Yo, what's happening everybody? How we doing today? How's it going, Maxwell? Chef Supreme, Rufaro, Isoprents, Wheels, Judy. What's happening everybody? Give you a few more seconds. Get going about. Probably about 30 seconds. Get it going. Andrew, what's happening man? What's going on, Ian? Getting ready to work. It's gonna be a good one today. Could be going today. Not much, Max. We're hanging y' all a few more seconds. We'll get going into it today. Working a lot on being able to. We're gonna focus on the in and out today, the in and out dribble. We're gonna get into some freestyle ball handling as well. And Toddy. What's up, what's up, what's up? Alright, here we go. Let's hop into it. So what we're doing to start off is getting our handles a little bit warm. So all we're going to do right here is we're going to go five low dribbles, right into five high dribbles. Okay? So it's going to look like this. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
1, 2, 3, four, five. 3, 4, 5. 1st, 2, 3, 4, five. 1, 2, 3, Four, Five.
Alright, you're going to get five with your right hand and five with your left. So five low dribbles, five high, that's one rep, five reps with your right hand, switch to your left hand, do the same thing. Here we go.
1, 2, 3.
Getting nice and warmed up. Nice and warmed up. It's like, it's like 70 and sunny right now, so it's perfect weather for, for basketball side right now. Love that. Good work, Max, Good work. All right, yo, give y' all a couple seconds. Gonna hop into set two here. Same exact thing. Going five low, five high, five sets, right? Five sets left. Let me know when you're done. Here we go. Good job guys. Keep it up. Good work. Keep that up. Maxwell, good work, Good work. Couple more warm up stuff, hop into those in and outs. All right, so now we're working our ability to go into a jolt cross or a tap cross. Basically where you're going to go from like a knee high dribble to a real quick low dribble coming across. So it's going to look like this going to be here, boom there. So boom, boom. So you guys see that I'm trying to meet the ball at the ground when I go across here. All right, so we're going to go right there. I want you to get 10 total reps, okay? So 10 crossovers total. Here we go. Let me know when you're done pushing that speed here, guys. Like I say, for every workout, if you're new or if you don't remember every workout, we're looking to push that speed that you can do these drills at. That's how we get better. Not being afraid to mess things up. Good job, guys. Good work. We got one more set of those. All right. Same exact thing. This time, I want 12, 12 total crossovers. Let me know when you're done. Here we go. Nice and low. Quick on that cross. Good job, guys. Good work. Good work. All right, so we're gonna take that and essentially just something that you guys need to know. Jess, I'll talk about that in a minute when we take our break. So just something you guys need to know. When we work on that, that little, like that jolt dribble, you want to make sure that the reason we work on this is so that your ability to. You're able to react to anything defense does. So if the defense, if you're dribbling and that guy reaches in to try and steal the ball from you, you can be here, you can go low and get into that. Getting to go by him. All right. Also what we're getting into now, you're able to split, and then you're able to kind of like split all gaps. What we're gonna do here, we're gonna work on going between the legs. So we're gonna simulate like there's a screen here. All right? So our guy comes up, sets his screen. We're gonna go here. Then we're gonna quick, low between. Okay? So if I'm right here, my guy comes and set a screen for me. Okay. I use that screen and the screeners defender steps up the hedge.
It.
I can get real low in there, tap it through, and get downhill to the basket. Okay. That's what we're working on right here. So we're going to do. We're going to go five per hand. So I'm going to start on the ball, my left hand. I'm going between my legs. Then I'm going to go quick, tap the split and get downhill. Okay? So it's like this. I'm here, there. Okay. Bring it right back. Same thing. I want five with the left, five with the right. Let me know when you're done here.
It.
Really get that ball nice and low. Work on getting through there. Good job, guys. Job. Quick break. Justin, answer your question. Do you need a basketball trainer? Not necessarily, but definitely is helpful and definitely I Mean, at some point. Yeah. If you're going to play in the NBA, all those guys have a trainer. Probably every high major D1 guy does too. Probably 90, 85, 90% of all college players do. So keep that in mind. All right, though, that being said, there's a lot of stuff you can learn online, but you have to also be willing to get help from. Even if it's just your coach, your high school coach or whatever, AAU coach who can help you out as well. You're gonna need people to help you. So understand that. All right, now we're doing. We're gonna work on that in and out. So it's like we're going to get into the in and out stuff today. That's what we're going to do. The ability to go to the in and out is really going to help us control the basketball better. All right, we're going to do the stationary. We're going to get to it moving. There's a lot of combination we can go to off of an in and out dribble. Right now we're just going to focus on that in itself. So you got ball in your right hand to start. We're just going straight, feet planted in and out dribble repeatedly. Going to go 20 per hand. Okay, so I'm here.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
All the way up to 20 with my right, then with my left hand. Same thing. Let me know when you're done. Here we go. Good. Push that speed here. Push that speed and get better. Push that speed and get better. Couple seconds off. Hop into set two. Good work. All right, right back into it. Same exact thing. 20 right, 20 left. Let me know when you're done. Here we go. Push that speed. Mess it up. Good, good. Keep on working. Keep on working solid. 10 minutes in. 13 people in here. Stick with it to the end. We got about 10 minutes to go. About 10 minutes, maybe a little longer. Stick with that. Gonna hop into some more moving stuff soon. Good job, Good job. All right, now gonna work on the ability to now sell that foot with the in and out. The in and out is one of my all time favorite moves. And it's one of the most effective moves you could do. And it's so simple. Guys want to know how they can score with less dribbles. You don't need all the crossovers. That stuff's helpful. Okay. You don't have to be career though, if you can get good at it. In and out. Shifting your defender to the side being here. Boom. Getting him to go that way, you'll be able to create a lane for yourself and get downhill. Okay. That's the best part about this move. You don't have to be the best athlete in the world. If you can sell this with your eyes and your body and your foot especially, you can get guys to shift and you can beat them. So what we're going to do right here, we're just working on taking that step, shifting our body weight as we take that in and out dribble to get our defender to move. Ok? So we're going to keep that right foot planted. For now. We're just shifting it. We're just moving that left foot so ball's in our right hand. We're here, there, there, there. Notice my eyes are going that way, my body is going this way, and I'm taking that step to sell that. I'm going to drive that way. He's going to shift. I can push off and go this way. Okay. But for now, we're just going to work on shifting and selling that move. Right Now I want 10 with the right hand, 10 with the left hand. Okay, here we go. Sell that move. Good work. Five, six. With dribble moves, there's no, there's no personal. There's no set like moves you need to have. It depends on what, what's kind of, what kind of game you have. Okay. So as you're playing, think about what moves would help you. And then there's always a simple ones. The in and out move is very effective. Having a good crossover move, all that stuff is effective. So that's what I would recommend. Grab a quick drink, move my camera real quick, give you all about 20 seconds. We'll hop right back into it. All right, now here's what we're going to do. We're going to work on being able to go from an in and out into a float dribble. Okay? So how we're going to do that is we're going to start moving now. So I'm moving this way. All right? If you got a little bit of space in front of you, use that as well. Here's what we're going to do. You're going to be right here. We're going to go double in and out into a float. Okay? So it's going to look like this raising up, up into that float. Okay? So when we take a three dribbles, two in and outs, one float, I want you to get about three or four moving forward. When you get to the end, you're Just retreating all the way back. Whatever moves you want back into it, go back into that same thing. Okay, Five of those. So five trips with your right hand, five with the left hand. Okay. Double in and out float. Here we go. Good work, guys. Go work, guys. Got you, Andrew. Yeah, yeah. Justin, there's a lot of. There's a lot of good stuff on YouTube. It's also a lot of not great stuff, so just make sure that you're sifting through that. Good job, guys. Good work. All right, so now we're going to get into being able to go from that in and out into a crossover. All right, so moving forward again, same exact thing. We're here to go in and out, cross, in, out, cross. Okay. Not necessarily selling that with a step as much now. It's more about quickly going from in and out to crossover. Okay. Being able to control that basketball. Gonna go six, six trips. Okay? So get all the way here. Retreat back. Same as, I think, coming forward. All right, six trips. Here we go.
It.
Here we go. Stick with it, stick with it. Got a couple more sets. Get us a freestyle stuff. Six of them. Good work, guys. Good work. All right, what we're doing now, hopping into our next one. Gonna go in and out between the legs. Same thing. Only difference now is going between the legs. Okay, so I'm here. Same thing. I want six trips. All right, here we.
Go.
Got one more of these. We'll get into some freestyle stuff. No isoprents. I want you guys to tell me you're done. I want you guys to tell me when you're done. Keep on working, guys. Maxwell, you're a guard. Your number one skill. There is no one skill you need. But podcast I'm dropping today in, like, literally 15 minutes is all about why shooting is the most important skill by four. So that I can put that in the garage after, too, if you just leave the keys there. All right, going into behind the back now. Same thing. In and out, behind the back. Six trips. Here we go.
It's.
For sure, Maxwell. And then also as a guard, obviously, you need to be able to handle the basketball. So really, the three things as a guard you have to be able to do have to be able to shoot the basketball. Okay? In today's game, you got to be able to shoot if you're a guard. Two gotta be able to handle the ball, and then you gotta be able to guard your position. So if you're point guard, you gotta be able to play defense on other point guards. All right? That's the main thing. Okay, here's what we're gonna do. So we're gonna go in and out. We're gonna go triple crossover, freestyle, whatever you want it to be. So that could be in and out, cross, between behind, in and out, double cross between, in and out, between, between, behind. I don't care. Okay, mix it up. We'll go six trips again. All right, so in and out, triple crossover, whatever kind of crossovers you want. All right, here we.
Go.
Let's get it. Let's get it. Keep pushing it right here, guys. Got a couple more of these. Couple more of these. This is where it gets fun. You get to just. You're in a game, break your guy down right in front of you. In and out, shift your guy, whatever moves you want. All right, we got one more set of these, one more set of these freestyles. All right, so now what we're going to do is we're going to go into that in and out. You can go as many crossovers as you want, but I want to at least be two. In and out. Could be a double cross, could be a triple cross, could be a four. You could do quadruple cross. You could do five. I don't care. As many as you want. At least two, though. Okay? I want you to go 10. 10 reps this time. So 10 trips. All right, here we go. Finish out strong. Let's go. Control that ball. Here we go.
It.
Have fun with it, guys. Come on. Keep pushing it to the end.
It.
Isoprents. Good work. Good work. Finish out strong, guys. Finish it out strong. So we get better when we get tired. And as you really start to push that pace with the ball, your handles just seem better. That's how we get better. Throughout one workout, we start isolating that skill, that in and out that we add on to it, make it way more difficult. Go faster every single time. Really push our speed. That's how you get better. Progressively continue to do that with your skills. We start off breaking something down, then when we have it down, we go at it 100%, and we're not afraid to mess it up. Lose that ball. Lose that ball. I gotta make a t shirt that says lose that ball. Just thought of that. Speaking of which, you guys have got a T shirt. Make sure you check it out. That's in a link of my Instagram also. You're not following me on Instagram. Make sure you do that as well. I post for all of these. And Maxwell, good work today. So you guys have any more questions, drop them. I'll Answer them for you. If not. My podcast is dropping on YouTube in like 10 minutes probably, so make sure you guys check that out. Yeah, it's gonna be about 10 minutes. It's dropping, so check it out. Like I said, it's all about why shooting is the most important skill in the game, basketball, and how you actually need to develop that skill. If you guys watch my podcast, last week I talked about how to actually get better at your skills and how a lot of people aren't actually focusing the right things. This kind of leads more into this, into what I'm going to talk about today. So make sure you guys check that out. And always you guys have questions for me. You want me to answer. If you can't reach me on here, send me a dm. Basically every week I have questions in my podcast from my DMs. Okay? So if you have any questions, let me know. Coach, my handles have been a lot better because you my grip on the ball. So good. Appreciate that, Maxwell. Keep tuning in, man. Keep tuning in. Look, here's the thing. You either get better or you get worse. So you continue to stick with it and be consistent with work on your handles. You'll get better at it. If you don't do anything with it, you're not consistent. You'll get worse at it. There's no saying the same, so you got to make that choice every day. Thank you, Coach Wheels. Appreciate that, man. Shout to all you guys for tuning into these. Continue to keep it rocking. You know, most of you guys probably know do these twice a week, so I'll probably have another one on on Wednesday usually, so be ready for that if that changes though, like it did this past week. It was on Thursday. Follow me on Instagram. You'll know that because I always post about it the day before. So make sure you guys do that as well. And then always on on the weekend. So like I said, podcast dropping. Got a got a workout dropping tomorrow. Probably have two workouts coming out this week. I'm working out with some college and high school guys tonight, so probably post that on my channel this week and any more questions, answer them. If not, send me a DM and I will talk to you guys soon. Peace ball handle workout, scoring workout. Every day it's going so much better. Awesome, Andrew. Love to hear that. Keep working, man. Hey, shout out to Saudi Arabia, man. Shout out to you guys out there. Keep working. Talk to you guys soon.
