He emphasizes statements that show a pattern of support to help eliminate negligence claims.

But think about this. When the incident response team comes in or the mitigation team comes in, who's that usually coming from? That's coming from the insurance company or maybe even a compliance company. Depending on where you're at, what type of client it is, you have to be able to say, yep. Hey, here's what we did. We told them they needed more. We told them they needed a cyber security risk assessment. We completed that for them. We presented them a plan. We offered them the full stack. They declined. So. So we allowed them to take us down the ladder. Fine. But we showed them they needed more. So the statements are so key in this and the ability to establish that pattern of support and that behavior. We tried. So that's really important towards eliminating negligence.
