Chris Wiser explains why he hires people strong in areas where he's weak, especially sales management. He argues that delegation and trusting your team to succeed matters more than doing everything yourself.
And I actively hire people to help me work on the things that I suck at. Vianney and Michelle, I struggle with sales management. I struggle. There's no way in hell like Jose. I'm really 100% honest with you. If those two weren't here, we wouldn't talk. This is how it is. And you know what? You'd be left out on your own to struggle. That's how it works. That's how this stuff happens. Because that's not me as a person. So I have to say I'm going to not eliminate that, but I'm going to delegate with abandon. So I'm going to trust my team to hire really good people. I'm also not afraid to pay them pretty well, But I really delegate on the stuff that I'm very bad at. And this is really important to do.
