Short first-person YouTube vlog (June 5, 2015) by Christina Haftman showing vine-on tomatoes she purchased at a grocery store. She highlights their ripe, red appearance and lycopene content, explains selection criteria (look for red color and fragrance; prefer organic when possible and always wash produce), describes meal plans (pizza; roasting with spinach, mushrooms, garlic), notes each stem held five tomatoes (two stems = 10 tomatoes) and expects them to be eaten by Sunday, mentions the farmers market the next day and other produce (zucchini, cantaloupe, basil), and promotes a plant-forward/vegan diet. The tone is enthusiastic and practical.

Hey there, it's Christina and I'm back.
From the grocery store and I am.
So excited because I found some really red, ripe, rich in lycopene vine on tomatoes.
Look how amazing these look.
The only thing that could be better.
Would be to go outside in my.
Backyard and pick these from my own garden.
They smell amazing, they're juicy, they're ripe and ready and everything. And we're going to make pizza again.
And roast them with spinach and mushrooms.
And garlic on a thin crust because.
That'S what we've been doing and we enjoy it so much.
Each of these stems has five tomatoes.
So we have a total of 10.
And I can assure you these will.
Be gone by Sunday.
With our pizza recipe.
But I just wanted to show you.
Now, this is exactly how you want to buy tomatoes. Your criteria and your benchmark for quality.
For tomatoes when you go out to the grocery store.
Because I don't even purchase tomatoes unless.
They are red and ripe and beautiful.
Because if they look good and they smell good, they're absolutely going to taste good.
Some tomatoes I've seen are white and pink and all sorts of things.
If you can get organic, do that.
As often as practical and possible. But if not the non organic ones, you can wash them.
Well, you should always wash your produce.
Before you eat it anyway.
But I think non organic vegetables are better than, you know, eating animals and.
Processed food and chemicals and all that. So do your best. Not about being perfect, but it's about.
Eating by color and including more whole.
Foods, fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet and looking for recipes that match.
Your taste preferences and.
Exploring. There's so many things on YouTube, so many recipes that actually show you the.
Steps, the how to steps that kind.
Of make it foolproof. If you're not used to cooking, you're not used to used to being in the kitchen. You don't know what to do with fruits and vegetables. Maybe you've always bought them in cans or frozen or something and you're not.
Sure what to do when they're perishable.
But it's June 5, 2015 and farmers market is tomorrow, so we're going to get some more stuff. I have a zucchini too I need to make.
I want to get a cantaloupe this weekend, but I love farmers markets.
They often have fresh herbs. Something that pairs nicely with tomatoes is fresh basil. Fresh, fragrant basil. When you get it, you should be able to smell it. If it's not fragrant at the time of purchase or the time of browsing don't buy it. Okay.
What else can I tell you? I'm just going on and on about.
Tomatoes because I'm just so impressed with how these look.
But yeah, have a high standard of.
Quality for your food because, you know.
Whatever you put in your body, you're.
Feeding your cells and your organs and your tissues and you want to be healthy. And eating a higher plant based vegan.
