This is a YouTube video titled "My new journey" (published 2023-10-29) consisting of a solo monologue from the host of The Power of Healing Your Energy show, recorded at Vancouver International Airport. The speaker (single participant) discusses personal decisions to simplify life—selling a car, exploring intentional communities, boycotting Black Friday—and describes traveling to Lima, Peru (with a layover in Mexico City) inspired by Machu Picchu. The piece mixes travel narration with spiritual themes (healing, Dark Night of the Soul, life purpose), invites audience feedback and requests, and mentions COVID travel protocols and the speaker’s role as a formerly single mother of two adult sons.

Hello and welcome to The Power of Healing Your Energy show, coming to you today at the Vancouver International Airport. Yes, there was no live show this week just because I had a lot of things going on. And maybe you're new, thank you so much for being here. Maybe you've been with me for a while, I'd love to get some feedback on what you think of the show, any topics you'd like me to discuss, and maybe you have some questions for me or about spirituality or your Dark Night of the Soul, your journey, whatever it happens to be, your healer healing journey. Maybe you're a healer, lightworker. I would love to hear it all. Now, why am I at the airport? Well, about 2 months ago I started looking at intentional communities and I have come to realize that the North American lifestyle just does not align with who I am anymore. Meaning, I mean, I'm recording this today on Black Friday and I actually posted something on my page about Buy Nothing Day. So, you know, I'm completely boycotting Black Friday, anything to do with it. We don't need any more stuff. I mean, I get it. I'm recording on my cell phone. I have a laptop, you know. But it took me almost 2 years to get rid of everything I own. I sold my car this morning. That was very difficult to do. But It was something that was necessary, and I just, I had to let it go. I mean, I had my car for 10 years, I get it. It's just really showing us and myself and how attached we get to things, inanimate objects that really don't mean anything. As I'm wearing a mask recording this, I mean, really what matters is life. And are we living fully and to the fullest? And I knew that I was not. So as I wait to board Aeromexico, I have a little bit of a layover in Mexico City. I've never been. I have been to Mexico once, but that was at a resort. Big difference between being in a resort and a gated resort for 10 days of all-inclusive luxury, I guess you'd say, to being in an airport for 8 hours waiting for your next flight to Lima, Lima, Peru. Now, a little backstory on Lima. I remember coming across a documentary on YouTube It was about Machu Picchu, and when I saw Machu Picchu, I, I was, I was so blown away by the beauty. Like, I've been there before. I so wanted to go there. It just took my breath away, every aspect of it. I just soaked it in, and here I am 2 years later. Making what I thought was out of reach impossible to something that I'm doing. Not only that, I ran into, well, just someone in line, and I told him what I was doing, and he was like, "Oh my goodness, I so want to go there." I actually ran into quite a few people that have always wanted to go to Lima. Or to Peru, period. But they're like, I'm gonna be living vicariously through you because you're actually doing it. And I'm at a time in my life where I can. My— both my boys are grown up, 29, 23. I was a single mom for most of their lives, and I put everybody first. Except myself. So this time I'm doing it for myself and maybe for you, or who knows. I don't know who I will inspire, but really I'm here to inspire myself and to really find out why I'm here. I know I talk about life purpose a lot and and purpose and soul's purpose. And we're all here, we're all meant to do something in this world. It doesn't always have to be big and grand. But I've always wanted to travel and I have. I've traveled across Canada, but now I'm going to see the world and I can travel across South America. I have friends You know, in Mexico as well, but I even have friends in Europe, so who knows where this will go. All I know is I'm very, very excited now that it's all happening. I mean, it took a lot to get here. There were a lot of hoops to jump through. You know, they have all them COVID measures and protocols and all this other— personally, it's just a bunch of roadblocks and garbage, but I understand they're trying to keep everybody safe. But that's a whole nother topic. Um, so yeah, I'm recording this, it's what, almost 11 PM on Friday, and hopefully you can hear this even with the mask on. And if it sounds kind of muffled, my apologies, but I really wanted to let, you know, everybody know what's going on. Any, like I said, any special requests? Is there any place that you've always wanted to go? Share with me why have you not gone, because saying that COVID or money or You know, friends, family, whatever, work. It's all an excuse until you actually decide to do it. So when are you gonna remove your own roadblocks and get out of the way and start living your life on your terms, nobody else's? So I'm just gonna keep it short and sweet because we will be boarding soon, but I'm sending you all lots of love, and please remember, healing begins where the ego ends.
