Chrystal Hurst shares Anne Lamott's idea that unplugging yourself for a few minutes works like it does for everything else. Pick one small area, like your email inbox or junk drawer, and reset it. That one win clears your head and builds momentum without the overwhelm of a total overhaul.

Anne Lamott says almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. The concept there is everything has a stopping point, including you, your spaces, your thoughts, your habits. And clearing out, hitting the reset button, allows you to take the reflection that you do in looking back and then figure out what you do with it, where it goes. If you need to hit the reset button, just choose one area. Keep it simple. Don't make it deep. Don't set yourself up for failure. You can choose a calendar or closet or an inbox in your email or refrigerator, uh, or a drawer, your junk drawer in your kitchen. Maybe it's the Tupperware cabinet, whatever it is, pick one thing and just do an easy reset.
