This Prayer Changes Everything When You're Grieving

Christine J. Gold, a psychic medium and somatic healer, guides a non-denominational grief prayer for people mourning loss. She walks through grounding exercises, calls in protective light and ancestors, and affirms that love persists beyond death. The prayer specifically addresses those grieving mothers, reminding them the departed's love continues to reach them.

If you found this video, I don't think it was by accident. Grief has a way of leading us exactly where we need to go. I'm Christine J Gold. I'm a psychic medium, Reiki master, and somatic healer. And today I want to offer you something I'd wish I had in my darkest moments of loss. A prayer. Not a religious prayer, a sacred one. One that holds space for everything you're feeling, everything you can't say, and everything you wish you'd said. Feel free to light a candle, have a crystal nearby, maybe bring in your essential oils, clear and cleanse your space. Maybe you've saged already. Maybe you've lost your mom, maybe you lost someone who felt like a mother, maybe you're navigating Mother's Day without the person who made it matter. Maybe the loss is older than that and it still catches you off guard sometimes. Wherever you are in your grief, this is for you. You don't have to perform being okay here. And before we go into the prayer, I want to get you grounded in your body. Grief lives in the body. We need to make it safe before we open it. Feet flat on the floor, one hand on the heart if you'd like, one on the belly. 3 slow breaths in through your nose, and out through your mouth. In through your nose and out through your mouth. On your third exhale, let your body know it is safe to feel. I'm going to ask you to think and feel of the person or persons or the loss you're carrying today. You don't have to say their name out loud, just let them into the room with you. Allow them to come in. Feel whatever comes. That feeling is love. It never stopped. Okay, let's begin. I'm going to open sacred space for us now. I call in the light—white, golden, infinite—to surround everyone watching this video, wherever they are, whenever they are watching or listening. Time is not linear in spirit. This prayer reaches you in the moment you need it. I call in our guides, our angels, our ancestors, every benevolent presence who loves the person right here, right now. I ask that the space be held in love, in safety, in truth. Nothing that is not of the highest good may enter here. Only love, only peace, only joy, only light, only healing. And so it is. Divine Light, Infinite Love, I bring you a heart that is heavy today, a heart that is learning how to carry something it never wanted to carry. I ask you to hold it with me. I cannot do this alone. None of us can. And so I ask, be with us now. For every person we have lost, Every mother, every father, every friend, every love, every animal. We release the weight of their absence from our bodies today. We have been holding it in our shoulders, in our chest, in our throat. We give it to you now. Take what is too heavy for us to carry alone. We do not release them. We release the grief that keeps us from feeling their love. They are interchangeable. Because their love did not leave when they did. It never does. Love does not die. It changes form, and they are closer than you know. For everything that was left unsaid and unfinished. Every "I love you" that didn't make it in time. Every "I'm sorry" that never landed. Every conversation we rehearsed in our heads but never had. We release it now. They know on the other side. They know the love behind every unsaid word reaches them whole. Nothing was lost. Nothing. And if there is anger mixed in with the grief, if love and hurt are tangled together the way they sometimes are, that is allowed here too. Complicated grief is still grief. And it is still love. I ask now for healing in the body, healing in the mind, wherever grief has made a home, in the tightness of the chest, in the heaviness behind the eyes, In the catch in the throat that comes without warning, let the light move through it now. Breathe in through the nose and out. Feel the light moving through every place you have been holding this. You are allowed to put it down. Not forever, just for right now, just for this breath. For every daughter, every son watching this who is spending Mother's Day with an empty chair at the table, I want you to know she is not gone from the table. She is simply on the other side of the veil, and the veil is thinner and accessible, more accessible than you think. She sees you. She is proud of you, and I hope you are proud of yourself. More importantly, the love that she had for you, she brought it with her. It did not stay here when she left. It went with her. Which means it is always moving towards you. Divine Light, thank you for holding this space. Thank you for holding these hearts. Thank you for the reminder that love is the only thing that moves freely between this world and the next. May everyone carrying grief today feel a little less alone after this. May they feel the presence of those they love. May they know that being missed is being loved, and they are so, so So loved, and so are you, and so it is. Come back gently. Take a breath. Wiggle your fingers. If your eyes were closed, open them slowly. How are you feeling? Maybe before, maybe after. Drop something in the comments. Even if it's a little flower, an emoji, so I know you were here. I read every single one. And if you cry, good, that's not weakness, that's the prayer working, that's the healing moving through you, that's the acknowledgement that you are connecting, you want to be connected, you want to stay connected, You're trusting, you're allowing, you're letting go, you're surrendering. If you felt nothing, that's okay too. Sometimes grief is numb before it's soft. Come back to this video whenever you need it. There is no limit. If today opened something and you want support, You can send me a message, send me the word grief. We can talk about what's right for you, a reading, a healing session, or just a conversation. And I want to end with something specific for anyone watching this around Mother's Day, or maybe the date of passing, or their birthday. Something significant. Your grief is proof of how much she mattered. You don't have to be okay on Sunday. You don't have to perform gratitude or joy or healing. You are allowed to just miss her. And if you feel her today in a song, in a smell, in a conversation, in a moment that stops you, a bird maybe, That's not your imagination. That's her. Happy Mother's Day to the moms watching from the other side. We feel you. We love you. We will never forget. Take care of yourself today. Namaste.
