Christina Haftman presents a short YouTube kitchen video showing freshly purchased mint and basil from Whole Foods (mint from a farm in Culpepper, Virginia). She describes their aroma and quality, shows an herb mincer (possibly bought at Crate & Barrel or Sur La Table), and outlines planned recipes: mint watermelon juice, a mango-pineapple salsa with mint, strawberry red grape basil lemonade, and a tomato-basil pizza made with a gluten-free crust and Daiya non-dairy cheese. She closes by saying she hopes to start her own herb garden but is busy.

Hey there, it's Christina with another kitchen video. And I'm home from Whole Foods and I got some fresh herbs that I wanted to share with you and show you. And I just wish so much that you could smell how aromatic and fragrant these are. I got some fresh mint right here. And these, this is locally grown. It came from a farm in Culpepper, Virginia.
And the bundles that it was selling it in, like this is just one bundle and I got all of this mint. Usually the little bundles are smaller, but they were like really generously sized.
So I just can't, I just can't tell you how amazing this smells.
So I've got mint and what I'm.
Going to do with this since there's so much here is I'm going to half it. I'm going to half it and do half mint watermelon juice. And then I'm going to make a.
Mango salsa with pineapple, champagne, mango and.
Red bell pepper and fresh mint. So that's what I'm thinking for mint.
And this is my dual blade.
Herb mincer.
It's like little handles and has double blade here.
And that is how I mince my fresh herbs using that little tool there. And I think I got that at Crate and Barrel, either Crate and Barrel or Sur La Table Tableau. And then I have some fresh basil here.
And depending on whether it looks good.
Or not is, you know, is my criteria whether I purchase it because they always have fresh basil and sometimes it's not as good as other times but you know, it has this roots on.
It so it's living and you know.
It wasn't picked so that's good. And for the basil, what I want.
To do.
So beautiful and fragrant.
What I'm going to do with this is I'm going to make a strawberry red grape basil lemonade. That's something I have several videos on my channel about something I make a lot. It's really refreshing and really, really good. And since there's quite a bit of it here, I think I'm going to half this as well and use the other half for a tomato basil pizza and going to use a thin crust, a gluten free crust with that Daiya non dairy cheese to keep it vegan, keep it plant based and some Roma tomatoes and roasted garlic and oregano, a little bit of olive oil and yeah, tomato basil pizza is like one of my favorite things. So yeah, we've got basil and mint.
So I love herbs.
I love everything that is fragrant and.
Green and I really want to grow.
My own herb garden, but I haven't started yet because I'm just so busy with my business and my dogs and my workout and. And, gosh, so much stuff I want to do.
I've got on my to do list, but I wanted to show you guys. And, yeah, thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you on next video.
