Eddie landed a 12-month advisory contract with a drapery manufacturer after meeting prospects at Rotary clubs and following up over coffee. He ran their bill of materials through AI to find cheaper suppliers with faster lead times, saving them roughly 40 hours a week. The client signed for monthly advisory work based on a hands-on demo.

Took the client's bill of materials, used AI to find alternative suppliers globally (including EU companies), and produced spreadsheets/files for engineering software.
Do you mind us chatting on this for just a second? Would you guys want to hear Eddie and how he closed the new AI advisory client? Would this be helpful to y'? All? Yeah. All right. Eddie, do you mind chit chatting for a minute?
I've been going to Rotary clubs for the last three months doing being their speaker and usually out of one Rotary club I'll get three people want to talk to it and one of them's usually a company. The one that I sold was he come up and he says look, I have a problem. He manufactures draperies for high end homes and offices. And he says I can't buy product because of tariffs in China's not working. Could AI help us? And I said I don't see why it couldn't help us. And that's how we, we went on that discussion. We drank a cup of coffee and then he signed a 8:50amonth contract for me. So for 12 months he's booked. So I, I work with him as an, as an advisory role. I get on a zoom call and talk to it. So what we did, I'm spoiling something that I would like to share later. But what we did was we took a list of his bill of materials, pull out my engineer hat so I can talk to him and we ran it in AI and we said where can I buy all these materials around the world. And it's fit a bunch of companies out in the EU that he didn't even know existed. He found a higher quality product for a lower price than what he was buying from Asian suppliers. And his turnaround time went from months to days so he didn't have to and that. But you went through a lot of the stuff from the and the book, asking questions, working with AI tried to get him to explain and stuff. I made him live on AI for about 20 hours before he did it and I made him buy. I didn't care if he bought ChatGPT Copilot or Google's product, just buy one. He bought ChatGPT and he went to the higher level because he's seen what my my seat would do versus what the shared public one. And then it created spreadsheets. He actually got it to create files to bring into their engineering software and he got other stuff out of it. That all in all he said I probably what little bit he's learned already. We're saving him 40 hours a week his company. That's incredible. But it was just having a heart to heart, one on one, people to people conversation. So I'm going out there dangling it in front of groups. But then when the one person starts to nibble, then I let him bite. It's just to me it's, it's old fashioned sales and old fashioned, old fashioned sort of selling.
It's not old fashioned. That is the heart of sales. It's real conversation. It's, it's real connection.
And it was just sitting there and listening to him. And as he's going, my wheels are turning up here, 900 miles an hour. And he said he's googled. He couldn't find this, he couldn't find that. But we started, we played in less than an hour of just fiddling and I said, well, you know, I need to be paid for this. And then he looked at, I said, well, I've got an, I've got a month, a month offering. I sold him right there on this spot. I both of them that I have done that way has been that way. So there's a market out there for it. I'm just getting my feet wet into it. I'm just starting to understand it. But you realize, look at that amount of money that I'm spending for basically an hour and a half of time a month. Why am I wanting to do anything else but not this? She's easy. This is easy.
And you like it and you enjoy it.
Yes.
Way to go. Awesome. Eddie, for sharing. I know that you're going to be sharing more on that, so we'll leave the rest for later. Thank you for sharing, Eddie.
