Coach Ethan Khoza introduces a home shooting workout for basketball players, explaining that the drills can be done with only a basket or even a wall as a target. He emphasizes accuracy and mechanics, practicing off the catch and off the dribble, and gives a key tip: identify and lock onto the rim early before shooting. He also promotes a free private basketball training group and asks viewers to subscribe and comment.

What's up, guys? Coach Ethan A lot of you guys have asked me about a shooting workout you guys can do at home. So that's what we're going to get into today. We're going to go through a few drills here that are really going to help you guys to key in on your accuracy and improve your mechanics as a shooter. We're going to work off the catch, off the dribble, really going to focus on some of the nuances of shooting. So really take this time, become a better shooter, understand the value of what you're doing and get better. Now, obviously, most of you probably don't have access to a gym. That's okay. If you have a basket outside at a park where you can be by yourself, go for it. All you need is a basket. Doesn't have to be fancy, anything like that. Just get there and get it done. The other thing I'll say is if you don't have a basket, find a wall, you know, maybe outside of your house or at some other building and put a target on that wall or look at an area on that wall and have that be your target. So even if you don't have a basket, you can still do these drills. Just be creative with it. Again, this is not ideal, obviously, but make the most of it, okay? That's all you can do right now. We're going to get a lot of reps up, a couple keys I want you guys to focus on. When we're doing these sort of specialized shooting drills where we're going off of the dribble, we're doing some stuff coming out of the hop. Before you guys shoot the ball, I want you guys to identify the rim as early as possible. Lock onto your target as quickly as you can. So when you're dribbling, about to go into your jump shot, get your eyes up and find that rim as quickly as possible. That's going to help you to become more accurate, and you guys are going to see your accuracy, your shooting percentage go up just by doing that, by identifying locking onto the rim as early as possible. And you'll see that as we go along. Let's get into it. If you guys enjoyed this workout, hit that, like, button and subscribe as well.
