Building Assessments in KAJABI (2017)

Hey there, it's Christina, president and founder of creatingdigitalassets.com and tonight is November 30, 2017 and today Kajabi just finished another one of their six week development cycles and we've got some new features and functionality in here. So I wanted to show you an additional capability and that is assessments. So now we have the ability to build out an assessment and associate it with one of our online courses where we can test or quiz our students and kind of get some feedback. So I am going to do a little demo. So over here on the left sidebar menu you want to go under marketing and down here to assessments. I'm already there and as you see I don't have any yet. So I'm going to do a new one. I'm going to click new assessment and I'm going to give it a title. And let's just say that I have smoothie course and this is going to be smoothie quiz and it's pre populated because I kind of was playing with this earlier so you caught me. All right, give it a description. So let's say let's test your smoothie skills. Alright, then hit save. And just like in other areas of Kajabi, the menu is over here on the left. This is the assessment editor and this is the details, which is the title and description of the assessment. And you have three options here about what you want to have happen after they're done taking the test. So you can automatically grade the assessment. So if this was like a quiz where you want to see for retention and knowledge, did they actually learn it? Did they remember you could automatically grade it. You could subscribe this individual to an email sequence so you can have them continue down an autoresponder path. Email, it's predetermined either in Kajabi or outside of Kajabi. Or you can send them a completion email with a link to their results because everybody who takes quiz wants to see how they did. Okay, so let's go back. Language is just the verbiage sort of on the buttons. So the start text and the completed text. So I'm going to leave the defaults here. Click the button below to start and you've completed the assessment. These are little text editors so you can if you want to optionally bold, use italics or underline and then there's the undo button if you make a mistake. Okay, so then here's the part where you're actually building out the assessment and adding questions. Now there's different kind of Questions that you can ask. So when you add a question, you can have it be a multiple choice question where there are multiple answers of which only one is correct. A paragraph. This is where you would ask them something where you want them to think about it or give their opinion or elaborate and write. I'm not sure what the maximum character length of this area is, but it's going to be a free body of text. Okay. And then file upload. This is going to depend on what your training course is like. You could. This could be sort of like homework or something that they could give you to get your feedback on. And it could be a document or it could be a picture if you're doing a photography type of a thing or. Yeah, a photography course. If you were training music, they could give you an MP3 file. Maybe piano lessons, guitar lessons. They could share with you a clip. It could be a video. And yeah, so I think it could be any one of those formats. And just do a file upload. And then multiple selection is where there's multiple answers. And. And they can choose 1, 2, 3, 4, all of them. Okay, so let's start by adding a question. Let's make our first question multiple choice. And this one I'm going to say, what kind of blender do you have in your kitchen? Assuming we only have one, of course we can have more than one, but let's just, just hang with me here. Okay, let's build that and let's add the first answer. Vitamix. And we go back and add another answer. Blend tech, Add another answer. Let's do neutral bullet. Okay, we save it. Did you see over here? It's starting to build it right here. Okay, so let's add another question and let's make this one a file upload. Share with me. Your best green smoothie picture. I want to see. Okay, so right down here is that one. And go back and add a question. And I'm going to make this one a multiple selection. What are some of your favorite favorite typing too fast. Greens to include in smoothies.
