As a Christian dating coach, I will only ever teach you the science of attraction, not mind games or tricks. You'll never learn how to attract fake women. Here are you ready to learn how to talk to women without being awkward? Let's dive in! My first tip for you is to practice small talk. And I mean actively practice this. The goal is not to stay with small talk. A relationship that only ever has small talk isn't really much of a relationship. You need deeper conversations to create emotional connection, absolutely. So if you're somebody who's like, "But I hate small talk," that's okay. I mean, that's a fairly normal response. However, small talk is what helps in the early stages, helps you both feel comfortable and start to create that chemistry. So it's very important for the beginning of a relationship. One of the cool things though about small talk is you pretty much can just learn it once and then reuse it. I often say the same silly things to new people all the time because they don't know. The only people who know are the people who know me really well and happen to go shopping with me. It's totally okay to use the same cheesy or go-to friendly things over and over again. The truth is, the fact that you actually have something to say is going to make you stand out. So once you start learning small talk, you don't have to reinvent the wheel every person you talk with. You just have go-to things that you say. Now, it's very important that you do practice small talk in low-pressure situations. You do not want to wait until you're standing in front of a gorgeous woman. That is the wrong time to learn. Just start using small talk wherever you go. At the grocery store, when you're waiting in line for something, at work. And actually, a fun idea that came to me as I was writing this video for you was those of you who have access to my Coach Melannie AI assistant that's been trained on my content, you can open a new chat there and you can say, "Hey, I would like your help practicing small talk." And it can help guides you through that and you can get feedback on your small talk. So if that's something you do, you have, take advantage of that. Use that. You can do that with flirting or really texting, all kinds of cool things. And if you don't have that AI assistant and you'd like to learn more, I will put a link in the description below. My next tip for how to talk to women without being awkward is to please avoid complaining or venting. Negativity destroys attraction incredibly fast. For many people, complaining and venting is a habit. They maybe don't even realize they're doing it. Or some people feel empowered or like they're this champion of justice if they're complaining about everything and calling everybody out for everything. But what they don't realize is that negativity is incredibly draining to themselves in ways they don't realize, but also to everybody else. People don't really enjoy talking to people who are draining unless they like to complain and vent as well. And then they'll enjoy their time together. Instead, you want to focus on being someone that people feel lighter around, someone who people feel more connected to and safe around. You wanna be somebody who's encouraging, who's uplifting and positive. Here's the cool part. Just like negativity can become a habit, So can positivity. Maybe you have a strong habit of negativity and complaining. You can in fact break that habit and turn it to one of positivity. It's like I teach in my Academy, people like people who make them feel good. If you want people to like you, you need to make sure you're not draining all the energy from them. So avoid the venting and complaining and instead focus on what you can say that's encouraging and uplifting. My next tip for how to talk to women without being awkward is is to ask her questions. One of the best conversation hacks ever is to ask questions. Now you do want to be careful that it doesn't sound like an interrogation. You do want to keep it casual. But asking questions, when people ask us questions about ourselves, most people like talking about themselves. It's also conversation is easy because we usually know the answer to, "Well, where did you grow up?" "Oh, is that your favorite color?" "Oh, what's your favorite kind of music?" You know, we usually know the answers to that and we kind of feel important because we're talking about ourselves. However, again, you don't want it to be, "I'm just here to ask you a whole list of questions," and then you can feel really, really awkward. It's not a two-way conversation anymore. This is again why practicing small talk in low-pressure situations can be so helpful. You kind of start to get a feel for when you should ask a question, when you shouldn't. You kind of start to to get a feel for the flow of conversation. For instance, I was in a situation the other day where I met somebody new and we had to drive to a meeting together. And they're an awesome person, I really enjoy spending time with them. They were much more reserved than I am though. And I could tell if I just started asking a whole bunch of questions it would make them feel uncomfortable and it would cause awkwardness and tension. Tension, and that's not what you want. So instead, I looked for things we had in common that I could talk about. I even talked about myself sometimes. Sometimes we're like, "Never talk about yourself!" No, sometimes that's how you can make, like, a lighthearted joke about yourself, and that can help ease the mood as well. So I would talk about those things, and then I would ask a question when I could see by their body language that they were relaxed and it was a good time to ask "one?" So I would kind of lighten the mood, read the situation, and then ask a question. Then they'd ask me the question back. So it's not about interrogating them, but do make sure you're asking questions because it helps the other person feel like they're a part of the conversation. So let's pretend you're talking about music, because music's playing. So you talk about how you feel about music or what kind of music you like and then ask her what she likes. Possibly ask her why she likes it. It's kind of like a dance. And the more you practice it, the better you'll be at reading it and the easier it will become. My next tip for how to talk to women is to now listen to what she says. Sometimes when we think about talking and being good at talking, we only think about what we will say. But it's equally, if not more important, to actually listen to what the other person says. Honestly, this is kind of a superpower that many introverts have. They tend to be very good listeners. Have you ever been talking to someone and you can just tell they're not remotely listening to you? They're either distracted by something else or maybe they're thinking about what they're going to say next in their head. You feel like you don't actually matter to them and like what you have to say just isn't important. And that's a terrible feeling. But when someone pays attention You feel understood, you feel seen, you feel like you matter. And that's the feeling you want to give her. As humans, especially in this modern fast-paced world, we crave that feeling. We crave feeling seen and understood and like we matter. In addition to that, you will get bonus points if you remember things from past conversations. When a guy remembers something about you that you talked about like 2 weeks ago, "oh my goodness, you have so much more respect for him, you treat him differently, you see him as exceptional because that's what he is." But you're not going to remember what she said 2 weeks ago if you're not listening. So rather than overanalyzing, thinking about what you're going to say next, instead, just listen to her. It's actually better for there to be a slight pause in conversation because you were listening instead of planning what what to say next rather than for her to feel like you weren't paying any attention to her. My next tip for how to talk to women is to practice confident body language. A big part of being someone who's fun to talk to really just comes down to confidence. When we become nervous or timid or start overthinking, then talking to someone starts to feel more like a chore rather than something fun. It should be a fun interaction. You deserve to have talking to a beautiful woman feel fun and exciting instead of painful. It's all about building confidence. That's one of the most important things you will ever do for your love life. That's why confidence is such a large focus in my online academy. And one of the best ways to feel more confident fast is simply by practicing confident body language. So instead of crossing your arms, closing yourself off, fidgeting nervously, looking around the room. Instead, shoulders back, make eye contact, and just smile. Breathe. As a matter of fact, did you know the simple act of smiling causes your brain to send out those feel-good chemicals? Even if it's a fake smile, even if it's not a genuine smile, your brain can't tell the difference. It still going to send out those feel-good chemicals. So smiling can make you feel much better very quickly. I actually share a quick confidence-boosting exercise with you in my free masterclass. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just embrace the nervousness. Often the more we try and fight nerves and that nervous feeling, the more we obsess about it and the harder it is to let it go. So honestly, sometimes just accepting it and letting it be what it is is incredibly helpful. The more you fight it, the more you focus on it, the more you obsess about it, the more you feel like a failure because it's it's still there. But if instead you just say, "You know what? Nerves are pretty normal. As a matter of fact, she probably feels nervous too," that's going to help you just breathe, focus about something else, and help it just kind of dissipate a lot faster. You may even want to turn it into a little bit of a joke. You don't have to, but you could just say, "I'm sorry, I'm a little bit nervous." And she'll probably giggle and say, "Oh, me too." And it's human and it's normal and it's fine. This concept of just kind of accepting it and letting it just be what it is is something I kind of learned through acting. The first project I was ever a part of, it was opening night and I was a teenager. It was opening night and I went out on stage to check my props, make sure everything was good, and I looked out at all those seats and realized that was about to be filled with people and I had never done anything like this before. And I like felt that jolt of panic, right? However, I did like a little reality check and I was like, okay, realistically, it's pretty normal to feel nerves before you go out on stage. So it's not like anything's wrong with me. It's not like I'm gonna die. And the second thing I realized was I've been working hard for this. I've been waiting a long time for this opportunity. I don't want to make myself miserable with fear. And so I decided to turn it to excitement instead. And so I let the nervousness kind of translate into excitement, and it was a very, very fun experience for me. So now when I am presenting something or something like that, I will just remind myself, "Okay, those nervous feelings are pretty normal. Don't take it seriously." And they go away a lot faster. So honestly, sometimes it's just best not to fight the nervousness. My next tip for how to talk to women is to flirt and compliment her. You don't want to overdo this, especially early on. You don't want it to feel like just a big, huge, long, cheesy, flirtatious conversation. And you also don't want to layer in so many compliments that it begins to feel insincere. However, if you have no interest being stuck in the friend zone, you need to show that. You need to create that romantic flirty chemistry with her. It's completely okay to let her know in appropriate ways that you're attracted to her, that you think she's cute, that you're interested. This is what's known as pursuing. Be playful and lighthearted. Playfulness is kind of the essence of flirting. Give her a sincere compliment. One way to avoid overdoing this at first early on in your interactions together is to give, like, one compliment per conversation, unless it's a very long conversation. This can help you avoid putting her on a pedestal or sounding insincere. By keeping the conversation light and fun and flirty, you're going to make her feel more and more drawn to you. These are the conversations that will play on her mind long after the conversation is over. My next tip for how to talk to women is to just keep things in perspective. Sometimes we make things awkward, we feel super nervous, because we're putting too much pressure on ourselves. We feel like we have to do this perfect, or this is do or die, or everything's over. But honestly, that's a really unhealthy amount of pressure to put on one conversation. Yes, be prepared. Avoid talking about awkward or inappropriate things. Be respectful, be kind, be a gentleman. But in reality, this is just two people talking. It's honestly that simple. You think she's cute and you want her to think you're cute too. You're not asking her to marry you, you're not sharing your most embarrassing moment, you're not even admitting what your biggest fear in life is. Those are things you should only be talking about once you have emotional closeness. For now, this is just two people talking. It's not life or death. Allow yourself to enjoy the fact that you're talking to a really cute gal. And honestly, if you're a good man who wants an authentic wholesome approach to dating and love, if you're sick of the mind games and the tricks and the stupid content, okay. Okay, secret end of the video club, our word for today is clouds. Why? Because I'm one of those people who actually really likes to look at clouds. They look so fluffy. Don't you just wish that they were like this this big puff you could jump on? I wish they were. I think that would be really fun. So anyway, comment "clouds." Never forget you're amazing!
