In this short YouTube video, midlife recalibration expert Christine J. Gold outlines six archetypal "money wounds" that shape people's relationship with wealth. Each wound stems from a family or cultural narrative: (1) a Depression‑era grandmother who instilled a scarcity mindset; (2) a hard‑working father who linked worthiness to productivity; (3) a mother who survived by denying herself, creating a martyr‑shame wound; (4) family secrecy and conflict around money, fostering a fear‑based wound; (5) a lineage belief that abundance betrays class or family values; and (6) religious programming that frames wealth as spiritually corrupt. Gold invites viewers to comment "money" to receive a link to her Money Wounds Masterclass, positioning the video as both educational and promotional.

Do you have the 6 money wounds? I'm Christine J Gold. I am a midlife recalibration expert and guide. Number 1: Depression-era grandmother. Waste not, want not. We don't throw anything away, and the wound is scarcity. The scarcity mindset, scarcity as identity. Even when there is enough, it never feels like enough. 2. The father who worked himself to the bone. Money doesn't grow on trees. You have to work hard for every dollar. The wound— this is a big one— worthiness wound. Worth equals productivity. Rest feels like stealing, or I have to earn it. 3. The mother who went without. I don't need anything, just take care of the kids. Don't spend money on me. The wound, the martyr. Oh, that's a big one. Receiving feels selfish, even shameful. Number 4, the family. We, we don't talk about it. We don't talk about that. Money was tense. We whispered about it, and it was fought behind closed doors. The wound: conflict. Money equals conflict. Money equals secrecy. Danger. Safer to stay small. Number 5: We don't do that in our lineage, in our family. That's not how it works. 'People like us don't have money.' 'Rich people are greedy and horrible and corrupt and evil. Not like us.' So the wound is abundance means betraying your family, your class, and your roots. And number 6, this is probably the biggest one, the religious programming. Money is the root of all evil. It's Easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. Hmm. The wound. It's a wealth and spirituality, they cannot coexist. Choosing one betrays the other. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Let me know which one stuck out for you, or maybe there were a few. I know there were a few for me, and I'm holding a Money Wounds Masterclass and if you're interested in that, comment "money" and I will send you the link below.
