Happy holidays. We're almost there. It is November and we are here to do our— Somebody said, let's go!
Oh, that was Joel. Joel said that.
Let's go! We do our annual Christmas collection episode.
It's annual.
This is the fifth year.
Wow.
Yeah, I was looking at the years and I was like, ooh, it's the fifth year. Should we keep going or is this the last one?
No, we should definitely keep going.
That's because you klepto all the gifts. Every time I show gifts, she literally, like for real, like not— she just starts sliding things inside of her onesie, underneath the table, onto the floor.
What do you mean? Where's the problem?
Because these are my— they're like my things.
Your things are my things.
And herein lies the problem. You have girls, you know they take your stuff and then act like it's not your stuff.
Yeah, Ellie, Ellie, I bought a new pair of shoes and just left them around the house, and this morning Ellie woke me up wearing them. She was just walking, she just walked in my room with the platform as if they were hers to wear.
She said, "Good morning, Mom." This is how children break their necks, their ankles. You should tell her not to do that.
I should, but it was cute.
Until you have to take her to the ER. Welcome. If you don't know why you're here, neither do we, actually. This is a whole— do I have chocolate chips in my teeth?
Can I get—
can we get some chocolate chip cookies in here, please? We need some chocolate chip cookies and another Martinelli since we're shouting out orders. Just put it right here. Just Right here.
Thank you.
This is what we do.
Oh, and they're warm.
To celebrate the holidays.
We eat.
And this is why I'm also always wanting to be in a onesie. 'Cause I need room to expand. Thank you so much.
See, a onesie isn't my top choice because you can see the shape.
A muumuu is.
It's the muumuu.
It's the muumuu. And it's muumuus that don't look like muumuus. That people still compliment you on. Did you know that Jude said, my Priscilla's son Jude said, why does Chrissy always wear the same black dress?
That's deep.
Because I'm living my best life.
Let's unpack that.
Why do you always wear the same black dress?
But it's not the same black dress. I have 5 of them that are the same. So How do you feel about that?
I feel amazing. I feel amazing because there's so many other things to do. Let me tell you something. I do have different colors.
Create a capsule wardrobe.
But I have more in black. Like Men in Black, more in black.
Now, why do you think that black is your color of choice?
Because I eat chocolate chip cookies.
Because you are black.
Ellie said I'm not black. She said I'm white. Ellie did say that you're white.
She also said that Roxie's white.
Mm-hmm. That's right.
So we're still trying to teach her the difference between light-skinned people who are Black and white people. But we're working on it.
My oldest son, who's in college, said one day— I was trying to explain to him that he was Black, and he really— he started crying. He said, I'm not Black.
Oh, I remember that.
I'm brown.
I remember that.
Yeah. I said, well, brown people are called Black people. He said, well, why would they do that?
He has a point.
He has a point. I wear black because it's systematic. I like being a black person. What does this have to do with the holidays? Everything. Why does this have something to do with the holidays? I don't know. I'll tell you, I'm going to connect the dots here because I can connect the dots on anything.
Okay, we need to— this is— I need to see what you need to see.
What's happening? Yeah, I wear a black dress all the time because clothing is stressful. Let me tell you what else is stressful.
Somebody said be comfortable, expand.
I appreciate the hit back.
Listen, expand, not expand.
The holidays can also be very stressful for me. So the reason why we started this Christmas collection is because gift giving for some of us is not fun. Like you want to give gifts. Yeah, I'm a terrible gift giver. You want to give good gifts. You don't want to spend a ton of money. But Christmas comes and you want to celebrate. And we know, like, we love Jesus. Jesus is the reason for the season. But unless you have philosophically decided not to put gifts under your tree, You still running around getting things for people. So we started this because it's like my Black mumu. I am comfortable when something is easy rather than hard. And Christmas can be easier if we can throw out some ideas. So I would love to be an influencer. She's an influencer.
Not on purpose.
Give her stuff for free.
Not on purpose. They just give her stuff. No, they don't give me something for free. It costs my time.
See, like I said, they give her stuff for free. And then she uses her time—
anyway, point is, to provide for my family.
The point is, I'm just sharing with y'all things that I actually like and enjoy and that have brought me joy. Um, and so we want to talk a little bit about that. So let's get to it. We have things to talk about.
We could do a whole show about MooMoo.
About MooMoo in the comments. I will say though, Is your husband here yet?
Nope.
Okay, good, because he's probably watching. He's probably watching. Oh, that's true. Well, then I will say this. I will say we're gonna talk to say this about the MooMoo's.
Joel said, "Mom, please give me some cookies." No, Joel.
No, Joel. They're ours. They're all ours. I've shared my body with you. You can't take my cookies too. Okay, that didn't sound good.
I didn't think of it until you said that.
Okay, because I send you home in lots of muumuus, and I don't know if Josh appreciates that.
I have 4 kids, don't I?
Okay. Ew!
Just hike that thing up, you know? That's so gross. I'll take another cookie.
You're nasty.
You had 5!
I did, but they came— it was immaculate conception. It was, I agree. Okay, so the first thing y'all on the list tonight, let's get it started. Drum roll please.
Too busy eating your cookie?
Yeah, okay, here's the first thing y'all. I'm very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very excited I think to share with you, to share with you. You're on that side because you have a job to do. Okay, this is y'all our new planner. So I'm starting with my stuff. I'm starting with my stuff. Okay, this is the plan. You got to open it up, showcase it, all the things. You got to be Vanna White or Vanna Black, either way. Look, you put a finger— brown fingerprint on it. Vanna Tan. Listen, so y'all, here's the deal. People ask me all the time, how do you get stuff done? I have a whole thing that I would do in a spiral notebook, and then I did it in a Moleskine notebook, and I had a system. And people said, how do you do that? So then I drew something out and got a designer to do it, and then we went to a print shop and printed it out, and then we let people have it, and then we bound it, and then we found like a real printer to actually make a thing. So I made a thing, y'all. It's a whole thing. So here's the deal: the planners are, uh, here, but we are letting our inner circle members in first. They get first dibs and they get the best deal. On Thursday, on Thursday, you can grab it, uh, if you are an email subscriber, because we're going to send the email with the link to those people. So you want to make sure you're on my email list, chrystalevanshurst.com. If there are any left, then we're going to send— start talking about it on social media. You can right now go check it out though, okay? You can't buy it, but you can check it out. You can go to thesistercircle.com/planner. thesistercircle.com/planner. And the cool thing is, if you are not in the Inner Circle and you're thinking about it, um, if you decide to be a member that pays annually, you get planner or planners, depending on what level you are, free. So you can find out all about that on the website, thesistercircle.com/planner. Planner. And if you are a member, get it before Wednesday because that's when your deal is up. If you're on my email list, Thursday you'll get your email and there'll be a special discount.
And I think—
look, you got to open it up. Okay, we're doing it. Here we go. So if you, if you're pre-ordering the planner because we're going to send them out after Thanksgiving, then you also get this daily tracker. It's like, this is a 90-day planner That's for your everyday. And we have a little pocket back here so that you can carry both together if you'd like. Y'all, I made a thing! Like, I made a thing and we loaded boxes and boxes of them into my garage.
And if y'all don't buy them, I'll be homeless because I told my husband, oh, please buy them because I will get a phone call that will last for like an afternoon.
I shouldn't have done it. I'm such a failure. Why did I even think I could do that?
I'm begging y'all to buy my mom's stuff.
That's sad. You have to beg them.
I'm begging you to buy my mom's stuff. So that she will be emotionally fine tomorrow.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, moving on.
Ooh, that's a cookie.
That's a cookie. Eat it. Next thing, y'all, we're talking about books. So we're leading out the situation with books. There is a young woman named Jennifer Tucker who back in 2016 was a graphic designer who I met that gave me all the graphics that I needed when I launched She's Still There. If you've never heard me talk about She's Still There, you're dropping things Karis.
I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm a failure. I'm sorry.
This is my life, dropping things. Okay, she's a, she's a talented graphic design artist, y'all, who created a book. It's called Breath as Prayer, and it is beautiful. It's beautiful because she's an artist.
Look at this.
And so if you have someone in your life—
here's the real test to my book smell.
Smell it, smell it.
Hold on. You know how you swish around wine? It's like that.
Yeah, books do have a smell, and it does tell you the value of the binding or the glue. It could be the glue that we're sniffing.
This is a quality book.
Okay, let's see, let's see. Let me, let me see. These are the things I teach my children: smell your books. Yeah, that's a good one though.
It's like a soft scent.
It's like a soft, woody, leathery, foresty kind of thing. If you know someone who is struggling with anxiety or depression or stress, This would be a great gift. And I encourage you, when you give gifts like this that have meaning, like you thought about this when you gave the gift, like give it to them with a note. So it's not just, oh, I gave you a book. It's like, this is what I was thinking of when I gave this book to you. So Jennifer Tucker, really excited about her. Congratulations, my friend. And I know that this is going to be a great gift for so many people who want to give a meaningful gift to their friends. Yes. All right. Moving on. Moving on. Okay, if you don't know who Ruth Jo Simons is, first of all, you need to follow her on Instagram. Everything she does is beautiful. Everything she does is beautiful. She also loves Jesus. She also is a great writer, and she has put all of the things together. Let me tell you about this woman. Not only— you got to show this, got to show the people.
Sorry.
Yes, you have to show the people.
Let's, let's—
she has art prints in her store, greeting cards in her store. Wrapping paper in her store, y'all.
I mean, look how beautiful this is.
It's gorgeous. So this is if you also want to make sure that during the— do I need to sniff that? If you also want to make sure that during the holidays that you are focusing on Jesus, because listen, we are here talking about gifts. We know Jesus is the reason for the season. However, Jesus is the reason for the season. Yeah. Yes, he is. Oh yes, he is. Now Oh, okay. This is beautiful. I mean, from jealous to joyful, like just getting your heart and your mind right for the holidays. Yeah, that was great. Let's do another one. Let's do another one. Let's see. Oh, it's not coming to me. Oh wow, I'm getting the second pages.
Okay, maybe we should—
from isolated to invited. See, that's what I'm talking about.
Is that a preach?
Everybody, everybody in the room went, oh, that'll preach. Okay, all right, next, next, next. We're moving into things that can simplify your life because I believe in making your life simpler. So y'all, you're going to have to tell me what this is. Okay, so you know I like wearing muumus, and one of the reasons why I like wearing muumus— I'm back to muumus— is because I don't want to iron I don't want to think about it. But when y'all, I do things for real, like I have to be presentable. You can't go out into the world wrinkled. So this is a travel steamer.
This is great.
And some of y'all know about steamers, but this is Chi. Like, you know about Chi that you like do your hair with? Well, Chi made a steamer. For your clothes. For your clothes. So it's lightweight. You put the water in here like this. So for someone who travels and doesn't want to be wrinkled and cannot wear their muumuu everywhere, this is a great gift.
And you know what? We were on a cruise.
That someone wouldn't be me. You do wear your muumuu everywhere. But when I go on stage, I don't.
Oh, definitely not.
So we were on a cruise, you know, we went on that ministry cruise.
Yes.
And everybody kept borrowing this.
Really? So it's like, it's powerful.
Uncle Kirk kept coming by to borrow it. Auntie Cilla kept coming by. They were like, where's your steamer?
That's great.
So it works really, really well.
And it does feel very like—
it's very like travel with me.
Yeah.
So great gift.
Good quality is what I was looking for.
Great gift. Great gift.
Okay. Let me tell y'all what this is. My mother, my mother—
This is the best ever! Oh my gosh! This is one of my favorite things. It makes me so happy.
My mother sits in her car.
So happy.
By herself. In the driver's seat.
Yes.
And puts this over her steering wheel.
Yes.
Like, like so.
It goes over like this.
Okay, there we go.
It goes over your steering wheel like this. And you sit there like this. And you can write, you can read, you can put your laptop there. Y'all know y'all done been in your car as an office. You know you done it. Everybody I know has used their car as an office at some point, and you've been trying to take notes, bringing out your book. You know it. And you're trying to use your boobs and your stomach to hold everything. There's no need for that.
Boobs in your stomach, no need for that. I mean, I think that's relatable if I've ever If I've ever heard of that.
The girls in the room are like, we can use our boots.
Kind of like this.
You can if you have the ones that are the size of mine. Listen, all you have to do is lean up. You just lean up on the steering wheel. Just right here. Just right there. There's no need. You don't have a surface. This is on Amazon. Why is she— she's just foolish. This is on Amazon. It's one of my favorite things. And then it has a ledge right here. A space for your pens. Wow.
It's thought of everything. So if you know someone who's a workaholic and who uses time in their car to have a—
The car is an amazing place.
—board, their computer, and they're writing stuff.
The car is an amazing place to be.
That's the gift for them. Because it's isolated. Okay.
But you don't have to be in your car to be a workaholic. Let me show you all the ways.
You can be anywhere.
You can be anywhere. It's a better tool for the workaholic. In your bed, on your desk. In your lounge chair. Y'all are like, you need this, you need this in your life.
I mean, and this is like one of those ergo— oh, it's ergonomic. Is there something that pulls out here?
Yes, yes, because what if you need a mouse?
Ta-da! And did the light just automatically turn on with that? Oh no, no, no, no, no.
What if you need a light?
Look at that. This is technology at its finest. This is technology. Tesla who? No.
And if you don't want to use the light, you can plug your phone in to charge. Listen, the girls in the room, they didn't know. They didn't know I had gifts like this. Listen. Wow. I'm trying to teach y'all something. For the workaholic in your life. Or for the person who just wants to be comfortable while they journal or read.
I'm getting lots of this around the room. That's okay.
Lap desk. Great, great, great. Gift. Now this— okay, wait, wait, we're moving, we're moving from simplifying your life to being in the kitchen. Okay, in the kitchen. Y'all know I love tea, coffee, all the things. Right now I'm drinking, you know, agua, or so we think. But a short ASMR break.
Yeah, that's— oh, that's ASMR.
Let me do it.
I think that was probably the wrong decision. Okay, I think we should move on.
Okay, so I love tea. Um, one of the things that is a fave though is loose leaf tea. If you've never actually Tried loose leaf tea, like not in the bag, but like loose. It's a whole different flavor situation.
Loose leaf tea.
But when you get loose leaf tea, exactly, nobody gets it because they don't know what to do with all the leaves. That's true. So here's what you do with all the leaves. You need a strainer. Okay. All different kinds, but this cup right here comes with the strainer. So you put your loose leaf tea in here and then because you want to steep it and keep it hot. Okay. Wow.
Now how long do you think you'd have to steep it?
Oh, 10 minutes. Are you a long steeper or a—
Or a dabber.
You know, with this, it's a long steep. You just leave it. You just leave it. But you take it out before you drink.
I've never done the whole loose leaf tea thing.
It changes your life. So like, you remember when Teavana used to be at the mall? I do. Okay, that's because they had loose leaves. They had loose leaves because loose leaves are a different level of tea drinking.
I'm not at that level yet, but for people who are tea drinkers, it makes sense.
Let me tell you something. Let me tell you how you really know you've arrived in your life. Are you ready? You know you've arrived in your life when you can grow something in your backyard, dry it out, and then put that in there and drink it. Now you gotta, you gotta have the right things in your backyard now, okay? So do your homework, do your research, okay? Now, but if you—
Ellie brought in some mushrooms the other day. I'm not saying I should try it, but I do have the fools, it seems.
What kind of mushrooms?
Let's find out. Let's find out together.
Don't allow her to influence you. She's not right in the head. But if you don't drink loose leaf tea, you should try it. And for the tea connoisseur in your life, they will really appreciate that. Okay, in the kitchen. You ready to eat? Always. Okay, so y'all, gifts don't have to be like things that like, you know, it could just be, it could be consumable. Gifts can be consumable. So you need to get this for Josh.
He loves this kind of popcorn.
Is he here? Is he watching? He's watching. Joshua! Josh, are you here? No, he's not here. You can comment if you're here and if this is what you want. Don't let her tell me to get you stuff that's really for her. I need to hear that from your mouth.
Oh no, no, no. This is certainly for him.
Okay. I don't know what all these are.
You can taste them and find out. I'm afraid. Let's do a taste test.
I know this right here. I know cheese. I'm good with cheese.
On your popcorn? What? I feel like this is a very, like, niche item. Cheddar and what? Make sure that the person you get this gift from likes popcorn with stuff on it.
How do I know the difference between the caramel and the macadamia nut?
It has a nut. Oh, there's nuts in it.
I see a nut. I see a nut. There's nuts in it. Yes, she's so crass. Nonnie would not approve.
I'm a married woman, excuse me. Gross. Anyway, with 4 children. Mm-mm, I'm not a popcorn person like that. You're not? I like lots of butter on my popcorn and salt.
The way I made it for you.
And the movies.
The way I made it for you.
Let me tell you about Butter Pop.
Butter Pop, she ate it and she liked it. You make your popcorn at home the way you want it, and then you put it in a Ziploc bag. Yeah, Joel likes it.
He said, "Hey, yo!" I'm gonna be Joel's mouthpiece for all the things that he comments. "Hey, yo!" That's what Joel just said.
So consumable gifts, y'all. There is a lady in our church. I always get her microwave popcorn and Coke. And she's so happy because she has a bag of popcorn and Coke before she goes to bed 4 or 5 nights a week. And she would much rather have that than that. Yeah, you can get somebody a roll of cookie dough. You have to keep it on ice though.
You have to keep it on ice. Yeah, how would we package that?
I'm not exactly sure, but you can get it for me and I'll tell you how. Okay. Garrett's popcorn. Great.
All right, we have a crank. We have a crank.
No, no, no. Your children love this. Okay. This is— Oh, it's an apple peeler. Okay. This seems so like not Christmas, but it is. Let me tell you why. Because—
Can we demonstrate? Yes, we can.
Be careful. I don't want to poke you.
I don't know how to do this. Which side? Huh? Which side? You stick it right here.
Can y'all see?
Yeah, they can see.
Lift it up a little bit. I'm gonna stick it in here like this. Okay. Okay. All right.
Wait a minute.
It's not working. I think we had to set something. Oh wait, wait. Nope. Hold on. It's juicy.
Let's just trust us. Hold on. It will peel your apples.
Yeah, but now I wanna figure it out.
Don't do it. Don't do it. Just— Have you used it? I have used it. Oh, okay. So what it does apparently—
no, I don't know how to do it. I did it already though. I'm, I'm smart. Is this supposed to— you're gonna figure this out for me and figure it's, it's a thing where it's supposed to be here, supposed to be on the inside.
What's supposed to be on the inside? The apple.
Oh, but I can't remember how you get the apple This is a terrible demonstration.
This is a terrible demonstration. We're gonna hand it off. We're gonna hand it off.
Yeah, we're gonna figure it out because you need to know. I have seen it done. I did it with her kids and they thought it was amazing.
With her kids like they aren't her grandkids. Let's say what they are, your grandmother with her grandchildren. But here's the deal.
The deal is your children will tell you that they can't pare an apple Or you maybe want them to be careful using the knife. So this way you just stick the apple on and they think it's so much fun. They do. But you really need to see it because, yeah. Anyway. Okay, next. We'll come back to it because you will see it. You will understand.
You will be a believer. Personalization.
Okay, so what are we still on? We're on— oh, we're on home office. Home office. Okay, y'all, believe it or not, these came from Amazon. Really? Yes. I got like a bunch of monogrammed— it's so sad. It's so sad. So I'm a mom and pop shopper. But Amazon is great as well. Okay. Yeah. So I bought these, y'all. You could pick your letter. They had different designs. I picked— are there different— my initials? Yes, there were different fonts. There were multiple. I had multiple monogrammed. Yeah, I bought like 3 different versions of monogram note cards. So it's a good gift. It's a great thoughtful gift. Yeah. And they come, they come fairly quick. Love them. And here's the best part. I have figured out, I mean, I handwrite notes, but you can also like run these through your printer. So if you have a bunch of cards to go through, you can like put your message on there and then put a personal note. It's a good idea. Yeah. So monogram note cards, you don't have to go to the fancy, fancy store to get them. You can go on Amazon and get those. Okay, we figured it out. Nope. Oh yeah, so you put— there you go, there you go. Okay. So let's keep going.
We're gonna— oh, we're not gonna do the—
oh, we're gonna go back. Well, I don't want to do it around this.
Here we go.
Okay. All right, we're gonna come back to cards and things. I'm gonna let you do it because you're gonna let me do it.
I don't understand. Okay.
All right, so what— how did you do it? Pull it. Oh, pull? No, no, push the silver lever.
Oh, right where Chrystal's hand— oh, push it. Your index finger. Yeah, pull it. Nope, go down.
Push this. Oh, oh, there we go. Now put the apple on it. Which way? Right here. Don't kill yourself. Go push, push. Oh, I'm pushing. Push, push.
Use the paper plate. Okay.
All right, so we won't— okay. All right, you ready?
Yes.
Push, push the lever back. Everybody's trying to help me and it's still not working. There's 12 people in here trying to explain how to use this. Push it back in. Push. There we go.
Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. We have to put the—
there we go. Okay, we're ready. And can you hold it up? Okay. This is amazing. All right.
Oh, and we have a peel, ladies and gentlemen.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, 'cause you have to see what it really does. Spiralizes it. Yes, it makes an apple potato.
So look. Oh, a spiral.
Oh, so then I thought we were peeling the apple. Well, you can. I think there's a setting. Let's see. There is. You can peel it.
That— how fun. Anyway, so pretty much, who would that be?
We figured it out. Who would you get that for? You know what, um, I enjoyed it. I bought it— I bought it for me to do with the kids. How often have you used it? Um, I've used it 3 times. I've used it twice with your kids and once with mine.
You don't say. You've used it 3 times. I wouldn't have guessed.
I like it.
Next! And they—
what we just did, they said, whoa! That's what they did too.
Yeah, she's right.
So moving on, back to Home and Office. So y'all, this is from Tiffany Grimes, who is the maker, okay, the maker. This woman, a small business, Black-owned small business, of these cards, posterity— posterity cards, posterity, posterity paper, paper. And she follows me on Instagram and she was like, can I just send you some stuff? This was a while back. Y'all, her stuff is amazing. Her cards are amazing. These are super— paper is great. The words are great. Look at this. The designs are great.
Not You Has Got This. I need it.
I need to get a card like this. So this is great for you to just have because it's, you know, have you ever just tried to find a card with the right words?
You're the Naomi to my Ruth.
Listen, I mean like that. Who writes a card like that? Okay. And also, and oh, what?
Thanks so much. That would send you back. And you're a seamstress.
Very unique cards. And also you're supporting a small business. And also they are very, very—
What had happened was, this is your apology card. What had happened was I remembered your birthday, but I forgot to send a card.
This is what— guess what you want to know? Genius! You want to know what you're getting for Christmas? Yes, sure. My presence is your present.
Oh, thanks. Black don't crack. No, it don't. No, it don't. She's 70. Amazing, isn't it?
Yes. So not only do we have these, but There are thank you card kits. Thank you for holding me down. I mean, y'all, these are really good cards. And if you don't follow her on Instagram, you totally should follow her. Great stocking stuff for gifts.
There we go. Yes, good stuff.
Couple other things for home we want to show you. Okay, so this is Buff City Soap, and we're going to show you laundry detergent stuff, but get it for yourself or other people because she also sells— they also have body care products, but it's all natural stuff and it smells—
for those of you who aren't in the inner circle, I will just introduce you to this Project Balls, or the product Balls, Dry Balls. Continue. And this laundry soap, woo, it's amazing. It's really good. It smells magical.
Okay, soap. It smells so good. Oh, goodness gracious. Anyway, they have all kinds of stuff. So good. You can go on their website, Buff City Soap, and get body care products. It's like Bath and Body but natural stuff. And also the smells are amazing. Like, it's very, very potent. Can y'all hear that? Did that come in there? Was that in there? You doing ASMR again?
I don't know if you can hear that part.
Are you infatuated with ASMR stuff?
Kind of, I think I am.
Did you see the lady who was eating the crab legs? No. She had man hands. No, I did not. She had man hands and she would get the— and the whole thing is she had a mic like this and she would reach and grab it It'd be dripping grease and then she would take it in her hands and break it and then she would like intentionally make— you're having issues over here— intentionally make like— if you have never heard of what we're talking about, just go on Instagram and search for the hashtag ASMR. You're either gonna love it or you're gonna hate it. You used to want to eat laundry detergent, didn't you?
Yep, when I had pica with JT.
Here she goes. Taking things.
I don't know what you're talking about.
And then you want to know why Ellie does that mess. Oh, we're bringing our children into this.
We're bringing our children into this.
I'm just saying, you know, the apple doesn't fall far. Doesn't it though? And the generous— Doesn't it though? I don't steal. I don't steal. I do other things, but I don't steal. I don't steal either.
You're stealing right now.
I'm borrowing it. See if I get it back. Buff City Soap, y'all, check them out. Go online. We have like how many stores around here? Buff City Balls. I had never heard of Buff City, and then they messaged me and asked me to send some stuff, and I was amazed. I was amazed. So body care, laundry care. Take a pair out. Okay, never mind.
I'm done. I'll stop. Oh, I thought that was peak, peak comedy right there. Oh, I need a napkin so I can dry my tears because that was hilarious.
So are we doing the other one too or just this one? We're gonna do both? Okay.
Oh, are they a part of this?
So y'all, there, there, there, there are 3 people on this, on this, on this watching this right now. There's 3, 3 categories. They said stop being sus. One of them are people who could care less about essential oils. You don't care, you don't want to know, you're sick of all the people in your life who do care. I'm not talking to you. The other 2 groups of people, you are either a Young Living person or you're a doTERRA person. It's like an Apple or Android conversation. It really is. Young Living's the best. Yeah. So anyway, long time ago, I got sucked into Young Living. Actually, here's what happened. I tried to tell my family, my mother, my sister, my daughter about Young Living. Got to be 10 years ago. More than that.
She was on the train first. I did everything.
I was growing tomatoes. Yeah, I was baking bread. I was cloth diapering. All the things. And everybody said, why you got to be all natural like that? Why you got to do—
why you got to do all that? Yeah, everybody used to make fun of you for it.
They used to make fun of me. And then guess what happened? Chrystal Hurst, guess what we discovered? There's this stuff called Young Living.
And you were like, uh, yeah, you should have stuck with it. You could have been at the top of the pyramid.
I could have been at the top of the pyramid. I could have been. At the top. But I didn't. I listened to them. I don't listen to them anymore. So anyway, there's a couple of things. I have a little store with my wishlist of some of my favorite things. What I have in my hands right here is Purification and Thieves. We have this as a cleaner too.
That lotion right there will heal everything. Really? Because I have a cut. Let's see.
It will heal everything.
Everything.
Okay. Alright. It smells great. That's number one. But it actually heals everything. So those of y'all who have bottom of your feet issues or you have super, super dry skin, very, very, very dry skin, like they have lots of lotions, but this one right here heals everything. Everything. That's all I can say. Oh my gosh, what is that? Okay. I went to Disney World with a friend of mine. This is a Young Living thing too. It's called Nitro. Okay. What does it do? I went to Young Living with— I mean, I went to Disney World with a friend. She said, "You want one of these?" And she gave me a couple of them. So basically, you just pop it and drink it. And it's like a straight B12 shot.
Well, let's go! Chug, chug, chug! No, I'm just kidding. You go first. Go ahead. Like the whole thing?
Just drink it. Just put it on your mouth and suck. Move it around. Move it around. Move it around.
Move it around. That's you.
That's you. It's not, it's not my thing. It's just cherry. It tastes like cherry.
But it, no, it does taste like cherry.
It tastes like cherry. Yeah. It like almost exactly like cherry.
Anyway, like seriously, I kind of took this from her. Does it give you energy?
100%. 100%. It's just like a shot of B12. And years ago I used to go to this place where I would get like juice, juices, like juice stuff, and they would say, do you want to add a shot of B12? And I would say sure. But that's just the straight shot of B12. So we get lots of things from there. Um, my dad last week was sick. I gave him— we had this, uh, a couple weeks ago. It's this thing called Inner Defense. When any of us start getting any kind of sniffles, we load up on that and it's gone. It's just gone. So I'm a fan, I'm a fan. I'm not a scheme fan, but I am a fan. Was that targeted? Because you said I was, I would have been at the top of the scheme. Oh well, okay. But there have been times, y'all, where I have bought oils from other companies, other places, and This company is the artistry of essential oils. And they sell lots of things. Candles.
You know, I wish they had like a smell option.
Body scrub.
Over the computer.
Over the computer. Remember when they had the scratch and sniff with the stickers and stuff?
We need a computer version. I said this during the Inner Circle pre-show.
Yeah, we had a pre-show.
This smells like if your husband used your body wash, but he still smelled manly.
Why is everybody in the room going, "Mmm"?
Everybody said, "Mmm," because you know what that smells like.
Yes. Keywords, your husband. Okay. Okay. Stop it. Stop it. Okay. So you have some oils here. So this company is great. But also, isn't this cute? Like, you can put your oils to go. Oh, that's interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Can we? Can we? —don't stop.
Especially as a mom, to have your little oil mixes like kind of like in your pouch. Can I switch the order?
I know that later we're talking about the car diffuser. Can I have that now? Because I think this would be great. Oh, wow. So Michelle, my friend Shelley, y'all, I've talked about her all the time. She just ended her apartment lease and bought an RV. She's amazing. She's living in an RV. She has her little succulent plants at the front. She has her bed in the back. Her kitchen. She's living in an RV, living her best life. She's living the dream. But when I got in her RV, y'all, she had a car diffuser, like a diffuser for your car.
I need that because right now my car smells like sour milk because I have kids.
Yeah, well, yes, but I mean, like, we do all these things to make our cars smell good. So whether you get your oils from Young Living, doTERRA, whatever, we'll share the links to all the things we're talking about in our downloadable gift. Is it already hooked up on the back of the website? Is it hooked? You can— I should have said this at first. Everything we're talking about, you can get from Chrystal. The links to chrystalevanshurst.com. Look, the picture even shows rose petals coming out. /myfaves, okay? My faves. So I'm a fan of diffusers because actually, okay, so a guy came to my house one time. He was an appliance guy, and I was burning a candle, and he just said, do you always burn a candle? I burn a candle all the time. He said, you burn a candle all the time? I said, yeah. He said, um, what kind of candle is that? Is that or whatever. I said, I don't know. He said, and honestly, it doesn't—
candle connoisseur.
He said, it doesn't matter. He said, because what we realized is so much of the soot, like the residue, like in your air ducts, he said, and in your body come from burning candles because that soot goes somewhere. Yes. He said, so do you use oils? And I said, I do. He said, burn the oils more than you burn the candles. Wow. So we, my, one of my children, Joel's job every morning is to turn on the music and to give me some smells. That's what I say. Give me some smells.
Give me some smells.
So I want to encourage you to use essential oils for help and healing. And then if you want to do it in your car, this is on my Amazon list. All right. So all the things. Great. All the things. All right. So I moved out of the order a little bit. Now let's talk about deodorant. Why would you give somebody deodorant?
Basically you're saying, here you go, you're funky.
No. So can you— No. Let me tell you what you're gonna say. Let me tell you what you're gonna say. What else is in that box?
Merry Christmas, you funkster. No.
Merry Christmas, you stink, girl. You need some deodorant. No, no, no, no. To me, I'm assuming that if I'm gonna give somebody natural deodorant for Christmas, it's because—
Merry Christmas, you're chemical ratted. Deodorant is not cutting it for you.
No, no. So try this. I'm assuming that you're going to give someone deodorant for Christmas who you know already likes natural things. And a lot of the time when you go get natural deodorants, they're like the crystals and stuff like that. Can I use this or we're going to give this to somebody? Don't use it.
Oh, it smells so good. Right.
Because a lot of the natural stuff doesn't always— it doesn't even have a smell. Does it work though?
Have you used this? I—
this is what natural deodorants will do, okay? Natural deodorants, what they do is they do not stop you from perspiring. They just neutralize the smell. That's the whole point of that.
They neutralize the smell. They neutralize the smell.
I can work with that. But they usually, a lot of them don't have smell on top of that. These have great smell on top of it. These smell really good.
It smells really good.
So if you know, if you're a natural person or you're like, I've heard about natural deodorants, maybe you wanna try it.
Let me just try this smell. It smells like butter, maybe some kind of like almondy butter, like a soft floured—
No, you didn't smell this one. This is my favorite right here. She sent us other samples. So this is Natural Tones Company.
I'm not as good at this smell thing as I thought I was. It's a female-run company.
These are 100% natural.
Are these like travel? You can't pull them open.
No, you can't. Here we go. Yeah, pull from the bottom. Okay. Okay. Smell this one. Ooh. Smell this one.
Okay. Let me clear my palate. Whoa, that smells like a Flowerbomb. Yeah, I want my armpits to smell like a Flowerbomb. Yes. Merry Christmas. Your armpits should smell much more like Flowerbomb than they do right now.
Because they don't smell like Flowerbomb right now. This says Merry Christmas, I know what you like. And I got a very, very specific and thoughtful gift that you would not have found on your own.
That's true. Or like a great stocking stuffer too.
It's a great stocking stuffer. Or like, if you know, like, think about it for a second. It's like, seriously, like if you know somebody that's sick and they're trying to stay away from chemical stuff. Yes. I'm just saying. Yes. But I also might be giving it to you because you stink.
That's what I've been trying to say this whole time. No.
I'm talking about you.
I smell like flower petals.
You smell like sour milk. Okay, so here we go.
Well, I do need to pump, so it could be the dripping of—
Somebody's gonna want— what does it have? It has arrowroot powder, coconut oil, coconut cocoa butter, diatomaceous earth, beeswax, volcanic ash, vitamin E, essential oils, around-the-clock odor protection. Volcanic ash.
Now I just want to know how they collected that.
Somebody has a volcanic ash company on the island of Kona and sends volcanic ash to all the people who need it in their products.
That's somebody's job. I want to know what the volcanic ash does for the product.
Soak stuff up? It just seems like ash soaks stuff up. Ooh wee. That candle is amazing. Oh my goodness. This is Bridgewater Candles, y'all. When we talk about natural things, burn this in your house. Someone gave—
clog up every single one of your ducts because it's like this.
Someone gave me this as a gift just this week. And when she gave it to me, first of all, it smells amazing. But when she gave it to me, look, it even says on the lid. Wow. It says, sweet, it says this, when you buy this candle, 3 meals are provided. So it is a company that makes beautiful smelling candles. But what they do, every candle sold, gives a meal to 3 children overseas. So, so far, almost 14 million children— wow, 14 million meals have been provided. So yeah, so then back in some way. Yep, yep. And so again, thoughtful gifts that are purposeful or that serve some kind of way instead of it just being something random. You're taking things again. It's just not funny.
I don't know what you're talking about. And if you keep accusing me of stealing, I will walk out.
I don't know what you're talking about. See, look, Almira Robinson said, we're back on the deodorant, great idea. When I was going through my cancer journey, that would have been a great gift because I had to have everything natural with no scents.
See, that's great.
Yeah, they have whole discussions right now talking about the underarm situation. Y'all, when she unzips that onesie to take it off. Are you showing the comments that do like show/hide? You're trying to, okay. All right, let's talk about Refresh. Now the last time I talked about this body butter, you went and had a baby. Seriously, last year December, we talked about this body butter, you stole that too, and it got you a baby.
It's so good. I don't know if it was the body butter that did it, but it definitely probably helped.
It's so, it's so great.
It's stupid. Look at my skin.
So here's the deal, y'all. Oh my gosh. Someone gave me body butter from a lady who made great stuff. Oh my goodness. It is literally like— I asked her to make a scent for me and this is the scent that she came up with. So it's Refresh. We do not sell it all year round. This is in my store. We don't sell it all year round because the consistency, it needs to be cool outside for me to mail it to you.
Because otherwise it'll arrive to you like looking like olive oil.
Yeah. So we sell it only during the holiday season and we're stocking up. We may even be adding a couple of other scents, male scents. Garden. Mail scents? Ooh. I didn't bring that one because I knew you would steal it. Anyway. These accusations that you're rolling out are outrageous. I have lived with you all of your life. And as an adult, you have not gotten rid of the taking syndrome. Stealing if it belongs to you. You need to scoot over. What belongs to you belongs to me. That's not how this works. Yes, it is. Especially after you're an adult.
Especially when I'm an adult.
How would you feel if I came over to your house, just walked in your bathroom, which I never do, went under your cabinet and just took some of your lotion. See, see why?
You're my mom. I'm your daughter.
Someone asked if y'all are sisters.
Yes. No, she's 50.
Thank you, I receive that. People do that all the time. You took me— what? No, I took you out for your birthday and the lady said And the lady said, "What are we here celebrating?" And we said, I said, "It's my daughter's birthday." And she said, "Your daughter?" I said, "Yes." She did.
This is a true story.
She said, "I cannot believe that." She just stood there with her mouth open, agape.
Just like that, yep. Listen. I never know how to take that. Like, do I look old? No, I just look young. You know?
And I'm fun-loving. Okay. And I'm— I don't— You're fun-loving?
You are fun-loving. I agree, she is super fun-loving.
All right, let's move on. We're gonna move into the tech zone.
This is your area of expertise. Whoa, what kind of keyboard is this?
So this is how this happened, y'all. The girls in the office said, okay, is it one at a time? This is what happened. The girls in the office said, this is their laptops, this is them.
The hunchbacks of the future, hunchbacks.
So one of the girls said, um, this is exactly how she said it, um, um, um.
They're pointing fingers at each other right now. I just see fingers pointed across the room. Would it be possible—
would it be possible for us to maybe get some computer stands? Because it's really— it's really ergonomically incorrect for us to be— ergonomically incorrect? So you take your laptop— for those of y'all who wonder why your neck and your back are hurting, you take your laptop and you put it here so that you can keep your, your body in line. So this is a stand on my Amazon.
It's like solid if you're working at home.
Oh yeah, and then, then you can change it. Like, look, it's hard, but you can change the angle. Oh, you can stand it up. Wow. Yeah. So for those of y'all who are working at home and wondering why your L4 and L5 are out of whack, maybe you don't need to go to the chiropractor. Maybe you just need to get a computer stand to help your back do right. Okay. And then, and then, oh, all the things. Is this on there too? Get yourself an extra keyboard and a mouse. Okay.
Okay. This is why. What is this?
I love this so much. You ready? Okay, ready to hear it? Here it go. My husband is asleep tonight. I don't want to wake him up, but I still want to read this evening, so I'm just going to make sure that I keep the light localized. I did not know what direction we were going in with that.
That makes sense now.
Oh wait, I'm on a plane and that little light right there isn't actually meeting my needs. I don't want to force my neighbor's light to shine on my book and I don't have a window seat so I can't get the daylight.
This is a gift for the bookworm in your life.
It is.
This is a gift for the bookworm in your life.
It has a 30-minute timer, so if you fall asleep with it on, it'll go off. You would know. You can adjust it to varying degrees.
This is how my mom falls asleep every night.
Or, or this is it. She literally has—
I have a series of pictures.
A series of photos in her phone of her like this, and I have threatened her with an extension of her life.
In different countries all over the world, I have her like this. In the Bahamas, I have her like this. In London, I have her like this. At home, I have her like this. At my house, everywhere, everywhere. So if, if you have a bookworm in your life, if you have a bookworm in your life, this is the perfect gift because it has a timer. So when they fall asleep like this, their light will automatically turn off. Who knew?
Okay, there you go. So it's about that time for me to get an Apple Watch. I've been wanting—
it's time. Josh said I'm killing it.
Was he talking to you or to me? Definitely me.
He likes me better than he likes her. She's right.
He just hasn't told her yet.
She's right. I know that they like each other.
I should have loaded up that photo. Taking my stuff. I did that. Oh gosh. Okay. Lord Jesus. Okay. I do. He, when he came over, we had a business meeting and I took a photo of us together strictly for purpose to send to you. I had that on my phone. Ridiculous. Put those photos of me in the world. I got some photos for you too. Ridiculous. But y'all, as much as I love Apple Watch, all of my running exercise people say that you really actually don't have an exercise watch until you have a Garmin watch. So I bought a Garmin watch.. And I'm actually enjoying it because it's amazing to have a watch that doesn't notify you of every single text. What does it do? So I've heard one, that it's more accurate. Okay. Two, it has a GPS on it so you can run with it. I mean, it's a lot of the same things like a Nike watch would have, but also it has like, you can cycle and it'll measure cycle. Like Nike couldn't, I mean, Apple Watches couldn't measure cycling. Can measure lots of different exercises. So if someone is not an Apple Watch person, they're not an Apple Watch person, and they're an exercise person, a running person, Garmin watches are a great option.
And isn't it cute? It's cute. It's very cute.
Can play music, the whole nine yards. Hmm, it fits. Wow.
I'm just gonna wear it. I just want to test it out. I'm just gonna test it out.
That's what Ellie had said. Okay.
I don't know why we keep bringing my child into this. Because— I feel personally attacked on her behalf.
Huh? Ellie's watching. So we—
Ellie is— Hi, Ellie Belly! Hi, Ellie!
Hi, Ellie! You know what? Listen. You are such a delightful child.
You are. I love you the most.
And we want you to grow up to be a woman of God. So if you ever feel like you're looking at your mother and she is not doing godly things, don't emulate her, okay? You come to me or you come to your father. Tell Ellie to turn this off. You have permission to tell your mother, mother, what you're doing is is not godly. And Chrissy said that I have to be godly because you don't want to follow anybody that's not being godly.
Chrissy also told me yesterday that she was going to homeschool you, so I'm going to send you to her house and she will homeschool you. Wouldn't that be fun?
When you come to my house though, we peel apples all day long.
What?
That's a part of the school.
I'm gonna bring you some cookies.
Count them, Ellie, because she might not bring them all home for you.
Oh my God, and I'm definitely not bringing them all home for you.
You can have like one. Okay, moving on. Okay, great. So y'all, you know I have a fetish with microphones. It's a fetish. A microphone fetish. It's officially a fetish. It's mainly because I love high quality in general. So I had— I had— hi, JT!
Hi, buddy!
I had a microphone. I had a microphone, y'all, I used for like 5 or 6 years, and then because I changed locations, the, the microphone didn't work with the room anymore. So I've been on this microphone hunt, y'all. These, these microphones are pretty good. They're pretty good. But let me tell you about this one that I have absolutely fallen in love with. Fall in love with. Everybody says, for those of y'all who are like audio digital podcaster people, you probably know the Shure SM7B because everybody in the world uses that one. Joe Rogan, all these people. But everybody has one. I'm kind of rebellious. I don't like doing what everybody else does. So I called a company and said, I called this company called Sweetwater who sells audio products, and they sent me to a company called Earthworks. Y'all, this microphone is my new favorite thing. It not only sounds amazing, this is made of stainless steel. It is made wonderfully. And if you are serious or know someone who is serious in your life about podcasting, reading their own books, broadcast microphone, this is amazing. This one, the last time— it's a $700 mic, y'all. But it's at Sweetwater for 50% off right now. And they have been having it 50% off for a while. I love a good sale. There's a black one and a silver one, and the silver one is the one that's on sale. But it's heavy. Just tell your husband it was on sale. Just tell your husband. Does that work, Josh? No. Okay, so because people are always asking, Chrystal, tell us about your tech. This one is great. This is an AT2040. For those of y'all who wanna know, but this sound right here, this sound right here is amazing. It's poppin'. It's poppin'. XLR cables. It's called the Earthworks Ethos. They've got a few different mics. That's the Earthworks Ethos. Great. Okay, moving on, moving on.
All right, it's time for Karris's Corner. Okay.
Go ahead, what do you have?
All right, oh, we don't have it all made up, but this is a fantastic poster.
You turned it upside down.
Whoops. Teamwork. Yes, and yes, and it comes with a wooden—
what would you call that? Like a scroll holder.
It is a scroll holder, and you can hear me, shit. Yep, and you can hang it from your wall. —So it is fantastic decor. Oh, people can't see this.
There we go. We have a picture.
Beautiful. I love a good poster, and this is just like a new way to do it. This is a new way to like have words on your wall.
What does that one say?
This one says, "I have seen the glory of God." You know what?
I will say this. One of the best ways for us as a family that we had principles, truths, or straight-up scripture in our mind is that it was around our house. Like, they was just on the wall. My mother would just put God's words on the wall, affirming words about who we were on the wall, who we were as a family on the wall, because it's amazing what will happen in your head just because you walked by it. So, whether you get a big old poster like that, but consider that, like, just giving someone meaningful words to put in their office, to put on their wall, to encourage them. Just thinking along those lines. Those are really good gifts. They're simple and go to a lot of different places. But what was the name of that company? Janessa Waites. Janessa Waites. And this is professional hand lettering. She believes that encouragement and truth have the power to change the way we live. She started hand lettering as a hobby, and now this is a full online business selling art prints, journals, and home decor. And a portion of her proceeds goes to support missionaries. She's a fellow podcaster. And so if you want to support a small business owner and also have something that supports other people doing good work, then check that out. All right. Oh my gosh, this is my new favorite.
I wear this everywhere. It is a fanny pack. I never thought Why are you excited about a fanny pack? Yeah, I never thought I'd be a fanny pack wearer, but I'm a fanny pack wearer. But this one is specific for mothers.
How is a fanny pack specific?
Because it has a diaper changing pad right there in the back.
Literally, I mean, it's fantastic. This is from Stork?
Stork, yes. They have great mom's basics as well, just like clothing you can wear. But I love this. Perfect. I use it for myself, but also like there's plenty of space for diapers and wipes. I usually keep like my ChapStick in the front. I've put this on my own stories because it's fantastic, and you can also wear it like a regular fanny pack as well, which I've done.
Like, I thought fanny packs were like for old people, like, you know, like the trip, well, like the bus trip with the senior citizens and everybody wears a fanny pack and tennis shoes. So are fanny packs an in thing?
If the shoe fits, if the fanny fits. Wear it.
Like it's an in thing to have a fanny pack.
And the fact that you don't know, the fact that you don't know means I'm 50. Scoot over. Oh, we need to scoot over?
You keep pushing me. Okay, more children. The Solly baby wrap. Okay, I can still have a baby. Did you know that in Utah Did you know that in Utah, a 56-year-old mother just was the surrogate for her daughter? It's true. It's true. So go ahead, tell us about that, 'cause I might need it soon. Next. Immaculate conception.
Anyway, so this is a Solly Baby Wrap, okay? I have— I love lots of different wraps. This is one of my favorite. It really is kind of just like a long, really soft, like piece of fabric.
I have a question. But why do you have to buy a piece of fabric to hold your baby? Like, why can't you just go to like Joann's and buy some fabric? Like, why do you have to buy a baby wrap from a company?
You could go to Joann's, but this just cuts out the middleman because then you have to make it. You have to cut it down to size. You have to make sure that it's like just the right amount of stretchiness, but not too stretchy. It's too much work.
It's too much work to do that.
So this Solly Baby Wrap, you basically just like wrap it around yourself in a kind of way you can find it on YouTube. How do you know your baby's not gonna fall out?
You don't.
You don't. You just cross your fingers and hope that they stay in. But no, there is a special way that you wrap it that I could do right now, but I have some things in my pocket, so I can't stand up. But— Abdo! She said abdo. But it's a really easy way to wrap it, so if there's a mom in your life, or like, a new mom, this is a great way, just a, a good gift to her so that she can have both hands free with her new baby. I do lots of things with this, with wearing this and wearing Roxy in it. Thank you.
I should just take this now. You're pulling my hair. It's disgusting. Next. Okay, next.
I was in— I have been— let me tell you something. I have been a Kids Zara fan since Ellie was born, and I shopped for all of my kids at Kids Zara. But then last summer I went into Kids Zara and they had crop tops for the little girls.
Yeah, it's stupid. And I was like, even the little girls, everything is a hole and the back is out and it's short. I don't know why we're trying to make little girls look like adults.
But they are little girls and they should look as such. And so I was in Fort Worth recently and went to this antique mall and found this little booth with this lady that had the most adorable little girls clothes. So if there's little girls in your life or if you have little girls, these are great gifts. Okay, look, these are some of the things I bought. So this was for Roxy and it has little— it's so stinking cute. And I put like little tights under it during the holiday season.
I shop for you at Walmart. This is— wow. They have cute stuff at Walmart too.
Okay, this is something else I got for her. Look, it's just adorable with like little tights.
I just, you know, so is this a boutique?
Little girls who look like little girls.
This is a boutique?
It is a boutique, but they have lots of stuff.
So this is Lindsey Paige? Yes, baby age. Does she have an online store? Yes, she has an online store.
She has Instagram too. But yeah, the clothes are super cute. They're really soft. They're really well made. Yeah, these are well made and they just look like little— there's a tag on it.
A little girl should look like a little girl. Roxy's gonna be too big for this in a minute.
No, she won't. This is 3 to 6 months. She's 3 months.
Like I said, she gonna be too big for that in a minute.
Okay. All right, let me just have my corner.
I also want to say that if you go to Walmart or Costco, if you know I'm just saying, sometimes we have to consolidate our time. And you know, you can, you can, you can, because Target has gotten a little highfalutin, you know what I mean? Like the one near our house, they have redesigned their stuff, like they're trying to look like a department store, and their prices are going up too. And I'm like, if I come to get bacon and I'm gonna— and if I'm gonna go get clothes, I don't want my clothes to cost the same the same money as they would in the mall. So I'm not trying— what I was not following here. Okay, so what I was saying is I think these clothes are beautiful, and I think you should patronize Miss Lindsay Paige's store.
I also just want little girls clothes. Make sure your little girls look like little girls.
What's important is shopping and getting clothes that fit your family, but you can do that at Costco as well. I want to encourage you I just bought Kanan, did I not get you some great pants from Costco the other day? Kanan said, he, no, he didn't. He said yes. He put them on. They were perfect. Karris has a corner. Keep going. Thank you.
Okay. So, you know, when your little babies reach about 3 months and they get that bald spot in the back of their head because they've been rubbing their back of their head on the—
You didn't get a bald spot.
I didn't.
Oh, would you like me to tell you how? How? Keep going.
How did I not get a bug bite?
So she basically slept on my chest every night. We would go to sleep and she would sleep right here on my chest. She also probably multiple times fell out the bed. That's true. My father would come in the room and say, oh my gosh, get the—
No. Okay. What's funny to me is not that I fell out the bed. All of my kids have fallen out the bed. They're fine. That's their heads are soft at this point. They're made for those types of like accidents. So it's fun. The funny part here is that I was, I stayed on the floor. Like Poppy would come in and I would still be on the floor. You didn't wake up.
No, I was asleep.
Anytime my kids have fallen out the bed, I wake up.
Yeah, I didn't wake up. But here's what I did do. I did start taking— We complain so much. I did start taking preventative measures. So before I went to sleep, I would just put a bunch of pillows on the floor so that way if she fell out the bed, at least it was a soft landing.
You know, every time you tell this story, I'm just like, oh, that makes sense.
That's probably why you're so brilliant and creative.
Oh, that's a sweet way to put it.
That's also probably why you have so much hair in the back of your head. Okay, continue.
Well, if your babies don't fall out the bed so that their hair won't fall out the back of their head, these caps are the best. They are silk-lined. Oh, for babies? Baby turban! Like that! Imagine a little baby with a turban on. It's the cutest thing you've ever seen in your life. But they're silk-wrapped, so you can put them—
you have 3 girls, Josh. You have 3 girls.
I can't believe that that happened to us.
You wanted all boys. We wanted all boys.
JT, I love you, pokey. We wanted all boys and we got all girls, and it's been great.
You just have a lot of hair to do. I have so much hair.
You know JT has hair. He does. But look, this is silk wrap too, so it's just great because I want them to wear all the headbands, all the bows, and all that, but I don't want it to pull their hair out. And so this is a great one.
And this is from Erin and Co.
And they have all different sizes, so it's perfect.
Okay, so here we go. That's it for Charis's Corner. Are we sure? Did we get everything? Are we done? I believe so. Okay, so here we have— oh, look at that baby right there. Okay, so here we have 3 things that we want to give away in the chat before we end tonight. Oh, giveaway! There's 3 things. I'm going to tell you what the 3 things are. We're going to do this movie screen situation that we're going to do. Okay, so we're gonna play a game, a little bit of a game, y'all. And I want to tell you what the prizes are, and then I'm going to tell you what the game is. Okay, there are 3 prizes. So we have the planner. If you weren't here at the beginning, can I have the planner back? We're going to give a planner away right now. The only people that can buy it are the people who are in our Inner Circle membership. So join the Inner Circle. So join the Inner Circle, Inner Circle. But here's a planner. We're going to give a planner away. We're also going to give away— drum roll, come on, give it to me. Okay, we're also going to give away separately 6— we said 6, right? 6 months free in the Inner Circle. Ooh. So if you have been thinking about it and want in and you're not in, we're going to give away a membership, 6 months free in the Inner Circle. Um, we're really excited about what we have coming up in December. We're going to have a cooking party together, Christmas holidays. We are also going to be talking about being good in grief. So those of y'all who are struggling with grief of any kind, lost loved one, being alone, that kind of thing, um, we'll hold space for that. And then we're getting geared up for our 90-day in January where we focus on goal setting for the new year. So The membership, for those of y'all who don't know about it, the Inner Circle is a place where people who've said, Chrystal, hey, one, we want to support what you do, two, we want more from you, and three, I want to be intentional about my growth. We create a space where women can develop community, where they can work on accomplishing their goals, and where they can be encouraged to live their life with intention. So 6 months. Then our third giveaway, our third giveaway is a course. So we have courses in the inner circle, not in the inner circle. We have courses that are available to anyone. One of the newest courses that we have is called Practical Productivity. Because people say to me, Chrystal, how do you do it all? So I don't do it all. That's number one. Number two, it is a course that talks about like how I goal set, how I get things done every week, how I manage my time. And then it talks about how you do this in a leadership capacity. So for those of you all who who are leaders, or maybe you're managers or business owners, how you do this with a team. And the third thing, you might not think about productivity, um, but spiritually, how you can be spiritually productive. Because honestly, if you're not doing what matters for eternity, if you're not doing what God has called you to do, then everything else that you're doing to check off the list is a waste of your time. So it's a course that talks about being productive, but in a way that matters for yourself, for the people that you work with or live with, and then also for your own spiritual well-being. So we're giving away those 3 things. We're going to do that, um, in this way, okay? In this way. Number 1, we're going to put up some pictures, some still images of pictures from a movie scene. When you know that movie scene, go ahead and drop it in the comments. And then from those of you all who are participating, we will select a winner. So first one on the screen, please. First one on the screen, please. And this first giveaway will be for the planner. Now we had so much fun in our, in our pre-show. We gave a bunch of stuff away in the pre-show to our Inner Circle. We'll give a few things away here. While we're waiting for that to come up on the screen too, I also want to let you know that you have— oh, that we also want to let you know that you can get a list of everything we've talked about tonight by going to chrystalevanshurst.com/myfaves. You go to that page, chrystalevanshurst.com/myfaves, and, and you can download the list of PDF with the link to all the things that we shared this year. Also, a quick thing for this product, which is a physical gift, you do have to be in the US, the contiguous US, in order to win. The what? Contiguous. Would you like to know what that means? Yes, yes, that'd be great. Meaning it's not Puerto Rico. You have to be attached, landlocked in the physical North American United States. Okay. All right. So we've got them pouring in. That's not the one I had on my list, but that's the right one? That is the— No, that's not what I had on my list. Okay. Just making sure. Making sure. Okay. They're pouring in. They're pouring in.
Now, are we picking somebody at random? We're picking somebody random.
Okay. And our little elves over here are going to tell us who the winner is. Okay. So let's go ahead and put up the picture for the second Christmas movie. This This is for the productivity course. It is, y'all, $249. But, but if you're in the Inner Circle, don't forget, if you get a planner, you get the courses, any course, all digital courses, 50% off. And like I said, just tell your husband it was on sale. If you are on my email list, on Thursday, you'll have the opportunity to have, to not only get the planner and get the productivity course 40% off, If you're not on the membership, not on my email list, then starting next Monday, you'll have an opportunity to get our courses 35% off. The winner of the planner is Alicia Lachay. Alicia Lachay. Congratulations, Alicia. Okay, so we have our second film up and y'all are in the comments. Oh, there— is it the same movie?
No, they're doing it.
Oh, here they come. Okay, I see y'all commenting here. We're waiting on y'all to get the movie. They're still saying the first one. Go to the next movie. They're still commenting about the first one. Oh, so Alicia Lachey, if you are in the US— you have to be in the US to win— then you need to email us at hello@chrystalevanshurst.com, and that's how we can make sure we have your address so we can send you your planner. Oh, and you didn't just get the planner, You got the daily tracker in there too. Got the daily tracker in there too.
A necessity, a must. A must, a must.
Okay. Have we moved to the next movie? They're still saying the first movie. Second movie? They're not saying.
Oh, we got the first one. The first, yep, there we go. We got 2 people who said the second movie.
Are you sure? Yeah, look. Okay, well, which, which one is it though? I guess I don't know what they're saying. I saw that. I don't need it. Okay, okay, okay, there we go. I don't think I've seen that movie.
You haven't? Oh, it's a good one. Really? I'll bring the kids over and leave them here and you can watch that movie with them. Okay, we should start a new Christmas tradition where you keep the kids the week that they're off for Thanksgiving by yourself while Josh and I prepare for Christmas at our home. But I think that they need that special time with you as their grandmother because, because you know, that's what grandmothers should do. What, what generation are you again? What generation was that? I'm being serious.
Like, you mean like you're a millennial? What generation am I? A millennial? In my heart. What am I? I'm Gen X.
You're Gen X. Yeah, these Gen X grandparents are not like the others.
She sends me, she sends me whole TikToks.
These Gen X parents have things to do and places to go, and I need you to take my kids with you because I wouldn't have had them if you hadn't had me, so really they are your responsibility. Amen? Amen. Yeah, hey, makes sense to me, makes sense to me.
You're a millennial for real?
Yes. M-I-L-L-E-N-N-I-A-L. Did you just make that song up? Y'all know it was like a viral thing when I was younger. Seriously? But you wouldn't know because you're Gen X.
I'm a Gen Xer, you're right, and we do have places to go and things to do.
I need you to do those things with my children, your grandchildren.
Okay, okay. The winner of the second prize is Carmina— Carmina? Carmina? Carmina? Carmina Hunter. You get 6 months, madam, in the Inner Circle. So you need to send us an email at hello@chrystalhurst.com. Um, we know so many of you who are in the Inner Circle have said, can we gift memberships? That is coming soon. It is coming soon. It should be here in December. But Carmina, we are gifting a membership to you, 6 months at the community level in the Inner Circle. And we hope, if you're already in the Inner Circle, do we know she's not? Did we check to make sure she's not already in there? Are you already in there? And it was jingle jangle for sure. We need, we need to hear from Carmina because otherwise we need to give this away to somebody else. If she is in the Inner Circle already? If she's, if she's in the Inner Circle already, because then it's not a gift.
It's not a gift if she gets 6 months free?
No, no, this is for a new member. New member. Yes, right? Isn't that what we said? They have to be new. Jingle Jangle, y'all got that. This is a really good movie. You've seen it? Yes, I have children. It's a kids movie? Mhm. Oh yeah, on Netflix. Okay, somebody said Pinocchio. She is there? She's in the inner circle already? Oh, okay, so we have to pick someone else who's not in the inner circle. That's so sad, so sad. What level is she at, the community level?
—switching neckties, a purple label, upgrade.
That's the song, that's one of the songs I do my elliptical to.
Let's see, let me see. —upgrade, automobility, switching neckties, purple label, upgrade, upgrade. Is that the face that you do?
It is, it is, it is. So Carmina, you're at the community level. We're gonna bump you up to the connection level for 6 months. Hey, hey, hey, hey!
Congratulations, girl.
Okay, are we still gonna find somebody who's not in it though? Let's still find somebody who's not in it.
You're feeling like Oprah today. You get a membership, you get a membership, you get to join us in the inner circle.
Are we sure? Did we check? Yep. Okay, Jessica Sloan. Jessica Sloan, we checked. 2, you're not in there right now. So you get to be in the inner circle with us for 6 months. So that means we're going to accomplish some things, we're going to knock out some goals, and we're going to work on finances, get good with grief, have fun cooking in the kitchen, and most importantly, I will see you every Monday morning live with the fun and the foolery. Congratulations. Congratulations. We're excited. So Jessica Sloan, where is she? I want to see her say hello in the comments. That'd be fun. Okay, we have one more to give away. One more. Can you purchase the daily tracker separately? Yes, you can. Ooh, that's a good question. You can. You can. Look at them, a whole week. Here's the question I want to ask y'all Gen Xers. Baby boomers, what do you want to say to these millennials who want to pawn off their kids on you all the time?
Let's talk about pawning off kids, shall we?
Let's talk about it. Let's talk about pawning off children. I just want to know, what do you say to your children? I'm just curious. Drop that in the comments. Okay. All right. So we're going to put up another movie, correct? All right, we're gonna go with the next movie. The next movie, it is up. We'll give y'all a chance to throw those, uh, comments in there because we want to make sure you've had adequate time. I've had too many cookies.
How many do you have? Like 3, but they were the small ones.
Is Ellie still watching?
Really, it was like one big cookie.
You think Ellie's still watching, Josh? Your mom had 3 cookies. What are you trying— what are you— I'm just saying, you got to bring her home, you know.
She may have to have it like JT and Josie. You will— I will all—
I will bring you all a cookie. So what is this movie that's up, y'all? Guess the Christmas movie. I want to know what we tell our children. Some of y'all are going to be like, bring them over. I live for my grandchildren come over all the time.
Mhm. What generation is your mom, Josh? Do you know?
She's a, she's a, um, she's above me. What's that? Boomer.
She's a boomer. Makes sense.
Mhm. But my parents were boomers. I didn't, I didn't drop my kids off all the time over there.
You were different.
I was like, are we, what are we get it. I was a single parent and there was one of you. Yeah, you were like the fifth child. I, I agree. That's different. Glad that we have that on record. You were like, like as in a simile. That's a simile, not the same as.
But see, but, but you are younger and have more energy because you're a young grandparent. You're a cool grandma. I am a cool grandma. So you can take all four of them. Easily.
No problem. I could. I could. The energy is— the energy is not the issue. The issue is that I still have a 13-year-old who has basketball games. I have to work. I travel sometimes for work. You have responsibilities. I do. You have a great husband over there who loves watching and being with his children.
Can we like— can we pan the camera to him?
He over there, uh, uh, uh. Come on, Josh, let's go for one more.
Josh said no.
Words are cheap. Okay, okay, so what the movie was up, they're still talking about the other— she said she is in the comments, me pick first, I was here first. Okay, they're still talking about Jingle Jangle. Okay, very cute movie. Did Carmina show up? Did she say, "Hey, I'm here, yay, awesome, awesome"? Okay, so we put that last movie up. They're all like, "Look, Joel, Joel, get off my live." Okay, I'm not seeing the comments for the other movie though. It's there? Why am I not seeing it?
Maybe we're on a delay.
We're really delayed. Yeah. Maybe that's it. Okay, so the productivity course— oh, I said the wrong thing. Anyway, doesn't matter. We gave the membership to Carmina. I think I said course and then we did the I did. I said course, but that's okay. Productivity course. Okay. Excuse me. Evelyn— good name. Evelyn is a great name. Good name. I don't want to say it wrong. Berracoles. Berracoles. Berracoles. Berracoles. B-E-R-R-O-C-A-L-E-S. Don't mess with people's names. Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, it's a name. Okay, so Evelyn, you— What happened over there?
Nothing. My husband and I have inside jokes.
Oh no, Josh, don't, don't allow it. Don't get her going. Evelyn, you there, girl? Okay, I see Carmina. She said thank you, thank you, thank you.
You're welcome, Carmina.
Okay, so here's what I need to tell y'all. Here's some things I need to tell y'all. Number one. Almost. Number one, if you are not in the Inner Circle and you've been thinking about it, now's a great time to join us because we're planning for a great December and then rolling into January at the beginning of the year, working on our intentional living with our 90-day goal setting. Program that we do together. But here's the other reason why it's super great. If you are either interested in having your membership be annual, or you're in the Inner Circle and you're wanting to change that, you actually get, depending on the level that you sign up for when you get an annual membership, you get your planner free. One at the, the Community level, two at the Connection level, four at the Coffee level. So it allows you the opportunity to not only be in the Inner Circle, but Take advantage of what we really think, what I really think is going to help you to live your life well. And the doors are always open so you can join at any time. But now's a great time to get in. Also, if you are thinking about grabbing your planner, now is a great time. You remember you can do it at the best deal till Wednesday. If you are on my email list, you can get a great deal in from Thursday through Sunday. And then starting next Monday, anybody can get it. But y'all, it's on sale because we're rolling into Black Friday. Friday. And then last but not least, if you are here and you stumbled upon this live and you're like, what is happening and why are they on here being silly and simple and eating chocolate chip cookies and stealing things, then you can— you just need to know that I am here most Monday mornings inside the Inner Circle. We go live, fun and foolery, and then teaching. People say, Chrystal Hurst, all the time "Can I go out with you? Can I take you to coffee? Would you mentor me?" And I wish, I really do wish that I could do more of that. But I have children at home and a husband. Grandchildren. And grandchildren. That is true. So this is the way that I, along with some really great women, want to pour practical— women who love God want to pour practical information into your life so that you can live your life well. That's what the Inner Circle is all about. So if you can't do any of that, listen, that's fine. That's why you can catch the videos on Sunday night. That's why you can catch the podcast every week, the interviews that I do, the solos that I do. That's why you can grab books, read blogs, because we realize, listen, times are hard. Gas has been high. Food is stupid. We understand. We understand. So the goal that we have ultimately is to encourage you to live your life well. What? Because I can't talk seriously when you're acting like you're pregnant, but you're holding stolen goods.
I have no such thing. Stand up.
Stand up. Stand up. Stand up for Jesus. He's shoulders of the cross. I brought some things with me. Stand up. To give you. Is she going to regurgitate from in her abdomen area. I brought this lotion for you that I had. That's mine. That's mine.
Thank you so much for having me. Look at you.
It, it was— look at what is happening. Why did the lotion squirt out in there? Look at that.
What is that? It was, it was like that when I bought it.
Every Christmas she's still— seriously, what is that?
What is that? The lotion, it was like that when I bought it. I also have, um, no, that one's mine. No, never mind. That's all I have. That's it. That's all I got.
Continue. The bottom line is I wanted to just say, yes, we're here to have fun. To have a good time, but honestly, to live a good life, right? To live a good life. So I hope we've had some fun tonight. I hope you've laughed a little bit. And honestly, I hope you've gotten a handful of ideas for what to do for your Christmas collection. Josh, I'm sending y'all back home with some Refresh Body Butter. Do you know what that did for y'all last time?
No clue, tell me. Mmm. The group said, mmm.
The last time we had a Christmas collection, Kara stole some body butter, and then y'all ended up having Roxy. I don't recall that. I don't recall stealing body butter. Okay, so we're on here to help you live your life well. That was a great— that was a great— help your fertility.
So you're claiming that your body butter helps fertility now? Okay, no, it doesn't help.
It doesn't help fertility. It may increase the proximity that fertility requires. Okay, you hear me throwing these vocabulary words at you? You know what they all mean? Okay, okay, uh-huh. All right, all right, all right. Anyway, y'all, we hope you had a good time. We hope you laughed a little bit. And more than anything, we hope that you've gotten some good ideas. But at the end of the day, y'all, here's what's most important. Seriously, what's most important is that you remember the holiday is not about things. It is about this. It is about being with people you love, having a good time, laughing, making memories, being in clothing that makes you feel comfortable. Enjoying things, the small things. It's not about the gift at all. It is totally about your thoughtfulness to the people you love. So if you don't buy a gift this year, I want you to think about how you will make a memory with the people that you love. 'Cause really, we were discussing how this is kinda like tradition. It's kinda fun and silly. But it's more about us hanging out and having fun than it is about the gifts. So make memories this year. Nonni used to say, when I would stress out about the holidays, she would say, "It's all about having the holidays being an overflow of you." So think about what gives you joy. Think about what you have fun doing. Think about the memories that you will make that you'll be glad you have later and go do more of that. Because really, at the end of the day, what we wanna collect during Christmas are memories and times with the people we love. So— That's good.
Yeah, it is good.
It's a good way to end with a bow on it. Very sweet. What happened? We should sing. We should sing Jingle Bells, Cock-a-doodle-doo. What? What song are we singing?
I don't know, I was following your lead.
I was trying to think of something upbeat. Oh, this— that sounded terrible. How do the words go? That sounded great.
Hang all the mistletoe. I wanna get to know you better this Christmas.
And as we trim the tree, I'm going to be together this Christmas. The fireside burning bright. And we'll caroling through the night! And this Christmas will be a very special Christmas for me! I believe it! Yes, I can; yes, I am; yes, I can. Do do do do do do do do do— Yes, I can; yes, I can; yes, ma'am, yeah.
Merry Christmas! Happy holidays!
Merry Christmas! You rolling music? Give me my stuff back!
I don't know what you're talking about. Give me my stuff back!
This is my boobs.
Stop touching my boobs!
