When a client says they need time to think, Chris Wiser shows how to ask what they'll actually do during that time. Find out who they'll consult, what other options they're weighing, and whether they're leaning toward doing nothing, doing something, or doing it halfway.
When somebody tells me they want to think about it. And this is sort of like the, the coaching moment. What we do is, first of all, we show respect. We understand that it's important that you think about it. But now I'm going to take you through a set of questions that help narrow the field of what you're considering. Yes. Okay. So if I leave the field wide open, I have no idea what you're going to be doing while you go off to think about it. So who's going to help you think about it? Is there anyone that you'd like to talk to that could help you as you evaluate your options? And what other options are you considering? Right. So let's talk about one more thing. And I don't know if this actually goes with your question. I think I might be getting a little too far. No, I love it. I have a great follow up question I'm gonna do too. But. But here's the thing. There's always three choices. Do nothing. Do something. Do something halfway. Right. Do something. That's not all that great.
