Good morning, good morning. Hopefully you can hear me okay. You know, every time I get on here, I have to double-check all my tech, make sure y'all can hear me. Good morning. Oh, I got two screens going. Let me fix that. Good morning, good morning. Oh. Y'all, good morning. Good morning, good morning, good morning. Let me double-check and make sure Instagram is with us because I always am trying to make sure I can rope Instagram in. I think we are. Look there, we're all here.
Awesome, awesome.
Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. It's a good morning for a little QC, y'all. It's a good morning. Y'all see my hair? I did it yesterday, but then I— then I, then I had to come home and twist it up. See, this is why. There we go. Hopefully that'll stay put. This is why I don't like to do my hair, because then when you do it, then you have to keep up with it. It's a whole thing. And God forbid that we actually have to think about our hair every day. Anyway, good morning, good morning, good morning. I've got my water this morning. I would love to know what you're drinking. We're here because we have been coming here— gosh, I don't even know how many weeks. I know it's at least Has it been— it's been at least 4 or 5, maybe 6, not sure, um, but we're closing in on more than a few weeks that we've been getting together. If you're trying to figure out who I am, I'll throw this on the screen. I'll put this up here so Instagram can see it. Um, chrystalevanshurst.com, that's who I am, um, that's where I am also. And so if this is your first time with us today just know that we've been here and I hear that we have a little bit of a community because I've seen you all in the comments enjoying each other, having a good time, seeing each other and recognizing some names, which is pretty cool. So I'm seeing you guys drinking coffee, water with lime, cinnamon apple tea. That's interesting. Coffee and water, orange juice, cinnamon apple tea. I read that one.
And a bottle water.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Chai latte. All right. All right. Gonna make a green tea in a second. Rooibos tea. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I love rooibos tea. It's full body. Cinnamon and turmeric tea with honey. Kaffee!
Cynthia says kaffee!
Let me show y'all how she spelled it. She literally said it just like that. Kaffee! That's fun. So y'all, I'm here today because I want to talk to you about something. So if you saw the graphic when you logged on, you could see that I said, no, um, what did I say? Because this is my whole life. Know when you grow. Okay. And I want to talk to you a little bit about knowing when you've grown and when you need to grow. Know when you grow. There's a level of awareness in your life that I think you should have, that I think I should have, that helps us to live life intentionally. And I want to talk a little bit about that. Before I do that, I want to make sure that everybody knows today is the day. So we've been talking about living on purpose, we've been talking about living with intention, we've been talking about— we've been talking about a lot of things, y'all, some of which, as I was talking to my sister last night, she was like, well, what kinds of things? And I was telling her that sometimes my husband, I will literally see a text pop up on the screen and it'll just say, stop. Stop what? And it's probably there's something I'm talking about. He's like, Chrystal, come on, like you can't. So I was telling her about y'all, how we were helping each other with the Poised Conversation. And of course I mentioned one day, you know, sports blog. Listen, I'm just trying to help everybody out. She was like, Chrystal, you know, my husband's like, stop.
Anyway, y'all, what— maybe one day I will grow up.
But in the meantime, I'm glad that you're here, and I'm glad that we've had all the conversations in the last week, keeping it real and having a good time. But today is the day where the online event begins. And so for those of you who are interested in it and hadn't yet done anything about that, today is a good day to do something about that. You can simply go to chrystalevanshurst.com, and right there at the top, smack dab in the middle of the screen, is everything that you need to know to— uh-oh, did I freeze? Hopefully I didn't freeze. Oh, Jesus. So I'm on my desktop this morning, the one that typically does not give me problems because it's a desktop and it's bigger and it has video graphics cards and all these things, and it's old, but it's stable. Um, I took, I was afraid for a second. Okay. So anyway, you can go there and sign up for the whole weekend. What do you get for the whole weekend? Y'all listen, this is the second time I've thrown an event where people came to the event, not quite knowing what they were going to get. My prayer is that what happens this weekend is the same thing that happened in person at last year's retreat. And that is that you have no idea what to expect. And then when you leave, you're like, oh my gosh, that was the best thing ever. Um, so what I do know is that we have between 30— I don't know the exact count, but it's between 35 and 40 sessions. About half of those will be what we're calling them hybrid sessions, live, meaning that the speaker, the encourager, the teacher will be there to say hello when we share their content. They will be in the comments with you, and then afterwards they will be there for Q&A. What we did is we had them record their content because y'all know technology, right? Tech-no-lo-gy. And, um, and then what we wanted to do was to make sure that we could have content even if something goes wrong, they can't get on, they get sick, we still can deliver that content.
But they will be there.
And then there are another— the other half of those sessions we're calling on-demand because they are deep dives to things that you may want to know more about, more about. And the reality is we can't put 30 sessions in a weekend, and even if we could, you wouldn't want to sit in front of your computer that long. So we took certain ones of those and made them live sessions, hybrid sessions, and then other ones of those are deep dives where we talk about something to, to a greater extent. And so you have between 35 and 40 sessions that you can enjoy over this weekend, and then the replays are available through May 31st. Um, after that, then we'll see. I've got some conversations to have with those encouragers to see if they'd like to do something beyond that. But that is a way for me to share my friends, their encouragement, their wisdom, their knowledge with you.
Now here's the good news.
Here's the good news, y'all, because today is Fri-yay!
Fri-yay!
Somebody say Fri-yay! Okay, so, um, the deal is— I see y'all helping each other. In the comments. There's a buzz. Oh, sorry.
Sorry. My bad. I put it over the camera. I didn't learn the lesson yesterday.
Okay.
Okay. Hopefully that's better. Is that better? I hope that's better. Okay. All right. So, um, so today though, y'all, today, tonight, our opening keynote is free. Okay, not only that, but if you're following me on all of my platforms, I think we're giving away like 20 passes, like 5 here, 5 there, 5 here, 5 there. So, uh, you know, check it out. But if you are like, I just know I need to sign up, I've been meaning to sign up, uh, then just sign up. Because here's the thing, today at 11-ish, 11:30-ish Central Standard Time. Um, we had 3 parts of the program. So the event has the event where you get the main thing, then it has the VIP, you get a digital swag bag and, um, some extra content and fun things with me tomorrow morning. Um, and then there's the summit. So if you are a speaker or writer, then that part starts today. Like we're starting today this morning with extra content for those who are speakers and writers. So the whole thing is not for speakers and writers only, just Friday morning daytime is speakers and writers where we're talking about that. Um, so we're trying to make it easy. Um, those of you who are in the Inner Circle, you get the both of the keynotes. Um, so your information is coming. So we're trying to make it easy for as many people, uh, to come as possible while still making sure that it's an event that is a blessing to all the encouragers that are in, that are, you know, sharing their time with you. So how do you sign up for the keynote speaker for tonight?
Okay.
So basically you just go to chrystalevanshurst.com/tscfree. Now I've heard from some people on Instagram, they're having problems with it, but that we tested it out this morning. It should, it should work. Okay. Alright, now if you have questions, there's a sweet little girl named Candice who will be checking email all day today. That's, that's her job, is to check email and make sure that we're answering your questions. So if you have questions about the event, you can—
uh-oh—
you can email us here: tsc@chrystalevanshurst.com. Okay, everything for this whole event is recorded, meaning that you can watch it when we are sharing it for the first time live, or you can watch it after that on your own time. And you have until May 31st to watch whatever the sessions are that work for you. So let me, let me give you an example. We have all of our motherhood sessions, um, they are on-demand sessions, and that's because everybody's not a mom, right? But we have one for moms of toddlers, and we have ones for empty nesters, and we have ones for teenagers, and we have like a variety of them. So if you know that you need that, then you have the whole rest of the month to grab what you need, but it's not in tomorrow's programming where the speaker is there live. The cool thing though is that I'll be pulling various encouragers on live with me during the event. So even though some of them are on demand, you'll get a chance to meet some of them because we're just going to have a good time. Okay, so here's what I need y'all to do. Those of y'all who love Jesus, I need y'all to pray that the tech does not give us a headache. So we have tested, we have trained, we have— I mean, our interns, bless their hearts, they've had like 3 training sessions trying to work out kinks. Oh, we are working so hard, y'all. I literally, I was on— so we use Voxer as a team, and, um, we talk— you can talk, it's like a walkie-talkie app. So I can just hit a button and talk and they can talk back to me. Right? And so, um, so there were about 4 of us, y'all. We were going back and forth last night trying to get the final details. And then what had happened was I started talking, I pressed the button and I started talking. And apparently after about the first 20 seconds of whatever it is that I had to say, I fell asleep and then they had to just listen to 15 minutes of silence. And then I woke up and I saw their comments. Do you think she went to sleep? Probably. She was up really, really late last night. Yeah, she said she's been, she said she's tired. Like they were talking and then I woke up and they said, and then one of them said, okay, y'all, I'm just going to go ahead and call it a night. And then the other one said, watch her wake up as soon as we decide to get off. And y'all, I was like, I'm awake again. They just listened to me. To 15 minutes of silence. So it's like, so y'all working hard. I think we went to bed last night at 1 o'clock in the morning trying to just get everything going. All right, Instagram, I can see y'all.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Yes.
Uh, Christina said you thought I would not be online this morning. Listen, I thought about it because we got stuff to do. Uh, Monique last night was like, girl, so you got a live at 7? And then you got to teach them at 8:30. You got to be on with the speakers and writers at 11:00, 11:30. I said, yeah, it's event day. You do what you got to do. You do what you got to do. Okay, Cherith. Okay, you said, so iPhone says voice memos, no need for Voxer. I don't like, I don't like the, um, the phone messages for a variety of reasons. In Voxer, I can listen on 3 or 4 times the speed.
That's number one.
Number two is if I start a conversation, I can press play, and then if 5 people were talking for 15 minutes, I don't— I could just press play and it just plays the whole conversation. In Messages, you have to press each one at a time. Um, yeah, so I, I love Voxer. Um, we're starting to try to use Slack, but I haven't, I haven't grown up yet though. It's event day. Yes, you do what you— this is what I tell my kids, it's from The Great Debaters. You do what you have to do so you can do what you want to do. And today we're doing what we have to do so we can do what we want to do. What I have to do is be consistent. What I have to do is fulfill my goal of being encouraging to you daily through this weekend. Uh, what I have to do is to work out all the tech and stay up late and make sure it's working. And what do I want to do? I want to know that after this weekend that I've connected you with people that you didn't know, with information that you didn't have, um, and with encouragement that you actually needed. And in order for me to know that I've done my job, cause that's a part of what I need to do, um, then you gotta stay up and make it happen. Hey Ashley on Instagram, I see ya. Annette Moore, I see ya. Hey y'all, hey y'all, hey y'all, hey y'all. Okay, all right, all right, all right. How do you create a group in Voxer? Ooh, that's a whole thing. One other day when I pop on, I'll have to figure out how to connect my phone so that you can see my phone, because I don't think I know how to do that yet. I don't think I've grown up enough to do that. All right, let's see here. All right, so what I wanted to talk to you about See, yeah, it doesn't recognize my phone. All right, so what I wanted to talk to you about is how to know when to grow. So that's enough preliminary stuff. And, uh, y'all, this is our official, uh, last day. Now everybody's been trying to tell me, Chrystal, you're not going to not be able to come back. You're used to them, they're used to you. I even had y'all, somebody, I think she even goes to my church, email me and say, I keep hearing you say you don't have a producer, and I produce for MSNBC. I'd be happy to help you. I don't even know what that means, but like, I have people saying, okay, what do we have to do to keep you on? I, I don't even know. But what I'm saying is, as of today, today is my last day to do these dailies. Now, will I ever do it again? I'm not saying I won't. I'm just saying I don't— I think I'm not committing to daily. So I can live my life and y'all can live yours. Okay. I want to make sure Instagram is still going. Hopefully it is. Okay. It looks like it is.
Awesome.
Okay. Somebody said, say it ain't so, say it ain't so. Y'all so churchy. Sad day Friday. No, it's going to be a good day. It's going to be a good day. Uh, you know what, let me give away a ticket for— let me give away a summit ticket. I'm about to give away a summit ticket. So Monique, text me and tell me what I should use to choose somebody. Should I just choose somebody randomly? Should I, should I, should I just choose somebody randomly? Do I, do I have a, do I have a question I want to ask? I'll let Monique tell me, y'all. She'll tell me. She, she will. I believe it. I believe she'll tell me. Monique, I have my messages on, on my phone. Y'all, I want to show you something. I don't know. So this is my baby. This is my baby, y'all. She has been with me through thick and thin. I don't even know if y'all can see this, but here, let me see if I So right here, you see those dings, like right here? I mean, I have dropped her. I mean, I have dropped her. She is— she has made it through thick and thin with me. I love her, but she's tired, y'all. Her big sister arrived. She's beautiful. But she's huge. She's heavy. I don't know. She came to the door last night. She arrived like a house guest that you don't have room for and said, "Let me in! Let me in!" And I let her come in and I was like, "You too, honey. You taking up too much space. I don't know." I don't know. I mean, y'all, I drop my laptop all the time, all the doggone stinking time. Like, I mean, it has nicks. And then here's what I do.
Here's what I do.
I take— I don't think I have— oh yeah, I do.
I take—
let's see, I take— you see that ding right there?
Let's see.
See that ding right there?
Right there.
I take a nail file. Isn't that terrible? This is what you do when you live with somebody for a while. You just, you do what you gotta do to keep everybody— but you know, I didn't want to scratch myself. I didn't want to, you know, cut myself and it was sharp. But it's still functional. All right, let's see, what did Monique say? Let's see, she hasn't said anything yet. Oh my goodness. Okay, a nail file. All right, so here we go. Somebody said, oh my God, listen, but when you, when you've been at home with them for a little bit, let me, let me tell you what I heard. I heard, um, that there are people who, even though they're married, Like where they won't— like a girl told me she does not get up. She gets up before her husband to put her makeup on. And I'm like, how many years have you been married? And it was a long time. Then there's another girl who said, oh no, I can't, I can't use my— I use the restroom if my husband's in the bathroom. Like I can't, I don't want him to see me using the restroom. I'm just saying after a certain amount of time, he ought to be able to see you without your makeup on. After a certain amount of time, it ought not matter. You know what I mean? If it just, it just to me. So after a certain amount of time, as long as she's working, as long as she knows I love her, if I'm just trying to smooth out, you know, some of the rough edges, she's all right. Oh, oh my goodness. All right, so let me give away a summit ticket. I'll give away two. I'll give away 3. I'll give away— uh-oh, Monique is like, okay. I'm gonna give away 1, because I don't see anybody on Periscope. So I'll give away 1 on Facebook, 1 on YouTube, and 1 on Instagram. All right? Okay, but I'm trying to figure out how I should give it away. How I should pick, huh?
Ooh, hmm.
I gotta make the playing field even. Let's see, what could I ask? How could I give it away? Hold on, let me, hold on, let me vox the team and ask them. Good morning, girls. So I'm on live and I'm talking to a bunch of people on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, maybe even some folks on Periscope, and I'm trying to— I'm gonna give away 3 summit tickets. One on Instagram, one on Facebook, and one on Instagram. One on Facebook, one on Instagram, one on YouTube. The question is, is how do I pick? Like, they're in the comments going crazy right now. So how do I— how should I pick? What question should I ask? What criteria? Should I make like, I mean, do I just pick randomly or do I like ask a question? I will do whatever y'all tell me to do. 2020 interns. Okay.
All right.
We'll wait until they don't, don't talk to me. Text me so that way I can see what you're saying. Okay. All right.
All right.
I want to say something about how you know when, when to grow. How to— what did I say? How to know— how to know— yeah, know when to grow. Is that what I say? Know when you grow. Lord Jesus, know when you grow. How to know when you grow. So let me give you— let me give you lesson number 1. Yes, but I need to know what question to ask. Um, so this time with this event, um, I was like, back in April— I'm gonna come back to the tickets— back in April, early April, late March actually, I was like, y'all know we had a plan. We had a plan that after this year's retreat that we were going to grab a lot of great content from that event, and then we were going to have an online event for the people who couldn't come. That was a plan in 2021 because we have not been as great about doing our vision casting and strategy meetings this year because it's been a crazy year. But, um, normally we try to look forward. A wise woman told me you should always know in May of this year what you're doing in May of next year. Oh, I froze on Instagram.
Uh-oh.
Okay, I should be back. Instagram just freezes sometimes. Uh-oh. Well, hmm. Uh-oh, frozen. It says I'm still live. I think that's just— you know what, let me do this. Let me get off of my Wi-Fi and see if that fixes it.
There we go.
Oh, it's freezing. I don't know why. Sorry, Instagram. Hopefully it'll come back in a minute.
Okay.
Okay. Oh, that's a good one. Okay, you have to name, okay, 4 guests that I have had on a little QC. 4 guests that I've had on a little QC. So if you've been watching, you should be able to name 4 guests that I've had on this, these, all these daily lives. 4 guests. You have to put them in one post though. You can't just put one. All right, all right, all right, all right. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, okay. Lori Hein, Lori Hein. Okay, you are our YouTube winner. You are our YouTube winner. Okay, so what I need you to do, Lori, is send— oh good, we're back on Instagram— is send an email to info@chrystalevanshurst.com. Info@chrystalevanshurst.com. All right, let me, let me tell the girls. So Lori Hein, H-E-I-N-E, Lori Ain, I'm not sure. She's our YouTube winner. Okay, so let me go back in here and find our face— find a Facebook winner. Coming back to Instagram. I see you, Instagram. All right, all right, 4 of them. You have to name 4.
And I'm—
let's see. Somebody said, hmm. Oh, this is hilarious. You probably typing so fast. Okay, so the winner on Facebook is Kania Washington. Kania Washington. And she said, y'all, here it is. Kania, Tony Evans, Priscilla Shrivell, Mandela, and the Pits Girls. But I know what you meant. I know what you meant. I know what you meant. Priscilla Shivel is Priscilla Shire, and Mandela is Mandisa. But I'm gonna give you an A for effort. That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna give you an A for effort. All right, let me go over here for Instagram and find Alright, go to Instagram and find somebody. Alright, alright, alright. Oh! Instagram just died! Ah! Hold on a minute. I don't know what happened, but I gotta be nice and go back and get 'em. Hold on a minute. Hold on a minute. I'm coming back because I got a giveaway. I didn't have to give something away. I wouldn't worry about it, but that's not fair. Shucks.
Uh-oh.
They're like, no, no, no, we gonna win. They're sending me DMs now. All right, everybody, hold on. Give me a second. It's our last day, so we had to do something fun. We had to. We had to. Hold on a minute. Jesus be a fence all around us every day. All right, I'm coming back to Instagram. All right, all right, here we go. Okay, okay, so it's all right, Instagram. I'm gonna give y'all a minute to get back on here and then I'm gonna pick, okay? So I'm gonna give y'all a minute to get back on here. My bad. Okay, so back in March I said that I wanted to look at having the event that we planned for 2021 in 2020. I was like, everybody's at home, we plan to do it, we'll have to figure it out, but I think we should do it. And then I thought, it's too much, the tech is too much, I don't know if it's going to be okay, it's going to cost money, I have to charge, but now is not a good time to charge. And y'all, I went back and forth trying to make a decision. And if you've read She's Still There, you already know that sometimes you just have to make a decision. But it took me a minute because I was trying to answer all the questions. Now, what I'm proud of is that it didn't take me as long of a minute as the decision that having an event for the retreat last year took me. It took me forever to make that decision because I was like, you know, it's a big risk. Like, I've got to pay the venue up front, and if people don't come, I'm out thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars, you know. I mean, I'm gonna owe them the money whether 50 people come or 200 people come. And it took me a long time to make that decision. But I was at church on a New Year's Eve service And I couldn't tell you what the sermon was about off the top of my head right now. What I could tell you is what the Lord said to me because of the sermon. He was just like, "Do it. Do it. Stop hesitating. I put it in your heart. Do it." So when it came time for this event, this online event, I felt the same consternation. I felt the same struggle. I felt the same, "I don't know. I don't know if this is a good thing. I don't know if we can make it work. I don't know how this is going to go." And I remembered the last thing where I was in church and God said, "Do the thing." So my hesitation this time, while I did hesitate, it wasn't as long and it didn't take me as long to make a decision. Okay, so I ran into the same thing. Time to grow, time to do something different, time to take a risk, same problem. Okay, but I was different. I had learned that oftentimes when God gives me a, hmm, maybe I should do this, like, mm, I'm now recognizing that as a signal that it's probably the very thing that I need to do. Now, it took me a second to get the message, but I did get it, and I got it faster. How you know when you grow is when the same thing that happened to you last year, the same thing that happened to you 10 years ago, it comes back around again, but who you are is different. That's one of the ways you know when you grow, is that your reaction time, your decision time, your emotional recovery time, it's shorter because you've learned something. So without telling too much on one of my kids, I believe that you ought to make A's. It doesn't mean you need to be an A student. I just believe that by the time you leave my house, you need to know what A work is. Now you're going to take your test or, you know, do your quiz or Write that paper and you're going to get your grade, and I may give you some opportunity for extra credit. But then once you've gotten your final grade, we're going to go over that again so that you know what an A paper looked like, so that you know what an A, uh, what an A grade would look like, so that you know what the problems would— should have looked like when you made an A. Because I want you to have tasted and seen what an A looks like. So in order for you to make an A, or in order for you to be an A student and understand what A students do, We do A-student work, and that means we take our time and we go over it and we go over it until you get it. Listen, God wants to grow you up. He wants to grow you up, and he wants you to be an A-student. Now, he knows you may not be wired that way. He knows that you may not be, you know, an academic person. He knows that you may not be the kind of person who gets the lesson the first time. So he said, that's okay, I'm gonna let you take the test, I'm gonna let you make your grade, I may give you a little room for extra credit, but then what I'm gonna do is make sure that you slow down and you do the work so that you know what it is to make an A. And then to make sure you know what it is to be an A student, I might give you the test again. How to know when you grow? It's that you enter the same thing that you did a different time and you have a different reaction. Oh Lord, is Priscilla on here? And Instagram, let me go back over here to Instagram real quick and pick a winner. Let me pick a winner. Okay, see, some of y'all are just repeating what somebody else said. Okay, so let me look for who's saying somebody different. Priscilla, somebody on here won a summit ticket today and they— the question was, who has been on here as my Instagram guest? And somebody actually said Priscilla Shrivell. And then they were trying to say Mandisa and then they said Mandela. I gave her an A for effort. Girl, people are always your name, honey. They, they struggling with your name. Oh, somebody went over and above. I mean, they just listed all the ones.
Okay. Hold on.
Yes, this is alkaline water, naturally alkaline water. All right. Oh, oh, come on, Ann Lettered. So Ann Lettered is a winner. She said Tony Evans, Priscilla Shire, Jackie Hill Perry, Tammy Franklin, Michelle Lewings twice. She's like, let me make sure you know I was watching. Okay, so Ann Lettered, I don't know what your real name is, but you need to email info@chrystalhurtst.com. You made without having to study. I made A's. Priscilla said, I made A's without having to study hard. How do you know I didn't study? I studied. I worked hard for my grades. Okay, why are you always talking in all caps? Instagram, you've had so much trouble. I'm gonna give away one more ticket, one more ticket. I need to ask a different question though, just for Instagram, because y'all got cut off. There are some days where y'all haven't even been able to have the, have the, have the feed. Okay, my, my girls are in the Voxer group going, girl, quit giving stuff away. Oh, here's one. Here's a good one. Come on, Brittany. Okay. I have shared a lot of recipes during quarantine season, a little QCs. Okay. You don't have to have, you don't have to tell me the ingredients in the recipe, but you need to know about 3 recipes that I've mentioned that I've made or that I was going to share during quarantine. It's just for Instagram because they've had trouble. This is just for Instagram. All right, Instagram, I'll give y'all a minute to figure that out, but you got to put all 3 of them in your post.
Okay.
Okay. All right.
This is fun.
Ah, Priscilla said, I answer to shrivel. Uh, hold on, where'd it go? I lost it. She said, I answered to Patricia, Penelope, and Phyllis. She answers to Shrivell, Shiver. I know, y'all, we answer to Chrystal Hurst. Our dad calls us Chrystal Hurst. Priscilla, we just— I answer to Priscilla. Do people ever call you Chrystal Hurst? They probably don't call you Chrystal Hurst. They probably mainly call me Priscilla Hurst, but it's okay. All right, Instagram, I need recipes. All right, so how to know when you grow is that the same thing, the same test that you've taken before, now you make a better grade. Now you don't take as much time to make the decision. Now you don't take as much time to choose obedience. Okay, so let me tell y'all a little story. Let me tell y'all a little story.
Okay, I'm just—
just me being honest. Okay, so y'all on Instagram— okay, here we go with the recipes.
Okay.
I need recipes, Instagram. The 3 recipes I've shared. People call you Chrystal, Priscilla? Really? Okay. Priscilla, why don't you pick the winner on Instagram? So just give it a few minutes. Let everybody put in their comments, um, with the recipes, and then you can pick the winner there. How about that? Just pick a name of somebody who's mentioned 3 recipes that I've shared on Instagram.
Okay.
Here's, here's a story, y'all. So, you know, I don't have a good history necessarily with my dating life in my twenties. So I had this one relationship where I just was accepting a lot of foolishness. And, and I kept doing it, and I kept making excuses for it, and I kept saying, well, I think, you know, I need to change this, or I think he needs this, or I think this is why this happened. I mean, you know, because when you want something, you can justify the mess out of it, right? And so she said, no pressure. Is she even still here? If she doesn't pick a winner, I'll come back and pick big one. Um, but I think she's still here. She may be taking her time. Okay, so, um, but I, I started living differently. I started getting my, my life, getting my life. I also started making a life. So one time, the same foolishness that I had been used to dealing with, accepting It came around again, something that was said that was probably not true, that in past I would have believed it. I would have been like, "Yeah, I think that's the truth." And there's something that happened in my head, same person, same stories, but in my head I remember thinking, "You've come too far for this foolishness." That's exactly what I remember thinking. You have built a life. You have done the thing. You have, uh, made changes. You have gotten a job. You have moved on. You've understood your value. You got grabbed ahold of your worth. You're different. You're not, we're not doing the same thing again. Cause even though this is your history, this is not your now. There's an epiphany moment. You understand what I'm saying? There's an epiphany moment where you say, I'm not picking that up anymore. There's an epiphany moment where you say, I'm not the same person. As the person who's making a decision back then. There's a moment where you say, I'm tired of going around and around in circles. Has anybody ever gotten tired of themselves? Have you ever gotten tired of yourself and just been like, I'm so sick of going around and around this same mountain? Sometimes the sign isn't that you make a good grade. Sometimes the sign is that before you even get to the point where you have to make a different grade, you decide to study in advance because I'm tired of making C's. I'm tired of doing this the long way. I'm actually tired and I don't want to live this way anymore. Has anybody just gotten tired? Cause sometimes that's what happens. Hey Priscilla, did you get off of Instagram? Cause I said I'll let Priscilla pick the winner and then you got quiet. So let me know if you're off cause I did a contest and I said you were going to pick the winner, but then you disappeared. Are you, did you, did you get off? Okay. All right. Has anybody ever gotten tired of themselves? I'm just sick and tired of myself. Oh, she picked already. Oh, I missed it. Oh, we have to find it cause I don't know who it was. She'll have to text me and tell me who it is. I didn't see her pic.
Mm-mm.
I didn't see that.
Let me see.
I didn't see her pic and I've been looking. We'll see. If she didn't pick up it. Okay, so how to know when you grow is that you show up to the same test and you make an A. You just do it differently. But also you show up and you're just like, I'm so sick and I'm just sick and tired of this. You know, I'm just sick and tired of me. That's what happened to Peter. Yes. Yes. Uh, Vivian, it is truly a defining moment because you remember it. You remember it. You're like, I remember the day I just got sick and tired of my own doggone self. You remember that. Where you just said enough is enough. I'm not doing this anymore. I'm not doing this anymore. And it is truly a moment where, um, you will remember it. So sometimes you make an A, sometimes you get sick and tired. Listen, Heidi says on Facebook, whoa, she said, I got tired of the guy I was excusing behavior for. Left him on a Monday. Hey, and found my husband on Friday. I got tired of not knowing how to do personal financing, so I registered for a 9-week course.
Boom.
Listen, that's what happened to me. My current husband was talking to me about that foolery. We were friends and he was like, I just don't think, I just don't think you just, you just need to leave him alone. And I was like, you know what? You are right. Somebody said, that's why I had to Marie Kondo myself in my bedroom. Cause I was sick and tired of my junk. Yeah. Priscilla left. See, this is what she does. She comes in and she stirs y'all all up. And then she leaves. So anyway, check Voxer. You need me to check Voxer?
Hold on.
She did pick someone. She was first. We have a winner. So it's Valerie Rose of 123 on Instagram. Oh, she did pick. Okay, great. You know what? Okay, I'm gonna stop. You know when you grow, you start making A's, you get sick of yourself. Listen, y'all have been paying attention. Somebody's like, "Chrystal Hurst." Okay.
Okay.
I heard you picked. No worries. Okay. How's the other way you know when you grow? Because your people change. Do you know that oftentimes We attract the people that are around us for a reason. Let me tell you a story. One of my sons left off— left out a half a banana, and we've been dealing with fruit flies ever since. One night he had half a banana, he didn't put it away, he didn't finish it, and, uh, He left it out. So we had fruit flies. Do you want to know why we had fruit flies? Because we had fruit that was left out. Do you want to know what will happen in your life? You will attract what you leave out, what you let come out through your pores. It attracts people. Do you want to know? And some of y'all have learned this lesson. You keep attracting the same guy. It's the same guy, and you think he's different, but then you spend enough time with him and you realize it's the same thing. So if it's the same person, it's this— you having the same problem. Maybe the reason why you keep attracting the same problem is because You are putting off a smell, a situation, a circumstance, a vibe. Now that doesn't mean something's wrong with you. It just means you need to grow. You know what I mean? When my, when my sons, um, need to do extra work, there's nothing wrong with them. I take full responsibility for saying, you know what, it is my job as your teacher and your mom to make sure that you not only get the education that you need, but that you learn how to educate yourself. You know what I mean? Because when you leave me, I'm not gonna be here for you to make sure you study in college. And so we've watched, um, link Marissa, we've watched, um, this series on YouTube of study, like we've Googled YouTube study skills and there are whole videos and whole playlists about study skills. I'll share the one that we watched. In the resource for this, for this week. Um, and we watched it. I have study skills books all over my house. There we have, uh, there's a book, um, it's called How to Read a Book. It's on my shelf over there. What's the name of the, who's the author of that? But some of y'all know, cause y'all had to read it in college. Yes, there is an echo in the background because my speakers are down here.
Let me turn that down.
So, uh, but my point is, is I take responsibility on teaching them how to be thinkers beyond me, right? And that's, that's my responsibility. They're not going to be perfect, but I do expect that as they grow, things, you know, things change, right? Because if you, if you are trying to make A's in your life, you don't, you don't hang around Like 100— your whole circle shouldn't be made up of people who are making Fs. Now there's some of that you can't control. You can't control if you married your husband because y'all were both an F and now you're trying to be an A and he's still comfortable being an F. You can't control who your parents were. You can't control who your siblings are. You can't control who your neighbors are. But there are a lot of things you can control. You can control who your small group is. You can control who your friends are. You can control who you choose to be around when it comes to who you hang out with at work. You can control whether or not you go to school and you're around other people who are trying to learn what you're trying learn. You can control who you engage with on social media. You know what I'm saying? Like, you will know by what's around you with what you can choose if, if you're growing. So look, listen, there's a statement that a lot of leaders make. It is, uh, that you can define who you will be a few years down the road by who's around you right now. So some of y'all, in order to grow, need to clean up your life by just cleaning up who's in your life. Oh, Mortimer Adler. There you go. Thank you, Tiffany S. It's how to read a book. So my boys this summer, two of them will still be working. Mainly because the grade that they made, while it is acceptable to put down on the transcript, it is not the final grade. We don't make the final grade until you've done the work, until you answer the questions. Um, you know, it is what it is. Some of the classes that, um, that they will be doing this summer, they will be doing over jump totally over for a better grade. But you know why it'll be easier the second time? Because they learned a lot the first time. Now I'm just saying this time when you go through it, do the work, make the right decisions, you know. So how to know when you grow? You make an A, you actually make a good decision. The second time is you get a little sick of yourself. The third thing is the people around you change. Okay, know when you grow. Know when you grow. Okay, listen, I love this. Let me, let me find this comment. Cat, because you're brave. She said, I kicked everyone out and now I'm alone because most of my relationships were toxic. So, and this requires a lot of bravery, Kat on YouTube, I am rebuilding from zero. The process sucks, but at least I'm not where I was. Listen, y'all, I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not where I used to be. That's my churchiness coming out. And it's called growing pains. Herbiattitude said that on Facebook— I mean, on Instagram.
It's true.
It's called growing pains. Y'all, my boys, when they start getting all achy and my leg hurts and I'm sleepy and all these different things, and I've checked their temperature and they're eating well and all the things, you know what I tell them? Oh, it's, you'll be all right. It's just growing pains. It's a part of the process of growth. You want to know why so many of us do not grow is because we don't want to go through the process. We don't want to do what it takes to make an A. When we get tired of ourselves, we don't, we don't want to make the effort to change. We feel it, but we don't want to make the effort to change. And then we're comfortable where we are. We're comfortable in the house. We're comfortable with the people. We're comfortable with the processes. We're comfortable with the mess. We're, we're comfortable with being broke. What if the reason why you're not growing is because as much as you complain about it, as much as you talk about it, as much as you whine about it, as much as you stress about it, the truth is you're comfortable where you are. Cause let me tell you what I know to be true. And I know the deck is stacked against some of us, y'all. I know that. I understand financial, um, systemic oppression. I understand cultural drama. I understand, uh, history and knowledge and exposure. I understand that. I understand that. I understand that. But what I need you to understand is that every day of your life, you get to choose. And some of you, some of us We choose to stay comfortable because what it takes to make the change, what it takes to make the change, we just don't want to do it. Let me tell you how you know that there's something in you, it's that it's you that's keeping you from growing. Let me tell you how you know this. The Bible didn't say this. Tony Evans didn't say this. Priscilla Shrivell didn't say this. Shire. Let me— this is me, and if I'm wrong, y'all can call me out on it. But this is what I'm— this is what I'm going to tell you, is because when you see somebody else having what you want to have, when you see somebody else experiencing what you want to experience, when you see somebody else enjoying what you want to enjoy, there is a jealousy, a competitiveness, an envy that will rise up in your spirit because You want what they have. Let me tell you what's different about the person who's working on it. Let me tell you what's different about the person who's striving for it. Let me tell you what's different about the person who's doing the work. They may not have arrived, but they're working on it. When they see somebody that has what they have, when they see somebody that's doing what they want to do, when they see somebody that is experiencing what they experience, they look at their own lives and they can say with confidence, you know what, it's all right, I'm gonna get there, I'm working on it. You can exchange the envy, the jealousy, the competitive spirit for the fact that you can only be responsible for you. And you can say, yeah, she has a marriage made in heaven and I wish mine was like that, but you know what? I'm doing everything in my power to be the wife that God has called me to be, to have the husband that I want him to be. And the only thing I'm gonna do is wait on God. And what she has, what God has done for her, he can do for me. It doesn't— it's not that it doesn't rise up, it's that you have an answer for it. Do you understand what I'm saying? The difference between people who look at other people's lives and go, well, that sucks, that's not fair, why is God favoring her? Why does she get this? Why does— why is it easier for her? What— you know what, the answer to that is what he's doing in you. There's a reality that I can be content with who I am and with what God has given me and with my process for life. Because I believe that God is with me and he's working on me. So whatever he— and y'all listen, you already know this to be true. You, you see somebody else's green grass, you don't know what kind of fertilizer they paid for to put on it. You don't know how often they're out there watering it, and you don't know what kind of crap was in the soil that caused that green stuff to grow like that. So you don't have to envy somebody else's stuff when you know you're fertilizing your own soil. You don't have to envy somebody else's situation when you know you're watering your own. You don't have to be jealous of somebody else's life when you are out there doing the work on yours. Half of the jealousy and the envy that rises up in us, y'all, is because what we're really— what our bodies are telling us, what our mind is telling us, what our souls are telling us is that not only does she have what I want, but I'm not gonna get it. Just just went all the way Texan. I'm not gonna get it because I'm not doing the work. And so you enter into self-condemnation because not only do you want what they have, but you know deep down you're not going to get it. You know how to ensure that what is for you, you are going to get? You want to know how to ensure that? Here's how to ensure it. You ready? It's a secret. I'm gonna let it out of the bag. You ready? Here it is.
Here it is.
I'm gonna say it up close on the microphone because I want to make sure y'all get the message. Okay? I want to make sure y'all hear it loud and clear. You ready? Ready? Want to hear it? Here it go. Do the work. And because I love Jesus, this is what I want to add to that. Let the Holy Spirit work on you. When you sense the Holy Spirit saying, do that, go here, take the chance, go back to school, take the class, learn to manage your money, keep your mouth shut, support and respect your husband, love those kids, go to work, quit the job, drive slower, get dressed, put that down, don't eat that Oreo Thin, do your hair, Clothes speak life to yours. When you feel the Holy Spirit, when you feel that rising up on you and you dismiss it, guess what you're doing? You are dismissing your life. And this is something that I want you to understand, and I wrote about this in She's Still There. Every being on this planet, every single one, is a spiritual being. Every stinking single person on this earth is a spiritual being because we were designed in the image of God. So a lot of people who are talking spiritual things, they don't believe in Jesus. It's because we're spiritual beings, and there are things that are true whether you love Jesus or not. Just, it's true. That's why people can look like, sound like Jesus, and then you're like, they don't believe in Jesus, because there are spiritual truths that are true because we're spiritual beings. So when we talk about like women have a— women having a sixth sense, or people talking about, you know, the universe, you know, worked in my favor, or, you know, I just followed my intuition. Listen, let me tell you something. There are things happening that we cannot see, and we are spiritual beings, and you cannot know Jesus and tap into what's happening in spiritual places. But let me tell you what you can only do when you know Jesus. When you have the Holy Spirit living in you, you can only, only, only, only tap into the right spiritual situation. Because there is war happening in heavenly places. When people say, "The devil made me do it," they not lying. Sometimes it is the devil. Now sometimes it's you. Sometimes you not doing right. But the only way that you can tap into what God wants for your now because of what God knows matters later what God wants to do in you now because of what he wants to see out of you, in you, in eternity, what he is getting you prepared for now because of what he has prepared for you later. The only way you get that level of information is if you know Jesus. You can be spiritual and not know Jesus. Do you understand what I'm saying to you? So what I'm saying to you, how do you get to know Jesus? How do you make sure that you are operating with the full throttle version of yourself and the Holy Spirit's infiltration and power in your life, you gotta know Jesus. So that when it's time to grow, you get the message loud and clear. You understand? A lot of people can grow. A lot of people can do good things. The only way that you know that you are doing the right thing, the Jesus thing, the thing that has to do with what God knows about your future, the only way to tap into that is to know him. How do you know him? You gotta read the Bible. Like, it's that simple. You gotta know Jesus. You gotta read the Bible. You gotta pray. I mean, that's it. So a lot of us, y'all, are trying to get our best life. We're trying to grow, trying to do the thing, but we don't know Jesus. You want to know Jesus? Go to— I'm gonna put this up here because I have this on my website. I'm gonna put this up here so that nobody can ever say Chrystal didn't tell them about Jesus. Because I like to talk about a lot of things. Um, let's see, why won't it let me— oh no, unlock it. Okay, tell me more. There we go. Tell me more. Okay, gotta know Jesus. You have to read the Bible. Okay, and there is a post on my website— we'll put the link in it— where I have 20 ways, 20 ways to read the Bible. And then the third way is you got to pray. You need, you need to pray. In fact, let me see if I can, uh, let me look for something, y'all, because I actually did a whole, um Take this off the screen. I did a whole book. I self-published a whole book about prayer, and then the publisher— you know, we would just take it around when I would speak, and then the publisher said, hey, we'd love to publish this book and take it, um, you know, take it to a broader audience. So that book has been refreshed and revised, and it is coming. It's coming out soon, and I think I have the book trailer I can share with y'all. It'll just take a second. Then I'll come back and I'll answer some questions. Okay. All right. Hold on a minute. All right. Let's see if I can do it. Now, Instagram, I don't know how it's going to show up for you, but I'm going to try. All right. Hold on one second. Let me see. Install system audio. Oh, it may not let me do it. It may not let me play the sound. We see, we'll see.
All right, let me see.
Okay, y'all, so you can't hear the audio, but I will put that link in the comments as well. Sorry, there's a— I'm on a new computer and it won't let me, it won't let me be great. So there's something I had to set up first, but that's okay. You can, uh, I'll put it on my YouTube page too. I'll share that with you today and I'll put the link for you guys to click. Okay. So it's coming. It's coming. I just couldn't share it here today, but it's there. It's there. Okay. Y'all, I will take questions now. I'll be on for a little bit longer. Oh, you know what? Y'all, here's the deal. People tell me when I do not have makeup on, they're like, you look just like your dad. When I have makeup on, they're like, you look just like your mom. I'm grateful to look just like both of them. You know, we all look alike, right? In some regard. I love that. Mary Davis on YouTube, spending time with Jesus killed the fruit flies in my life. The name of the show on TBN, y'all, is Better Together. Better together. Okay, if you're— I see some of y'all asking me about the resources. So basically, let me fix this. If you go to my website, which is simply chrystalhurtz.com, right there on the main page you will see underneath the top picture a place where you can enter your email. Okay, um, when you enter your email, then you are on my list. It takes us a minute, y'all, to finish developing the page, and give us until like Monday or Tuesday because we're running the event this weekend. So you go to the page, you'll see right there everything, a link to the event, you'll see it. And then underneath that there's a box, and when you get in the box, then we will share with you the videos that we have, um, the, the resources from the videos that we've mentioned. Okay, the live event. Okay, so let me, let me repeat this. So there is a live event today Starting today. Okay, and it is over— it's over 35, between 35 and 40 different speakers or encouragers. We're going to start— there's 3, 3 levels. So the main event starts tonight and goes all day tomorrow and tomorrow night. Okay, and then, um, then there's the VIP and that's you get something extra in the morning and you get a digital swag bag. And then there's the summit, which is tonight, all day tomorrow, the extra something in the morning, the digital swag bag, and today summit people, they have sessions that are just for them, speakers and writers. So you can find out more about that event by going to ChrystalEvansHurst.com. And what I was saying earlier is that tonight, tonight's opening session starts at 8:00 PM Central. What we're doing is saying you can come for free. You do have to register, but you can go to chrystalhurst.com/tscfree and you can register. Okay. All right, all right, all right. Tangerine on Facebook says, how can we continue to follow you and know when you're gonna be back on? Well, if you are on Facebook, if you like my page, it should notify you when I'm live. If you're on YouTube and if you subscribe and rung the bell, you got to ring that little bell, it will send you an email when I go live. On Instagram, it should notify you when I go live. So as long as you're following, then you shouldn't have a problem. If you have— I see a lot of questions about the event. If you have questions about signing up, upgrading, a problem, go just email tsc@chrystalevanshurst.com. Alright, alright, yay, yay, yay, yay, yay. Where do I live? I am in the DFW Metroplex. Okay, Raven said, thank you so much, and the question is, is when will the other Inner Circle levels be available? It will open up June 1st through June 3rd, so if you're on my email list, we will email you too. So don't worry about it, we'll give you all the details, but that's the date: June 1st through June 3rd. Alright. Okay. Alright, you're still curious about the blanket behind me. So this was a gift from one of my interns from last year when my mom passed away, which by the way still sounds very, very weird to say. Like, it still does not seem real, but such a sweet gift. So it has pictures of her on it. It's a whole blanket with pictures of my mom. Okay.
All right.
Okay. Jaquita Maiden said, can you keep the QC till May the 25th so we can recap the event? Listen, y'all are like, we gonna make you keep coming back. Y'all are trying. Okay, so wait, 22nd, 23rd, because the 25th is Memorial Day. Y'all gonna get up at 7 AM on Memorial Day? Come on now. Well, we'll see what the Lord says. Listen, I wish I could take credit. What do you use on your face? It's flawless. My mother gave me great skin.
That's all I got.
I mean, you see, I mean, I literally have on my desk right now. This little—
well, where did it go?
I keep lotion everywhere because I hate being dry. Where's my lotion? But my point is, is any old lotion will do. And I use hand lotion on my face, I use soap on my face, Dial. I mean, it just doesn't matter. So sorry, I should totally say I sell Mary Kay or I, you know, be a representative for Rhodenfields or talk about Clinique and do ads on my Instagram, you know, and have people believing it's the product when it's just me. But you know, whatever, it's too much work. I wish I could say that because I've not always been religious about drinking water either. You're asking me about the brand of hibiscus tea that I use, whatever I can find. I mean, I'm getting them usually from like a Whole Foods health food store, you know, Whole Foods or Sprouts, or there's a little market that's near me, but I'm not like brand loyal. It's just— but I'm not getting them from Walmart, um, just because I honestly don't shop at Walmart that much anymore. But, um, it's whatever is in those types of stores. Okay. All right, let me see if there are any questions on Instagram. Are you really going to work on the book or no? Oh, I have to work on the book, my dear. I have a book contract with a book deadline. So yes. Um, you know what, I don't know, Amber, if you're watching, can you tell me where you got this blanket from? Because I don't think it says on here.
Maybe it does.
And I think she just went on Instagram, y'all, and got— I mean, you know, got the pictures from Instagram. Oh wait, let's see. No, it doesn't say. So Amber, if you're still watching, just tell us where you're going. Somebody said that you can have them made on Shutterfly. Shutterfly. Okay. The Sweet Life of Stephanie on YouTube, she said, how do I organize myself to do all the things that God has called me to do? Well, I think most of us, we don't have— we don't— we're not leaving the room for the things that God has called us to do. We're too busy. We don't spend enough time listening to God. We don't spend enough time asking him before we make decisions and for how we spend our time. But I think that you um, you, you have to make room to grow. You know, growth takes space, you know what I'm saying? You know, when you're— when you're— my boys are telling me that they're, that they're having growing pains. I, I know teenage boys need to sleep. They need to sleep. They need room for their bodies to do the work. And you, if you've ever raised teenagers, you know that teenagers, their hormones, like, their body needs energy, fuel, sleep to grow. It's— growth is work. So if you don't have the bandwidth for growth, the room for growth, the space for God to speak to you, I think that's the first thing. But organizing your day— I mean, there are a million— I mean, I did a productivity talk, but there are a million talks about how to be personally productive and get things done. I mean, just start looking at what other people do. Um, there's this website, um, Whoops. Let me see if I can get to it. I used to get these emails every morning. I probably won't be able to find it. Morning routine. Um, let me see if it'll come up real quick for me. But if you just Google morning routine, anybody who's talking about a morning routine is talking about being productive and organized for the day. You can look at, you know, how to get things done, how to be productive, because there's so much content about that. It's called mymorningroutine.com, and all they do is they interview people who have morning routines, like people who are like business owners and creatives, and some like famous personalities, but a lot of people who have figured out how to be productive in their life, and they just interview them. Like, one of the best things in the world, y'all, is reading books because you can learn from people. But the other thing is, y'all, we have the internet, so you are constantly able to look at other people and to say, how do they do things well? Like, don't, don't speak— don't think you got to figure things out yourself, you know? Like, live and look. Eat That Frog. I talked about Eat That Frog. Okay, Dahlia Fraser— Fraser. There's a whole YouTube video where I talked online about homeschool. If you Google, if you search on YouTube for Chrystal Hurst homeschool, it'll come up. So I mentioned a whole lot of things there. My sister-in-law came over and she's telling me she's thinking about homeschooling her kids, or at least one of them. And so she asked me about one curriculum and I spiraled into all the things, and I have used so many different things over the years. Um, but when people are starting, I always say my two starting places, and then you can grow from there because I've iterated from there. But I think two good starting places are My Father's World and Sunlight. My Father's World and Sunlight. I love, love, love, love, love Sunlight. It's a lot of reading with a lot of books. Um, S-O-N But we— that's why I have so many books in my home, is because when we bought the program, we got all— and they— it taught my kids to love reading. My Father's World is a great doable program if you have multiple kids and need everything simplified, and you can't read, you know, all the different books to all the different kids. It makes it super simple to homeschool all of your children together. And then you can, you know, bring Sunlight Down if you can't get to all the books, or bring My Father's World up if you want more books. So that's where I would say to start. All right, a couple more questions and I got to get to work. We got an event today. All right, this is a great question. Becca on YouTube wants to know, and I got to take a couple questions from Instagram. Becca wants to know, um, as a single 30-year-old who's living a life of purity, um, What's my best God-given advice? My best advice if you are 30 trying to live pure is do not question your decision. Do not question your worth. Do not question God's purpose for you. Don't— do not accept a man dating, boyfriend, fiancé, or marriage as a substitute for God's best in you. Whether you get married or not, you are a whole person, and I would say every season that you're in, max the mess out of it. But do not question for not one second, if I'm 30 and I'm being pure and I'm being obedient and I'm doing my best to live out God's given purpose, that because there's not a man and because I'm not having sex that there's something wrong with me. And let me tell you, sex is great, but it is also overrated. Just like most things that we talk about and that we want to do. As soon as we can have as much of it as we want, all of a sudden it's just not as crucial as it was when we couldn't have it. My stomach is so growling, I'm hungry. So do not underestimate and realize, you know, that everything that you get in life comes with a price. Getting married, being married is great, it's great, but it comes with a price. Any major decision that I need to make in my life, I gotta run it by my husband. I mean, it's not a price per se, but it's a reality. And when you're single, you pray about it, you may seek wise counsel when you need it, But you make a decision for your own life. You know, I told my husband, we got married, we got married and I would go on trips with him and he would want me to sit in the hotel room all day until he was ready to, um, you know, until he finished working and could take me out. When I got married, I was almost 30, and I was like, I, I used to take trips by myself, like rent a car by myself, get on a plane by myself. So I, like, we had, when we first got married, because I was like, dude, I don't, I mean, I love you, but I wanna, while you're working, I want to go have fun. I want to walk the streets. I want to check out the restaurant. It was like all of a sudden, you know, it, you know, living with somebody when you are living with somebody, you are enjoying one kind of freedom and releasing another. You have to do what's best for the other person. Ah, Sister Lee on Facebook said sex is a responsibility when you get married. Okay. For those of y'all who want, cause I see somebody asking me, They won a prize. You have to go to info@facebook.com. I mean, Lord Jesus, info@chrystalhurst.com, but only go there if you won. Don't, don't fill up the inbox if you know you didn't win. Sex is a responsibility. Somebody said, I need my married sex. Sorry. And enjoy it. Enjoy it. All right. Somebody said, I'm buying my event tickets now. Thank you so much for QC. It was a lifesaver for me. Okay. I'm trying to find questions on Instagram, trying to answer a couple of questions here. Somebody said, my face is my Jesus primer. How can I overcome being scared of failing if I try? There's no other way through but through. There's no other way to go on to the next thing without going through the current thing. You, you get better at dealing with the fear when you deal with the fear. Like, it's just, there's, there's no other way. There's no other way to learn how to swim except to start swimming. You just gotta dip your face in the water at some point. You understand what I'm saying? Like, you, you, you, you deal with the fear by facing it. Um, we did a whole, um, um, I did a whole episode with Jan Greenwood about dealing with fear and anxiety, so check that out. It's on YouTube. We left that one up. Okay, I'm looking for more. Thank you for your thank yous. I appreciate that.
Thank you.
Thank you, Debbie, for y'all helping me out in these comments.
All right.
Okay. Now y'all who are sending us emails, we are doing our best and it's coming. It's coming. Everybody's going to get on.
Don't worry. Don't worry.
Okay. I see the questions about fear. I think I answered those. Y'all wanna like unplug the headphones. Okay. Okay. Y'all, um, y'all in the sex, y'all. Somebody said, enjoy the sanctified sex. I miss it and tell God every time. She said, I cannot watch love stories and listen to the music without stirring up the fire. I mean, it is true. You got to know what stirs you up and avoid it. There's just certain things, you know, you just got to know what— so if we're talking about trying to stay pure and that you wanted that kind of advice, run, run. That's what the Bible says, run. What would I tell my 19 or 17-year-old self? Don Thomas is asking. Well, I wrote everything I would tell her in a book called Show Up for Your Life. But basically, you get to do this one time, you know. You are worth it. You can do it. God sees you. He loves you. Don't shortchange yourself. Don't do what everybody else is doing. Do what God called you to do. But mainly, enjoy your life. Like, enjoy it. Stay within the boundaries of being obedient to God, but enjoy your life and walk into it knowing that God, um, that God has already given you every bit of worth that you need. You don't need anybody else to affirm your worthiness. You are worthy because God says you are. And so walk like that. Yes, Marie. My husband's about to say, stop it, Chrystal Hurst, again. All right, I'm gonna shut it off now so I can— it's 8:30 and I've been on here for a while, plus Instagram in a second will probably shut me down. Um, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, so the last couple of things I will say is that if you are So I still see people looking. Tonight, the opening event is free. If you already know you want to attend the whole weekend, go ahead and get registered so you don't miss a thing. Okay, you don't want y'all to miss a thing. But tonight, you know, and then pay attention because on all of my social media I'm doing giveaways. We're doing more giveaways and I gave, gave giveaways out this morning. All right. I think I've answered all the questions. I think. Yes. I see your thank yous. Thank you for saying thank you. Yay. And it's not like I will never not ever be on live again. I'm saying that the daily things, or maybe a little much for the other things that I need to get going in my life. And my poor interns, y'all, my poor team, they have just come along for the ride. I mean, making videos, putting stuff on websites, messaging me when I'm on, being on while I'm on, taking notes so that you all can have the stuff in the resources. And this was not a part of our main plan. This, this was not a part of our main plan, but they were like, okay, let's do it, let's do it. And they have been up late and up early because you need to understand, I don't do any of this by myself. Not possible. 100% not possible. Well, not possible to me still be married. Me still be married. Christy, cause I know you and I love you.
Yes.
Tonight is the first thing. If you're VIP, tonight is the first thing. So the only people who have to worry about doing something today during the day are the people who are summit, the speaker and writer people.
Okay.
And again, y'all pray for our technology. If you have any questions after this live about the event, just go to tsc@chrystalevanshurst.com, tsc@chrystalevanshurst.com. But y'all go to the site and at the bottom, read the FAQs. Come on, y'all, because y'all listen, I love y'all, but some of y'all don't read. It's like we answered all the questions. Read the FAQs, look at the website, because we are going to be inundated today with emails and we want to answer them all. But help us out by answering some questions that you can answer yourself. Answer yourself. Same thing if you want to upgrade, email us, blah blah blah. Listen, because this is our last official live our daily live. I want to close this one out by praying for you. Lord Jesus, I just thank you for today. I thank you for this day and everybody who's watching, because it means we are alive. Every day we get to choose, because we have breath that you put in our bodies, we get to choose to live. Would you teach us what it means to nourish our soul so that we can serve you well? Would you teach us what it means to challenge our minds so that we can move forward with— move forward in our purposes The purpose that you have for us was excellence. Would you teach us, God, to be alive in you so that we're not separate from you in the decisions that we make and in the things that we're motivated in, that we are motivated by what we know about you to be true as we get to know you. Lord, I just ask right now that everybody who's listening, whatever is concerning her, whatever is hard, whatever is unexpected, whatever is unfinished, whatever is undone, whatever is disappointing, Lord, I just pray even in this season that you would encourage her, that you that you would give her a kiss from heaven to remind her that even though the thing that she wants to change isn't actually changing the way she'd like it to change, that you are there. Lord, help us to know when we're growing. Help us to be uncomfortable continually failing the lessons. Help us to be uncomfortable having to repeat things. Help us to be sick of ourselves if need be. Lord, help us, help us, help us, because we don't want to come out of corona the same way we went in, and we don't want to live another decade and look back and say we never did anything different, even with all the knowledge that you've given us. So Holy Spirit in us, cause us, empower us, change us so that we can be impactful both for our, our own lives and for the lives of the people that we impact. Lord, help us to be willing to change who's around us if the indication of who's around us is an indication of what we're doing with our lives. Help us to be willing to take risks, do hard things, walk with courage so that we're never the same. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen.
Amen.
All right. All right, y'all. Come see us tonight. Come see us tonight.
Okay.
