Our Christmas Tree Paint Party is starting soon!

It's Christie with The Social Easel, and we are going live tonight because I want to show you some of the new things that we have in the store that I'm super excited about. One of them is the bracelet that I'm wearing, so remind me to tell you about that. And we're going to talk all about my upcoming Christmas party. So it starts this Sunday night, and I want to make sure you know about it because it's going to be so much fun, and we are celebrating our 10-year anniversary. We're continuing to celebrate, and this is going to be a huge Christmas tree paint party, and it's only $10 to sign up for it. So we're going to be talking all about, um, those specifics tonight. I'm going to show you, um, the projects that we are working on, um, one of which is over here behind me. So I want to talk to you all about those and show you what we are doing. So I'm just going to test this really quick. And we'll see if it's working, and then we will get going. Okay, I forgot one little, one little button. All right, so, um, yeah, let me know in the comments where you guys are watching from, and we are going to talk all about the upcoming Christmas party. So the Christmas party is a 4-day event, and it starts this Sunday night at 6 PM Central Standard Time, and we are going to be doing, um, the painting here that you see behind me. We are going to be doing an 8 by 10 version of it. This is a new one that I painted, and this was the painting that actually started the Social Easel. So, um, the very first painting I ever did, and it was the one that I tested out on my friends to see if I could teach people how to paint. And guess what? Here we are 10 years later. It worked. So this This was the original, and I love this. I was grabbing it out of storage and I looked on the back and it says first painting. So, um, the very first one to start it all. But instead of just teaching you guys this one, I also wanted to teach you a new version and kind of tweak it a little bit. And so you're also going to get to learn my new Joy to the World version. I love this tall skinny canvas because you can paint the sides of it. I love black and white stripes, so that's usually a part of my design if I can incorporate it. Um, so let me know which one do you like. Do you like the Joy to the World? Do you like the original? You can see the one behind me over here. I did some buffalo plaid on that, some leopard print. So you are going to learn all these different techniques and styles inside the Christmas Paint Party so you can make your tree uniquely yours. So you're going to learn both of those, and then we are also going to be doing them on these cute little wood ornaments. I just tied a little ribbon on the top of my string here, and I'll hold that up and show you guys. So these cute little ornaments, and the templates are included. So that's one of the number one questions that I get is, do you have to freehand this? And the answer is no, you do not. Um, so the templates are included, um, the color list, the templates, your supplies, everything that you need for this workshop is emailed to you immediately after you sign up, and it's also posted in our private Facebook group where we will be hosting the paint party. So you're going to learn how to do this cute wooden ornament, and then we are also going to do these cute little gift tags. So the gift tags, you'll notice when you get your templates, there's not one for this. So I am going to teach you how to draw it as well, or you can always shrink down one of your, um, one of the other templates that's included if you want to draw that on. Um, I'll show you what those look like. First, these are your templates, so you'll get templates and transfer paper in your kit if you choose to purchase that. They are an additional cost. The $10 is for the workshop itself, so you'll get the transfer paper and the templates in your kit. And we have 2 kits to choose from. It includes your templates and your transfer paper. It includes the signature brush set. This is a 3-piece brush set that I designed, and these are the only brushes that you'll need for the paint party. And then it includes a 5x7 print of my original. Well, we thought it was a really good idea because we loved the idea of these little gift tags so much. Of course, these are on paper, which you can totally do, and they're super easy. But we thought you might want to make gift tags that can also be somebody's ornament. And then, um, the last thing I want to show you— this is not associated with the, um, the workshop that we're doing, but Stacy was making these and I thought they were so cute, and I thought you guys would love to be able to purchase them. So I'm going to show you a couple of these different Christmas ornament kits that you can order as well. Um, so there are 5 different designs. We have the cute little elf shoes, we have the reindeer, which I love— he looks like my Christmas painting that I did— we have the Christmas tree. Oh, and not only are these gift tags slash ornaments. But look on the back of them, there is a little pocket. They're gift card holders. How cute is that? She showed me the other day and I was like, oh, we have to put those in the store. Um, so if I have teenagers right now and they love getting gift cards, but that's not always fun for moms or grandmas to wrap, so this is a cute way to give gift cards for Christmas. You can hand paint an ornament for your loved one and then put the— slide the gift card in the back. Then we have this one that says Merry and Bright with the Christmas lights. And then last but not least, we have the little Santa. How cute are those? I didn't even know they made things like this. So, um, we sell these in the store, and this is what your kit will look like. It will come blank. So you'll get these individual little pieces. This is the gift tag, and you know, they're 3D, so there's different little wood— trying to turn that so you can see— there's different little wood pieces that you put on. Then you get to put the Christmas tree on. Just a second, pull it all out of the bag. So you'll put it all together. You put your, your Christmas tree on the front, and then you put your little gift card holder on the back. And I'll show you what glue Stacy recommends for this as well. So you'll just glue it all together. The word joy also comes separate, the little star for the top of the tree. And then where did my little circle go? But there's a little circle that goes around where the string goes through as well. So that's what it'll look like painted, and this is what it will look like when it comes to you in these individual pieces. And then you guys have probably seen this before in the store. I had only seen it in the really big tubes. It's a great glue for all crafting things, but Stacy brought me this cute little bottle of it, and she said you can get— um, now I forgot whether she said a 3 or a 5. So we'll be doing an 8 by 10, um, we are doing a 4 by 12, we're doing the wood ornament that I already lost, which is about 6.5 inches, um, 6.5-inch wood ornament, and then we are doing paper gift tags, or you can do the wood version. If you want to too. And I'll teach you all these different styles of Christmas trees inside this workshop. Sorry, my ribbon is not cooperating with me. So you'll get to learn all of these in the workshop, and it's only $10. It starts Sunday night at 6 PM. Monday's class will be at 3 PM, Tuesday at 6 PM, and Wednesday at 3 PM. We've gotten 2 up so far. Sophie and I put hers together the other day, and she's doing a pink theme this year, so I'll be sure to show you pictures of her Christmas tree. And then I did my one downstairs in the basement too.
