Christina Haftman (vlogger) describes her experience with Health IQ, a company that offers lower life-insurance premiums to health-conscious customers. She reports receiving lab results and a life-insurance quote (monthly premium $27.65) underwritten by Prudential, summarizes her favorable lab markers (cholesterol low, triglycerides very low, HDL/LDL ratio ideal, serum glucose low, HIV negative), and recounts her long-term commitment to fitness and predominantly vegetarian/vegan diet (engaged with fitness since 1986; vegan for about four years). She also gives practical hygiene advice for reducing infection risk and endorses HealthIQ for similarly healthy people.

Hey there, it's Christina. I wanted to bring your attention to a company that I've been working with for a while called Health IQ. You can check out their website@healthiq.com and it is June 2017. And I just received back my lab work and a life insurance quote. So this company, as you can see, the slogan, is celebrating the health consciousness. So if you have a healthy lifestyle, if you work out, if you eat right, if you're vegan, if you don't smoke, don't drink, or drink very minimally, you can get a lower premium on your life insurance. So that's great for yourself and your family. And they do a full comprehensive physical and lab work to validate this, to validate all that. And it's underwritten by Prudential. Let me show you. And as you can see, my monthly premium would be only $27.65. So they sent me my portfolio, my packet here to review, and I'm going to take a look at that. But I feel really blessed. I've been working out and trying to eat right all of my life, since I was in college, since 1986, actually, is when I discovered fitness and nutrition and began educating myself about these kind of things. I'm almost 50. I feel like 25. I feel like half my age. And I think, you know, cellularly, biologically, we can be half our chronological age. I have a lot of energy and no health problems. I feel really blessed. All my lab work came back, you guys, that I'm vegan. So my protein was great. My vitamin B12 levels, my thyroid, my calcium, all the things that females have to worry about were all within range. Of course my cholesterol was low. HDL LDL ratio was ideal. Triglycerides were very low. Sodium was low. Sugar glucose, serum glucose was low. HIV negative, no HIV, no STDs, very low risk. This is all about, you know, this is all about risk analysis for the insurer. And, you know, the less likely you are to die anytime soon, the lower rates you're going to get. Just, you know, just the way it is. And that doesn't mean, by the way, that doesn't mean that there's nothing traumatic that could happen or obscure that can happen. We live in a world, there's a lot of toxicity. Even though we control what we can and we make good choices, there's still a lot of things, sometimes that we don't know that are in our food, sometimes that we don't know that are in our personal care products or in our Environment which we're breathing and we can't really control whether that's secondhand smoke or vehicle emissions, different chemicals, we do the best we can. But you know, it doesn't mean you can't get cancer or some kind of infection. If you're in crowds or an international airport or inside a plane where dirty air is circulating and people are coughing and there's a lot of germs on surfaces, I highly recommend another practice that I do. I highly recommend that you use antibacterial gel or the pre moistened cloths when you go places to wipe down surfaces. I carry that along with me and that's helped too. And you know, don't touch your eyes or your mouth. You know, just make sure your hands are always clean. So do the best you can and then the rest is sort of fate and chance. So yeah, that's what I wanted to say. So if you have the same similar habits, if you're healthy, if you try to eat right, like I've been 95% vegetarian most of my life. I've never really liked meat and I've been vegan for the past I think four years. I'm not sure I transitioned in a phased approach so I don't actually know the date. But after I kind of got more involved in social media and followed a lot of different other people and had visibility to their lives and their food choices and the videos, the factory farming videos and a podcast by Colleen Patrick Goudreau really opened my eyes and, and I made that decision and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. No regrets. Unapologetically vegan. It is healthy for your body, it's kinder to your body, kinder to the animals and the entire environment that we share. It's a really conscious, compassionate choice. When you're ready. I know everybody's timing is not the same when we discover these things and our readiness. So anyway, take a look at this company and you might, it might be something that would work out for you too. HealthIQ.com Celebrating the health conscious alright, I'll talk to you in my next video. Be well. Buh, bye.
