So this is a workout I went through with my brother. We start off with a little bit of ball handling to get warmed up. Then we transition that right into shooting off of the dribble. But as you guys will see, there's a big reactionary focus in this workout. We pretty much work everything up to a reactionary component where he has to listen to what I'm saying and then react to that. This has a more complex element to these drills and makes that not only is it more fun, but also it's more effective because you can't just go on autopilot. He's got to hear what I'm saying and react to it. So grab a teammate or grab a friend and. And you guys can go through this workout together. Let's get into it.
We'll just one as a pit warmed up, but for now, we'll go stationary. Just going to go one dribble, and then we're going to go with, like, a little bit of a wide crossover. But it's all about the feet right here. So I'm here, and then I'm kind of lifting up, so I'm kind of dropping my feet. So my feet are changing as if I was going to drive that way. I'm up left foot, then right foot, and then I'm crossing over. Being able to kind of shift or sell that guy this way. So here. There. I'll get even more of a like from here and then out. Be kind of narrow. Yeah.
Good.
Now get your. Now get your body going. We're gonna go double cross over, but it doesn't feel too intense. Okay, then we're gonna go drop. And so I'll be here.
One, two, drop. One.
And I'm right back into it. Go to the left. Now we're doing the same thing, but off behind the back. So I'm here.
One, two, drop, go.
Okay, I'll give you one more triple to push out now. Okay.
Right.
Stick with that behind the back.
Go.
Right hand to start off. Now we're going to go into that crossover. We're just going to station it.
Okay.
Here.
One.
And when you go, really think about shifting that guy on that cross. Good.
It.
One more thing to it. So the ball's going to stay in your right hand the whole time. Now we're just going to add a behind the back. Scoff with it.
Okay.
There. So let's keep it with that between cross. Then we'll go cross over. You're going up here. Here. Now just to think about. Let's go after that between cross, raise yourself up a little bit and then go into it. Okay, there we go. Good. Take it fast, slow, fast. Again, pull up.
That's.
I probably want you to set up this guy. It's a nicer situation. So I don't care how you do it, I don't care if you want to go slow into it and then go. I don't care if you want to go. But whatever it is, you have to go out of that crossroad into your shot. Good. We're going to stay with that similar thing. So now it's going to be reacting. So all that means is you're going to go into that same thing, claim that you want to play him and you're going to go into that move right there. Okay. So boom, boom there. Okay. If I don't say anything to you, just pull up. Okay. If I say, let's see what I want to say, I'll just say go. If I say go, then it's some sort of counter offense. Okay, so into that move, that might mean if you're there, I'll go. That could be there, that could be your shot. That could be move there, there.
Go, go.
Stop. Whatever you want to do up here. If I say three, you're going into that. The three point shot off the dribble play pace two. Getting at the mid range for the four. The catch is as you start to go, I can give you. I can three and I can quit in two. I do three again and you gotta get to go. If you get that shot before I corner the number then gotta go to that.
Three. Oh, two, three, two.
And that's your shot.
Three.
Get five.
Three, two, three, two, three, two. Got it. Two, three, two.
Good, get one more.
Two, three, two, three. Two, three, two, three. Three, two, three, two. Nice.
Three more.
Here we go. Two, three, two.
Nice. Get in there. Let's go.
Three, two, three.
Here again, I think we did this yesterday before but we're gonna add some reaction stuff to it. So one, two, boom. Go right, left. Okay, so let's go with the extension. Now get back to the left side. So now same, the exact same difference is keeping the feet forward. If I could do right. Right side finish. Left, left side, finish. Okay, but face forward.
Right.
Right.
Right, left.
That's a good drill. Like the last screaming at him.
Left, right, left, right.
Right.
Right, left, right, right, left, right, left.
Ten mates and you can't miss two in a row and you're back to zero. Okay, so just reset it up to the wing every Time we'll drop.
It.
He's freaking butter, dude. Bro, this is raw footage. Oh, my God. It sounds like a find my iPhone.
Oh, yeah. Okay, then you got to get a set of three for four. Then you got to get a set of two for two.
Two for four or what?
What?
You said two for four.
It.
One for one.
Here we go. How many times does he got to shoot it in order to master it?
Two in a row?
No. Isn't it like 10,000 or something?
Yeah, I mean, that's the same.
Yeah, that's what I meant.
Yeah, it is 10,000. 10,000 hours.
Good.
Decide that.
It. There it is.
Did you do it? Yo, Cam, what time is it?
So a lot of reactionary stuff, as you guys saw, where I'm giving a command, so it makes it a little more game. Like it's easy to go on autopilot when you're playing just because, you know, it's like, oh, you're going through and you're doing a pull up or you're doing a layup or whatever. And it's like, oh, you know, there's no defense out here, so I don't.
Have to think about it.
But now when you have that reactionary element to it, where you going left, right, or whatever, the call might be two or three. Now you have to. That.
That.
That's another part that you have to think about. So you can't be an autopilot the whole time. So I just find that it's better. And then we got a lot of shots up at the end too. Shots that he has to hit consistently to get to where he wants to get to because that's going to be his job. So those are. So that's stuff that we definitely have to hit as well. And all that together, it's a solid workout.
