Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning. Hi y'all, how are you? It's good to see you. Happy first Monday. You would not believe the things that I do to make sure I'm here with y'all where I'm supposed to be, but praise the Lord, hallelujah, I'm free. It's December the 4th, it is officially We are full on into a full week situation of December. So ready or not, here we go. It's about to be Christmas Eve, then Christmas, then New Year's Eve, then New Year's, and then it's going to be 2024. That's what's, that's what's about to happen. So I am obviously in a hotel room. I'm looking around because I want to put my mic up. Can y'all hear me okay? I think y'all can hear me okay. I don't think there's any issues. So this is me giving y'all a little set background. Did I check back so that I could have my good camera with me and my light with me? Did I move furniture around in this room? Yes, I did, to make sure that y'all could see me and hear me well. And also that I would be comfortable and not sitting on the floor for an hour? Yes, I did. Have I charged all the devices? Have I tested the internet? Have I prayed to God that nothing goes wrong on today? That is correct. Yes, I did. You're welcome. You're welcome. If you are here for the first time for a Monday morning live, welcome. This is something I do every Monday. With the Inner Circle, and then usually I go live once a month and I stream everywhere, um, and then I take it down in 24 hours. It's down because we do what we do, we edit it up, we make it more concise, we do all the things. Um, but today it's going to be different. I'll tell you why in just a minute. I forgot to tell, uh, Instagram that I was on So let me do that real quick because I know I can't stream to Instagram until I figure out some things to make my life easier. So hold on one sec. Okay, I got it. Hey y'all, Instagram. Yes, I am not at home. Yes, I am not in my yellow chair. I am in a hotel room and I am currently live. Yes, with all the stuff in a hotel room. That's right. I would love for you to join me. Come on over to YouTube. Youtube.com/chrystalhurst, and I will see you there. Bye! Hey y'all, Instagram, yes, I am now posted. This is how we do it. Good morning, good morning, good morning. Happy December to you. So I have a little bit of fun and foolery, and then I want to talk about— oh, there's a book. I might have to get up and get it in just a second. Because I want to, I want to, I want to quote from this book that I've been reading, that I've read a couple of times. But first of all, first and foremost, let me get out my notes. Thanks, Emily, for my notes. Yes, I did remember to bring them with me. Yes, I did, because I had— listen, I had written on it. I got notes, girl. All right, y'all, so, so many things this morning. What I want to talk to you about, um, uh, I— okay, first of all, first of all, last night there is a video that is on YouTube, and normally whenever we post a video on Sunday night and then I go live the very next morning, then, um The one from Sunday night doesn't get a lot of views. It's like, y'all are like, we can't watch all the things, Chrystal Hurst. Quit tripping. So the one from last night is up. So if anything I say, you're like, I need to understand that again, go watch the video from last night. There is a separate set of amazing meat in there for you, but also some more details about what I'm going to blaze through today. So I have a few things I wanna talk to you about. Things that you don't wanna do that you really should do. Things that you don't wanna do that you should really should do. If you are in the inner circle, girls, go ahead and drop that yellow circle for me because I would love to know when you're talking who I'm talking to. Now, if you don't already know this, I wanna explain it. If you are a woman who loves God and you are in the room that I'm in, any room that I'm in, you are— I consider you to be a part of the Sister Circle. If you have a group of women that you do life with, that is your Sister Circle. You can use that, claim that, because it's just, it's just you doing your thing, or it's just you in a room with me. Now, if you are an inner circle member, that means you have special access to me, to the content I create, to the special inner circle site. You have access to my content library. Okay, so if you're throwing up a yellow circle right now, that means you are an inner circle member, an inner circle member. So yellow circles, I love to see y'all in the chat. Amazeballs. So I have some things that I'm reserving for you. So Inner Circle, you have to remind me to tell you about the termites, the deck, uh, the creature in the walls. Uh, let's talk about some bed rotting and some twin flames. That is coming up for you, I believe. And let's talk about— excuse me— let's talk about those of us who have multiple Instagram feeds and why that might be. Okay, so that's coming up for you. Also, I need to make sure that if you are not on my email list, I don't care who you are, you need to get on it because everything that I'm going to walk through today, the announcements that I'm going to make, the weaving in and out of the things that you don't want to do that you really should do, that will show up in an email either later today or tomorrow. Because y'all, I can only do so much. Okay, I can only do so much and I try, trust me. I tried. I'm looking around because I want to prop this mic up more. I want to prop it up just like this, but I need something to put it on. That's why I'm looking around. I'm looking around for what else can I steal in this here hotel room. I wonder where that pillow work. Hmm, let's see. So I want you to know that it's going to be in an email. And if you're like, Chrystal Hurst, where is the link for— I know that you talked about— you gotta check your email. Because I always like to give as much as I can. I always like to give inner circle access first when appropriate, email list access first, per usual, and then everybody else can just figure it out on social when you figure it out. All right, y'all, good morning, good morning. I actually made myself a cup of hot water because I was gonna drink some tea. Can you hear my voice? It's been a— I think I'm tired. Because my voice just won't get better. Uh, it's been a couple of weeks with it up and down, up and down. So I'm going to make my tea in just a second when I get this pillow for this microphone, and also when I go get this book. So I want you to go ahead and put what you are drinking in the chat. And y'all know the deal, if you're drinking something that's foolishness, go ahead and explain what it is. If you're going to say I'm drinking dandelion root with Ashwagandha. You need to explain why you're drinking that. You know, you need to tell the people why you're doing that, what the properties are. If you're doing something silly like my $10 Starbucks drink and you're just like, this is what I drink and this is my silly drink, then say that. If you can, you can be quick when you keep it normal. Peppermint with honey, you know, water with lemon. But when you start breaking out, you know, the turmeric ginger with the, you know, why are you doing that? Because this is the deal. Inquiring minds want to know. That is correct. I'm going to play a little Christmas music while I go get my tea, get a pillow, get the book. Can y'all hold on for just one second? Let me go do that. Let's see, make sure y'all can hear. Okay, thank you for your patience. That was amazing. Yay! That was a little praise break for those of y'all know what a praise break is. Mm-hmm. All right, let me move this. Don't fall, don't fall, don't fall, don't fall, don't fall. There we go. So I can sit back a little bit. Praise the Lord, everybody. Okay, so I want to go get my water. My hot water, and apparently I don't know how to work the thing. I filled it with water, I pressed the button, there was no water. But that's okay because I probably didn't need to be using that nasty hotel coffee maker anyway. All right, y'all, let's talk. Let's get some foolery going. Let's get some foolery going. First of all, there's a lot going on. Can I just say that out loud? There is a lot going on right now in the world, right now in my house, right here in this room. There's a lot going on. And I— there's a lot of things that I don't want to do that I should be doing. You understand what I'm saying? It takes a lot of discipline to do the things that we don't want to do, especially when we should be doing them. And so I just want you to know that I understand that sometimes we don't do things simply because there's just too much going on. I just wanted to say that. Now that said, let's talk about what we should be doing. All right, y'all. First of all, let me call out some people who are in the room. So Terry P is saying, I've got a hot cocoa with a peppermint spoon, whipped cream, and a caramel drizzle. Did you do that for yourself at home? Because that's a lot. That— let me tell you what that says to me, Terry. That says I value myself. I do the most at the house. I am so curious if that's what's happening. Pastor's Wife has got ginger, turmeric, good for inflammation and my RA, rheumatoid arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases. Okay, Eleanor Shields Inner Circle says Pete's Coffee with brown butter chocolate chip cookie creamer. I didn't even know that there was such a thing as the brown butter chocolate chip cookie creamer, but now I do. Now I know. Dana, we are praying for you. Dana Thompson, I see you. Dolores Fluellen says, I'm drinking my homemade medicine ball. Pray tell, what is in your medicine ball? Is this the same medicine ball that Starbucks creates? Because Let me tell you something, I still think their medicine ball is mostly sugar. What is in your medicine ball? Tanya Wyatt says, I'm drinking water with electrolytes. As I'm going through the chat, y'all, with the drinks, I'd love for you to get in the chat once again and tell everybody where you are from, if you have not already. Where are you watching from? That would be super cool. Joni says, Bigelow herbal peach tea. Okay, we've got Louise in here from Zambia. She said, I already had my coffee this morning and now I'm drinking water. Amazing, amazing. Homebrewed, Carrie McDonald says. Starbucks French roast, decaf coffee. Jay Lanier, decaf coffee with sweet cream almond creamer. Listen, y'all are in here high-maintenance-ing it. That's what I see, high-maintenance-ing it. We do the most with our drinks, don't we? Black coffee, there she is. There she is representing for the regulars. Black coffee. Love where y'all are coming from. The green teas and the iced caramel coffee and all that. All right, y'all, I'm glad that you are having your drink, that you are hydrating or sugaring depending on what you're drinking. Let me tell you, this is not one of the 5 things that I want to tell you that you should do even when you don't want to do it. But this is— let's just call this the intro paragraph. Y'all should know me by now. Y'all should know that this early in the morning, I don't wear makeup. You should know this. You should believe this. You should understand this with all your heart. You should. You should. But, uh, you want to know why I have makeup on? Can anybody guess why I have makeup on? I'm gonna wait for you to respond in the chat. Can anybody guess why I have makeup on? Because y'all know this is not my normal M.O. So y'all, I want you to know that I arrived at my hotel last night. I can hear the ocean outside of my window. I specifically asked for an oceanfront room, but I'm so upset right now. I'm so upset because I requested a higher level floor. Now, this is amazing. I have a patio. I'm going to order breakfast this morning and I'm going to sit on the patio and eat breakfast and look at the ocean. But you want to know why being on the ground floor is a problem? Being on the ground floor is a problem because if I'm ever by an ocean, I want to sleep with my window open. Well, if I'm on the ground floor, I'm no dummy. You don't sleep with your window open. Somebody can crawl over your patio. Come in the room and get in the bed with you. So I'm kind of like, ooh, am I gonna move? Because this is the dilemma. Am I gonna move? Am I gonna wait till the manager gets here to put me in another room? Because I don't already unpacked everything, you know what I mean? Or am I just gonna say lesson learned for next time? Next time, make sure you double confirm that they have your note. But I'm right here by the window, so I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. All right, so here we go. Do you have an event? You're gonna go speak publicly soon. That's a good guess, Melanie, but no. You're traveling to speak. Good guess, but no. Nope. Speaking engagement. Good guess, but no. Here come the people. Here come the real ones. That is correct. That is correct. It was gonna be too much work. Too much work. Had it on yesterday, Tiffany, that is correct. Did not take it off, did not. Didn't take it off, Isabel, from yesterday, you got it, you got it, that is correct. Because y'all, this is what had happened. What had happened was, I went to church, I had to be on the stage, so I put a little extra cat, put a little extra cat on it, and you know, did some concealer underneath the eyes, I put on a little, a light, light path of foundation just to make sure it's extra smooth. Then I came home. It's first family dinner. Welcome 25 people to the house. Then I had to clean up. And in order, in order— this was going to be my intro. In order— is this my intro? Hold on, let me see. I feel like I'm about to mess up. I'll make this a part of the intro. In order to put the food away from dinner, I had to create space in my fridge from Thanksgiving. That's another one of those things that you don't want to do, but you really should do. You understand what I'm saying? Because, you know, after a week, y'all, let it go. Let it go. Um, so yeah, so I didn't wash my face off because I had to do church or after church dinner. Then after I started cleaning up and getting rid of Thanksgiving food, then I had to throw things in a bag to get on a plane. So I didn't have time to wash it off. Then got to the hotel, got to the airport, realized that in order to not get stopped at the gate, I need to put all my makeup stuff in my checked bag. So now I don't have all my stuff to wash my face. So I was like, I'll do it when I get in the room. By the time I got in the room, set up the situation, moved the furniture, turned on the light, got the camera situated, y'all, I was like, I don't feel like it. So we're gonna go to bed and I'm gonna sleep just so, you know, you know how you do that, just so, so that you can, so that hopefully it won't be too bad, you know, in the morning. I got a little puff happening here. If I go closer, you can see a little puff here because my eyes do not like glue or eyeliner overnight. They don't. But I was also like, I think I can make it. I know that I can make it. I know that I can stand with my eyeliner the next morning from being a fool the night before. So here's one of the things on my intro that you should do even when you don't want to do it. Number 1, take off your makeup. It ain't good for you. It ain't good for you. Number 2, clean out your fridge. Don't wait until you are trying to decide whether you're gonna clean out your fridge or live in your house. Clean out your fridge when you don't feel like it. That's the intro to the conversation, but let's get into it, y'all. Let's get into it. And then for those of y'all who are new here, welcome, welcome. Tell us where you're calling from, where you're listening in from, and also don't forget to let us know what you're drinking. I'm about to talk about 5 things that you should do even when you don't want to do them, and I'm going to mix into that some things you need to know because this is how we do it. Number 1, numero uno, this is just an announcement. This is the last week. December 9th is the last day to fill out your application if you are interested in our internship program. You can simply go, and here I go, I'm going to be my own producer this morning. Hold on, let me do this for the, for the people. Alright, I'm gonna do this. You can go to— there we are, there we are. I'm gonna keep using the same one today. Live produced means we're gonna get it done. There we go. ChrystalEvansHurst.com/interns. You have until December 9th. You have that free without an illustration because I just want to make sure I got that one out. I wrote on my piece of paper, just announce it, just announce it. You have been announced. All right, y'all, uh, I also mentioned just a minute ago something else. I'm gonna pull this off so I can do my magic behind closed doors. All right, y'all, number one, are you ready? Number one. Have you ever had something that you need to get to make your life better and you just knew you needed it, but you didn't make the time to get it? And then when you really needed it, when the time came where you really needed it yesterday, then you're mad at yourself because you knew you should have bought it. You knew you should have got it. You knew you should have ordered it. You knew you should have. And then you're like, doggone it. So let me tell you about my story with that. So we have an office for the Sister Circle and all things Chrystal Hurst brand that is near our home. It is so near our home that our home internet can be used for it. But our home internet— shout out to AT&T who never let me down. Spectrum, I'm happy to have you, but you just go down and you know you do. Spectrum just goes down sometimes. And there may be 3, 4, 5, 6 people in the office. So one of the things, uh, one of the things that I've known that I needed for a long time, I need backup internet. Okay. I need backup internet. And what I need is a mobile hotspot, not a phone, not an iPad, but a device like a Nighthawk that is specifically designed for mobile hotspotting. So that way, if the internet goes down, which maybe once a month it does, in the office, we can just all jump on that one device and keep trucking. It has been on my list of things forever, y'all, forever. And like 3 or 4 times I've said, I need to get that. When the internet would go down, I'd say, I need to get it. You know, the internet would come back up and I'd be like, ah, you know, eh, I'll get it the next time. I'll get, ask me about it next week. I would say this to our office administrator, ask me about it next week. So this past week, the rain came down, the thunder started rolling in, the lightning cracked, and the internet went out. The power went out. So I'm there, I got 5 other girls there, and all I could think was, order the device. So I called the office administrator and I said, that's it, order the device. She said, do you want to? I said, no, order the device. She said, what about the color? I don't care, order the device. Do you want to pay for it in full? Whatever you think is best, order the device. Because I needed it yesterday. I've been saying I needed it forever. Y'all, they always say they're going to send it to you in 24 hours. 48 max, if you call it the second part of the day. Did that happen? No. 'Cause now that I've decided to get the device, it seems like we have to go through a million hoops. I gotta sign this agreement. And then we had to get this attached to this phone. And then they got it attached to the wrong account. It's just a mess. So when the power goes out and you realize that when you had the opportunity to get what you needed, you should have gotten it. That is the learned opportunity for you to say, the next time I feel that feeling that I should get it and get it now, I'm gonna get it now. I'm gonna get it now. Has that ever happened to you where you knew you were supposed to get something and you didn't, and then later on you realize, dang it, I should have gotten that? That happens to me all the time. I can't wait to see in the comments how this has happened to you, literally. Literally, I'm looking at the— I'm looking at this spectrum for sure goes down. Mm-hmm. Yep, that is correct. Yes, I'm with you, Radisha. It's time for me to remove my fall decorations and put up my Christmas ones. So I would love to know what that has happened to you with and when that has happened to you. Have you ever been in a store and thought, I'm gonna get that, and then you came back because they put it on sale and then there were none left? You were like, I should have got it when You know, it can happen with that. I'm trying to think what else has happened with— it happened with my mother, with my perfume. I love the Journey perfume from Mary Kay, and I said I should get some of that, and then I didn't, and then they went out of stock, and I thought I should have stocked up while I had the chance, right? Okay, so let me tell you about two things I'm weaving in my announcements. Two things that you need to get a hold of while you have the chance. Number one, number one are the planners. Okay, people ask me all the time, Chrystal Hurst, how do you do what you do? And I scribble in a notebook. And then they said, well, but can you make that doable for us? So I took that and I put it into a format. Not only did I put it into a format, but there's a whole course around it, and I'll be diving into that course again with the planner as a tool in the Inner Circle. The good news is if you're in the Inner Circle, you get as a part of that course, a digital download of that course, the planner as well, PDF. But if you're a paper and pen girl and you're like, I need to write in it, the planners are here. They're here till they're not. There are 4 quarters. Every quarter is different. Every quarter has different quotes. Every quarter has different questions. And the reason why, y'all, because I know some of y'all are saying this planner is expensive, let me tell you why it is. Because if you go get a planner off the shelf at Target, then every week is the same. Every week. This is like having Chrystal Hurst asking questions in your pocket. And what we're going to do this year is I will be creating an audio, a private podcast per se, for those that are purchasers of the planner. So you get encouragement from me every week. Just because you have the planner. The planners are here till they're gone. So you can buy one of the ones that are black with a spiral bound, or the ones that are yellow that are book bound, limited edition. This is it for this year. They probably won't come back. You can buy those as a bundle for the year. So get the tool while you can. How can you do that? Let me go over here, be my own little producer real quick, and give you the link so you can be blessed. Here you go. Let me turn it on for you. And then Emily, these are supposed to be in the store this week at 10% off, just the planners, just the physical planners. So if you can check and make sure that that is how it's set up to be, that would be amazing balls. So there's the planner, there's the tool. Get it while you can. Let me tell you about something else. Now, in the Inner Circle, we're about to do our 90 days. It's the beginning of the year. What are we doing our 90 days about? I don't know, it's whatever you choose. Some women come in thinking that they have goals for money. Some women come in thinking that they have goals for their health. Some women come in and thinking that they have goals for writing a book, goals for getting back in school, goals for working on their resume, goals for getting another job, goals for developing the relationship with their spouse. You choose the goal. What I do is provide the context and the community for you to stay focused. But there have been some people that have said, Chrystal Hurst, I need more. Like, I'm a leader, I'm an entrepreneur, I'm a business owner. Can I do a coaching cohort with you? I've been asked that question y'all for 3 years. So I am actually going to have for the first time, a coaching cohort. This is a group of 12 to 15 women who will have greater access to me. They'll have— they'll be able to speed dial me on Voxer app like a Batmobile. We will have biweekly meetings and I will be teaching and talking about leadership, owning a business, developing your business plan, managing your team, managing your time, all of that. Now it will be application only and the applications close December the 15th. I am going to send out in my email later today or first thing tomorrow, the link to apply. Now it is going to be application-based, but if I go through and there are 20 people that applied, it's going to be the first 12 that meet the criteria that get in. So even though we're going through them, the application matters and your speed matters. So make sure you're on the email list so that you get the email if that's you. Now, this is not, you know, this is not for you if you want to know how to start a business. This is like you're kind of on the move and you just are, you just need somebody to help get you unstuck and move you forward. Okay, so that's, those are two things that you should take advantage of while you can so that later you're not like, dang, I missed the deadline, or dang, I didn't get those planners while they were here, because when they're gone, they're gone. Okay, now let me tell you about something else you should do that you don't want to do. You need to find a middle ground. What do I mean by that? What do I mean by that? I mean that you need to— let me take this off the screen— you need to make peace with the people you share your space with. Let me give you an example. So when my mother was alive, I would go over to her house and it was always very clear she liked it cold. My dad liked it hot. She liked it cold. My dad liked it hot. But one time I went in the house and my dad said, Chrissy. I said, yeah. And I'm thinking, why are you whispering? And he said, Chrissy, Chrissy, come here. And I was like, Daddy, why are you whispering? He said, turn it up to 80. I said, what? He said, the thermostat, turn it up to 80. And I was like, oh no, you not, you not about to get me in that. You're not about to get me in there. Just do it. Just do it. Just turn it up. Do what I told you to do. So he's telling me to turn up the thermostat, which I did. I turned it up to 80 because I'm an obedient child. And then, you know, it wasn't but 5 minutes later, my mother comes in there. She did not have to be in there for 10 minutes to know that it was too hot. She didn't have to be in there for 15 minutes to know that it was too hot. She was like, She said, Tony, did you turn the thermostat up? And then she sucked her teeth long-winded Guyanese style, and then she went back and turned it down. And I was thinking, have y'all been married 40-something years at the time and y'all still fight over the thermostat? Let me tell you something, you need to find a middle ground. And I don't know what they figured out, but apparently every now and then they still let each other know that they had preferences. In this same office that I was talking to you about earlier, let me tell you what I need to do on today. I can control the thermostat from my phone. Let me tell you why we have to have team meetings to make sure that I have the settings correct, because there are different women in the office in different seasons of life with different body compositures and compositions, with different body makeups, with different levels of thick and thin blood. And you want to know what women do? We fight over the thermostat. I got women telling me it's hot. I got women telling me it's cold. I got women telling me that the space heater is turning off the thermostat. It's a whole thing. And I was like, listen, y'all gonna have to work that out and then let me know where the middle ground is. These are things that you don't want to do that you should do. And let me tell you why. Because if you don't agree to find a middle ground— Tony and Lois Evans, Sister Circle team— The up and down, the back and forth, the in and out of, you know, going back and forth, even if you're doing it nicely, even if you're talking nicely, which everybody in my life does, it's still a thing. Like at some point you just have to decide that you're going to be slightly uncomfortable because they're going to be slightly uncomfortable. So let me give you another look of what this looks like to find a middle ground. So my husband and I, we fight over the thermostat as well. But here's what's funny. For the first 10 years of my marriage, whenever he was in the bed with me, because he traveled a lot for a living, I I thought I was an ice cube, and I was thinking, I don't have this problem when you're traveling, but when you come home, I just am shivering my way through the night because he was so hot. Okay, fast forward 20 years. Now his body composition has changed. He is so cold. So now we have gone from a freezing bedroom to a hot as all get-out bedroom, and I'm like, now wait a minute, wait a minute, at some point I need to be considered. So I said to him, listen, It's a lot easier. This was me making peace and finding the middle ground. It's a lot easier for you to get warm than it is for me to get cold. Like, you can layer up, we can put additional blankets on, I'll buy you some long johns. Do you need a onesie? We can put an extra blanket on your side of the bed. Do you need a heating pad? What do you need? Do you need a space heater on your side? Because what I don't want to do is have the room be 80 degrees. Well, how can I serve you? What kind of blanket can I get you? What kind of situation do you need me to layer you up with? Because you gotta decide at some point if you're gonna keep living where you're living to deal with it. This is for some of y'all who refuse, and I mean refuse, refuse to make peace in your situations because you refuse to have what you think is a confrontational conversation when in reality All you need to do is say what you gotta say and say it with love. Just gotta say what you gotta say and say it with love. Okay. I got questions and I have other things I need to talk about. I'm gonna keep going though. Tamara says, how do I change my email with the Sister Circle email? Hello. @thesistercircle.com, and our amazing Emily will help you. Oh no, there's still an error on the page for the planners. Well, here's what you can just do. Let me fix this for you. Just go to— and then I'll fix it once I get off of this. Just go to, uh, let me test it out. Let's see. Let me, let me not send y'all in the wrong direction. Make sure 'Cause listen, we were working hard to get this stuff up for y'all. So that might be why. 'Cause if you stay up late working on it. Let's see. Okay. Let me do this. Hold on. We're gonna be blessed in the body of Christ today. 'Cause we're gonna have this conversation right now. Eh, eh, eh, eh. I just did that too, Emily, and it— that didn't work either. Okay, this is what I'm gonna do for you. It'll get you there. All right, here's what we're gonna do. Shop. Go to the shop and then just click on the planner at the top of the page. All right, what else? The application fee for the cohort. There is no application fee. There's no fee to apply. All right, let's see what else I'm missing here. Make sure I'm not missing anything. I fixed the planner. Y'all just go to the shop. Yes, Karen Gosby, 80 degrees. All right. Yes, Ella, that is correct. You got to say what you got to say. With love. Oh, she said, I got some young folks who don't think they need to pay rent. Speaking of young folks, y'all know I love to get a special shout out to my, my Gen Zers, my Xennials, my Millennials. If you are a Millennial, give me a fist bump. If you are a Gen Zer, um, give me a thumbs up so I can tell the difference, okay? Okay, Tammy said, I just ordered a power backup for my laptop when the power goes out so I can teach online. Oh, will you send me the link for whatever you got? Because I need one of those too. Shucks. Shanika says, I just love catching you live, you help me so much. Hey Tiffany, millennial in the room. I saw your email last night, thank you very much. Okay y'all, so yeah, so now I fixed the link for you, so we're going to keep moving. Here come the millennials, Shanna Sandy Glow, T. Johnson, you're amazing. Somebody's echoing with the young folks not wanting to pay rent. We in here. Y'all, you got to find a middle ground and that means some difficult conversations. I see you, Gen Z, Barbara and A Homes. I see y'all. What is the cost of the cohort? I'm going to let you go and apply and find out. It is an investment. Because you're getting direct to me for 4 months. Okay, let's see here. What's the next thing that I want to tell you about? Okay, here's the next thing that you may not want to do, but you need to go. You may not want to do it, but you need to go. You need to do it. You ready? Go to church. Let me tell you why. Not this weekend I was in church. Last weekend after Thanksgiving, I was jacked. I was messed up. My feet hurt, my back hurt. And honestly, that's not true. I mean, it is true. I could have made it to church. I made it to church under worse circumstances. That wasn't the issue. The issue was just I was tired. I was really tired. And I was like, I believe in church. I go to church every Sunday. I don't miss. But that Sunday I was like, you know what, Chrystal Hurst, just rest. I couldn't. My voice still is jacked. But I was like, just rest. I made a decision. I'm not going to even tell— I'm not going to even tell you about the turkey I left in the oven or the dressing that I found 3 days after Thanksgiving. That's a story for another day. But I made a decision to sit my behind down and be still. And that went from Friday to Saturday. And then I said, from Saturday to Sunday, I was like, Lord, it's okay, church is online, I'm gonna go to church online. Let me tell you something. I'm like, am I the spirit killer? Because I can tell you, there are about 2 or 3 times when I have not gone to church, and before we were online, I would hear about it. And then, I think there's only been like 1 or 2 times that I've missed church, maybe 3, but normally I'm like traveling for work or something. But I was watching y'all Sunday morning, and something was happening at Oakcliff and Bible, like my precious Dr. Acho used to say. He would say, Oakcliff and Bible, Y'all, something was happening. There's always somebody, somebody down front. There's already somebody down front with their hands up. There's always some lady down front dancing. We, we all right with that. But this Sunday, I saw people prostrate on the floor on the front, and I could tell, you know, have you ever been watching something online and you can tell you should have been in the building? I was sitting there thinking I should have been in the building. I could tell people on the floor, men laying prostrate, more people down front. There was something happening in the room and I wasn't there. And I was thinking, girl, you should have gone to church. You should have gone to church. Sometimes you just need to make sure you don't miss out and that you're in the room. So this morning you all are here and you're in the room. You're not missing out. That's amazing. And here's the blessing for December. Because we are not doing the podcast, because I am not putting up new content on YouTube, this live won't go down, y'all. Isn't that great? It's gonna just stay up, so you can tell all your friends to come and watch this live because whatever. It's gonna stay up. We're gonna be putting some great content up on YouTube. The magical Chrystal Hurst, who has been on the team, interned for 2 years, volunteered her time, And now as an official part of our team in an official capacity, made sure y'all are going to have something to watch and view for your listening and viewing pleasure. But you're in the room this morning. There are some people that are not going to be in the room, and there are sometimes when I give things away, when I do things like right now, like right now, I think I'm about to do it. Sorry, Emily, I didn't tell you in advance, but I'm feeling it. So I feel like I want to give somebody Is it 6 months, Emily? You can let me know. You can double confirm before I give it away. It's either 3 or 6 months in the membership. I am going to— I'm gonna give it away when Emily double confirms, but I'm gonna give it away into the membership because sometimes You just don't know until you know. You just don't know until you know. So we're going to give it away to somebody who is not in the inner circle, and I'm going to ask a question that's going to have us, uh, giving things away. All right, okay, 3. It is 3 months. I'm about to give away 3. Y'all are so churchy, so churchy. I am ready for my blessing, Chrystal Hurst. I love it, I love it so much. 3 months in the inner circle. Let me see how we're gonna do this. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. In the room. Huh. Yeah, I'm gonna make you work for it. Give me one scripture with reference. So you may have to Google while you're doing this, and it can be any scripture, but it has to specifically speak to this point. Give me one scripture that talks about how we should operate with other people. It can be about community. It can be about love. It can be about how you talk to other people. I need you to give me a scripture. You have to give me the scripture and then also the reference. You got to know that it was in Revelation, Genesis 1:1. Okay, so go ahead, go, go. I'm giving away 3 months in the Inner Circle because sometimes you just need to be in the room. While y'all are putting the answers down, because Emily's going to pick somebody Here's what I want to make sure that you do not miss out on in the future. Now, sometimes you can be online, sometimes you need to be in the room. Mark your calendars for January the 5th and the 6th, and I got a graphic to show you. Let me show you my graphic. Here you go. Come on, there we go. January the 5th and 6th, we are doing another Sister Circle live event. It is in Cedar Hill, Texas. That's just right outside of Dallas, not too far. The Brick by Brick is our theme for the event. Our theme for the year is building your life, building it on a firm foundation, and building it one step at a time. Will you be able to watch online? Yes, you can go right now to thesistercircle.com/live for more information. But sometimes, y'all, you just need to be in the room. So if you're in Dallas, come on. If you want to get to Dallas, come on. It is going to be a Friday night and a Saturday full of conversations between me and friends. You're basically going to be watching me interview live some of my faves. Friday night is going to be a night of worship with a special word from me. And if you want to be in the room, I'd love to have you join. Now here's the other thing that really matters. If you want to come a day early and plan your year, think planner meets vision boarding meets let me be decisive and intentional about what I'm going to do in 2024. And you want a guide for that. I I always think, y'all, this isn't that hard. But people join me every time and they say, I don't know what it is, but, but I was able to do with you in one day what I can never do by myself. And that's to map out my year and map out the details in the next few months. That is Thursday— I'm sorry, that is Friday during the day. So you can come in Thursday night and join me Friday morning for an all-day event that is tied to but not included with the live event. It's called the Own Your Life Summit. It's the summit where we walk through what is meaningful to your life, what you're not doing that you should be doing, what and how you can get activated to move that, move that thing forward. So you can come to just the event Friday night and Saturday, the live event, or you can come early for the summit. But there are many more, many less spots in the summit than there are for the live event. So thesistercircle.com/live. If you can only be online, you can do it. But if you want to be in the room, I want to encourage you to join me. I love to see you there. The other thing is, if you are an Inner Circle member and you come to this event in person, you are the only VIP there is. You can't pay for VIP. Inner Circle will have a VIP reception. You have preferred seating. So if you're in the Inner Circle and you are in the room in person, then you get a special VIP status. So the other thing that you want to make sure that you're in the room for is the Inner Circle. Y'all have heard me talk about— let me put all the things up here because I'm trying to, I'm trying to get my life together. And I cannot. Hold on, let me change this. Mm-mm, mm-mm. Hold on. This is me. Oh, that is the link to register for the live event. I'm gonna put this up here. And then this is the link to register for the Inner Circle. Let me fix this. No. Now here's why you need to register for the Inner Circle and you need to come on in the room quick. You want to know why? Because the Inner Circle doors are closing January 8th. Let me fix this all. January 8th, we're going to close the doors. Let me tell you why. Because next year I want to be super committed and focused on those who are in the room. And it takes us time to get people in, to get them their t-shirt, to get them set up, to answer their questions. We're going to open the door and, um, close them on January 8th so that those who are in the room who say, Chrystal, you know what? Yeah, I'm here. And you can leave at any time. But if you're in the room on January 8th in the inner circle, then we have a specific growth plan because I want to give you the steps for building your life. Let's talk about practical one-on-one, your emotional stability. Let's talk about your relational communication. Let's talk about your financial well-being. Let's talk about setting boundaries with people. Let's talk about your body image. Let's talk about understanding your body type. Let's talk about some 101s or some 201s. Those conversations— I'm gonna still go live every Monday, but the conversations where we are teaching, where you're getting that, that practical curriculum-based coaching with me or with other members of the Sister Circle, other encouragers that I would trust you with That is a growth path. It is a growth path that will have downloads. It will have, um, support for you to gather your own sister circle. So if you're like, okay, yeah, Chrystal gives me all the things and I give y'all a lot of things online, but you want a path for development and growth because you want to be serious, then join the inner circle before January the 8th, because after that the doors are closed. We may open them next year. We may open them. 6 months from now, but it ain't gonna be in February, March, April, May, or June. I can tell you that much. So if you're interested and you've been thinking about it, do it. Now here's the deal. In my email list, Emily Makinote, in my email list, I'm gonna put a link for you to join the Inner Circle for your first month half off. That's me. So you can register, but wait for the email because I'm gonna give you my special referral link, but you can only get it if you're in my email. To join for your first month half off. So that way, if you're like, I just— I need to know what I'm getting into before I make a commitment. I get that. I get that. All right. So I want you to be in the room. I want you to be in the room for the live. I want you to be in the room for the Inner Circle. I want you to be in the room. Go get more information about that. Okay. Now, next thing I want to tell you about, I've told you so far, get what you need to get. Quit waiting. When you get that feeling that you need to get it, buy it so you don't have to feel bad later that you didn't get it. Number 2, find the middle ground. Okay. You got to have those hard conversations. You got to do what you got to do. You got to say what you got to say in love, but you have to say it because there's no point in being too hot or too cold or miserable. If you got to sleep with this person for the rest of your life, you need to figure that out. Number 3, you need to go to church. Sometimes you don't want to go to church. Get in the building. Be in somebody's church. Online church ain't the same thing as in-person church. Some of you can be online and feel the spirit, but you're not in person to experience the spirit. There's something that happens when you feel that bass guitar or that drummer hitting that kick and that you feel that reverberating in your soul. Mm-hmm. And sometimes just the Holy Spirit is just running rampant through a room and you need to be there. That's the third thing. Here's number four. Here's number four. Let me clear my screen, y'all. Here's number four. I'm about to tell on myself. I'm about to tell on myself. Uh, the winner of our Inner Circle is L-E-L-L-E Chance. Did you double check Emily to make sure she's not already in it? L Chance. I had plenty of time to share those scriptures. Some of y'all need to take notes, write these scriptures down, because they just gave you a whole Bible study this morning. This is why we love the chat so much. L-E-L-L-E Chance, C-H-A-N-C-E. Welcome to the Inner Circle community level. Glad you're joining us. And you can, uh, go to, uh, email hello@thesistercircle.com and our sweet Emily is going to get you in. Woohoo! Glad you made it in. Glad you made it in the room. Number 4, I'm about to tell on myself. Jesus help, Jesus help. Get the larger size. Get the larger size. So I had to go to an event this weekend. I had a great time at the event. I had an amazing time at the event. So happy. This is an event that I spoke at last year. I'm gonna probably post about her on social. Later today. I spoke last year. It was her initial event. This is me doing the most. Let me let y'all see my whole body contorted. My whole body contorted. This is me. They caught me in a full-on spin. Listen, I can only do the nasty dances, okay? I'm not even that nasty. I don't even dance well. But for some reason, when I try to move, my body contorts in ways that it should not in the Holy of Holies. So I try not to do that too much, but this is me. A girlfriend caught me while I was spinning. I had a great time, y'all, an amazing time at this event. I spoke there last year, was her first inaugural event. This year the Lord blessed me and I said, thank you, Lord, for reminding me that you are my source. Thank you, thank you so much for letting me know that you got my back. Thank you for letting me know that in a year where I'm not as cash positive, cash flow flowing as I would like to be, you let me know that you got me. You know what the Lord told me? He told me, no, no, that's not what I'm telling you. So what do you mean? What do you mean? He said, pass it on. So y'all, I bought a table. I bought a table. I have never in my life bought a table because other people with money buy tables, not yours truly. So I was like, I told the Lord, I'm gonna go to her event. I'm gonna support. I'm gonna get a seat. He said, no. Buy a table. I said, are you sure, Lord? Are you sure? And I told her this. Donna Hickman is an amazing woman. I told her that. She actually— there's a, there's an interview on my YouTube channel with her in it. You should watch that. It was not a planned podcast. I just— we just went live last Friday because I was like, you need to know who she is and you need to know what she's about. You should watch that. You should absolutely watch that. But anyway, I told her, girl, listen, the Lord is doing things because he told me to buy a table. So praise the Lord, hallelujah, I'll be there. So y'all, I gotta look decent, right? You can see I had on a, you know, slightly decent dress, um, but you can see that it's short. So that meant that I had to go get pantyhose. Can you see where this is going? So a friend of mine said, you just need to go get some pantyhose. You need to get the pantyhose with a line down the back so it just looks on purpose. So I went to Dillard's We know people don't really buy pantyhose anymore, but they have a small pantyhose section. But it just looked ransacked. So I asked the lady, where's all the pantyhose? She said, well, because, you know, people, we don't sell as much as we used to. So when it comes in stock, people just buy it up. Like they, they buy tons of it. And then we just don't have much left. So I'm going around looking for my black pantyhose with the line. They didn't have that. They didn't have that. They just had regular black pantyhose. And then they had thigh highs, okay? So I'm looking for some thigh highs with the line down the back because I'm trying to do my best to be, you know, fashionable or whatever. Y'all, I couldn't find that. So then I had to decide, am I going to get thigh highs or am I going to get regular pantyhose? And I was like, I don't know if I want to get regular pantyhose because I don't want to deal with the roll down. Like, they didn't have no control top, you know, they didn't have any panty top, they just had the thin top. And I was like, I know what the thin top is going to do around my belly, it's just going to go, and you know, then I'm gonna be walking around with my circulation cut off right below my fupa, you know what I'm saying? It's just like, I don't want that. So I opted for the thigh highs. When I looked at the thigh highs and I was looking at the sizes, I was like, I think this gonna be too big, but I think this gonna be too small. And then I said, girl, this ain't pantyhose. This don't have to go up all the way over your— all the way over your midsection. It doesn't have to come cover the front and the back of your Coke bottle. It just needs to go up your thigh. Your thighs ain't the bigger size. Your, your midsection may have a lot going on, a lot of Oompa Loompa, but your thighs, girl, you got good legs. That's— this is what I'm telling myself in the store. I'm telling myself in the store, girl, you got good legs. I am literally in the store hyping myself up. I am hyping myself up to do what I want to do, which is buy the smaller size. So the whole time, y'all, I was at this event Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. The whole time I'm at the, at the event, I am walking with my legs shut like, and I'm walking and I'm taking baby steps. And the girls that I'm with, all the 10 women that came with me, they were like, are you okay? Does your foot hurt? Is that— I said, girl, I'm just trying to keep these thigh highs up. That's all I'm trying to do. That's all I'm trying to do because my dress is short, and if these thigh highs roll down, I'm gonna look so crazy. And you know, if I bend over, they're going to see the back of my middle thigh. They're going to see the hamstring muscle. Popping out. So I had these thigh highs on, and all I could think was, girl, you should have gotten the bigger size. You stood in that store and convinced yourself— you convinced yourself that you didn't need the bigger size. You convinced yourself that you were who you were 5 years ago. You convinced yourself that change had not occurred. You convinced yourself that you needed something smaller to say something. Why did you do that to yourself? You chose, uh, a label over your comfort. What is wrong with you? Something is wrong with you. Don't do that ever again. Don't do that ever again. I am literally, y'all, sitting at the table praying to God that underneath the table the people that are sitting with me at the table can't see me, because all night long I would just reach up, I would stretch my leg under the table, and I would pull it up and lift the back buttock, you know what I'm saying? Just the back buttock. I'd lift it up and just pull it up, trying to get it around. I just was doing this all night long, all night long. And let me tell you something, there is nothing Worse to do than to lie to yourself so that you can put on a certain size or a certain thing that ain't for you. It's not for you. I would have been better off with the pantyhose version, with the full coverage one, because at least it would have just rolled down and what, what, you know, and, and my shelf would have caught it. You see what I'm saying? It would have only been able to go so far, honey. My backside, my derriere would have been like, stop in the name of the Lord, you can go no further. It would have rolled down, but at least it would have stopped. At least I would have been worried that people are seeing the hairs on the back of my hamstring. I just cannot. I cannot. So this is me telling you, get the size you need, girl. Turn to your neighbor and say, get the size you need. So I've told you to get the device. You know you're supposed to do it. Get the thing you need. Stop waiting and then being mad that you waited. I've told you to find the middle ground. December is too late in the year for you to be holding your breath, right? We got to go into January clean. You need to say what you got to say. And say it in love. Number 3, go to church. Don't miss the spirit. You need to be in the room. Number 4, whether you wearing thigh highs, whether you wearing a t-shirt, whether you wearing some underwear, whether you getting some— I mean, I literally just saw this. I literally just saw it. Did I save this? Did I? Please tell me I saved it. I, I pray I saved it. Let me see. If I didn't save it, y'all, I, I just— I, I 'Cause let me tell you what it said, and I'm gonna paraphrase. Have you ever picked up some underwear and thought, oh, this looks so big, and then you put it on and it fit like a glove? That's literally what it said. I did not say that, folks. I did not say that. Other people said that. Did I share it with my— did I share it with my— sometimes, y'all, the reason why stuff be late is because I'm the only one posting on my social. And the reason why I'm posting on my social is because, yep, here it is, proof in the pudding. This is it right here. If this will focus, will this focus? It says, y'all ever buy underwear and take them out the package and be like, dang, those are big, and then you put them on and they fit like a glove? I'm so serious right now. Hold on, I'm gonna put this on my phone. I'm about to edit this down because I— because this is, this is, this is life indeed. I told y'all to get the right size. That's what I said. That's what I said. Yes, that's what I said. Oh, this is amazing. If I can, when the light comes up a little bit more, I'll let y'all see the ocean. If I can't, it's not quite light enough, but this is amazing. Apart from me being afraid that somebody's gonna climb over my balcony and kill me, this is amazing. The ocean is right there. It's right there. That's crazy. Okay, so let me, let me, let me share the love of the Lord because some of y'all need this in your life. I believe you need this in your life. Hold on, here it come. But no, don't tell Jesse Hurst. I was not— if he asked me, did I hear you were on there talking about underwear? I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna deny it. Here we go. I'm telling you, I can't make this stuff up. I cannot make this stuff up. This is literally from Instagram. This is literally from Instagram. Mm-hmm. Y'all, and the, and the, and the, and the in the comments. I'm telling you, we're all here for the chat. That's it, we're all here for the chat. All right, please pray. That was not on my list. I'm sorry, y'all, I digress. Get the thing you need, find the middle ground, go to church, thigh highs or anything else, get the size you need. The last thing is get to the airport early. So let me tell you what had happened. What had happened was last night I had a flight at 8:45. Turn to your neighbor and say 8:45. Plenty of time. The last person left my house at about 6. That's plenty of time for me to throw some things in. I'm here in San Diego for a meeting, and it's a meeting that I can be comfortable in. So legit, I got tights and some, some of my favorite t-shirts, throw on a jacket, I'm good to go. But I was trying to figure out for y'all how to get this live situated. So I'm packing all these things into my carry-on. Then I get a notification that says your flight is delayed. It's delayed 10 minutes. I was like, oh great, that's all I need. So I pulled out some luggage to check. Y'all already know where this is going. So I was like, let me split this up so my carry-on luggage isn't so big and so I can bring some of the other pieces. Because y'all, legit, I legit have whole tripods in this room. Seriously, I don't know if I can do this anymore. Let's see, let's see, can I do this? Can I— let's see. I wonder how I reconnect it because I want to show y'all my cameras. Manage network cameras. Add one. Oh. Man, I have to figure that out. Anyway, the point is my phone was connected and now it's not connected, but that's okay. Oh, let's see. So I'm bringing all the things and I'm packing now a carry-on and a check bag because why not? Why would I not do that? Why would I not bring all my stuff so I can be live and be stable, right? On my way to the airport, this has never happened in my whole life, y'all, in my whole doggone life. On my way to the airport, they changed the time back to 8:45. Now I drive like a bat out of Hades. I know exactly how long it's gonna take me to get to the airport, and I know that now I've got 10 extra minutes to check my bag. So I pull up with all the confidence in the world and do what you're not supposed to do. I take my keys out of my car because I'm driving myself. I lock my car. I take my check bag in and I go straight to the counter. I fly priority. I'm Executive Platinum. I go to the desk. No, there's no line. I'm amazed. I put my thing up there and he says, "Oh, I'm sorry. The cutoff has already occurred." I said, "What do you mean? It's 8:02. The flight doesn't leave until 8:54." He said, "No, it leaves at 8:00." 45. I said, no, it doesn't. At least at 8:54. And I show him my boarding pass, and he says, no, they changed the time back. In all of my life, all of my life, y'all, all of my life, all my life, I prayed for someone like you. Don't tell my daddy I know that song. Um, you know what would have fixed all of that? You know what it would have fixed? 'Cause at this point, now I got a decision to make. Am I gonna now rush and try to put everything back in the carry-on to make my flight? Or am I gonna take the next flight out? And I just said, "Stop stressin', stop runnin', Chrystal. Just take the next flight out." So then I had to spend another 2 hours in the airport. Had I just had 15, 20 minutes of cushion, That wouldn't happen. There are certain things in life, y'all, that you can do, you can do at the last minute. And going to the airport is one of them. I'm one of those people who goes through the— I go through security and then walk onto the plane. I don't like sitting in the— I don't like sitting unless I got 2 hours and I can go into the Admirals Club and like get some work done. I don't want to sit there for 15 or 20 minutes. I don't live well with margin. It's a discipline I have to practice. But if you get to the airport early, let me tell you what happens. You don't stress, your adrenaline is not running. You don't have to get bumped to the next flight. You don't have to take 2 hours. Had I gotten to the airport early or even just decided, you know what, I want to take my time packing. I'm going to move my flight back. You want to know what I would have had time to do? I would have had time to take off my makeup at home. I would have had time to take off my makeup. There are some things that are better done earlier than later. There are some decisions that you need to make going into 2024 earlier than later. I have read this book twice. I've reviewed it 3 times. Um, this was recommended to me by someone I admire in business, and I'm that kind of writer where I underline and write. My books sometimes are like journals because I, I interact, I annotate my books very, very well. I just, you know, this is what I do. I underline, I write, I put things in the margin. One of the things that this book talks about, and I'm gonna talk a little bit more to you about this inner circle, because we're about to get off of here. I'm gonna jump into my conversation with you because I need to tell y'all about the termites, the deck, the creature in the wall. We're gonna talk about bed-rotting, twin flames, and Mother God. It's a whole thing. I'm gonna tell y'all about that in a minute. But one of the things that this guy talks about, and I'm gonna talk, I'm gonna mention this, and then I'm gonna get off and get, go deeper with the Inner Circle this morning, is the concept of your shadow self. Because the question I want to ask you is, why, if you know you need the device, would you not get it? Why would you know that you're freezing cold or you're burning up and not communicate it? Why would you know that you should go to church and you not show up? Why would you know that you need the larger size in the thigh highs or the underwear or the dress and not get it? Why would you not arrive early to the airport so you're not stressed? Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why. Because your shadow self you are appeasing or ignoring your real self. Your real self will say, I don't want to be stressed, get to the airport a few minutes early. Your shadow self says, let me show you how we can do this another way. Your real self will say, girl, you just need to be comfortable when you go to that party, when you dance, when you hang out on the dance floor, when you meet— hold on, hold on, hold on, I almost forgot to show y'all this. I almost, almost forgot to show y'all this. Hold on just a second. Let me, let me do the most. You need to be comfortable. You don't need to be thinking twice about how you look when you meet Miss Tina Knowles. You don't, you don't need to be stressed and thinking about your thighs. Your real self will say, girl, be in that space and be comfortable and confident. Your shadow self says, I'm not gonna even be in the pictures. I'm not gonna let anybody, you know, I'm just gonna go and support and go home. No, girl, you're gonna get pulled into a picture, and you don't need to be praying to God that your thahis don't come down. Your real self would say— your real self would say, go to church, because your shadow self says it doesn't really matter if I go. Your shadow self is the part of you that you act like is the real you while the real you suffocates. The real you is out here looking at your life, looking at your health. The shadow self says, that won't happen to me, I don't need to take those pills, I know I miss my doctors but it'll be okay. The real self says, take care of me, watch over me, treat me like a queen, pay attention to what I need, be where you need to be, say what you need to say, go where you need to go, get what you need to get, be where you need to be in the time frame that works best for you. That's the real self. Your shadow self walks around doing a lot of convincing, staying busy with other things that don't matter. Your shadow self will stay satisfied by things that don't matter. And when you tell yourself things like, I don't have time, you're telling you that yourself that because your shadow self is busy doing things that don't matter. Let me find my quote here about the shadow self. Cause I gotta find my quote for y'all. Where are you, quote? I'm telling y'all like I know it cause I done read this a few times. Hold on. Where's my shadow self? Where'd you go? Where'd you go? I might have to find this when I go over to the Inner Circle space. Ah, I cannot find it. I thought I marked it, but I didn't. Hold on, give me, give me 30 seconds more. Well, y'all got the definition from me. How about that? Listen, let me give you this. This is about the amateur, okay? The amateur allows his worth and identity to be defined by others. Oh my God, this ocean is stupid. I need to, I need to figure out how to show. Okay. The amateur allows his worth and identity to be defined by others. The amateur creeps third-party validation. The amateur is tyrannized by his imagined conception of what is expected of him. The amateur is imprisoned by what he ought to, what he believes he ought to think, what he believes he ought to look like, what he believes he ought to do. Or who he ought to be, or who other people think he needs to be. And the amateur fears above all else becoming seen and judged as himself or herself. The amateur is inauthentic. He remains someone other than who he really is. You are living in your shadow self if you are living other than who you really are. And when you know what you need and you don't get it, you're living in your shadow self. When you know what conversation you need to have and you don't have it, or you go to have the conversation and you shrink back— because I did that last week— you are living in your shadow self. When you know you need to be connected in community, in spiritual community, and you just say, well, people hurt me, I don't like women, you're living in your shadow self. When you don't get the right size thigh highs, or you keep keep buying clothes that don't fit, or you won't go get the clothes that do fit, you are living in your shadow self. And when you don't arrive early to the point of your departure, when you're not serious about getting where you need to get on time— you can get there, you can take some other way, but when you're serious and you want to make the flight you booked, you put your energy into doing what you need to do. Otherwise, you're living in your shadow self. That's why people are always late, because they think they have time. You know you always late. So you need to live in your authentic self. I wanted to talk to you this morning about— this is called Turning Pro. I'll put a link to it in the email. So for those of y'all who showed up late, here's what I told y'all about. Oh, and I also told you if you want to join the Inner Circle and try it out, then you can use the coupon, the link in the email, because you'll get half off of your Inner Circle membership. Okay, the name of the book is Turning Pro, but I will put the link in the email. All right, Inner Circle, I got other things to tell you about. Listen, y'all, it's December. If you haven't done it, it's not too late to start it. If you didn't dream it, it's not too late to make the plan for it. If you got behind, you are not behind as long as you get back up and you keep running. It is December. It is too late in the year for you to be living in your shadow self. It is too late in the year for you to be an amateur of you. It is time. If you don't know what you want, how you want it, or how to get it, it's time for you to devote the time and energy to discovering how to live the best version of your life. Because God only put one of you on this planet and he intended for you to use every gift, develop every talent, and see every person and place that he has designed for you to see. He is not going to do that, though, by force. He invites you to participate with him. So there are some things that you don't want to do that you just need to start doing. There are some purchases you don't want to make that you just need to start purchasing. There are some places you need to go, some conversations you need to have. Certain things that you need to size up for, and it's okay. It's where you are. There are certain things that you need to quit arriving last to and get there first so that you have the conversations with the people in the room. There are some registrations you need to pay. There are some classes you need to take. There are some communities you need to join. It is too late in the year, and it's too late in your life to play. You are dilly-dallying with your shadow self. Adam and Eve in the garden, the only reason why she ate that apple, the The only reason is because she believed Satan's description of her shadow self. Hey, I got a tingle down my spine. When you are skipping out on your life, it's because you are choosing to agree with the enemy about your shadow self, because he would much rather you play it safe in the shadows than come out front and win. So this is me telling you, I want you to win. And I hope that the foolery this morning and a little laughter also turned serious gets you to do and take action somewhere. I hope this has blessed you. And if, if you need more, if you need to know how to build your life brick by brick, if you need to figure out emotional stability, anxiety, relational health, body image, financial freedom, spiritual growth, This is why I do what I do, because I want to help. And if I don't know it, I'm willing to go find someone who does. All right, y'all, talk to you soon. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Somebody said, how can I join the email list? You just go to chrystalhurst.com, and right below my picture you'll see a place to put your name and your email. All right, y'all, talk to you later. Have a great December. This is what I was doing at the dance floor the other day. This is why I can't do it. This is why I can't. Y'all can't. You can't. You can't. I can't. Mm-hmm. Happy December!
