Unplugged

The host shares her Dream Vision Map practice: choosing one word or feeling for the year instead of listing goals, with quarterly check-ins to stay flexible. She argues against the machine-like content grind, advocating instead for a soul-centered approach rooted in connection and co-creation.

Hello and welcome to The Power of Healing Your Energy Show. This is a short session. I thought, um, I would switch it up. I'm actually recording this on my phone, not in front of a camera, in my pajamas, and I wanted to talk today about unplugging, and I'm really taking, you know, a page out of the book of Unplug, Unwind, Reset. I have been continually moving forward, and some of the momentum in some of the things I've been doing have snowballed. And what do I mean by snowballed? Meaning they start picking up things along the way that I'm not sure aligns with who I am and what I'm doing and my purpose. So I always ask, you know, my clients when we start the beginning of January, I have a dream vision map that I do. And it's all about, you know, having a word, an intention, a feeling for 2021. And mine was intention. And because I would tend to have a gazillion ideas and maybe do 5 of them, and it would really keep me from honing in on how I wanted my year to feel like. And it's all about feeling, it's not about the goal. It's great to have goals, but we don't want to be attached and beating ourselves up if we do not reach that goal. So At the beginning of the year, mine was intention. And you know, I'm sure maybe you don't have a word yet, or maybe you've thought about it and maybe it just came to you now, and that's fine because we meet up every quarter as well. I just finished, um, today's session for the Dream Vision Map, and the next one will be in July. And the reason we check in every 3 months is because things change. And we have to learn to adapt and change with it and to go with the flow and to really sit and allow and relax and let go and let things come in without having to try so hard. So I guess that really is the main message, is When you feel like you are trying and trying and trying, it's time to start undoing, undoing, unwinding, unwinding. Because eventually, you know, from my own personal experience and my many dark night of the souls that I've had, being an old soul, that's what happens is you're— it just keeps coming back and coming back and coming back, and the lesson never is learned. It's never fully felt. It's never fully experienced. It's never fully healed. So I am taking a pause in regards to, um, feeling like I have to put content out once a week, twice a week, 3 times, whatever it happens to be. Um, that model is old and it's outdated, and it feels like a machine, and I'm not a machine. We're souls. We're here to create. We're here to co-create. We're here to collaborate. We're here for connection. We are hardwired for connection. And definitely connection with self, with our guides, our angels, and our loved ones. So in order to do so, we have to take care of ourselves. And when we find we're not taking care of ourselves, that's when we tend to walk away from things. We get frustrated, we start lashing out, we start sliding into old habits. Right, I'm, I'm sure I'm not the only one here, and I would love to hear your feedback, any comments. Send me a message, any suggestions that you have, and any guests, anyone that you follow, that you listen to, that you watch, that has changed your life or you think is amazing. Send them my way as well because I'm, you know, always looking for people that have a story, and we all have a story. So I, I guess what I'm asking is, what's your story? And, um, I always feel we're rewriting our chapter, rewriting, rewriting, rewriting, because it is possible. It's not set in stone. You are forever changing, expanding, and learning about yourself more than ever. And as I conclude this short little sweet session of ours together, I want to thank you, um, for being here, for listening, for sharing, for leaving reviews. I read every single one. And I really do appreciate you taking the time, you know, to maybe try something different, learn something new, have the curiosity to expand further into your soul's purpose. All right, well, I'm signing off. I'm sending you lots of love. And please remember, healing begins where the ego ends.
