. It's a choice you have to make of whether you want to carve out that time for that. So let's go on to the planner next. I think I may have to share a different screen here. Not the planner. We already did the planner. That wasn't what I was gonna say. The welcome, the welcome guide. That's what I meant to say. I thought I— hold on. Okay, there we go. Okay, good. I'm glad that was helpful to be able to see that. Hey, Tricia. Yes, there's a replay. You'll just go back to the hub page to watch this. Um, what's going on with my computer? Um, Diane said, if you're a tribe member now but were not when you purchased a class and didn't get to do it, will it be in the vault now? So anything that you— Diane, anything you've ever purchased from the Social Easel is in your library. So the vault is just Tribe Sisters specific paintings, and then I add in like like we're gonna add in Paint Weekend to the Vault, but like any workshops that you may have done with me, like Among the Wildflowers or the Go to the Pumpkin Patch, anything like that, those are all in your library and you just log in to access those. So this is your welcome guide. I really, really encourage you when you sign up and become a Tribe Sister that this is the first thing that you go to, because what I don't want is for you to come in and be overwhelmed. Because there are a lot of things to look at, right? But that's why we're here. We provide you with guides, we provide you a path to follow. So this is the beginning of that path, okay? So this is your welcome guide. I'm not going to read through everything with you, but kind of just what I talked about, like avoid the overwhelm, trusting the process, a little bit about mindset here. But this is gonna give you kind of like a checklist Okay, so all the things that you want to do when you become a Tribe Sister. Number 1 is joining the Tribe Sister Facebook group so you can be a part of the community. Once you're in that group, going to the Getting Started Guide and Guide Number 1 that I showed when I walked through that, the welcome video and walkthrough. We'll, we'll be doing a new one next Tuesday that you guys will all be able to be a part of. And then it's just, uh, telling you like how to pin this to, uh, like your favorites in Facebook and add yourself as going to the events. And then you'll get online reminders about like when I'm gonna go live to teach a lesson. Um, telling you where tribesister.com— this is where you access the vault. Okay, so that's super easy to remember. Um, I bought that URL and had it redirect so it makes it easy for everyone, um, to get to the vault. And just remembering some of our standards. Okay, so I've talked about this all week, and, um, but I'm very like, I'm all about joy and happiness, but I'm also like very strict and like mama bear when it comes to my group. So we have standards, and there's things I do allow and don't allow, and this is where this comes in. And this is nothing like anyone needs to be concerned about unless you're a really mean and nasty and negative person. Then you would be like, oh, this group is not for me because I like to go in and start drama and cause problems. You're right, this group is not for you, and you will swiftly be removed if you are that type of person. Um, but this is just kind of setting our standards, uh, that we are about positive vibes, that there is no need or room in this group for negative comments or demeanor. It is not a self-promoting group. You do not plan on joining this group. So if you think, oh, how cool, I have a business that I want to start and I'm going to join this group and try to sell to everyone inside the group— wrong. Not happening here. Um, it includes what you have permission to do with my paintings, what you don't have permission to do with my paintings. Um, so again, just some general rules of thumb there. Um, this is a quick reference just for you to remember everything that's included in Tribe. The community, the painting lessons, the devotional, the vault. Um, again, we talk about painting rights, critiques, contests, and bonuses. Um, where do you find me? I always laugh when I see people say, I found you, and I'm like, I was in the same spot that I'm in every single time. So it's not a surprise. I don't pop up in random places. Um, we will always post the live stream links inside the Facebook group. They're always going to be in the featured section. That's where you're going to get notified about that. And then Megan also emails them out to you each week. You get a Tribe Sister weekly email from us. Um, your member library is where you're going to find past Painting of the Month Club bonuses that you get. The Vault, everything I just went over with you. The Social Easel Facebook page, this is where I think some people get confused. Teresa said, are the devotionals daily? No, no, I am way too busy of a person to do a devotional every single day. They are monthly. We did them every day this week for Paint Week, but no, they are, they are monthly. But you have access to all the past ones as well. The Social Easel Facebook page. So what I was gonna say is I think a lot of people get confused here. If I'm doing something over on the Social Easel Facebook page, That's separate than Tribe. That's me just talking to everyone in the whole wide world. Tribe-specific stuff is going to happen through our live stream links and through the Vault. So they're two completely different things. Um, obviously you can still, and I want you to still follow the Social Easel. We're always doing stuff over there, sharing posts, and I share, you know, fun things, and I might pop in live here and there. Um, but it will never be for like a Tribe lesson. Okay, anything TRIBE related is only in TRIBE. And then this just kind of walks you through again where to find things, the guides, the events, the featured section, all of this kind of stuff. Your membership library, we explain the difference versus the library versus the vault. What is the difference? And then this is your fabulous team of ladies. I cannot run this, this business by myself. This is Megan up at the top. She is the one that you are going to get to know just as well as you get to know me, because it's Megan and I that lead our Tribe Sister community. And then in customer support, when you're writing in emails, you're talking to Jennifer or Robin, and they are there to help you along the way in any way, shape, or form that you need and can guide you if you're struggling and don't know where to go for something. Jennifer or Robin are going to be there to help you with that. And then we also have some lovely Tribe Sister mentors. These are our big Tribe Sisters, Lori and Brenda and April. And these ladies have been in Tribe for years, and they're just great cheerleaders. They're a great support system. They are there to help you inside the group. If you're not sure where something is, you can tag any 3 of them— Lori, Brenda or April, and they'll help point you in the right direction. Um, and they, and they work with my team. So if like there's anything, we're like, make sure to guide them here first. Like, they're the ones who are gonna know that information and know the right place to tell you to go for anything that you need. Um, so where, where do you go when you need help? Um, like I just mentioned, you can go in the Facebook group if it's ever anything. Like, we always— and I think you see that, like, we want our Facebook group to stay happy and positive about painting and creating. We don't want customer service stuff in there because no one wants to read about, I need to update my credit card. Well, the whole group doesn't need to know you need to update your credit card, right? So that's what email is for. So if you need to email in customer support for technical questions like that, customer service questions, that's, that's for email. Okay, so we want the group to stay all about painting, creating, sharing ideas, inspiration, all that fun stuff. Okay, um, and then the last page is just resources, um, some things that I like to have in my studio space, um, some of like people ask about like lights that I use and storage containers. So we just threw some of my favorite things on that last page for you. Um, so hopefully that is helpful. This guide, again, along with the, the planner, um, this is where I would recommend you get started as a new Tribe Sister, come in, go print off both of these things, make yourself— the more organized you can make it for you, and that's different for everyone, so however that looks for you, the better you're going to be able to utilize and plan. Um, and so that's why we make those things available for you. So a lot of ladies print off both things and they have like a Tribe Sister like like 3-ring binder that they keep all these things in, and they also keep their color lists in there and templates if they need them. And so again, there's lots of ways. Tribe sisters are going to be excited to share all their different ways that they organize their things inside the group. But it's kind of fun, like, think of it like— I mean, I don't know about you guys, or maybe I was just weird, like, I loved the going back to school and getting all the things, like getting, getting my planner, getting my notebooks, getting my art supplies, getting this, and like making a plan. That's how I want you to like kind of think about coming into Tribe. Like, get yourself situated, print off everything you need, and then just jump in and have fun with this. And remember that there's no specific, um, task you have to do first. We, again, we're giving you guides of like, here's how to set it up and make it more successful for you, but you get to start wherever you want. Um, and so the last thing I wanted to share with you guys— let me go back to my checklist really quick, make sure I'm not forgetting anything. Um, also, if you guys do have questions that maybe I didn't cover at this point, feel free to drop those in the comments while I'm just making sure I didn't miss anything. Okay. Marie said, I belong to Painting of the Month Club, so considering just the additional $27, thinking— Theresa said same thing. So I will tell you this, those of you that are Painting of the Month Club members, you'll talk to a lot of Tribe sisters. I know, I mean, gosh, off the top of my head, I feel like the last last several that I've spoken to all started in Painting of the Month Club, and they were kind of dipping their toe in the water, right? Like, seeing, like, I don't know if I really want to do tribes, so I'm going to start with Painting of the Month Club and test that out. And they quickly were like, okay, I'm switching over. Because yes, you're correct, for $27 a month more, you go from one painting a month, right, one lesson with me pre-recorded in your library, no interaction, no community, no contests and fun and planners and all the things. For $20 a month, or for $27 more a month, Painting of the Month Club is included. You're not losing anything, but you're getting all this additional stuff as a Tribe Sister. And again, think of like future workshops. Tribe Sisters get workshops included in their membership. Painting of the Month Club members do not. So Painting of the Month Club is a very, like, entry-level— again, just to dip your toe in the water, test it out, and see if you like painting with me. But if you really want the aspect of the community and the growth and, um, all the things that you're going to start seeing change— your confidence is going to change, you're not going to look at fear the same way, you're going to have these mindset lessons, you're going to have devotionals, um, you have the opportunity to be in Zoom paint parties if you want to— it really just opens the door to so much more for you. And when I originally created Painting of the Month Club, it was actually during the pandemic, and it was for financial reasons. People were wanting options, right? And so we have Tribe, and I called Tribe my VIP membership. It's all the things, right? And then Painting of the Month Club is like entry-level beginner. You can still paint with me, but those are your two options because I don't do workshops all year long. I don't teach on the Facebook page all year long. So these are your two options. But value-wise, if you are comparing the two, um, let me see if I have this, because it's, you know, like with all things, it's kind of easier when we have a side-by-side comparison, which I did at one point. Thought I had it in a handy place, and now I'm not seeing it. Give me just a Second. Well, this would be the best thing I can pull up for you just to— let me get back up here. Okay, so this is going to just give you a visual breakdown of what you get inside of Tribe. So again, Painting of the Month, it's not even open right now, just for anyone who's going to ask. It's not open yet for, um, this month. But in Painting of the Month Club, you get one painting pre-recorded in your library. Um, in Tribe, you get immediate access to over 200 paintings, all in your Tribe Sister Vault. You get 2 new paintings taught live with me each and every month. You get monthly devotionals with me as well as access to past devotionals. You get technique videos, um, that you can go through. Kind of walked through those earlier, but if you are brand new to painting, we have loads of technique videos that you have access to as a Tribe Sister. So you can start there. Um, you have our private Facebook community. Um, you have permission to use these these tutorials for in-person paint parties to make extra money. You also have the rights to sell your original pieces that you create. So not all painting memberships allow that, and I will say the, the rights that I give you guys with my designs is unlike a lot of places. You do have permission to teach these as paint nights. You do have permission to sell any of the work that you create within TRIBE. You can sell it in person, you can sell it online. The only stipulation I have over rights to my paintings and my designs is that you are not allowed to teach them or steps of them in any way, shape, or form online. But, um, that's a huge one for those of you who may end up wanting to make money, um, with the art someday. Um, you also get, um, you know, I have a lot of Painting of the Month Club members ask, oh, well, do we get continued access? Do we get this? Do we get that? That's what makes Tribe different. Tribe gets those special VIP sister discounts. They get bonuses throughout the year, like workshops and bonus tutorials when we open doors to Tribe. And then they get everything else that is included in Painting of the Month Club. So, um, yeah, let me know if that helped answer your questions as far as like the difference between the two. Um, Lori said, are renewals good for monthly? Yeah, Lori, so whatever day— so today is the 9th. If you become a Tribe Sister today, that $47 will come out on June 9th, July 9th, and so on and so on. Um, the yearly is also the same thing. So if you signed up on May 9th this year, it will renew on May 9th the following year, but we send you messages for 2 months prior to your renewal. So you have the option at that point when your renewal is up, you can choose to continue on for the next year and keep that big discount, or if you need to, you can switch to monthly at that time. But we give you, we give you 2 months notice. Yeah, Trisha said that's why I joined TRIBE. I think it's an excellent value for the money. It truly is. Um, so before we jump off here, um, I just wanted to share some more of the TRIBE sister stories with you because I'm kind of sad this week is coming to an end. I've loved sharing some of their stories this week so far, but there are some I hadn't even gotten a chance to share yet. Um, so I want to share those with you as well. Theresa said, are we allowed to sell prints of our art or just be written? No, you can absolutely sell print as long as it's yours, not mine. Like, as long as you're— we put watermarks on all of my artwork. But yeah, absolutely. If you, um, and you just— the one I was holding up earlier, I always turn around the wrong way. Let's say you paint this and you want to make this into art prints and you want to sell them in your store, sell them in a local shop. Absolutely, you can do that. My goal is not to hinder you from making money. I want you to make money with your artwork. Um, and I think you would be surprised in how many different ways you can utilize artwork in your life, whether it be for gifts, whether it be for selling. You can make prints of your work, you can make greeting cards with your work, um, and all of that is accessible to you. Um, thinking off the top of my head, like, and I'll even like share with you guys like some of like my favorite, um, companies to work through, you know. Like, I use Sticker Mule to make all my stickers because their quality is so good. You can make stickers out of your artwork. Like, you— there are So many things that you can do with it. So yes, you are allowed to do that. Um, Lori said thank you, and are we grandfathered in if the price changes? Yes ma'am, you are. So whatever rate you sign up at is the rate that you lock in as a TRIBE sister. So as long as you're a current member, even if the price of TRIBE goes up, you are locked in at the price that you signed up for. All right, you guys ready to hear some more stories. I am going to— in case you missed this, I'm gonna share this again only so that I can go grab a bottle of water and you guys are not sitting here. If you missed this morning, I'm going to share some Tribe Sisters, um, stories from this morning that are in video form, and then I'm gonna come back after I grab water and I'm going to talk to you, um, and share some other Tribe Sisters.
Hello, Dena Spindler here. So the reason that I joined TRIBE— I started out as just the Painting of the Month Club and probably was only doing that for about 2 or 3 weeks and got the opportunity to go out to the Social Easel Live out in Branson and quickly fell in love. Quickly fell in love with the group of women. Quickly fell in love with Kristi and what she's about and decided to join Tribe as soon as she opened it up. So I've been in just, you know, a few short months but have learned so much. Never would I have imagined being able to paint some of the things that I'm painting, just have a newfound love and passion from being a part of this Tribe. Not only for the paintings that we do together and the things that we learn from Kristi and from some of the guest artists, but also just the support and the love and encouragement and affirmation and all the wonderful beautiful things that we get from all the ladies here in the tribe.
I'm not gonna lie, I was a little scared because I thought, oh my gosh, I've seen what so many of these women do and it's just beautiful, and I don't know that I can do that. Even when I was picking out flowers from my garden, I was thinking about, oh, well, now these colors go together because of, you know, they're opposites on the color wheel. And so anyway, I just think it's been a great experience for me. I've gained so much confidence. I have a new hobby, and, you know, I show people and, and they're like, oh my gosh, you did that? So it's great.
Okay, so those are some of the Five Sisters stories that we had in video form that I just used as a quick, quick way to go grab some water and share those stories with you, but they're great, and I was actually going to be, uh, talk about Lori as well, because I was speaking about her earlier this morning and sharing, um, this picture that I'm getting ready to show you, um, and her growth and how much she truly has grown since she became a tribe sister. And it's so exciting for me to see and then to be able to share with you guys. So let me get this pulled up here. Again, just checking my view. Okay. Yes, you are welcome, Glenda. I want you guys to make some moolah, make it easier on you, earn a little extra cash every month. It's all good things. So, um, our first tribe sister is Miss Rhonda, and she said, you don't just improve your painting skills, you also make friends. I joined Kristi's tribe after moving to Wisconsin when I missed all my painting buddies and saw a tutorial online. I had been a member for many years, and the reason— or I'm sorry, I have been a member for many years, and the reason for all of that is the positivity from Kristi's team and the Tribe Sisters. You don't just improve your painting skills, you also make friends. I met so many of them for the first time at the spring retreat. It was so nice to meet them in person after chatting with them on Zoom. And yes, um, Rhonda got to come here for our last team retreat, and we had such a great 2 days together. So that is just, you know, another perk and another possibility is getting to join us live and in person. Um, this is Sue, and she said, having access to the vault has been very therapeutic for me. In spring of 2024, I lost my 23-year-old son. I no longer had any interest— sorry, grandson. I no longer had any interest in painting, but in late summer, I realized I needed to do something to immerse myself in to other than grief, so I decided to join Tribe. I'm so thankful that I did. Having access to the Vault has been very therapeutic for me. I enjoy the morning devotionals, and I enjoy being a part of a community of like-minded women. And, you know, Sue is definitely not alone in this at all. We have had so many women, um, through the years who have had grief and loss in their life, and having this group has, has been their anchor. It has been a place to pull them out of, you know, those darker times. And it just speaks to the power of art, and it speaks to the power of community and what it can do for you. This is Barbara. She said, being a member of TRIBE, for me, the past 2 years unleashed in me something I didn't even know existed. I found a whole new side of myself. That just makes me so happy whenever I read things like this. She said, I am a writer by trade, one who has always appreciated art. However, I never even tried to paint or draw. Being a member of TRIBE for the past 2 years unleashed in me something I didn't even know existed. The lessons and the one-on-one support from this incredible community is what keeps me here day after day. I have encouraged others to join. Now I wonder what else I can do. I love that. Love having you in here, Barbara. And I was speaking about Cassie, um, earlier today in my morning mindset. So this is our tribe sister Cassie. She said, the best thing about tribe is all the respect and the love that lives in this group. It's so special to feel, um, all the support and read all the uplifting comments from tribe sisters. I love seeing everyone's different strengths and creativity in our paintings. Christy has created a very special corner for all of us. Forever grateful. And, um, Cassie has spoken to me personally and, and, excuse me, shared in another interview with me, um, how this for her was also very healing after a lot of trauma in her life. And, um, it happened to be the time that she first came into TRIBE and found, um, how healing art could be for her. And she is one that, like, I always love seeing what Cassie comes up with. I mean, look at this beautiful painting. And, and I want you to see, like, when you look at her, like, when I think of her, I think of, like, hope, like renewed hope, and what beautiful things can come out of hard places, right? She always makes the most beautiful artwork. And not only that, but she's done it through healing, through using it as therapy. And I think that it's just so powerful, and I love Love seeing, um, seeing her continued work in here. Uh, this is Liette, and she said, Tribe is the best money I've spent on myself. This creative outlet has enriched my life so much and given me a confidence I had not had. I never knew I could paint because I can't draw anything. Now I want to learn more about how to hold a small class to share my excitement and passion and faith with other women. TRIBE is the best money I have spent on myself, and I would encourage anyone to join. Cut out a few things— coffee, sodas, etc. It's worth it. This is our TRIBE sister Christine. She said, it's a blessing to be able to go through these lessons on your own, on your own time, in your safe space, and at your own pace. I love that. She said, I'm grateful for the kindness and inspiring people I've met here in TRIBE. It's such a gift in this world to find, um, people to have in our lives. Uh, Zoom, Zoom paint parties and actually seeing people from all over the country and overseas connecting and sharing ideas is so fun and therapy in itself. To have a more positive and encouraging place with like-minded artists and faith-filled believers and dreamers is a true gift. I love that. And I think the other thing that I think is so cool about our community is because we are a global community, we have thousands of members spread out all over this world. And what I have found in the years of leading Tribe is that as women, it doesn't matter where we live, it doesn't matter what country you're from, what language you speak, we all have the same feelings, we all go through the same things, we have the same doubts, fears, all of that. But when we come together in a safe place, it's amazing what happens when we come together as a community and, and to be able to connect even though we are all over the world. Hey, Sherry, if you're— I'm not sure what link you're dropping in here, but I can't access that through these livestream comments. If you are struggling with trying to do something, if you'll email support I'm gonna throw that up in case you don't have our email. That's not something that I can help you with while I'm on, um, a live stream. So just email christie@thesocialeasel.com. I can't tell if you're trying to log into something or if you're trying to sign up, but you most likely, you just forgot your password and that's the reason that you can't get in there. But they will, they will take care of that for you. Next up is Miss Bonnie, who also got to, um, come and meet me in person at my first, um, tribe retreat that we did last year. She said, I'm selling my work in a shop in a town. Never in a million years would I have believed I would be doing this in my retirement days and loving it so much. I love sharing my paintings in our tribe and then reading all the wonderful comments and encouragement from Tribe Sisters. There are so many lovely ladies in this group who have become friends. My greatest takeaway is the confidence I have gained in painting and in actually selling lots of my work. Never— or yeah, sorry, I read that— in a shop in a town, in various craft fairs in two states. So, so exciting, um, to see the possibilities again that are, are waiting for you. This is Miss Lori. You saw her in the video that I just shared. I just love this picture of her because she is beaming, and I'm so proud of her for getting to this point where she feels as confident as she does. It just makes me so happy, and she has become a dear friend to me as well over these last 2 years. She said, my life has changed for the better in the 2 and a half years I've been here. More confidence, more joy, faith-filled friends, a new hobby. I have such gratitude for Kristi and Tribe. We have an incredible vault of paintings from which to choose whenever the urge strikes. Tribe is truly the most positive community you could ever have the joy of, um, have the privilege of joining. This is April, and Lori is also one of our mentors in the group, so she's a Tribe big sister, and so is Miss April here. April Mallett said, I'm selling my work in a shop in town. Um, never in a— wait, that's not— that's the same thing Bonnie said. That got copied over. So I'm going to read from her actual post. April said, I joined Tribe because I was drawn to Christy's style of painting. At the time, I was searching for— well, searching for myself and my style. I thought I had no style at all that really defined me. All my years of painting, I painted what someone told me to paint. I never sought out my own style. I painted because my mom was a crafter and a painter. Anyone could look at her work and know who painted it. She was great at it. I felt lost and I had no direction, and I was scrolling Facebook one day and came across a post that was drawn to because of the style of art. The Social Easel sparked my interest. I paid for a few classes before joining Painting of the Month Club. I didn't last long there because I had to see what else this lady had up her sleeve. LOL. Oh, and she had, uh, she had a nice voice that didn't annoy me when she taught. Thank you, thank you, April. I'm glad it doesn't annoy. Tribe has definitely helped me grow as an artist. I am doing things I never thought I would be doing— painting flowers, painting with a palette knife, learning different techniques or using different textures to paint with. I enjoy talking with the ladies in Tribe and watching them grow and create their own art. Each of us cheer the others on as they create and work towards their style. The Tribe is a wonderful place to grow with confidence in yourself. I love that. That was so, so well written. Um, let me see here. Okay, and then our last one is from Dina. And she said, what I love about being in Tribe is the close community. The current— the encouragement from everyone is just the best. She says, oh man, what a treat. Let's see, I joined Kristi's Tribe because I just wanted to learn a few things about painting. It was so much better and more than I expected. Tips, lessons, encouragement, devotions, and the confidence to keep at it. Even though I'm nowhere near Kristi physically, I feel like we're close friends. I tell all my friends about my quotation mark art teacher. I've grown as an artist in that I try new things. I love the palette knife and just actually started to create my own artwork, just a couple things, but it's a start. What I love about being in Tribe is the close community. Sometimes life gets busy and I hop off with my interactions, and I'm never judged for it. But it's even— but it's even more than art. Sometimes we have real needs that are shared. We carry each other's burdens in prayer. We lift each other up. There's no group like it. As long as the Lord allows, I'm going to stay in Tribe. So those are, um, those are some of our Tribe sister stories. And, um, I hope that like hearing those is inspiring to you as it is to me and just gives you a hope of what's possible when, when you say yes and when you take that chance to jump in. And, um, you know, I just— if you're— if you've been waiting for the perfect time, I'm gonna tell you, like, this is it, right? You know, I don't believe in any perfect time, but I believe in taking chances. I believe in stepping out of your comfort zone. I believe in doing things that you're not already doing to see the change that you want to see. Um, and it's not just because everything is calm and perfect right now, but it's because you're ready for something more. Like, you have, you have that urge inside of you. You're wanting to be a part of this, whether it be to be a better painter, whether it be to be a part of this community. But it's going to allow you to breathe again, take that deep breath, create again, find that place for peace and play in your life that maybe you have forgotten, or maybe life has kind of stripped away because life gets so busy. So, um, this is just— this is your, your invitation from me to jump in and join us. And we want to welcome you as a sister and can't wait to have you in there. And, um, I look forward to having you join us. So thank you so much for hanging out with me this week. I am now jumping off here and transitioning to Mommy mode and family mode for the weekend. I hope everyone has a blessed Mother's Day weekend. And, um, you know, this is a great gift to ask for for Mother's Day. If your family maybe didn't get you everything you wanted for Mother's Day, you can say, hey, I really want to be a part of this amazing tribe community. How about you get me that for Mother's Day? So it's a great time to ask for it. Um, Marie said And do I need to do anything else since I'm in Painting of the Month Club? You shouldn't need to, Marie. Um, it— when you join Tribe, it should automatically cancel, um, your Painting of the Month Club membership. But if you want to, just for your sanity, you can just email in and just tell them that. Say, hey, I canceled— or I mean, I joined Painting of the Month Club. Will you just confirm that Painting of the Month Club is canceled for me? And they will do that for you. So thank you guys. Have a blessed weekend, and I will hopefully see you soon inside Tribe. Bye.
