Short excerpt from a YouTube conversation (Chris Wiser and another speaker) arguing that many managed service provider (MSP) businesses are unprepared for cyberattacks; clients typically believe their MSP has their back and will react with urgency and questions when breached. The speakers assert that hacks are inevitable and clients rely on MSPs to respond.
Well, the bottom line is these businesses are not prepared. They are in a place where they fully believe. And I want you to think about this. I want you to really think about this.
Your clients.
The same guys we were just talking about, they fully believe you have their back. Now, I understand there's some anomalies here and there, or maybe you're really good at having the conversation with your client and telling them, hey, Mr. Client, you're going to get hacked. But for the most part, I'd be willing to bet if you picked up the phone right now and said, hey, I was just on the Dark Web, I saw all of your bank passwords, and they took.
Half the bank money in your bank account last night. What's your plan?
Your clients would be like, you're my IT guy.
You tell me.
What do you mean? How did they get in? What's going on? They do start this huge barrage of questions because they think you got their back.
Because the bottom line is, you can't stop it, and.
