Short spoken transcript describing a solo basketball shooting workout focused on variability and practicing imperfect shots to become a better shooter. The routine moves from mid-range makes to three-point shots, varies footwork (hop, inside-out, outside-in), uses variable relocations, 'bad' footwork, and bad-pass shooting, with set make targets (e.g., 12 mid-range makes, 10 makes for bad-footwork and bad-pass).

Here's a variability based workout you can do by yourself if you want to become a better shooter. We started off here in the mid range, just getting into any sort of float into a shot missing up the spot and the shot that we're shooting. After 12 makes, we moved back to the three point line and did the same thing again. Next we mixed up our footwork between the hop and inside outside and outside inside step. We went for sets of at least two out of three makes right here. And we went to the next footwork regardless of make or miss. After that we went variable relocation shots. So you'll start along the three point line and then relocate either direction into your shot. Next we went bad footwork shot. So we're mixing up our footwork after every shot. And the rule here is that your feet can be anything but normal. So they can be wide, they can be narrow, they can be staggered. This has to be weird. And we went for 10 makes. And lastly we did bad pass shooting, so the ball is going to be high, low, left, right, anything but normal. And we went here for 10 makes as well. If you want to be a great shooter, you have to be able to make imperfect shots. This is a great way to do that.
