All right, y', all, let's get started. Grab that basketball a little bit of space. Get started with a quick warm up. I really love today's workout. We're gonna get better today. Shout out. South Carolina, Georgia. Got the whole world in here. All right, let's get going. So grab that ball. We're going taps first. Real low. Okay, right hand. Here we go. Left hand, left hand. We go as low as you can go real quick. It's all right if you lose. It's all right if you lose it. Real low. All right, here's what we're doing. We're going around the right leg. Okay? All tap going backwards. Here we go. You see me? Real low. Switch to that left. Going backwards again. Go back to that right hand. Now we're going the opposite direction. One hand. Here we go. Good. Switch to that left hand. Good. So real quick. Here's where we're going now. Going straight in and out. Dribbles. All right, no dribbles in between. Ball my right hand to start right here. In and outs. Here we go. Push that left. Push yourself. Here we go. Good. Ball in that right hand. Going V dribbles. All right, so in and out, V dribble, boom, boom, boom. Just left, right hand. Here we go. We're gonna go once you get 30, 30 with your right. Switch to your left. Here we go. Let me know who's done. Let me know when you're done. Keep it rolling. Good work. Good work. Good work, guys. Give me a good 20 minutes right here. We're going to get better. Done. Good job, Sam. Good job, Jaden. All right, here's where we're going. We're going to go into walk the dog. So this is on the side now. So only difference we were doing V's in front. Now we're going on the side so it'll look like front, back like that. All right? Right hand. 30 left hand. 30. Go. Keep pushing it. Let me know when you're done. Keep pushing it, keep pushing it. Get better, get better. We go. Stick with me, guys. Sam, Good job. Good job, good job. All right, hey, when you're finished, here's what we're doing. We're going V, dribble, walk the dog. Okay, so how's this gonna look? One, two, one, two, one, two, One, two. No dribbles in between. Four. Front, side, front, side. All right, we're getting 20 on each hand. All right, so one or so, boom, boom, boom, boom. That's one. Same thing. Two, right? Go ahead. Let me know when you're done. Where we at? Where we at? Who's finished up? Keep pushing it, guys. Got one. Good job, guys. Good job. Good job. Keep pushing it, keep pushing it. Job, Panda man. All right, get a little more advanced here. Going into our east, west pound so I want you guys to pick out a line on the ground. If you have an object, you can put it there. You don't need one, though. But I want you to imagine there's a line right there. You're dribbling this ball on both sides. So you start here. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Don't let the ball hit that line. All right? Working on to manipulate that basketball. Go here. Boom. They don't manipulate that basketball. All right, right hand, go ahead. That left hand. Same thing. Pick that line. Good. All right, you got water. Grab a quick break. Quick drink right here. You like? 15 seconds. Turn it up a little bit. All right, get a little bit advanced. Ian. What's up, my man? How you doing? Good. Quick drink break. Guys, once you have it, grab that ball. We're gonna go into our stationary cross steps. So all this is is you're going to take a step with that left leg. So ball's in your right hand. You're dribbling here. That's the cross step right there. Stepping into our defender. We're going to build off of that. But for now, I want us to be able to get from here to there. All right? So I'm going to go pound take that step. We're going to go six with the left, six with the right. All right, we're going to real simple. Boom. There's one, there's two, there's three, there's four, there's five, there's six. Okay, left, one, two. Let me know when you finish up. Let me know when you finish up. That's what we do, Jeremiah. That's what we do to get this work done. Got 10 more minutes, guys. Stick with it. Pardo, what's going on, man? Ian, good job. All right, now we're going to take what we just did. We're going to add a little game like element to it. So you're going to be here, ball in your right hand, left foot. You're going. Same thing. Dribble jab. Except this time you're gonna be doing a full replacement. Open up your hips. Out of it all. That means you're going from here to here. All right? See how I'm kind of hopping a little bit to switch my feet? So I'm here, here. When you land, I want you going in and out behind the back, all right? Then back to that right hand. Same thing. So we're here. Put your hand up right there. All right, that's what we're doing. I want eight per hand. Eight per hand. All right, here we go. Switch those hands when you got that eight. Let me know when you finish up. Keep working, guys. Keep working, keep working. Getting better. Flame hooves. What's up? Job. Ian. Where we at, guys? Keep it up. Job. Jaden, Derek. Good job, guys. All right, Sam. Good job. Here's what we're doing. We're going dribble jabs. Ball's in your right hand. You're pounding that ball. You're going to take a jab with that left foot now, so you're here. Boom. That's where you're going. You're selling that. You're driving that way. Then we move this way. Okay? So stay turned. Dribble jabs go 10 per leg or 10 per hand, whichever way you want to look at it. You get 10 with that right. Switch to that left hand. Make sure you sell it with your eyes, too. Switch hands when you're done. Good job, guys. Keep it up, Keep it up. Let me know when you finish it. All right? Keep it going, Keep it going. Hey, flame hoops. We're here. Getting better, man. I know it's tough. I wanted you guys to be challenged by this. We stay consistent with it. It'll become easy eventually. All right, but we gotta go. We gotta go through that. That struggle first. Panda man. Good job, Sam. Ian, Jing. Good job. All right, we're gonna go from that dribble jab into a one dribble. So we're here. Balls here. Dribble jab. Take one, go behind your back. We'll switch hands every time. So you'll start with that right? You're here. Boom. One behind. Retreat with that left now, so your left hand. Boom. There. One behind. Same thing back to that right hand there. All right, I want you to get 12 total. 12 total. Keep pushing it. 12 total. Here we go. Okay, if you messed it up, don't worry about it. Push yourself. Good. Keep going, guys. Keep going. Keep it up. Give me five more good minutes. Five more good minutes of this job, Ian. Keep pushing it, Jaden. It's all good, man. Do the best you can. Do the best you can. I see you in here all the time. We're going to keep getting better. Do the best you can. That's all I want from you. Do the best you can. This does help. This whole workout is really about being shifty and specifically these drills to finish it out. All right, good job, guys. Here's what we're doing. Going into our cross jab. Now, how this works. Ball in your right hand, you're going to cross the ball to your left. As you do that, you're going to step to the outside with your right foot. So ball is here. Boom. See that? I'm stepping the opposite way that I cross over, so right hand. Boom. Selling that, I'm driving this way. The ball's going this way, so I actually go that way. All right, Shifting that defender. Take it slow if you need to. At first, I want you to get 10 with each hand. 10 with each hand. You good, Jaden? Anyone else have connection problems? Let me know if you guys are good. Ian, you're good. All right, if you're good, go for it. I want you guys to start with the ball in your right hand. I want you to go 10. All right, so you're here. Good. Then once you get that 10 ball in that left hand. All right, here we go, guys. Keep going, Keep pushing, keep pushing. Do the best you guys can. This force a little advanced. All right? Do the best that you can. Good job, Sam. Steph Curry. Appreciate you listening to the podcast, bro. Done. Good job. Good job. Yeah, Check your Internet, Jaden, see what's up. That seems like everyone's good. Panda man. Good job, bro. All right, now what we're gonna do. Same thing. We're taking a dribble after. Now, ball in your right hand, you're gonna go cross jab to the left. Taking that step still but one dribble after that. Okay, so we're here. Take one dribble. Okay? I want it to be an explosive dribble. And after you do that, you're snatching behind the back. So you're here, there, behind the back. Retreat. Now we go the other way. We're here. There. Same thing. So actually, I guess we'll keep with the right hand the whole time. We'll go eight with the right hand, eight with the left hand. Okay, here we go. Keep pushing yourselves, guys. Do the best you can. The best you can. Keep pushing. We're almost done. Almost done. Stick with me. Job, Ian. Keep it up, guys. Keep it up. Got a couple more things. A couple more things. Good. Jeremiah, you stick with it, bro. I'm telling you, this stuff's gonna make you better. It's gonna make you better. Stay consistent with it. All right, here's what we're doing. Last thing before we get into our challenge. All right? So stay with it. So ball is gonna be in your right hands. We're doing behind the back shifts. So what this means you're going behind the back to your left, but you're shifting to the right. So that means I'm here behind. Oh, boom. I'm right here. Okay, watch that again. Right hand behind the back shift like that. You see, I'm creating space. I'm moving to the side. The ball's going that way. I'm shifting to the right side. All right. Right to left behind the back shift to that side. Once you get five. Five with your right hand starting. Five with your left hand starting. Let me know when you finish up. It good. Keep going, guys. Keep going. We got one more variation out of that, then we got our challenge. All right, bro. Sorry about that. I'm not sure what's going on. Job b. Keep pushing it, guys. Keep pushing it. Jeremiah, good job. Good job. All right, here's what we're doing. Last thing for the challenge. So we're going behind the back shifts into whatever kind of variation you want. So we'll go here. Boom. I want at least an in and out to start. So we go in and out between, cross, in and out between, between whatever you want to do. One of those two. So again, we're right here. Shift, shift. In and out between cross. All right, ball's back in that left hand now. Same exact thing. The same way here. Boom. There. All right, keep on pushing it. Let's go. Same thing. Five with each hand. It. Good job, guys. Good job. We're almost there. Keep going. We're almost there. Then we need to finish up. We got two more drills to finish it out, two more to finish it out. Where we at? Good work. Good work. All right, here's what we're doing. We're going time now, and like we always do, keep track of your reps. All right, I'm going to keep track of the time for you. So first drill, you're going to start with the ball in either hand. Doesn't matter. You're going to go feet planted the whole time. It's going to be between, between, between, cross, cross, Bind your back. All right, so between, between, between, behind, behind. Right back into that, between. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. You know what I'm saying? Keep going through that. Three between, two, behind. All right, we're going to go. We're going for 30 seconds of that. Keep track of how many reps that you get. All right, I'll let you know when the time starts. All right, here we go. Hold on. Wait for me. Wait for me to tell you. Three, two, one, go. Good. Done. Done. Keep track of the number. Don't forget it. Here we go. Okay, we're going. Same thing. Going in and out, cross in and out, between in and out, behind. Okay? So it's like if you've done just the cross between behind, adding an in and out before every single one of those. Okay, so look like this gonna be here. In and out, cross, in and out, between in and out, behind, in and out, cross, in and out, between, in and out, behind. All right, going for 30 again. Hold up. Don't lose that number. Keep that number in your head. Three, two, one, go. Good, done. Good work, good work. Drop those numbers. By the way, I didn't mention it, but a rep is a complete. A complete variation. So you go that cross between behind. That's one. Probably should have told you that before, but let me know where you guys are, what you guys think. Let me look at these comments. I think I'll miss a couple. Jaden, what do I need to do to start next year? I don't know, bro. You got. I don't know. I don't know what you. What your game looks like now, but guessing if you're a guard. Number one, be a great shooter. Shooting is the most important skill in basketball. You probably heard me say it before, but I'm always going to say that because it's not even a debate in my opinion. You got to be able to shoot the basketball. And then number two is this. You'll be able to handle the basketball. If you can do those things really, really well, you're going to start other thing. You got to be able to play defense. All right, So I don't know what grade you're in, where you're going into, but you can't guard anybody. Coach can't trust you to play. So shooting, ball handling, defense, Those are the three things you got to have. There's a couple. 23. Good job. 30. Yeah. Ian said podcast is fire, everybody. If you haven't seen the podcast, go to my channel, check it out and I'm taking questions on there. Okay? So if you guys have any questions you want to answer, drop them in the comments, send me a DM on Instagram, all that trying to go up to varsity next year. I'm a guard. Same thing with you. Especially for you younger guys, if you are a freshman or sophomore, that's the biggest thing I think, is defense. At the varsity level, you got to be able to play defense because a lot of times, I mean, you got to be going against 17, 18 year old dudes who just have more. They're just more developed than you a lot of the times. So that's got to be something that you work hard on. And obviously this, this off season is tough because the best part is being able to go against those older guys during the summer and the fall to get ready to play defense. Obviously, we probably won't have any of that. So you got to be a little more creative and now's the time to work on your bow handling, work on your shooting, all those skills that you can then translate. So that's what I'd say. Now, if you're looking to make that jump to varsity, but also going along with that, make sure you physically can handle it. So I have a strength workout on my, on my channel you got to check out. You got to be able to handle the physicality of that, of that program. What's up, Miguel? Set a vision. That's right. Shout out to Matt o'. Neill. Doing it twice. Respect, bro. Eighth grade. You going into eighth grade or are you in eighth grade right now? Because if, I mean, if you're going into ninth grade, then everything I just said definitely applies to you. You got to be able to do it. And, and a lot of the guys, it depends what school you go to too. And Ian asked me a question about this actually, so I'm going to talk about that on my podcast. But. And a lot of it depends on what school you're at. So a lot of times you'll go to a school that's loaded, right? And it's going to be tough for you to get early varsity minutes. So that's something that you gotta be considerate of too. All right, y', all, good work. Like I said, make sure that you guys check out the podcast. Ask me any questions you guys have on there. That way I can kind of have that ability to kind of talk it through. If not, see you guys later. Probably do another one of these workouts. Probably later this week, maybe in the weekend. So be on the lookout. Make sure you guys put my notifications on, too. So you always get it. You always get it. And you know when I'm going live? When I announce I'm going live, too. Okay. Other than that, I'll talk to you later.
