Happy Love đź’ž Yourself Everyday

In this live YouTube session, host Christine J. Gold welcomes viewers to a Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day conversation centered on self‑love, healing, and community. She opens by asking participants where they are and how they celebrate, then probes deep questions about loving oneself, the nature of love (romantic, platonic, familial, divine), and how love was modeled in their upbringing. Christine critiques commercialized Valentine’s expectations, emphasizing experiences and time over material gifts, and highlights the importance of filling one’s own “cup” before serving others. She references the origin of Galentine’s Day (Amy Poehler’s 2010 “Parks and Rec” episode) and frames love as an internal, spiritual practice rather than an external transaction. Throughout, she engages with chat participants, moderates negativity, and encourages accountability. Spiritual elements surface via tarot (Knight of Cups), upcoming astrological events (Aquarius solar eclipse, new moon, Year of the Fire Horse), and a promise of a future live on those topics. Christine also shares her personal evolution since 2017—from corporate burnout to medium, Reiki master, animal communicator, author, podcast host, oracle‑deck creator, and now focusing on a 40+‑year‑old audience and a dream of a physical retreat center. She stresses that healing is a continuous, choice‑driven journey, challenges limiting beliefs, and calls viewers to practice compassion, empathy, and self‑care. The livestream ends with a reaffirmation of each person’s worth and an invitation to future events.

Hello, hello! Happy, happy Valentine's Day! Galentine's Day! Do you celebrate at all? Do you care? Wherever you are is valid. Just let me know where you are in the world and what's going on for you. I just got off of TikTok and I was just— I'm amazed, and I know I have an amazing family here on YouTube as well, but at one point we had 300 people joining me, sharing gifts and sharing encouragement and sharing messages, and really that's what this community is all about. It's about choosing ourselves. It's about healing. It's about our journey. It's about community. It's about connection. And I'm going to ask a question, and it might be tough. It might be tough to answer. There we go. Ah, okay, I'll bring it— put there. There we go. Do you love yourself? And what does that look like for you? What does that feel like for you? How does it show up for you? What is love? Is it just purely romantic or is it platonic? Or is it both? And was that modeled to you? How was love shown in your family? Was it shown? Was it seen? Was it heard? Was it just a— it was there, but nobody talked about it? You know, the elephant in the room, I guess would be the word. I'm just curious, and I know it's the middle of the day, but it's interesting how we focused, as I talked about in the last group, how we focus on the romantic piece and buying gifts and flowers and chocolates and this and that, and it's just, it's too much. We're not, I believe we're not doing that anymore. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. I believe in experiences. I believe in gifts of experience like travel or a cup of tea, maybe a new park, maybe just a walk, the gift of time. I mean, money you can always get back, time you cannot get back. What parts of you— Hi, little Timmy, thanks for being here. What parts of you are you not fully in love with yet or accepting of yet? And like I said, it's always about the romantic piece, and if you have a partner or you're married, you have kids, I mean, that's a whole nother level of Valentine's Day, but it was turned into marketing, meaning you had to buy the flowers and the dinner and the roses, and you're spending $300, and it's like, for what? And I fell into that trap, don't get me wrong, I fell into that trap, meaning I had to have gifts, all these gifts and rings and whatever jewelry, and if you didn't, that means you didn't love me and you're a terrible boyfriend. Oh wow, not good. So, and love is not just, you know, romantic, it's platonic, but it's also in relationship with yourself, with others, and with God the Creator, with Spirit. So loving yourself is often foreign because we've been taught to look outside of ourselves, right? So, um, I'm living in Turkey and the, yeah, the economy is so bad. I I get it, I do. I mean, I'm in Canada and we claim that our economy is so bad, and that's why I feel it's important for people to travel. You go to other countries, you're going to get a real perspective about how spoiled we are in North America, how spoiled we are, and how much we don't love ourselves. And how we look on the outside. We love to play the blame game. It's somebody else's fault. It's this person, that person, the government, the politician, the religion, the science, you name it. It's my genes, my genetic makeup. It's their fault. No, it's— when we start, it's an inside job. That's where love comes from, inside. And if you've never seen it modeled growing up, it's fine. You have somewhere to start. Start with yourself. What do you love about yourself? What do you love to do for yourself? Do you enjoy your own company? I love my own company. Anybody else? Hi, Todoroku. Roki. Hopefully I'm pronouncing that right. Hello. And then I was also reminded where Galentine's Day comes from. You know, galentine, the gals, the girls, the ladies. It actually started in 2010 with Amy Poehler and Parks and Rec. Remember that show Parks and Recreation? I didn't watch it, but I was reminded the other day where it started. Because she was single and she didn't have a partner and she wasn't in love and yada yada yada. So she's like, why don't we go out with our friends and start our own tradition? So in respect to Valentine's Day, I mean, it really comes from the patron saints, whatever you want to believe in. It's not marketed as you must buy all these things in order to be in love or to be loved. No. So I think it's really important to start from somewhere, right? Even though you're not sure, you're not sure where that comes from, um, you're not even sure where to start or where to love yourself. Where does it start? Well, like I said, what do you like about yourself? What are you working on yourself? What do you love to do for yourself? What, what do you love to do for others? I mean, that's important, right? But we tend to focus too much on others. Now, there's acts of service, right? You, you're— but you have to fill your own cup first. That's what I'm saying. You cannot take from an empty cup. So fill yourself up so that you're overflowing and brimming, and it just naturally flows out to people naturally, symbiotically. And I get that a lot of people will become fawners and people pleasers and perfectionists because they haven't resolved their trauma. I get it. It's learned. It's embedded, and it can be unlearned and healed. True story. And with the people I work with as well. So it's important because wherever you go, there you are. Hi Holly Tiffany, thanks for being here. And we've got Alexandre, Alexander, Alexandre, I'm not sure how we're pronouncing this. Either way, I think I feel that we have learned so much and resolved so much and healed so much, and we're all works in progress. Healing journey never ends. Honestly, what ends is our supposed human condition of suffering. I know Buddha said it, that to be human is to suffer. It is a choice. You don't have to. So if no one's ever said that to you, or if you think that's ridiculous, that's, that's fine. You're just not in the area of resonance yet. It hasn't— it needs to transmute. So I will challenge beliefs that are rooted in negativity. So I'm actually doing a multiple live. Josh, thanks for pointing that out. There's a bunch of people I'm talking to, so thanks for pointing that out. You can leave at any time. Nobody's answered this, so do you love yourself? I would say me pre-2017 did not, did not, absolutely not. And as they say, looking for love in all the wrong places, always looking outside. And I know that there's a lot of things going on in the world, And because I'm in Canada, I, you know, I'm wanting to— and I've done this already on other socials— but, um, sending lots of love, compassion, care, healing prayers to Tumbler Ridge. Yeah, there's a difference between love and lust. Thanks, Josh. I believe we've been taught to lust and that romance is some type of fairy tale. But hey, there's always, there's always a negative person that comes out, and I will delete you, by the way, if you are negative, if you're trolling somebody, if you're just not being kind. You don't belong in this community. Because there are people in this community that are going through some stuff, going through a lot of stuff, and we're going through this together. And compassion and empathy is learned. So is hate. So is lust. So is love. Yeah, we've got a hater. Goodbye, and you're gonna be removed. See ya. And he says I don't have any hair. You're hilarious. I have probably way more hair than you do, but anyways. Has nothing to do with the hair. And that's what Josh chooses to focus on, the negative, right? Can I answer this question myself? No, I cannot. Oh well. And let me tell you, I know I have some amazing people in this community on YouTube. But I'm going to challenge YouTube because, um, I, you know, as much as we'd like to focus on TikTok, it's this, it's that, I was in a room earlier today with 300 people. So TikTok actually walks the walk and talks the talk, and they've been given a bad rap. So, and they are actively working and fixing things. So I feel that's really important. So really important to be accountable and responsible. Mm-hmm. Ooh, accountability and responsibility, what many people avoid. So But yes, I hope you have an amazing Valentine's Day. I believe the card, the energy for, uh, February was— trying to remember, was it the Knight of Cups or was it the Page of Cups? Let's see. Oh, there he is. Yeah, it was the Knight of Cups energy. And, um, you know, this is all about romance and loving yourself. And, you know, what does romance look like and feel like to you? How can you be more of a romantic? Um, and you've got the white horse, the roses. I mean, it's all symbolic as well. You've also got the solar eclipse in Aquarius, new moon coming up on the 17th. Coinciding the same day as the Year of the Fire Horse, which I'll be talking about tomorrow. So I'm, I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully you can join me live for that. Um, it's tomorrow evening at 7 PM. So if you want to learn more about the Year of the Snake that's passed and the Year of the Fire Horse that's coming up, um, I will be there for that. Looking forward to it, and I'm also looking forward to the solar eclipse because eclipses show us what's not working. And I'm in a business cohort right now, and I'm definitely being shown what doesn't work, what isn't working. So I have stripped away anything connected to the old business that I've been running. Because really the business has evolved from 2017, and it should evolve. It's almost been 10 years. I went from corporate burnout to medium to Reiki master, animal communicator, author, speaker, podcast host, oracle deck creator, to now really honing in on the 40+ segment. Now you could be like, I'm 30 and I'm going through a dark night of the soul and I want to quit my corporate job. Perfect. It's, it's just a matter of shifting through that, and I've been through it, so I know exactly. I have lived experience. But really, the ultimate goal is to have a retreat center because I've been holding retreats already for the last couple years, but I would like an actual space for that. So that's my dream, and it's been an evolution, because if you're not evolving and growing, why are you here? You're not meant to just stay the same old, same old. Nothing will change. This is just the way it is. It's— it runs in the family, all of these excuses. And really, that's what life is about, a series of excuses and choices. So what do you choose? What you're comfortable with? Yeah. Well, thanks, Moderator. Looks like talking about love and loving yourself really brings out the worst in people. Ah, fun, fun. Yeah, try all you want, but, um, you know, the more that you shine your light, darkness cannot hide. And the more that you, um, you level up— new level, new devil. Bring what you got, bring what you got, because I've been a warrior in a past life, and I am a rebel with a cause. There's the difference. There's the difference. And in a world where fear, control, and domination have been running for in the background, what, since the Dark Ages? It's no longer happening anymore. It's unraveling. We're seeing this in real time. We're seeing this in real time. I mean, I've talked about this already. All the things that are happening, especially the big stuff, is a distraction to what's really going on. So you— we must focus on ourselves, our community, compassion, empathy, love. That's the focus, not the other stuff. Yeah, I know, I'm hearing, but I need to fix it. No, you focus on yourself. That's how we fix things. That's how we heal. Starts with me and then we. I've— some of the people in my business cohort, when you talk about healing, it is a foreign concept. And the way some people talk to themselves 'Oh, I'm not good at that.' How do you know? Have you tried? Or did somebody tell you you sucked, so you're like, 'Okay, I suck, I'm not doing it.' I used to think I had a terrible voice. Now I sing all the time and I really don't care. Everybody has a voice. Everybody is able to sing. Everybody is psychic. Everybody is intuitive. Everyone is a healer. Again, choices. It's all about choices. So on this Valentine's Day, whether you celebrate it or not, do you love yourself? How do you show yourself love? And you don't need to have a religion, you don't need to be a Christian, Religion, science, and politics— there is no space for that here. There isn't, because people have been fighting for that over for thousands of years, and it has gotten us nowhere. Nowhere. And history repeats itself over and over and over again. And we are the most intelligent beings. We're sure not acting like it. Yeah, I would agree, TikTok is— I was just saying, I just got out of a session on TikTok with 300 people, and I think at the most I had maybe 10 people on here. It's very interesting, so makes me wonder. But I will be live tomorrow for the Year of the Fire Horse. And talking more about that energy. So if you want to join me, I'd love to see you there. If you don't, doesn't matter either way. I hope you have an amazing day. Go take care of yourself. Go love yourself. Go love on somebody else and tell them that they matter. You matter. You're worthy and you're here for a reason. Take care.
