Short video (YouTube) by Chris Wiser advising managed service providers (MSPs) that the primary risk their clients face is lack of understanding about cybersecurity and the inevitability of being hacked. The speaker urges MSPs to lead conversations about cybersecurity, perform and promote risk assessments, and offer resources/training to help clients prepare and scale MSP business (e.g., webinars on doubling MRR).
We can't stop every single hack from happening, but as an msp, we can put the right systems in place to make sure we provide our clients with peace of mind when an attack does happen. So in this video, I want to talk about the number one risk your clients face today and how you, as an msp, can avoid it. Before we get started, make sure to sign up for our upcoming webinar to learn how to double your MNRR as an MSP. As an MSP, your number one risk that your clients face today is they don't understand cybersecurity and they don't understand that they are going to get hacked. It is your job to make sure that they get that. They have to understand a hack is imminent and they are always at risk. So what can you, as an msp, do to help your clients avoid that mindset? The first thing you have to do is you have to start talking about cybersecurity. Talk about cybersecurity risk assessments. Talk about the fact that they're going to get breached, they're going to have hacked, they're going to have issues with passwords. All these things have to be out front and center. And you have to be actively talking about this with every single one of your clients and every single one of your prospects in your market. You need to be the IT provider, the MSP that talks about and leads with cybersecurity.
