Y'all, one of my Inner Circle members asked today, and I quote, how do I present on brand while knowing I'm not there without feeling fake? Let me give it to you like this. My best friend Michelle gave me a pair of Birkenstocks when I turned 50. I turned 50 almost 3 years ago. Do you want to know why I hadn't worn them until this year? Because these jokers hurt when you first put them on. They hurt. But you want to know how you fix that? You keep wearing them until you break them in. Do You want to know what that means you're supposed to do when you're trying to build confidence? You need to decide who you're supposed to be. Ask God, how has he designed you? And then walk like it's the truth. It might be uncomfortable, but if you keep walking in what you believe God is doing in your life, eventually you'll break it in. And you know what happens when these shoes get broken in? You never take them off because they are molded to me. It is molded to my foot, just like your confidence can be molded to your life. If you have not been confident, it is your time to walk in confidence. Ask God, what does he say about you? And then believe Live it and say it and pray it over yourself until the shoe fits.
