Hello everyone and welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome! Come on in, we are live today. It is Wednesday, September 21st, 11/11 as well, 2022. 2. Come on in, say hello. If you're new to the show, let us know. If you're a long-time supporter, let us know as well. And I'm also streaming live right now on Instagram, so say hello. It's kind of weird having my phone here, the computer here. It's very interesting. And this is, uh, season 4 Episode 211, uh, fall equinox. Really, this is a time for change. So what, uh, what changes are you looking forward to? And hi, I'm saying hello to Pooja. Thank you so much for being here on Instagram. We're sending you lots of love. And I love fall. And you know, when people ask me what's my favorite season, it is fall. Only because I, you know, I— extreme temperatures are just not for me. Spring is fun, but fall seems to be the most— I don't know, the, the colors, the freshness, the sunrises and the sunsets are absolutely spectacular. Of course, the trees, the trees are changing, right? Just like us. And, uh, yeah, so many big changes. Pooja's saying, uh, let us know what your changes are, like what's going on. And the equinox is actually tomorrow, September 22nd, 2022. And this is the second equinox, obviously, of the calendar year. The word equinox is derived from Latin, meaning equal and night. So we are going to be falling back here in the Northern Hemisphere. So 12-hour days, 12-hour nights, um, that occur twice a year. And really, it's It's about the Earth. It's shifting directions. The sun obviously is shifting. We're getting less sun. This is a harvest time as well, and we're getting equal parts of light and dark. And, um, really September is going back to routines and taking care of ourselves. Oh wow, Pooja's got a new job in new country. That is amazing. I, I'd love to hear more about that. Let us know uh, how it goes for you. We're, we're cheering you on, okay? As well, um, you know, and, and people sometimes get confused with solstice. Well, solstice is in December, which is the darkest time of the year, which, you know, we def— us humans, I mean, we are, um, spiritual beings first and foremost, but we are on Earth, okay? This is Earth school. And we need sunlight. So if you can get outside for at least 10 minutes a day, or buy those light boxes, or whatever it is— no sunglasses as well. I've been learning a lot from Dr. Mark Hyman on his podcast about how light and artificial light interrupts our sleep. I mean, that seems to be the biggest one. So if we get outside and have that sun. Just even if it's cloudy, they, they rate the lumens. Even though it's cloudy, you are still getting the vitamin D, the sunlight that you need for your body to produce it. Because if you're lacking vitamin D, then you slip into seasonal affective disorder, into depression, anxiety goes through the roof. I mean, I've been there. I I cured my anxiety and my depression. Now, did it happen overnight? No. Does it happen sometimes? Yes. I'm not perfect. I don't ever claim to be. But what really it's, it's saying is that our body is highly intuitive. We just got to give it the right stuff, right? So it's like, it's energy. It's like everything. It's, it is everything. And today is also World Gratitude Day. World Gratitude Day. So what are you grateful for? For me, it's simple. I, I can— I mean, I have a gratitude journal. I highly recommend you have a gratitude journal. But I found this beautiful quote, um, about gratitude, and really it says gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind. It's heart coherence. I'm sure you're familiar with heart coherence as well. So, and, and it's been proven, uh, that the heart knows more. Always has, always has, right? It's everything in around us that tries to change, uh, our feeling otherwise into thinking. Yeah, there's critical thinking. Yes. You, you tend to deep dive into things and, and really think for yourself and question everything. Question everything. That's really what life is about, is questioning things and not just taking it at surface, but it's also not judging it as well and being open and curious. I feel that's, you know, really important. So share with me, whether you're live here or on the replay, what you are grateful for. I'm grateful for all of you. I've been sharing this podcast for 4 years now. Um, I am learning so much more, especially about the health. The health, health is everything. Spirituality is first, and health is in tandem with that as well. Um, so I am most grateful as well to be alive because many people did not wake up this morning or did not go to bed last night and never woke up. So if anything, that's what I'm so very grateful for. And each month we're going to feature health-related topics. So what would you like to see on future shows? Comment below, let me know on the replay, let me know on the replay. All right, so when we get into fall, this really is your invitation. And I, um, I borrowed this quote from Neale Donald Walsch: you cannot recreate yourself until you uncreate yourself. You cannot recreate yourself until you uncreate. It's the unwinding all of the trauma, the wounds, the mental garbage, the reptilian type thinking, the, you know, stuck in, um, negativity and always thinking things happen to you. Yeah, life happens. It's how you react to it. It's how you react to people. And, um, as well, uh, I think it's really important. Yeah, it, it's mental clarity. And the more that you can become clear however you do that, through grounding, through exercise, through the foods that you eat, through the information you ingest, the, the information that you take in as well, the people you surround yourself with as well. Very important. And, uh, there was a quote, um, I'm just trying to think of it as well. Oh, here we go. Um, It's, uh, you know, the, the people that kind of poop on your party. Pity party, um, stinking thinking, joy killer. That's the word, joy killer. I'm sure we've known some joy killers in our lives, right? But here's the thing, it's not the person, it's not the person, it's the thought pattern. What is the pattern of thinking? Right? We can all be killjoys. So don't ever put it on a person. Yeah, there are people that are susceptible to thinking that way all the time, um, because they're caught in a loop, they're caught in a pattern. They think it's, it's a habit. We can break habits. It takes 21 days to do that, and I have a, a free course actually, 21 Days to a New You. Um, where you each day you'll join me and you'll come out, you know, shiny and new. If anything, have your own epiphanies, aha moments, be enlightened, right? So that, that's really what this is about. And fall— what do you love about fall? What's your favorite part? Let me know. I mean, obviously the colors and I talked about that as well. So many of us were taught from the moment of our birth to live from the outside inward. Mm-mm, baby, it's inside out, job, inside out. So this fall equinox is ushering us into a chapter that asks us all to let go of what we have been taught and to live, you know, from the inside out and to find your own language and guidance, perception, and desires. So let go of who you have become, who you thought you have become. You cannot add to what is already full. Empty your hands, knowing it is only then what you may receive. So empty your mind. Become the student, the inner explorer, the pathfinder who knows each moment of life is the greatest teacher. Now, you might have teachers and, and guides and mentors Um, there's no more gurus. You are your own authority, nobody else. Sure, you can get information, work with them, but you know you can't stay the whole time because then you're not changing. It's time for something different. Uh, hi Irfan, thank you so much for joining us on Instagram Live. So really become the listener, hearing the wisdom in each meditation, Maybe it's a yoga practice, maybe it's walking, maybe it's just washing that dish, whatever it is, become the intuitive, become the seer, sensing the guidance in moments of silence. And I'm really pulling back. I love practicing yoga every morning. Every morning it's between yoga and Pilates, which I love. And I go outside every day and move my body 10,000 steps a day. Sometimes it's not always 10, but it's very close. Um, but I'm noticing in my yoga poses, I'm allowing myself to surrender to the entire sequence, not trying to— oh, I need to get into this perfect pose, and if I don't, then I— no. So I integrate poses with the breath as well as the movement. It's part of the flow. It's part of the yin and the yang. It's part of, well, qigong as well. That's your chi, right? So we get, uh, this equinox, we're witnessing each step that has gotten us to where we are now and acknowledge this exact moment. So it is on this day that we can bridge together who we have been and who we are becoming. And we're honoring parts of ourselves that we have lived, expressed, and praised, as well as the parts of ourselves we are still discovering, still getting to know, and learning to love. I think love is the biggest piece. I was listening to Joyce Meyer. I like listening to her. Um, if you're not familiar with her, she has quite the story, you know, a history of childhood sexual abuse um, by her father, I mean. And this woman is 82, I believe, and she's been teaching and preaching the word for, well, probably since she was a child. That's a long time. That's, you know, 70 years of service. And she said, I wrote a book called Love, and she said it was the worst-selling book ever. And I'm thinking, how is that possible? But she said, because people think they know what love is. Oh yeah, I know what love is. I know what that means. No, you don't until you truly love yourself. I think it's RuPaul who says, if you can't love yourself, how are you going to love somebody else? Can I get an amen? Yes, absolutely. So it is, it's about self-love and it's about service. And, and when we're in chapters of outward expression, meaning summer's all woo, you know, it can be easy to dismiss our internal light. So this is a time of releasing. I mean, the trees let go of the leaves, the colors change, finding the new groove, reorienting ourselves to the new directions that will continue to take us away from the sun into some of possibly the coldest, darkest months of the year. And it really offers us a time to renew our relationship with outer darkness and turn inward. We cannot always be striving and producing and going and going and going. Gotta stop. It's a chance to rediscover our own light that exists only within darkness. And that's why I love the moon as well. I mean, right now it's in between the full moon and the new moon, which is 4 days away, and I could— I couldn't see it. So it's in that darkness, and really there's quiet and there's a lot of richness that's found there and in the stillness. So really fall is about falling back into ourselves, really reorienting ourselves. I mean, I talked about that in our September energy update, routines and rituals and maybe, you know, changing things, changing colors. Um, I've been, I've been changing. I've been experimenting more with makeup and having a little bit more fun. I've really been, um, nerding out with, um, some podcasts and, uh, all about health. I mean, I— the last podcast I did was about Alzheimer's and dementia. Um, and I'm so nerding out on health. As you know, I did a 3-day liver detox a couple days ago— a couple days ago— a couple months ago, and I lost 8 pounds. And I'm thinking, okay, I'm vegan, how is this possible? Well, you know, nobody's perfect, and much of it was water. Much of it was water, and there was some inflammation in there. Um, and you know, this fulvic acid is amazing. It's got 70 trace minerals amino acids. These are naturally occurring vitamins and organic electrolytes, not stuff that you'd get from Gatorade or Powerade. That's full of sugar and crap, is not good for you. Um, drinking this Vitality because it's a whole body detox. Um, I'm taking my magnesium because, you know, that's going to be another show. We are so deficient in magnesium. And actually, I have just found out that we are definitely deficient in omega-3s. And cooking with oil, I mean, not good. Um, I was listening to Udo— I can't remember his last name— but he basically said, if you're good to the oil, the oil will be good to you. But if you fry the oil, you fry yourself. Inflammation, heart disease, diabetes. All of it, all of it. So very interesting. And, um, and then coffee. Coffee is a whole nother thing. Um, this is Smart Coffee. It has ashwagandha. It is naturally sourced. It has no chemicals in it. It is organic. All of the stuff here is non-GMO and organic. And if you want more information on this product, and there's essential oils, they have so many products. And they're all amazing. I haven't tried every single one. I— there's even a CBD, um, oil for pets. Where is that? Did I leave it on the counter? Oh, right here. Yeah, so it's called Hemp Herbals because I do a lot of pet sitting, or I take care of a lot of animals. And, um, whether they're, you know, they have no health issues or maybe they have anxiety but it's becoming more and more prevalent that our pets are on medication. I mean, if we're on medication, what do you think's going to happen to the pet? The pet actually takes on all of your symptoms. So if you're anxious and you have depression and you get yourself a, um, uh, a therapy pet, whatever you want to call that, therapy animal, I, I just say be very careful and be very aware of what you're doing, and are you taking care of yourself? And you— we just try to medicate ourselves right away, and the doctors are no— are no better. They have really very little education in regards to nutrition, very little. So I'll be talking about omega-3s and magnesium and coffee, because coffee has mold in it. Mold and yeast, what do you think it does to your body? I mean, I think I commented on a something on Instagram, and a lady goes, how do you know if it's mold-free? Because you— there's certain things. It's ethically sourced, it's organic. Arabica beans are typically less mold, uh, you know, uh, the cross-contamination. But coffee is the most, um, sprayed, chemical product in the world. Not good. So if you love your cup of coffee, I used to drink 4 cups myself, but I have really brought it back. I have 1 cup a day and I make it amazing with cinnamon and nutmeg and, um, my oat milk and all of that. So, all right, so let me know if you have any questions. Um, and like I said, each month we'll feature a health-related topic. So what would you like to see on future shows? What are you suffering from. And I always want to know where everyone's from, um, so please say hello, share, tag, comment, subscribe wherever you happen to watch and/or listen to this. I'm going to leave it in the comments, and if you'd like a link to that on Instagram, let me know, guys, and I will get that to you. And, uh, if you're struggling, you're feeling sluggish, um, you need a kickstart, everything starts in the liver. And if you're angry a lot, guess where that goes? To your liver, baby. Okay, so, um, I would love to help and guide you on that. And myself, I lost 8 pounds, inches, energy through the roof, slept better, had even mood, like I didn't crash anywhere in the day.
