She's Still There: Look at Your Life

Chrystal Hurst asks you to look at your gifts, abilities, and passions as part of your real worth. Psalm 139 says you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that includes the soul-deep qualities God wove into you, not just your body. When you feel discouraged, knowing what's actually worth fighting for changes everything.

Hey, I want to talk to you about what it means to look at your life. You already know that you should fight for it, but it's not until you actually look at your life that you see what you're fighting for. Most of us came home from the hospital with 10 fingers and 10 toes, and the reality is we're grateful for everything we have on the outside of us that makes us us. But have you ever thought for a moment about what's on the inside of you that makes you you? Your gifts, your abilities, your interests, your your nature, your personality. Those are also all a part of what make you, you. And those things, the things that make you, you, the soul of you, those are things that should be appreciated too. So take a look at yourself. What are your gifts? What, what are you naturally good at? What are your skills or abilities, the things that you've been able to develop since your time on earth? What about your interests or passions? What sets your soul on fire? And your personality. How do you lean, introverted or extroverted? Excitable or quiet and contemplative? That is all a part of who you are. So look at your life. What about your life is unique? Psalm 139 says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You were stitched together in your mother's womb before your eyes ever saw the light of day. And so what does that mean? Look at your life. Examine it. See what's good about it. Pay attention to it. Most of the time, if people are struggling to fight for their life, it's because they really haven't looked at it in a while to see what there is that's good and there. There's good in you because the God who is good spoke humans into existence, and as he created the world, not only did he say that we were good, 'cause everything else was good, he said that his created beings, those that were created in His image, were very good. You are very good. So take a minute and look at your life. Think about what's unique about you so that you can get your eyes on what's in you that's worth fighting for. Listen, I hope this is an encouragement for you, and look for the third part where we'll talk about embracing your life.
