A coaching-oriented YouTube video (Increase Your Scoring IQ!) by Ethan Khoza that explains scoring fundamentals: focus on mastering the most common offensive situations, understand how defenses (closeouts and help rotations) operate, and exploit defenders' angles to get downhill, create scoring chances for yourself, and generate opportunities for teammates. Emphasizes that these principles apply to both shooters and non-shooters.

A lot of times players think that being a great offensive player has to do with having a bunch of moves or being able to hit all these crazy shots, or being able to make all these different highlight plays. But really what it comes down to is being great at the situations that happen the most. And understand the way that defenses operate and how you can exploit that. And we see different types of players be successful using this stampede. Not only does it work for players who can shoot the three, and that defenders have to worry about closing out quickly too, to not give up that three, but it works for players who aren't great shooters as well. Because. Because regardless of how hard that defender is closing out, they're still rotating over from help, which means that if you attack in order to exploit that angle that they're coming from, you're going to be able to get downhill and make a play. And when you as a player understand that, not only are you going to create more for yourself, but you're going to put pressure on other health defenders, meaning that you're going to create opportunities for your teammates to do the same thing, to create drives for them and open shots.
