Right.
Here's a full workout that I went through with two of my high school players. This workout focuses a ton on finishing and shooting, specifically being an adaptable finisher around the rim, being able to read the defense quickly, creating shots off the dribble and making those shots, and then being able to make catch and shoot threes. We got some really good work in in this video, but I also think it really captures the vibe of the gym really well, which is really important to me. These are some great drills to do if you can get a couple friends or a couple teammates in the gym with you. Let's get into it.
Let's just go right to krawls off the start here. Everything's going to be same hand, same foot finish. So if I'm going. If I'm going left or there, everything's with that left. We go right. It'll be right. Right. Two more. Same start to that between. Now you're just reading how I'm playing it. Finish it. Oh, yeah. Skip. Has this song grown on you at all? Because this is the one you told me immediately to skip. Okay. Yeah, we did. Same place. We're going right to a spin off a crawl now. Same thing. You're just reading me finishing that. That might have just talked to. It might have just talked. Go freak out. We're gonna ch a little bit. I'm going to be a little bit closer to you now on this start.
You can go.
You can pick your start. It's either going to be a between or a spin. Okay. I might be anywhere within the paint now. One more.
Let's go.
Pickups here. So let's just work ourselves the top of the key. We just go up a drop for now. Nice and relaxed. We're dropping. We'll get ourselves to. Let's go low. Pick up to start it right here. You can pick which side you want to finish on. Think about the foot that you pick it up on because it should be left. That's my dribble Step by. Pick it up on that step. I get my two, which is going to help you get the whole way across. One, two, y.
So hold on.
Let me just see that dribble timing right here. Like, just give me a few steps where you're dribbling right. Same time as that left step. So that pickup will happen on one of those. Yes. So you kind of have to do it like what you just did. You almost have to, like, pace it a little bit. He usually does it really well where he, like, kind of like Waits a second and then he's on his step. You know what I mean? We'll play off a reach here. So, John, you keep your ball for now. It doesn't matter. You're just dribbling. You can be in that spot. You're gonna reach. I'm gonna be this help. So essentially be. It's gonna end up being a 10 at the rim. John, you're just gonna reach for it. You can get a piece of it. Cool. You're letting her go, though. You're just reading how I play it. You gotta finish it. Basket or floater? Almost took a charge right there. I could have. What do you think about this song, John? As soon as he comes on, zone out, people are like, this is your top three. You're just dribbling elbow. John, you're walking around in a circle. D. You've got one dribble any direction. Get a shot, score.
You stay.
You're going to five. Three point line with it. Have to take two dribbles. Oh, yeah. This is like, right outside my top. Like, this is four. This is four. Virginia beach, first person shooter. First person shooter. Still one. Daylight's five. That's the top five. It's good.
I have it.
I have 8:00am in Charlotte over that. First person shooter, Virginia Beach, 8:00am in Charlotte.
Listen, Drake always has stuff on the moment. Like 5am in Toronto, 8am in Charlotte, 4pm in Fall Bass.
Yeah. 6am in State College. We have to listen to the album.
Play all the gaps, you know what I mean? If the ball's here, I usually play down there. I have to come up and defend here facing the ball. But if it gets past here, I have to try and face here.
Okay.
And then if the ball's over there, I'm in low hole. There might be traps here with, like, this person down low might come with a trap here.
All traps. And then, like, let's say you're like. You're this guy and you go to trap right here. Ball gets skipped. Like, you might end up just rotating down. Other person rotates up. So you're literally just like all over. Like, you're used to all. Spawn zone. John didn't hear that because we'll probably run that against him December 1st.
That's.
We're gonna close out shooting here. Yeah, you're facing me. Kind of splitting the splitting. Split it in half. Shot fake if you need it. If you need it, you got a shot fake. You have to find a balance between getting far and also, like, being able to the catching get it up quick, you know cuz you're like dead brain right now.
Fast that when he jumps I'm gonna get blocked.
Definitely shot fake though. You were scoring. Knows like he.
I swear he knows.
It sounds like he's in your head right now. That's what that sounds like. Okay, let's put it this way. If you don't have the shot right away, do whatever you need to do to get a shot off. So that could mean shot fake in a dribble. That could mean you just go to work. I don't care. You can get mid range. Doesn't matter to me. You've got to get a bucket. That's. That's. That's what I want. Oh yeah.
There it is.
Let's go five spots here. We're gonna go first. Two seven makes edgy spot because all catch and shoots just mix it up going into it. Sad. Back to back mates. Free the line.
We're good. I appreciate you for watching. Make sure you click the top link in my description below to get my free elite perimeter score program. I'll talk to you soon. Peace.
